Lightroom Gallery

I am looking to publish portrait photographs on my studio website via Lightroom 2.5. Recently a customer asked me to password protect the gallery before posting onto the web to ensure family privacy. The facility is not currently (!) there. So how can I do this? is there a clever plug-in or method?

John is absolutely right. As both of us have developed web galleries, it has to be said, only server based password protection truly works. Using HTML or Javascript methods can be circumvented.

  • Adding a Lightroom Gallery on an iweb site- that does NOT use .mac

    I've been checking all past posts but only find references to adding a Lightroom Gallery in iweb if the user has mobile me/uses a .mac account. Someone else has asked this same question on July 20 and received no answers so far. Both of us using iweb '08. I've also gone the other direction but all Lightroom answers also refer to .mac accounts.
    I've tried following the methods in past posts using html snippets and iframes but they don't seem to be a perfect fit without the .mac account. Anyone have any advice here? Many thanks.

    I tested and it worked fine for me....
    I went through Yahoo steps and had code generated...
    Went to iWeb and on page I wanted to add chart, I clicked on the "Web Widgets" icon at bottom of iWeb page and picked "HTML Snippet" and then pasted code in area provided (where it says paste code), finally I hit "Apply" saved my pages and published. Worked fine.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Lightroom Gallery Issues

    Hey guys
    I have been having a problem lately uploading my lightroom Gallery and it is really starting to get annoying.
    Sometimes the website displays flawlessly,
    Other times it is all out of proportion.
    I don't change any setting in between the exports, and one works while one gallery does not
    I export and then upload via Filezilla,
    Here is a reference to my website:
    Could someone please help me out here (:
    http://bombers.comeze.com/U18/LowerClarence/
    Cheers
    Callum

    lightroom gallery gets exported,
    images get watermarked and saved as the original images, no change in image name, size, res, etc  ( software: Visual Watermark )
    I am still able to view the index.html file locally, works flawlessly
    gets uploaded via filezilla
    unable to view the website correctly
    would this mean a filezilla/webhost error ?
    all the files correctly upload, i've checked them all and for any errors
    but nothing out of the ordinary
    cheers

    can you embed a lightroom gallery within an Adobe Muse site and confine the rendering of it to the actual page?
    everything I have tried allows the gallery to open to a full screen when you click on it and you lose the navigation of the site . . . .does that make sense?

  • Can't Export Lightroom Gallery

    I have a slideshowpro plug-in. Normally, I use this plug-in to create a template and I manually upload the exported gallery to my website. I have never had this problem before, but I can't "save" the gallery. The save button isn't enabled and won't allow me to save anything. I can export individual files with no problem, but the export functionality doesn't work when I try to export a slideshowpro gallery. I've tried exporting a lightroom gallery and am having the same problem. Any ideas what is happening?

    No, this is a new folder I've created and tried to save to. I've also tried saving to preexisting folders on both local and external drives. The save isn't enabled no matter where I try to save.

  • How do I add a lightroom gallery/slideshow to my BC site?

    I've tried to "publish" my slideshow gallery to first my blogger to no avail and now to my BC site that I have created.  Why aren't any of these Adobe apps compatible or able to integrate/communicate with one another?  I refuse to believe that there is not a way...there has to be!

  • Lightroom Gallery in Dreamweaver.

    I was making a flash web gallery in Lightroom, and was wondering what I need to do in order for Flash Player to display my images, because right now it’s just blank. Thanks. I'm currently using Dreamweaver 8 but I also have cs3 on another computer. Anyway, thanks for your help.

    I've no experience with using Lightroom, but have you looked at these help docs:

  • Embed Lightroom gallery in web page

    Hello all,
    Here for help with embedding a Lightroom created gallery into
    a web page in Dreamweaver. My test page is at
    http://www.grayareaphotography.com/Copy%20of%20Home%20Page.htm
    (dont mind the mess this is just a testing page) scroll to the
    bottom and you'll see the LR gallery embedded. At the top are links
    to all my other LR galleries, they open in separate pages (perhaps
    the way LR would perfer it to be done).
    On to the question. I found discussion on how to do this at
    http://www.bluefire.tv/blog/flashgalleries/using_flashvars.html
    using flashvars, and I have been able to get the shell of the LR
    gallery to load, but I can find the code, or mistake or oversight,
    that will load the actual pictures. I've emailed BlueFire, no reply
    yet. So thought I would ask here too.
    All my LR galleries, their folders and files reside under my
    root, grayareaphotography/galleryName.xxx.
    Here is my code for embedding LR galleries thus far. Anyone
    done this? anyone know or see something I am missing?

  • Lightroom gallery in iweb

    I have created several flash galleries in lightroom and am using them in iweb.
    The thing i cant figure out is why is my gallery having borders in Internet Explorer, but has no border in Safari and Firefox.
    Here is the webpage that the gallery is on: http://www.lydia.deliriumpro.com/Lydia/Paintings.html
    My html snippet looks like:
    <iframe src=
    "http://deliriumpro.com/lydia/lightroom/paintings/index.html"
    style="width:900px; height:600px;
    border-color:#FFFFFF;
    border-style:none;
    border-width:0px"
    scrolling="no" >
    </iframe>
    Other thing is that in Safari all objects are in place where they should be (as i have made them in iweb) but in Firefox and IE they are not.
    Thank you,
    Azz.

    Leave out the style code and use this code for the <iframe> (Should always work):
    <iframe height="320" src="http://url.to.page.html" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" width="506" allowTransparency="true"></iframe>
    Use your own numbers for width and heigth and your own url in the src.
    You also may want to consider not using Flash. Your gallery doesn't display on my iPad (nor do the editing features of this forum, btw. Apple, do something about it!!)

  • Lightroom gallery for Dreamweaver

    Hi,
    I've created and launched a website (www.milileitner.com) with dreamweaver (CS5.5) which contains an intended gallery section.
    Using forums and such like I have been able to create a gallery in Lightroom (3) and upload it to the hosting server.
    I am now stuck as to how to embed the gallery into my existing galllery page (which is currently blank).
    If anyone can help I would eternally grateful as I am at the end of my website knowledge.

  • Missing Metadata from Lightroom Gallery Jpegs

    I have been making some Lightroom web galleries using standard templates that are included in LR. However when I examine or remove the large jpegs it seems that my metadata has been stripped out by the process. I'm looking at the large photo in Photoshop CS3 by going to File>File Information. None of the keywords or copyright information is present.
    The metadata displays correctly in the Library area within Lighroom.
    I'm using Mac OS 10.4.8

    Thanks for the suggestion Sean, I'll give that a try. I'll also run a test by simply trashing the old sidecar files. That may be the path of least resistance.
    I hate to go back to Bridge especially after spending the last year using Photo Mechanic, which I still use in my assignment workflow. For editing, ranking and renaming it's head and shoulders above Bridge but it's weakness is that it can't make customized web galleries and it's not a RAW converter either. It does make galleries but they lack even the most basic HTML customizable features without serious coding. That said, Photo Mechanic's ability to embed metadata is fantastic. You can even embed the unique file name of each image as a keyword. If you've ever been handed back one of your own images by a client after they remove the file name and spent time searching for it you'll begin to appreciate being able to go to the metadata and just get the file name in the keyword field.
    I'm using Lightroom only to make web galleries for my stock site and it's very important to me that copyright info gets embedded into each image. Keywords would be helpful too but that's not a deal breaker.
    So far Lightroom has been fantastic as a batch processing tool but I'm amazed at how difficult it is with metadata. If metadata can't reliably be entered and saved in files then what good is it? The thing that bothers me the most is that it looks as if it's totally stripped out in the gallery process which is unspeakably awful.
    I hope that the answer is that I'm doing something wrong in my processing and that it's easily fixable.

  • Imbedding a lightroom gallery into my gallery page

    How would I embed a flash gallery I've created in Lightroom, into my website gallery page. Candidlovephotography.com

    Flash galleries are not a good choice for several reasons.  Many people can't see Flash.  Mobile & tablet devices don't support Flash.  Flash consumes a lot of resources.  Flash is pretty much dead as a web technology.  You would reach a much wider audience with an HTML &  jQuery gallery.
