Hi,
You may want to search the forum for like problems. I assume you are using the CC version and you have a trial version installed, so have a look at this thread:

  • Photoshop CC keep asking for Serial Number

    Photoshop CC keep asking for Serial Number. Adobe has charged my credit card 5x since June, but my Photoshop CC still doesn't work.

    This is also happening to me.
    I've been a subscriber for the last year and a bit.
    I've moved to a new computer at home and since then I've been getting this prompt even though I'm signed in, everytime I've opened photoshop. Now the trial has expired and I'm cut off from using it.
    This is total BS.
    I've spent the last 2.5 hours going thru every adobe support doc they've posted. Nothing works. Two hour wait on the phone, 2.5 hour wait to chat (if I'm lucky and the window manages to stay open).
    Oh hey, I can see my breach notification from here too!
    You are on thin ice with me Adobe.

  • Logic keeps asking for serial number after upgrade to 9.1.3

    I know this has been asked before, but I'm wondering if there is a solution other than erasing my hard drive etc. I had to do a re-install of my system 10.5.8 and I upgraded to 9.1.3 and now Logic keeps asking for serial number after every shut down (not if I only quit). any ideas?
    Thanks!

    Thanks for your response. I had already re-installed my OS because computer wouldn't boot up. I had downloaded Onyx and run it which I think was the start of my problems including the missing serial number - so it was looking for serial number even before my upgrade to 9.1.3. I could not find anything called a reg keyfile in either my user or startup disk /Library/Preferences/. When I put in my serial number, I can boot and quit as many times as I want until I shut down.
    Here are the 3 console messages that appear when I try to boot up and they are the same that come up after shutting down or on a launch which does NOT ask for serial number:

  • Keeps asking for serial number since upgrading

    Just took the plunge and despite some dodgy reviews, I upgraded elements via a disc install. Now each time I open it, it asks for serial number and assumes I am still on trial. This despite my account showing it is registered. Also it has up graded and not brought any plug ins with it to the newer versions.
    Think I will just stick to Lightroom completely and write this version off.
    Any advice on sorting this buggy upgrade out?

  • Adobe Application Manager Keeps Asking For Serial Number

    I bought CS6 Design Standard a few days ago, and although I have already validated the software, these last couple of days every time I open Photoshop, Adobe Application Manager thinks I am using a trial version and asks me to choose between continuing this trial and licensing the software. After I enter my serial number everything works fine but it is a nuissance to be entering the serial all the time. I never even had a CS6 trial installed on this computer before. Is there a way around this? Is this happening because of my firewall settings? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

    Hello there,
    Rather than starting a new thread, I prefer to pile up on this one.
    I have the same problem. Quite regularly, Adobe Application Manager (AAM) ask me if I want ot carry onthe trial or enter a license. I entered my license so often that I know it by heart now.
    I'm under OSX 10.6.8 (iMac desktop), French language (same for CS6 standard).
    I have only one user, and it is an "administrator".
    Rather than asking about privileges, what are the files this application manager need access to? Where are they located? Which file? Who should be the owner and what should the permission be on those files? Would a "Repair permission" fix this for these application files (i.e. non system files)?
    Thanks in advance for any help.
    Pierre
    PS: The same CS6 is installed on a laptop under 10.8.2 (with same serial). I use it rarely. But there it does not seem to have the same issue. So far, AAM did not ask for serial again and keep updating happily.

  • CS6 for iMAC keep asking for serial number nearly everyday

    Hello,
    There is an iMAC (OSX 10.10) in my company which was purchased 2 years ago with CS6 Design Standard installed.
    There was no problem at all after the purchase.
    However recently, CS6 keep asking the user to type the serial number nearly everyday(see attached image); the software can be used normally once the serial number is entered.
    The user is a general user without admin privilege. Anyway I have tried to closed all adobe products, login with admin account and enter the correct serial number, it works as usual; however after one or two days CS6 still asking for serial again... so I guess this problem shall not related to user account privilege.
    I believe my serial key is a volume license key.
    Any suggestion? Thanks.

  • Lightroom 3 asks for serial number launching in non-admin account

    The following information was provided by Carey Burgess (Adobe Employee):
    Does Lightroom 3 launch and work fine in an admin account, but when you launch the application in a standard (i.e. non-admin) account it asks for a serial number?
    If so, then it is likely due to a file permissions issue either in the original (admin) account or with the standard account.
    (Although you need administrator access to install Lightroom, and you do need proper access permissions to your photos, you should be able to run Lightroom without issue in a standard user account.)
    Lightroom 3 stores registration data (the serial number) in a file called Lightroom 3.0 Registration, which is stored by default in one of these locations:
        * Mac OS: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom
        * Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Lightroom
        * Windows 7/Vista: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Lightroom
    -  Check for the registration file in the appropriate location for your system.
    If the file does not exist in that location, then ensure you are logged in with the admin account (the one where Lightroom doesn't prompt for a serial number) and check the user-specific location instead:
        * Mac OS: /Users/YOUR USER NAME/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom
        * Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USER NAME\Application Data\Adobe\Lightroom
        * Windows 7/Vista: C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom
    If the file exists in the user-specific location instead, then I would suggest that you ensure that you have quit Lightroom, and then move the registration file from the user location to the default system-wide location. Lightroom should now no longer prompt for serial number when you open it from a non-admin account.
    If the registration file did (or now does) exist in the default system-wide location, but you are still being prompted to enter a serial number when opening Lightroom in a standard user account, then that account does not have sufficient access permission to the registration file.
    To resolve this aspect, there are two possible solutions (the first being the recommended solution):
    1. Change the access permissions on the Lightroom folder that contains the registration file to grant "Read" access for the standard user account. (You can do this for each account individually, or you can use a broader group like Everyone.)
    For more information about changing permissions, see one of these articles:
        * Windows XP: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308419#4
        * Windows Vista/Windows 7: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/What-are-permissions
        * Mac OS: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.6/en/8342.html
    2. Copy the registration file from the system-wide location to the user-specific location for the standard user account. (You would need to repeat this step for each standard user that needs access to Lightroom.)
    Reply here if these steps do not resolve your issue, or if you have any questions.

    Months ago, I had a routine clearout of old software boxes etc and chucked out my Lightroom 1.0 box. A couple of weeks ago I reinstalled Lion on my mac to find that I cannot register Lightroom. I have the 3.0 upgrade serial, the 2.0 upgrade serial, but the 1.0 was on the box..
    I followed the instructions above to find the files in crashplan form before the fomat that hold the registration details. I have tried placing them in the location described, but it doesn't seem to work.
    The serials (or something) are in the file, but given in the string that is difficult to decipher - and doesn't work in the registration screen, wrong size and a mix of letters and numbers rather than just numbers as my 3.0 serial is.
    Any suggestions for what I could do? Could I send the strings in to Adobe to be deciphered? Perhaps move files around a bit more?
    Thanks in advance,
    Rog.

  • App keeps asking for serial number (which I don't have)

    I've downloaded my app (Audition) that my company already purchased for me. The app keeps asking for my serial number (which I don't have). When I'm logged into Creative Cloud, Audition appears in my account. What gives?

  • Mac OSX Photoshop CS6 keep asking for serial number

    Hi, I don't know why, but since few days ago, my photoshop CS6 started to pop up with the trial message and ask me to enter serial number. However, I'm on a one year subscription for photoshop CS6 only, there is no serial number.
    I opened the software, and choosed "lincese this software" and then signed in with my adobe ID.  After that, the message ask me for serial number.  This didn't happen before.
    My systme is :
    Now it says I only have one day for the trial. Please help me to resolve this.
    Thanks
    Eric

    @CKPAD.co - The Adobe ID you are using to post here has never signed up for the Creative Cloud, not even a free/trial account. Are you using a different Adobe ID for a Creative Cloud subscription? If not this would be the correct behavior. The 30 day trial ends and you can either puchase a perpetual license (serial number) or a Creative Cloud subscription.

  • Photoshop keeps asking for Serial Number ( I already purchased it online)

    Hi,
    I bought the Photoshop app through the Adobe website for a yearly commitment as student. I downloaded Photoshop from creative cloud, then I try to open Photoshop, it asks me to sign in, I sign in then it asks whether I want to start a Trial or License This Software. Where in the world can I get the serial(license) number from?No one has provided me with one and I never got any confirmation e-mail that supposedly has the serial number. This is really making me angry because I really need photoshop for my class because I have homework that is going to be way over due if I do not get photoshop up and running by morning. I keep trying to contact someone through a live rep but NO ONE is giving me straight answers! please anyone help!
    Thank you,

  • Homesite keeps asking for serial number

    My Homesite 5.5 was working fine until a few weeks ago.  Now it continually asks for the serial number whenever I log in.  Even when providing it, the serial number screen will keep flashing until I cancel out.  Only after I provide the serial information (after canceling out) will the program open.  I am on Windows 7.  I wonder if one of their goofy upgrades has ruined my beloved program?

    Just started having this problem myself.
    I am thoroughly disgusted that Adobe has removed this wonderful little program from the update and support list.  I refuse to EVER use Dreamweaver.  If I wanted a program that bloated my code, inserted useless stuff without my knowledge, I'd use FrontPage.  Looks like I'll have to be trying out other programs.  This is really too bad.  It's a nice program.

  • CS5.5 Keeps asking for serial number!

    Hi,
    I have had 5.5 installed since it came out. I returned from a week away and it instantly promped me for a serial number which i provided. It accepted it but now keeps prompting me for it over and oevr again without letting me in to any of the programs! It is happy with the serial number provided (green tick) but then keeps asking me over and over for it. It's driving me insane! Can anyone help?
    I have tried ininstalling it and installing it again by way.
    Thanks,
