Lightroom mobile trial starts without warning

After upgrading to Lightroom 5.4 I was greeted to "Get started with Lightroom mobile" in place of the identity plate, and prompted to sign in. I was curious what it was all about so I signed in. Little did I know this would start my 30 day trial period without warning me first. Any way someone at Adobe can reset my trial period? The application shouldn't trick people into starting their trial this way.

    I received an email from Adobe saying that I had signed up for a 30 day trial of Lightroom Mobile. I do not remember doing this. While I'd love to try this service at a later date, this is a busy time of year and I will not be able to take advantage of the trial.     That is not true Keith. If it is like you say I could not have the trial version and I had it during a month without any problem!

    Margaret, Mobile is only available to CC subscribers because it needs the cloud as the mechanism for syncing between Lightroom and Lightroom Mobile.
    Maybe they could say it more  explicitly, but the necessity of CC membership is pretty clearly implied (several times) by this page:

  • Lightroom mobile trial expired issue

    I have CC Master and in my installation of Lightroom, it only tells "Lightroom Mobile Trial Expired". Same in iPad. "Your trial period has ended"
    I installed it way back almost right away, when it was announced. I also posted a note on a forum about this, and the guy said this would be fixed well before trial was over.
    I mean: come on! Someone already said that this is a thing Adobe is working on and that it should be resolved well before trial period is over. Well it is not!
    Could you please fix this. I am fed up with all the crap I have been having with CC subscription. Not the first time I have had issues with it. Once I spent two hours with chat tech support trying to fix something that should have been just working.
    Crappy, crappy, crappy work, Adobe. I am losing my faith here, and I am not alone.

  • Lightroom Mobile Trial Expired error

    "Lightroom Mobile Trial Expired" error message. I have current CC LR/PS bundle. I've tried the standard things, nothing works so far.
    I couldn't find a way to add to other threads, so I am starting a new discussion.

    Mine hasn't expired yet, but I don't want it and would like to know how to remove it too!

    Last week I purchased the upgrade version of Lightroom 6 for $79.00.
    I did not sign up for the $9.99 per month subscription for CC.
    I downloaded and installed the LR software.
    When I run my new LR software, in the upper left corner there is a message that says, "25 days left in Lightroom mobile trial"
    I did not download a trial version, I purchased the full version. Can you explain why the message?

    I clicked the "Lightroom Mobile Trial" long before it was available for Android, and subsequently my 30 days were wasted.  Now it's available for Android, and I can't try before I buy.  Is there any way I could get you to recharge the trial period so I can play with it?  Thanks!

    As it says I cannot use LR Mobile and I have no confidence that if I subscribe to Creative Cloud that the restriction will go awaY!

    That's a shame, I'm not going to pay twice for the same software.
    I've deleted it from my iPad, now I need to stop Lightroom trying to synchronise with it.

  • Lightroom Mobile Sync starts over after Yosemite upgrade

    My Mac spent weeks uploading 100,000 photos to Lightroom Mobile.  Now, after upgrade to Yosemite, it suddenly shows "Syncing 100,000 photos" in status.  Why does it think it needs to re-upload?  Would it happen on every OS X upgrade?  This is a very serious regress...
    UPDATE: Actually it's going through them very quickly, seems to be some checksum comparison rather than full reupload.  Already at 66K.  Still wonder why OS upgrade triggered it.

    Could it be that you  made metadata changes or  a 'Save Metadata to file' on all images, that would trigger such an update. 
    An update to Lr itself is very likely to cause a resync of metadata as we often add metadata fields to sync. So if you did that, you'll see it go to 100000 in your case and then quickly drop down.

  • Just paid for LR upgrade from perpetual 5.7 to LR 6 (not CC).  Why am I seeing "30 days left in lightroom mobile trial"?

    I suspect it has to do with me downloading CC for Photoshop and LR MANY months ago.
    I did not uninstall CC.
    How do I clean this up?  I'm not switching to LR CC now.  I bought perpetual upgrade from LR 5 to LR 6.

    Lightroom is still showing up as trial. I have subscribed to Create Cloud. My id is [email protected]

    Does it help if you restart the application and  logout and login again?

  • I need my Lightroom Mobile trial period resetting. Possible?

    Like an excited schoolboy, I activated my LRM trial as soon as it appeared in the main program.
    Felt like a Wally when I learned that it was iOS exclusive for a while as I do not own idevices.
    Have now downloaded the Android version only to be met with the trial expired message. Is there any one here who can help me as Adobe online support said that they don't cover Mobile through the main support channel?!?

    Yeah, I figured it was a long shot although I have not technically tried it. Sure this could be proved by looking at my account.
    Don't need a sub for the trial however, this feature could have been something to swing me over to the sub model.
    Guess not.

    Why am I getting this error message - see screenshot ("Lightroom mobile trial expired"). My understanding is that by design Lightroom 6 (contrary to Lightroom CC) does not include access to "Lightroom mobile".
    Hope there is a way to get rid of this error message. Looks "ugly" in yellow against the "gray theme" of the Lightroom user interface.
