Thank you for your prompt reply , the details required below : iPhoto 11 9.2.3 . The Mac OS X version 10.6.8 . I wanted to use the Movie and import video to iPhoto , from that moment error of all the thumbnails of the library that have become equal.
With cmd and alt key I selected repair the database of the iPhoto library , rebuild thumbnails of your photos and rebuild all the thumbnails of the photos.
A few days before I have also deleted the files , which are still in the trash, the type Master.apmaster . version- 1.apversion version0 . apversion . These files I deleted them thinking they were mistakes in the folder from the Finder today.
These files are still in the trash and I do not know how to fix them
The video files are in iPhoto and are represented by an empty icon , if I click inside me info on size, on the ' origin , iPhone, room etc, but not ' readable.
If I go on archival matter and I select a file in the movies folder , iPhoto opens a window that says :
1 illegible documents
Can not import the following document : e ' in the library
I hope to find a solution even for images imported from the iPhone that are all upside down.
Thanks and best regards
Fasest solution is going to be to restore your backup of the iPHoto library form before you

You must NEVER make any changes of any sort to the structure or content ot the iPhoto library - you should not even be looking in it except under experienced direction
I hope this helps

the error says "was not able to import video files"
    thanks

Arghhh! A big thank-you to hhps-photo, you just solved the myth bothering me for the last 2 months!
I recently upgraded to Lightroom 5 from 4 and could not import any video. But when I downgrade to LR4 it worked again. I've tried so many other solutions suggested in the forum but none worked including cleaning cache, install divix plugin, install 32 bit version etc. Finally - it's because I blocked LR5 connecitons in my firewall !!!
So simply allowed LR5 internet connection in my firewall settings and LR5 worked like a charm!

  • Lightroom: Capture time for videos imported from iphoto is not showing in metadata

Hi, I imported all my photos and videos from iphoto to Lightroom recently using the iphoto import plugin.  I think all my photos were imported but I noticed that all my videos have no capture time, so they became grouped together in my collections.  But I think I can still see their capture time in the "grey text" in each photo.  Why did this happen and how do I resolve this issue?  I really want my capture times to be in the video metadata and also want to see my videos in the right chronological order with my videos.   Strangely, videos imported into Lightroom directly from my camera SD card do not have this issue, only the ones imported from iphoto do.  Thanks!

LR does not properly handle video metadata in general, and in particular it often botches capture time.  Sometimes this works:  Select one video, do Metadata > Edit Capture Time, and then click Change All (without actually changing Corrected Time).  If that sets the capture time to the correct time, then you can select all the problem videos, do Metadata > Edit Capture Time, and click Change All.   If you have a small number of videos, you can manually correct the capture time using Edit Capture Time.
Please see this thread in the official Adobe feedback forum for more details, vote on it, and add your opinion: Lightroom: Metadata applied to videos in Lightroom isn't available in other applications

  • Best non mini dv video camera to import a football match to imovie 09?

sorry for the 2nd consecutive post, but to go with my previous problem, i am looking for a good cheapish solution to the following problem
currently the video camera i use to record the youth teams football matches is a panasonic NV G5S which requires firewire to transfer to imovie. my macbook is wonderful, but it doesnt have a firewire port. so what i have to do is import the video to my friends older mac, then transfer it to my mac . all very time consuming, around 4 hours for 1 match. also the quality is rather bad, so bad when analysing the game with the coach, we cant make out which player is which at times. therefor i am considering buying a new video camera which will import direct to my macbook without the need for a firewire cable. could someone recommend the best video camera for quaity which is compatable with the mac for around 200-300 pounds. also i dont mind upgrading to imovie 09 should this be a better application to import higher quality videos.
    please help

  • Can you import movie videos from SD camera card

Can you import movie videos (MP4) into an Ipad from an SD camera card on a Lightning cable ... or can you only do this from a laptop via Itunes? In other words, is Itunes the only way to get non-Itune videos to the Ipad? Hope I havent made this sound confusing.

To import the videos must follow a very strict naming convention.
All file names must have 8 characters for a name and be located in a folder named DCIM
    for example
    DCIM
    MOV_5789.mp4
You can't watch the videos off the cart, they must be imported into the iPad. They'll go into the camera roll, when you tap on them it'll open the video app and you can watch from there.

  • I can't import my video, and I followed instructions and still didn't work! I am about to give up. Help?

I wanted to import my video to the computer from my iPod touch 4. I would've posted it on Facebook app but it requires iOS 7, which I don't have. I followed directions of unable to import, I tried using the internet on my ipod and use facebook there but I can't upload videos for some reason. I been looking for half an hour for an answer, no where to be found! I donn't have a mac and i think its a windows 8.

    Try:
iOS: Unable to import photos to computer
    Does iTunes see the iPod?
Can you still sync media to the iPod from the iTunes library?
To download the last compatible FB app to the iPod
Starting when iOS 7 was released, Apple now allows downloading the last compatible version of some apps (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)
App Store: Downloading Older Versions of Apps on iOS - Apple Club
App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.

  • Help! ipod can't import movies/video...

hope u guys can helpme out. Just bought ipod recently but having problems importing music videos/ movies from itunes. Called apple but they said that the movies is not the right format as my ipod. How do i reformat or import movies into my ipod? pls help. thanks

There is two ways of playing back music videos. They are displayed in your "songs" as well as in "Videos" > Music Videos. When you are playing back a music video from "Songs" then you can only see a small, non-moving screenshot and can only hear sound. However if you play it back from "videos" > "Music Videos" than you can see the video and sound.
    Is that your case?

  • I can't import LX3 videos in LR4.x on win7-64bit

I have the following issue. I can't import the Panasonic LX3 files in Lightroom 4.x (including 4.2) on my main Windows 7-64bit PC. I get the error message "The movie files contain no video frames". All RAW files from the LX3 are imported correctly!
Strangely, i can import them on my MBP running MacOSX Lion.
Can anyone help me with fixing the issue?
    Many thanks,
    Alexander

If your video file isn't one of the supported formats, Lightroom 4.x can't open it. The list of supported formats is in this technote http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/video-support-lightroom-4-3.html
In case it is supported file format then make sure:
If QuickTime isn't installed and videos don't import or play, install QuickTime and retry importing or playing the videos.
If QuickTime is installed, make sure that you have the most recent version.
Restart your computer and retry importing or playing your videos.
Determine if you can import a still image, to make sure that Import is working correctly.
Try exporting the video file out as "original," then import that video back into Lightroom and see if it plays correctly.
Try to import or use a smaller clip from the same camera.
    Hope this help.

  • Importing AVCHD video in .mp4 container from Samsung camcorder

    Hello anyone and everyone,
I recently purchased a new Samsung camcorder (Model: HMX-H100N) and wish to use Premier Pro CS4 to edit the resulting video. The camcorder records video to an SDHC card in 1080i avc1 in an .mp4 container (the exact specifications as shown in GSpot and MediaInfo below) which when I attempt to import into premiere a green square is displayed. I have tried several AVCHD 1080i as well as HDV 1080i presets none of which have resulted in anything other than the green square or "Format Not Supported" error messages. I'm running Windows 7 (x86) OS and have several codecs (filters) installed including ffdshow, CoreAVC, DivX 7 as well as the built in Microsoft DTV-DVD filter and the MainConcept (adobe2) H264/AVC decoder. During normal playback of the .mp4 file Windows Meida Player seems to use the built in Microsoft DTV filter and playback is flawless, I would assume that Premier is attempting to use the MainConcept filter which seems to be unable to decode the files. Any help is appreciated.

I have bought a Samsung HMX-H100NM for my son, and we have had the hardest time importing the video cilps in Adobe Premiere Pro.
Here is what I found so far:
    - If you check the video size on the "green square clips", it's completely bogus. It might be set to  4x13 instead of 1920x1080 for example.
    - There was a firmware update for the HMX-100N on the Samsung web site in late December 2009.  As of January 17, 2010, it is not there aymore.  I was told at the end of December 2009 that there would be a new firmware upgrade in January 2010, so maybe a new version is coming soon.
    - After upgrading the firmware (I'm not sure exactly what happened with the old firmware installed, except that importing didn't work at all), I find that I'm able to import some clips if I set the camera resolution to "fine" or "superfine".  The other resolution still gives me clips that I cannot import. When a clip import is successful, I can play the vide. However, if I save the project and reopen it, I will get "green squares" in lieu of some of the good clips. Rebooting the computer and reopening the same project might give me a different set of bad clips. I have reported this as a bug.
    - Just for the heck of it, we tried importing the same video clips in Adobe Premiere Elements and that worked just fine.
    In summary:
    1. Try setting your video resolution to "fine" or "super fine" in camera.
    2. Try using Adobe Premiere Elements.
    3. Pray that we get a fix in Premiere Pro soon.
    4. I'm looking for recommendation for a different video camera that will work "out of the box"

  • Please help CS 4.2 will not import ANY video file

I've been working for days to get this fixed. Everything installs fine software wise and I am using a
Matrox RTX2 for capture/playback but Prem CS4.2 will not import any video file type.
My system is up to spec.
I've seen this problem discussed but none of the (many) suggested solutions have helped.
I've uninstalled and re-installed the OS and clean install multiple times and still I get "file format not supported" with EVERY file type.
    Please help!
    Brian

    Brian,
    Welcome to the forum.
When issues occur with Matrox cards, updating its drivers often fix things.
If you create a non-Matrox Project, can you then Import AV files?
    Good luck,

  • HT200094 FCPX import Iphoto videos

I just bought the newest version of final cut Pro X but i still can't import my videos from iPhoto in the Media Browser.. What should I do?

what none of these people responding seem to understand is he has the NEWEST version of final cut pro x, and the instructions of ...
    File>>Import>>Files
No longer exists as an option
It is now IMPORT MEDIA... the word FILES is no longer existant
Since the reform of IMPORT MEDIA, to FCP...
FCP and IPHOTO are no longer compatible.
I have the same problem, and I am trying to solve it, and no one on here seems to have a solution to the NEWEST version of FCP
Im very scared they have removed it as an option all together.
The iPHOTO LIBRARY is visable as an option on FCP IMPORT MEDIA page, but it is GRAYED out, signifying that the 2 programs and their medias are NO LONGER COMPATABLE
Can we get some experts in here please, who know what they are talking about and have the newest software at hand when they attempt to answer questions.
    Thank you.

  • TS2289 Audio won't import with video in iMovie 11

My iMovie 11 (9.0.4) is all of the sudden malfunctioning - it's not importing the audio with the video.  I've even tried importing clips that just a few days ago imported perfectly with the audio... but now the audio isn't importing.  So I know it's not a problem with the video file.  And I know that I have the volume up in iMovie... the intro w/ music that I have in iMovie is playing the audio perfectly.  The problem is with importing a video file (mp4).  I've literally imported hundreds of video clips into iMovie, and have never had this problem. My Mac is 10.6.8.  Any suggestions?

    I'm using imovie 9.0.9 with OSX 10.7.5
I also went through days of troubleshooting why some clips have sound and some don't.  All quicktime files have sound when played from quicktime.  But no sound when imported into imovie.
None of the Apple or User suggestions worked.  But I finally found a solution.  I'm working on a project with over 100 clips.  Everything was fine until I tried to import around 20 clips at the same time.  Some had sound some didn't.  Also, when done with each section, I exported the movies and deleted the thumbnails from the imovie clips window to clean up and organize the session. When re importing clips which previously had sound, the sound was gone but the image would play.
What I found was that any file which had been deleted from the clips window, was now in the Rejected Clips window.  Re importing the file would only show image but no sound.  Once I Move Rejected Clips to Trash, emptied the finder trash, and re imported the files, all files played with sound.
Back up original files on hard drive
    In imovie
    Select View Rejected Clips
Select Move Rejected Clips to Trash
    Empty Trash in Finder

Glad you pointed to that thread; the message was proven repeatedly to be erroneous and misleading.  Windows natively supports AVCHD (e.g., Windows Media Player, Windows Media Center).  All new consumer and most new professional HD video capture devices (including all forthcoming Nikon D-SLRs) use AVCHD rather than, say, the .MOV format that you do support which actually is NOT supported natively in Windows and requires a QuickTime install.
Again, it is a trivial task to have Lightroom recognize/catalog/playback AVCHD files.  About an hour's work programming-wise to incorporate AVCHD capability into Lightroom's shell (and Adobe can simply let pre-Windows 7 users know that they'll get AVCHD support when they upgrade to Windows 7).

  • Help importing iDVD video

I'm having trouble importing iDVD videos into iTunes (and then into my iPhone) that I made with iMovie and then burned with iDVD. When I try to import it, nothing goes into my iTunes movie folder. I get the sense that there's a problem with the type of file it is, but I'm not sure what to do about it (and haven't seen a similar post here). Thanks-
    Dino

If you still have the working file from iMovie, you should be able to save as mp4/aac file (quicktime), instead of working with iDVD file. If you have one of those, it is even better - just drag it into iTunes. If you have non-standard aspect ratio, then you will have to convert it to iPod video somewhere (in iTunes also).
DVD files are in a folder called Video_TS and they need to be ripped using Handbrake or some other software like that so it can be used in iTunes.
It is time consuming, from my perspective, so I don't do it very often...
    Cheers
