Lightroom in Adobe Application Manager
For some reason I can't seem to install lightroom because its not in my adobe application manager. Lightroom is one of the reasons why I purchased the Adobe Creative Cloud. As a matter of fact, it used to be there because I had it installed at one time. I'd like to know what happen to it since I didn't remove it myself. Any ideas?
Are you running Windows XP?
Lightroom 4 will not run on Windows XP and will not appear in the AAM on an XP computer.

I'm trying to migrate from Aperture to Lightroom. Needless to say the existing help documentation assumes the installer software doesn't crash!
When using this page:

The only download link I can access is:

Which attempts to launch the Adobe Application Manager to perform the installation. However, after displaying the loading screen for approximately one second, it crashes. Is there any way to get a direct download for LightRoom?Downloads available:

PS Lightroom not appearing in the Adobe Application Manager
I am in the trial period of the Creative Cloud.
All the software titles except PS Lightroom is appearing in the Adobe App Manager except PS Lightroom.
I have 64 bit Windows 7 Home version and I have updated the App Manager to latest release 6.2 but PS Lightroom is still not appearing for download
What gives?software which are not compaitable with your system will not be visible in the list of Adobe Application manager.
Lightroom is compaitable on Windows 7 servicepack 1. Please check with service pack is installed or not on your machine. if not then please update your OS first to view and insall Lightroom in Adobe Application manager.
Also check this link for minimum system requirement required for lightroom: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-lightroom/tech-specs.html -
Adobe Application Manager says Lightroom is installed. Its not.
I have been migrating my apps to a new drive and now I cant install Lightroom couse Adobe Application Manager says Lightroom is installed allready. What to do???
We have to Re-name the OOBE folder and so we will be able to install the software from AAM, once it is installed we can undo the OOBE folder.
Mac HD> Application support > Adobe> OOBE
For 32 bit : C:\Program Files > Common Files > Adobe\ OOBE
For 64 bit: C:\Program Files( X 86) > Common Files > Adobe\ OOBE
You can re-name the OOBE folder as OOBE.old.
Note: Please don't forget the Re-name the OOBE.old as OOBE once the software is installed. -
I am running Lightroom 6 in conjunction with 64 bit Photoshop CS6. I need to install Camera Raw 9 plus other relevan updates for the Adobe Design and Web Premium CS6 package. Running Adobe Application manager finds the relevant updates but won't download / install them. Clicking the update button results in an error message "Application Manager has stopped working". This is a windows system running 64 bit Windows 7

Lightroom and other applications not showing in Adobe Application Manager
I have just installed the Adobe Application Manager several applications aren't list, for example lightroom.
I have read that it might be due to my system spec, however I doubt that. My system specs are as follows:
OS: Windows 8 Pro
CPU: Core i7-362QM
RAM: 8GB
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 7730M
HDD: 250GB SSD (OCZ)
Does anyone have any idea why some applications aren't showning?I see a couple things which could be causing you problems. First it doesn't look like you have a 64-bit OS thus Premiere and After Effects are not available.
Also the fact that the apps are listed as Try means that you aren't logged into a paying subscriber account on only have the ability to try the applications. This is why Lightroom is not listed as being available. -
Adobe Application Manager crashes everytime I try to download Lightroom trial
Hey,
I am using a Macbook air and I am trying to download the free trial of lightroom on this mac but everytime the download loads the adobe application manager crashes and ends the download. Any ideas on how I can fix this?
Thanks,
AromingerApplication Manager or the CC desktop app? Sign out of the Creative Cloud desktop app, restart your computer and sign in again. Don't start any other programs. If that fails, sign out and uninstall the Creative Cloud app. Run the CC Cleaner tool. Re-install CC app and sign in.

How do i install lightroom from adobe creative cloud if my adobe application manager doesnt have it
i just got the adobe creative cloud and my adobe application manager doesnt have the option to install light room and more apps that the cloud has
Simple answer: If it doesn't show up, your system doesn't support it. refer to the tech specs on the product pages and verify the system requirements.
Mylenium -
How can I solve this bug?
Ok Mylenium, you are right! Sorry for my shortcut. Here's the story:
- Win8, German
- I have signed up to Creative Cloud and
- installed several programs via Adobe Application manager.
- My standard installation path is F:\Adobe Creative Cloud\
- Language is English (international)
- Pr, Ae, Ps, Ai, Au all installed on this F-drive (which is a dedicated SSD drive only for programs)
- If I want to install Lr it does not work like it works for all other programs
- Lr ignores the F-drive standard installation path and installs on C:\Program Files... instead!
- Also, Lr ignores the selected language (English international) and installs in German (which is the OS language) instead
- The help chat guy recommended to download Lr seperatelly and install it NOT via the AAM but I do not want this option as I want AAM to manage updates in the future. Also, if it is possible to install Lr on the F-drive via seperate download, why should this not be possible via AAM??
I do NOT want Lr to be installed on the C-drive as I setup a dedicated harddrive for programs only.
I want it on the F-drive and I want it in English like all other programs (to avoid confusion and changing terms from one language to the other).
I believe this is a bug as it has been reported many times in the last months bot no reaction from Adobe as far as I can find at least. -
Premiere Pro, Creative Cloud & Adobe Application Manager all wont open.
One day it was fine, the next it's not. My Premiere Pro, Creative Cloud & Adobe Application Manager all wont open.
No error messages, it just doesn't open. I can't get through to talk to staff (because why should you be able to right? You only pay for the service..)
Could someone please shed some light on my situation?
My Lightroom and Photoshop are running fine as normal. I wish I could provide more information but it's really that simple - none of it will open.
Thank you!At this point, I think I'd just download & run the Adobe CC Cleaner app, and use it to uninstall & clean up your PrPro & the Creative Cloud desktop app itself ... then download a fresh copy of the CC desktop app, install & sign into your account, then download & reinstall PrPro ...

I am trying to update Photoshop CS6 in order to read my camera's RAW files. It is a camera that is supported by Adobe Photoshop CS6. However, when I try to get the Adobe Application Manager to update the software, it fails to do so. (The spinning wheel tells me it is checking for updates and then quits, saying that "Update Failed - Updates could not be applied. Adobe Application Manager may be damaged. Download and install a new copy of Adobe Application Manager.")
I have tried to reinstall the Adobe Application Manager 8.0, which gives me the following error message "We've encountered the following issues. Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem." However, when I go to the link provided to download the Adobe Support Advisor, this piece of software NO LONGER EXISTS. "
The Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued
The Adobe Support Advisor tool was used to analyze installer log and system information associated with installation errors. The tool has been replaced with improved installation support mechanisms. Please visit Adobe Support section for Knowledge base articles around Installation."
So, I have gone to the forums and took the recommended step to update my software manually - getting the update Photoshop_CS6_13_0_6upd-2.dmg. However, this update also fails stating that my Adobe Application Manager may be damages. Download and install a new copy of Adobe Application Manager. Which puts me right back where I started.
I have also taken the step of completely reinstalling Photoshop CS6. This did not solve the problems outlined above.

Adobe application manager update server not responding
I have installed the Creative Suite 6 Master Collection from CDs,
and activated the license. Now when I run Photoshop > Help >
Updates, the Adobe Application Manager runs, but gives the error
message "The update server is not responding. The server might be
offline temporarily, or the Internet or firewal settings may be
incorrect".
Acrobat and Lightroom both updated no problem. I waited a day, but
the problem persists. Any thoughts?
Thanks, BruceI found the answer in another post (https://forums.adobe.com/message/4484225#4484225):
Go to creative.adobe.com, and download PhotoShop CC
This downloads, installs, and runs Creative Cloud
As soon as it comes up running, cancel the download of PS CC
All of the CS 6 apps are ready to update
Thanks, Bruce -

Problem still stands Open.
It would appear that there is a problem with Adobe Application Manager. When I run Bridge(64) I run the HELP->UPDATE. The system will launch Application Manager and hangs. “Checking for Updates….” Icon spins and nothing that I can see happens. I will have to use Task Manager to kill it.
It also appears that I cannot install from my CS6 Installation disk. Will not except the S/N. My guess the count need to be reset. We are at 6 authorizations.
The problem: Ever since I stopped the CC Upgrade Special and deleted CC software I have not been able to get Adobe software squared away.

After looking around he asks “Is it working fine?” – I’m still baffled at this question because he had not made any changes. My response:
Well no.. let’s check it out
1. bridge update, that would be no
2. CS6 installs? That would be No...
So what's the question?
Amit Kumar: When it is already install, then why are you installing it again.
Rod Chatfield: option 1 - Bridge is my 1st choice to work. If that does not work then I have to Re-load Adobe
Amit starts looking at various systems setting and web pages and we wind up on: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
Before Amit could run anything I spoke up: “the last time a rep took me this path I had to rebuild my pc... Are you sure you are not taking me down that path?
Amit Kumar: I will just check adobe id credentials.
Rod Chatfield: get me to the next level of tech.
Amit passes me off to Udit
Udit Tuli: What is the issue you are facing?
By this time (at least an hr) I give a little push back (read the log plz) to which Udit replies, “So you are using CS6 Photoshop?”. Photoshop has not been even mentioned in the past hr.What happens next is the pinnacle of Adobe Customer support:
Udit Tuli: Then what is the product you are using?
Rod Chatfield: please read at least the last session
Udit Tuli: Sure allow me a minute
Rod Chatfield: thank you
