Lightroom for students : want to use it as pay monthly

I need to download lightroom for a one semester class, if I sign up for it and pay monthly can I cancel before the year is up or do I have to keep the membership and pay when I won't be using it for more than 2 months?

Yes, adobe offers student rates as well. I would suggest calling them to make sure you are getting the correct offer as well verbally confirm that you will not have an issue when canceling after your semester. I used the full creative cloud for one semester last year and did not have an issue. I did set the account up with a representative over the phone.

Librariand seems to be required by iCloud in combination with Evernote. Do you have Evernote installed?

I am a primary school teacher and amateur photographer and I like to buy the version for students and teachers as I have been waiting for this latest version as I've worked with version several times but did not possess in my personal computer.

Purchased InDesign for Mac, want to use a PC

If I already own InDesign CS6 for Mac, what are my options if I want to use it on a PC? I use a Mac as my primary computer, but I have a powerful PC that I am interested in using as a backup. I don't necessarily want to re-purchase my programs for it, though.

With a perpetual license I think you could get a "cross-grade" to switch platforms, but only once, and it won't leave you any better off since you'd lose the Mac usability.

Students want to use their CC accounts while in our lab

We have ourCC 2014 lab licenses installed under our department AdobeID. Students want to access their CC accounts with their Adobe IDs. Can we do that without breaking the licenses?

The CC desktop app needs to be deactivate & signed out, students can activate & log in with their valid Adobe ID.

The activation count for each CC can be only two. Frequent deactivation & activation can precipitate some error.

How would I create a Summary Chart for the Current Year Using a Count by Month?

I have a data set of 3 date fields. I would like to create a summary counting all of the occurrances of each of these dates per month, similar to using a SumProduct() command in excel.
For example, my data is as follows:
Registered Date |    Application Date   |   Sale Date
1/1/2007             |      2/1/2007            |     2/20/2007
1/10/2007           |      2/1/2007            |     3/20/2007
2/20/2007           |      3/10/2007          |     3/20/2007
I would like to summarize this information by month as follows:
                      | Jan '07   |   Feb '07 | Mar '07 | TOTAL
Registered      |      2        |   1           |    0         |   3
Applications    |     0         |   2           |   1          | 3
Sales             |     0         |   1            | 2            | 3
TOTAL           |   2            | 4            | 3            | 9

Yes, but it will require some effort. Group on "Sale Date" Change the group to group by month.   You can then create a running total for "Registered Date","Application Date"," Sale Date"      For Registered date, I used Field to summarize Registered Date, Type of summary was count, Evaluate use a formula, reset on change of group 1 (I only have one group, "Sale Date") The formula will look like this.
month ({Registered Date }) in [1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12]
You would build your other running totals (Counts) using the same methods,
Once you have these, you should be able to create your chart.

Muse CC 2014 wants Serial Number, though i pay monthly for muse

today update my muse.
Than i got two version of muse on my pc.
The old one is still woking, but the new one; when i am opening it, wants from me a serial number.
Why?
is the update of muse a new stand alone product, not an update?
i got installed my muse on two pcs, one desktopm one laptop.
Do i need to deactivate the old versions?
need some, cause this sucks, when you pay monthly and it doesn't work.

For the student edition of Lightroom, are updates automatic and free or do you need to pay for updates?

Same as any other version: minor version updates are free. Major version upgrades are paid for.
e.g. Lightroom 5.0 to 5.4 is free. Lightroom 4.0 to 5.0 is a paid for upgrade.

If the edit in photoshop doesn't work with ps 7 (might be too old) you'll probably have to specify an additional external editor for lightroom under
Edit>Preferences>External Editing
Photoshop 7 should work with lightroom after doing that.
Anyway it does on a windows vista machine.

Photoshop CC is now asking for me to buy the program after paying monthly for a year

I have been paying for my Photoshop CC for a year now...anniversary is April 16. Now when I attempt to click on the program a box comes up saying that my "trial" is over and that if I want to continue I must buy the program. I have been off of trial for a year! No one from Adobe has contacted me and the order page from last year says that I would have ADobe contact me if there was a price change...so why can't I access my program?

Installing edge animate for students

How would we install edge animate for a class of students?
is there any way to install it without using creative cloud?

Going through Dave's answer there, Animate seems to be currently free, if you have an Creative Cloud account (Free or Paid - http://html.adobe.com/edge/animate/faq.html#pricing). What I would do is get each student to register for a free CC account. Install Edge Animate on each machine, then if a student wants to use it on the machine, they can log into the Application Manager using their Adobe ID and the license should activate the installed Animate for them.
I assume this wouldn't be against Adobe T&C, as each computer is using a license registered to the student, but it might be something to check.

My student has been using Lightroom 4 with Photoshop CS5 on her Mac for well over a year. Because of the difference between the Camera raw version available to her in Photoshop CS5 and the raw process in Lightroom 4, she has been exporting her raw images

Because of the difference between the Camera raw version available to her in Photoshop CS5 and the raw process in Lightroom 4, she has been exporting her raw images from Lightroom and choosing the "Render using Lightroom option when it popped up in the dialogue box. She has been doing this for over a year and a half without any problem. Today when she hit Command E no dialogue box appeared and the image just opened in Photoshop. I'm concerned that all of her Lightroom edits are not being rendered to Photoshop. Anyone have an idea as to how we can get the "Render using Lightroom" dialogue back?

Welcome to the US! I think you can just take your ID card to the Apple store or shop online : http://store.apple.com/us/browse/campaigns/education_pricing
the site has all the info for eligibility and available items for purchase -- I think you can type in your school to see if on list of approved schools. I think the ID checking is rather benign. discounts are modest from what I recall.
