LightRoom Lens Correction ... huge list (of some of which I have never heard!), but still no mention of Zuiko (Olympus) lenses in the drop-down, even in my 4th update: version 5.6. Anyone know why Olympus has been ostracised in this application?
I am now using a new Nikon, but I still have thousands of images captured with my (very good) Olympus E500, but still frustrated that its lenses do not appear in the drop-down list in the lens correction module ... not even in the latest update, version 5.6
What camera? Is it a mirrorless? Most of those have lens profiles that are built-in and always on so there’s nothing in the list.

Choose iTunes > Preferences and click Advanced.
Click Change and select a new location for your files.From now on, new songs and other items you import will be stored in the new location. Songs you’ve already imported stay in their current location.To go back to storing imported files in the iTunes folder, choose iTunes > Preferences, click Advanced, and click Reset.

Recently on my mpb I was editing a jpg using the shapes option and know notice that the heart shape no longer is an option to use. Anyone know why? The square, circle and lasso are still there.
I am not aware of a heart, square, circle or lasso shape i=for editing in iphoto for the Mac - Maybe you are thinking of iPhoto for IOS which has been discontinued and is not available under IOS 8

The screen is frozen while installing software updates. Say about 2 minutes and it has been more than hour. How can I cancel or do something about it? Is it ok to unplugg it? Please advise.

Can anyone help me figure out why the setting in System Preferences and CDs & DVDs will always revert to Ignore when I set the drop-down menu to When you insert a music CD, to Open ITunes? I've tried iTunes Help and it told me exactly what I have been doing. I've even tried downloading iTunes again, to no avail. If anyone has had the same problem, please let me know. I would very much appreciate it.
In iTunes Preferences not system preferences under the General Tab there is a drop down in the lower part letting you specify what action to take when a CD is inserted

And secondly, you can have variables of type int and variables of type Integer. What is the difference?Integer is a wrapper class for the primitive int type. It allows you to use int-type concepts in places where an Object is required. But don't over-use these as there is a memory and performance overhead that must be taken into consideration. -
This is driving me crazy. The player resets mid song, whenever it's connected or disconnected to any device (i.e. car, desktop, dock) and proceeds to begin playing my entire music library in alphabetical order. That 1st song is getting pretty annoying. Does anyone else have this issue? Is there any fix? I haven't found any settings or preferences for this so I'm a bit stumped and very frustrated.
Yes, I'm having that same problem. I had the same problem in iOS 6, but could get around it by starting the song I wanted before connecting the phone - annoying to have to do, but at least it worked. In iOS 7, it appeared to be fixed, but since updating to 7.02 that no longer works. In fact, not only does it play the first song (yes, it's getting VERY annoying), but when I then choose the song I want, the first song it STILL displayed on my car radio.
To make it worse, the Music app insists on keeping Repeat All turned ON. If I disable it, the next time I connect there's that first song and Repeat All turned on again.
So frustrated that I just don't listen to music on my phone anymore in the car. I should also mention that displaying the wrong song info has never happened before 7.02, but whether or not that was the cause I don't know. -
My iPod is losing battery even though I'm not using it. Anyone know why?
I've noticed that my iPod touch has been using up battery even though I'm not playing with it. I fully charge it, and when I leave it somewhere and then come back to it, some of the battery is gone. I never get to fully drain it because when it's low battery and I don't use it, it dies automatically. Anybody know the reason for this? Or have any suggestions on how to fix it?
Yes. the battery will onlyvery slowly drain if the iPod is powered off.
Turn off iPod touch
Press and hold the On/Off button until the red slider appears, then drag
the slider.
I leave mine in airlpane mode and then let it sleep. -
It just hangs on the grey log-in page, with the mouse cursor stuck in top left corner, and unable to key password into window, until after about 7 minutes.
I always close all applications and programs prior to shut-down, but it's as if something is running in the back-ground...

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Enter "BOOT_TIME" (without the quotes) in the search box. Note the timestamps of those log messages, which refer to the times when the system was booted. Now clear the search box and scroll back in the log to the last boot time when you had the problem. Select the messages logged after the boot, during the time something abnormal was happening. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
For example, if the problem is a slow startup taking three minutes, post the messages timestamped within three minutes after the boot time, not before. Please include the BOOT_TIME message at the beginning of the log extract.
If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
Step 2
Still in Console, look under System Diagnostic Reports for crash or panic logs, and post the entire contents of the most recent one, if any. In the interest of privacy, I suggest you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if present (it may not be.) Please don’t post shutdownStall, spin, or hang logs — they're very long and not helpful. -
My iMessage is still down its 8:30 pm pacific time and I don't know what to do I can still text but it is so slow
I'm still having the same issue myself. When I go into settings>messages>send/receive my number is grayed out and won't let me select it as an option to send/receive iMessages. The funny thing is my husband and I bought our Iphone 5s the same day, are on the same mobile plan (verizon) but his is working.

All the songs are out of order on my albums. Does anyone know why?
On almost every album on my iPad the songs are out of order. Yesterday I deleted 6 of the albums, synced to iTunes and reinstalled them. When I opened them on the iPad they were in the correct order. I closed the iPad and ran an errand, came back and open the iPad again only to see all the songs once again out of order. I can't figure out what the problem is. I don't have this problem on my iPhone or either of my iPods, only on the iPad. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
Have you tried creating a playlist for your album, then
select the playlist in iTunes.

I've just solved a similar issue.
I have a dedicated server running Plesk 9.5 and when I upgraded to iLife 11 and Snow Leopard this error appeared. I could quickly click "get mail" and I'd get all my mail, but only 3-4 of my 9 mail accounts would connect. Theo others would have the error:
"The server error encountered was: The attempt to read data from the server..."
I found solutions for those using IMAP mail:
modify the /etc/courier-imap/imapd configuration file and change MAXDAEMONS from 40 to 80 and MAXPERIP from 4 to 40. This allows all the machines behind my home firewall to connect to multiple accounts on the e-mail server with mailbox caching enabled.
I'd made this change on my server but it didn't seem to have any effect. It dawned on me that I'm using POP, not IMAP. So I found in /etc/courier-imap/pop3d the same settings. I changed the MAXDAEMONS from 40 to 80 and MAXPERIP from 4 to 40 and voila, all my connections concurrently worked.
This has taken me more than two days to fix and I hope posting this helps someone else with the same issue.
