Lightroom mobile for Android devices

Hey guys,
before I ask the Facebook communities, I try to collect some information here.
I have a subscription for the Creative Cloud.
Afaik, this subscription includes Lightroom Mobile. But: please correct me, I cannot run Lightroom mobile on my Samsung Android tablet? Where can I find the download?
I pay for it. In Germany about 12 EUR/m. This is about 15 USD. And I don't give somthing else on the general conditions and terms.
Android is the most popular operation system world wide. So I guess I am just to stupid to find the download in the cloud...
Can anybody provide me more information? That wo be great. Thanks in advance.
Jörg

Hi Jorg,
This is actually a question for the Lightroom forum: Photoshop Lightroom. Here is a link to Android Google Play download: Adobe Lightroom mobile - Android Apps on Google Play

  • Why can 't I store images on my SD care in Lightroom mobile for Android

I don't understand why I can't store images on my SD card. I get that a mobile app can't ever have the same functionality as the desktop version without taking up all the memory, but what on earth made someone think it was a good idea to store images in memory that is not only highly limited, not upgradable, but also used by other apps and more importantly the OS. Why can't I store images on the MicroSD card. That thing can be 128gb which is enough storage to work on a decent collection of images.
I would love there to be some more control over aspects of the image, but what there is works well. It also syncs effectively and there isn't that much lag between each event, but what happens when I need to edit 50 images from a device I keep in my pocket [which theoretically should be viable]?
The most useful feature for me is processing images I've taken with my phone, and syncing them back to Lightroom...
Please tell me that external storage is going to be added?

    Hi canondude!
    Thanks for posting.
Ho are you bringing the video clips over to your computer?  Are you connecting the camera or are you using a card reader?  What program are you using to import the video clips?

  • Lightroom Mobile for Android Users?

    Hey there,
I'm curious as to whether or not the app will be ported to Android. Adobe say that the iPhone app is coming soon but never mentions Android.

For the same reason everyone kowtowed to Internet Explorer for over a decade: they'd rather follow the whims of a fad and go where the sheep go than do the right thing.
I'm an avid Mac user.  I use Creative Cloud for OS X, and I do all my editing on Macs.  But when it comes to mobile, that's where Apple and I part ways.  I have owned every version of the iPad up to the "iPad Air" and found every single one of them overly restrictive, closed, and more of a hinderance than a help to a genuine mobile photography workflow.  No matter how many cloud-based sync gimmicks developers try to stand up for them, IOS devices are first and foremost iTunes peripherals, and toys for content consumption -not creation -and certainly not asset management.
I pay (now monthly) for the convenience, flexibility, and platform agnosticism of Adobe apps.  I have come to expect Adobe's love affair with Apple to take priority in the desktop arena, and I'd be willing to bet more than half of the creative community agrees with that sentiment; but it saddens me a little to know that Adobe would prioritize IOS over more open and flexible mobile platforms, knowing full-well what a bunch of control freaks Apple are in this arena.
No one who has ever plugged an SD card full of 24MP or greater RAW files into an iPad considers this a serious option.  So, until Adobe decides to stop catering to the Fischer Price mobile crowd and make a serious tablet app, we'll just have to keep lugging our laptops along on photoshoots.
Given that this is the way of the mobile marketplace for the foreseeable future, I'm not holding my breath.

Not so far, only for Apple, although there has been a statement about it being available for Android devices at some point in the future.

  • Unable to load ADF Mobile for Android deployment profile.

    Hello,
I'm trying to implement a simple application on an android platform using this:
I already downloaded the updates needed as extensions and started the emulator using the SDK Manager.exe. However, i'm not able to create a deployment profile of type: "ADF Mobile for android". I only find type "ADF Mobile Feature Archive" which doesn't work for me because when i try deploying it, i don't find the "deploy application to emulator" option. Any thoughts?
    Regards,
    Mohamed

    Hi.
To deploy to the emulator or to a device, you must create a deployment profile on your application, not on the ViewController or ApplicationController projects.
    Best Regards,
    Frédéric.

  • How do I rotate an image in Lightroom Mobile for the iPhone?

    Hi,
Maybe I am missing something obvious, but I can't figure out how to rotate any images in Lightroom Mobile for the iPhone. The documentation is for the iPad and shows a rotate control on the right hand side of the screen, but no such control is showing up on the phone. I tried various numbers of fingers to just spin the image, but no luck. Can someone please let me know how this is supposed to work?
    Thanks!

    Hey, thanks!
I had tried forever to figure that out. I could rotate up to about 45 degrees or so, but even that was hard to control.
    Thanks for the help.

  • Minimum specifications of DPS for Android device

I would like to know the minimum specifications of DPS for Android Device.
I found the information for Android OS in this form,
Supported versions of Android OS are :
    2.3.x (Gingerbread)
    3.x (Honeycomb)
    4.x (Ice Cream Sandwich).
Are there any minimum specifications for Processer, Memory (ROM/RAM)...?
    shimoawazu

DPS viewers should run on Froyo (2.2) or later, and only on Android devices defined as Large or XLarge. Some people have loade viewers onto smaller Android devices such as phones, but doing so is not yet supported.
FYI, this article might help in understanding the differences between Android and iOS viewers:

  • Trouble logging into Lightroom mobile for iPhone

Is anyone else having trouble logging into Lightroom mobile for iPhone?

It's working now. I guess you have to set it up in LR first. So I went through the LR setup and waited for an email from Adobe. I followed those steps next and then tried the phone again. This time it worked.

  • Phonegap integration. Building for Android device

    hey all,
i'm trying to build an apk file for android device.
    Easy with Dreamweaver yes.
Difficulty comes when you try to add some specific functionality : for instance you may want to post some stuff on the user 's facebook wall.
PhoneGap provides a plugin for that : https://github.com/davejohnson/phonegap-plugin-facebook-connect
But this plugin needs some addional stuff from the android SDK. It needs some java classes, namely the facebook android sdk : https://github.com/facebook/facebook-android-sdk
Has anybody any hint on how we could include that stuff in dreamweaver installation?
In my opinion we need to rebuild android.jar (not tried yet) but there may be another solution to tweak Dreamweaver. Or has anybody another solution to post on facebook/twitter from a native apk coming from a jquery/phonegap project under Dreamweaver?
    thanks in advance for reactions/advices/...
    Loic

    I did that on a mac :-)
however it was a standard eclipse project. I had to include the correct JARS (facebook+phonegap) in the library path and everything was fine quite easily. I mean there was no additional SDK to install due to OSX.
What I remember too is this: there is no facebook app installed on the emulator. It means when you run your app on it and try to connect to facebook through phonegap, the browser will open and ask for authentication. On your device, if the FB app is installed a nice popup will open and ask for authentication and authorization (or just confirmation if you are already authenticated).
in conclusion there's no need to buy a mac for that. Be sure to check phonegap forum and post your problem. Phonegap releases have evolved a lot and they are quite responsive.

Logging into SAP BO Mobile I see 'Import from Server' option where I entered the lumira cloud address https://cloud.saplumira.com because this is where my report resides which I want to see in my hand held.I see some certificate errors and I have no idea how to go about this.

So when I initially land on cloud.saplumira.com
I get a Site Security Certificate is not trusted.  Chrome on PC doesn't throw this, only on my Androids.
    Proceed Anyway
    Press Log On button
A window comes up saying No Certificates Found
Asking to install a certificate from PKCS#12 file with .pfx or .p12 extension..
if you hit Install...window pops up again..  and again.. Chrome is expecting there to be a local file to install.. which there is not.
    Hit Cancel
You get the Log On panel...  and it goes through.
