Lightroom Needs Convert Feature!

Lightroom needs a feature that lets you replace a filetype with another. For example convert a set of tiff files to jpeg, and after the conversion the tiffs would be gone (optional of course) and the jpegs would be there in thier place with filename, ratings, keywords all intact. I know you can export and bring back in and all that good stuff but then you have to go back tourhg and rate adn such. You need to be able to replace a sit of filetpye with another with a click of a button.
OK so you ask whats the point. Well lets say you have your 16 bit tiff files sitting around but you don't like the images much but not so much dislike that you want to delete them. But the tiffs are HUGE so instead you convert them to jepgs and the big tiffs are gone but you still have a nice small version of the file you couldn't completely let go of.
PS. if this is already possible please tell me how :)

You can not do that using Adobe Acrobat 9. Adobe never made a create PDF add-on for Firefox for use with Adobe Acrobat 9. They created a Firefox add-on for use with Acrobat X, but currently that one does not work with Firefox 4 though Adobe are working on an update.

Others have commented on this too. It seems to be one of the 'improvements' of the newer version you are supposed to embrace with joy as an exciting new development. You can send feedback to Apple but realize you may be perceived as standing in the path of progress.

If QuickTime Player 7 isn't in the Utilities folder automatically, you can install it separately. See:

I created project in iMovie then exported it to MP4 and also MOV file at highest definition possible + I added it to iDVD and had a number issues about encoding errors regarding the mp4 file. MOV worked but the quality was terrible.....

I have updated iDVD and iMovie.
I even bought the iSkysoft app from the mac store and that was terrible too.

On both a MacBook Pro, an Acer laptop and my Mac Tower. I would love to think that it is a problem with the playback system, and that if I merely send the file off to the duplicator they won't have the same problem. Maybe that is the case...I don't know if I have a choice rather than sending it off to see. But it happens in the same spots, in the same way, on all three of the players so I'm a little reluctant to have faith.

Of course, but in the case there is no more 'original project.' It is gone like the wind, stolen along with his computer and backups.
I think I am stuck using one of two files as my master: a DVD he burned where I only see the stutter/vibration/jitter once, or the mpeg2 file where I see it three times. Hopefully, the duplication house can rip if off of one of them and not see the jitter. I know that in audio, my personal filed, you can do a lot to enhance already existing sound--EQ, compression, tape saturation emulation software, etc. I guess I'm hoping there is some kind of analog to the video world that address jitter after a source has been printed--if indeed the source has been printed to be jittery.

I need converter a .bin file to .wav files, I'm using Labwindows/cvi for adquire Data. This binary file have data received from DAQCard-AI-16E-4, but now I need listening it, or recorder a .wav files directly. I'm sampling three channels and send data to disk specificaly a .bin file current .
The .bin file is without format of audio o any known.
Somebody can help me ? How does make it ?

For a file to be a wave file it needs a specific header format and data structure as defined by microsoft. The following is a very good resource describing the WAV file format: http://ccrma-www.stanford.edu/CCRMA/Courses/422:1998/projects/WaveFormat/
Read this document carefully and it will tell you everything you need to know about formating your anolog input into a WAV file.

iMovie 9.0.9 is the latest version you can run unless you upgrade to the Mavericks operating system (OS 10.9).
Your profile (at the bottom of your post) mentions OS 10.4.11 (Tiger) which is why I mentioned that.
The list of supported cameras is not comprehensive but articles such as:

do indicate that conversion is needed before import, at least for iMovie 9. Although it's a recent article it doesn't specifically mention iMovie 10.
iMovie 10 has a very much changed interface and a different folder structure so upgrading is not trivial so I would not advise rushing into upgrading.
Maybe someone with knowledge of this camera can help.

I have the same issue. If you are exporting from iMovie version 10.0.1, I run into the same issues if I export directly to YouTube or if I export to file then upload to YouTube.
Google's help file doesn't properly address this problem and thier help is also out of date. In talking to a support rep at Apple, they said the export to YouTube should just work or the exporting to a file then uploading otherwise it's an issue for Google support.
If someone can post a solution that works (is a streamable format - which is different than the format that YouTube accepts as it will accept many formats but take a long time to process them), I'd be interested to hear also.

Iif you bought it from the UAE or other middle eastern country, facetime is blocked at the hardware level and can never be installed.

Better Touch Tool does the snapping as well and with gestures too! so you can probably get rid of that other one.
I agree, it's something that seems to not make sense. on the other hand I didn't realize you could do it until the second year of using my mac. of course after finding out about it I would use it to shrink or enlarge the icons on my desktop when I wasn't using them so it wasn't cluttered.
I think one of the fun things about having the mac are the little easter egg abilities that aren't necessarily written out for you to know but you have the expereince of figuring them out on your own through using it or finding it out as a secret tip to quicken your workflow. Getting rid of this is similar to having a dream that you won a billion dollars and then waking up knowing you don't.

Difference between Adobe DNG Converter & Lightroom DNG Converter?

I've converted NEFs to DNGS using both Adobe DNG Converter and Lightroom DNG Converter.
I found that the converted DNGS from Lightroom have a different icon in the finder that those convereted from Adobe DNG Converter. The icon in the finder from Lightroom looks like a file icon, and that from tthe Adobe DNG Converter looks more like a JPEG icon.
Otherwise they seem to be identical.

It's not at all unusual for DNGs to be smaller file sizes if you did the DNG conversion using lossless compression, did you? Fuji raw files are known for being oversized due to the way they write their image data. Also, totally ignore any findings you may regarding JPEGs, those are lossy compressed and don't figure into the equation...
