Lightroom not on my Creative Cloud list?

Hi I have just paid onto the monthly plan for Photoshop and Lightroom, however, lightroom does not appear on my creative cloud list to download. I have downloaded Photoshop CC sucessfully.
Any tips?
Cheers,
G

A longer version of the same answer:
There are two versions of LR5, one that you download from www.adobe.com <http://www.adobe.com>  and is the non-CC version trial.  Then there is the CC version that you get by logging into the CC Desktop app or going to creative.adobe.com/products.  The two programs work the same with your images but they are licensed differently, one with a serial number and the other by logging into CC.
To get the CC version to download, you first have to uninstall the non-CC version, then get CC to see that you’ve uninstalled LR by logging out of the CC Desktop, via its Preferences / Accounts area, then reboot, then log back into CC Desktop.  At this point it should rescan what is installed on the computer and not see LR5, anymore, and so should offer LR5 CC.
This is how things worked since last summer, when I went from LR non-CC to LR CC.  It is possible that Adobe has or will be making the process more streamlined, by having only one LR program that can be licensed either way, or a CC Desktop app that can see that the non-CC LR is installed and still offer the CC LR, but your question indicates they haven’t done either of these things, yet.

  • Lightroom is not installed but Creative Cloud thinks it is!

I have completely uninstalled the entire Creative Cloud set of products including Lightroom 4.3 and Lightroom 5 (both 64-bit).  The icons changed to generic icons, indicating that the application link was broken, due to the fact that the product was no longer installed.
When I go to Adobe's CC website to try and download Lightroom 5 after signing in, my web browser asks which application I want to use to open the download link.  I choose the Creative Cloud application but nothing updates in CC Desktop.  I am on Windows 7 64-bit SP1.
I do not know why Creative Cloud Desktop still thinks those apps are installed and does not give me the button to install it.  Instead it shows "up-to-date".
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
P.S.  I also checked with the Adobe Cleaner Tool to make sure no CC apps were installed.

Lehestro (and anyone else having this problem on a Mac), I had this same problem tonight and solved it. I got a new hard drive for my Mac Pro today and did a clean install of Mavericks on it. When I installed Adobe Creative Cloud for the first time, it thought I alfeady had Lightroom installed and "Up to date" for some reason even though I hadn't installed anything but the Creative Cloud Desktop. It's possibly because it detected the application on my old hard drive, which I had mounted to transfer files to the new drive.
Anyway, I first tried installing the Lightroom trial application because I read that Cretive Cloud would update it to stop asking for a serial number. I installed the trial, then moved all of my relevant Lightroom settings over from the old hard drive to the new one so I could keep all my settings. I got most of these files from the various preferences files inside "~/Library/Preferences" (including all files and folders that start with "Adobe" as well as "com.Adobe" and "~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/". I believe that's where all the files I transferred were. And of course I copied my Lightroom catalog, backups, and previews files to my user folder as well (just do a Google search for "moving lightroom files to new computer" and you'll see what files to move). I used the same directory structure on my new hard drive so there would be minimal confusin when moving all my files over.
While that did keep all of my settings quite nicely (and I mean everything, including camera calebration defaults that I had changed and things like that), it still asked me for a serial number.
What eventually worked was simple. I dragged the "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.app" icon out of my Applications folder and into the trash. I then logged out of Creative Cloud, shut down my computer, unmounted the old hard drive, rebooted, and logged back into CC. Once I did that, Lightroom wasn't listed in my installed apps anymore, and became available as a new download. I downloaded and installed it from CC, and voila! Now it launches without asking for a serial number, and it still kept all my settings that I dragged over from the old hard drive. The only thing I had to do was go to the Plugins Manager and re-install my Picasa and SmugMug plugins. When I did that, it still even still retained their settings and had all the images in the galleries I had built on and published via my old system.

  • Lightroom 5 not available on Creative Cloud

I had the Lightroom 5 trial version on my computer and then I bought the Creative Cloud license. After the 30 days trial the software stoped working and then I decided to uninstall and install again, but now only Lightroom 4 is available. So, what comes in Creative Cloud  membership, Lightroom 5 or 4?

Renguede Lightroom 5 is currently offered with an Adobe Creative Cloud membership.  Have you utilized the steps listed in Creative Cloud Help | Install, update, or uninstall apps to install Photoshop Lightroom 5 through the Creative Cloud Desktop application?

  • Want to reinstall Lightroom 5, do not want the Creative Cloud

  • Reinstalling Lightroom 5 from the Creative Cloud

Assistance required. I have had to delete the previously installed Lightroom 5 Creative Cloud app. however the download app tells me that Lightroom 5 is still installed . Tried restarting the computer to no avail. How do I reinstall Lightroom 5 from my Creative Cloud membership??

I had the same problem where Lightroom 5 would not reinstall from Creative Cloud.
I used the uninstallers located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder.
I also followed all four steps under "When you open the Creative Cloud desktop application, programs are listed as up-to-date even though they are not installed", which included "removing all installed Adobe Creative software. Once all Adobe Creative software has been removed, use the CS Cleaner Tool to ensure a complete removal".  Still the Creative Cloud desktop application listed Lightroom 5 as up-to-date.
The it occurred to me that I have an external hard drive that I use to keep a backup of my primary drive that is on at all times.  I ejected the external drive, signed out and back into Creative Cloud and bingo! the Creative Cloud desktop application allowed me to reinstall Lightroom 5.  I did have to keep the external hard drive disconnected through the entire reinstall process, because when I reconnected it during the download of Lightroom 5 it again installed on my external hard drive.  So I had to disconnect again, sign out and back into CC and reinstall before connecting my external hard drive again.
My problems began when I upgraded Lightroom 5 to v5.5.  It seems as thought v5.5 was installed on my external hard drive, even though v5 was clearly on my primary drive (I know, because I saw the app there).
So I offer this as a possible solution to anyone still having this problem.
In my case I have a Mac running Version 10.9: "Mavericks".  The backup program I use, ChronoSync, is configured to maintain an identical image that I can actually boot from in case of a primary hard drive failure.
Question:  Is there a way to direct CC to install LR 5 and all other products on my primary hard drive?  I see this in the forum which implies I can't.  Of course in my case it is apparently confused over what my local drive is, so disregarding my preference is not working.
Why can't I install Lightroom to a custom location through the Creative Cloud?
Lightroom must be installed to your local drive and can't be installed to custom location like other Creative Cloud apps. Lightroom always installs to the default location and disregards any preference you select for a custom location. This behavior is as designed.

  • What is the current Lightroom product on the Creative Cloud?

My Creative Cloud lists Lightroom 5.  I was asked to download and update to Lightroom CC 2015.  Something happened during the update process and a number of errors appeared.  Since I've not been able to fix the problem or download this version of Lightroom.

Lightroom CC 2015 is the latest version.
First, I'd try to Sign off and back in: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/sign-in-out-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html
    See if that helps.

  • How do I launch Lightroom 5.3 from Creative Cloud?

I downloaded and installed Lightroom 5.3 from Creative Cloud.  I have been trying for 4 days to launch Lightroom.  Each time I try,Adobe asks for a serial number or wants to know if I want to try Lightroom 5.3 for 30 days.  I use an iMac 10.9.1.file:///Users/cawhet1/Desktop/Screen%20Shot%202014-02-18%20at%207.55.37%20PM.png.

    Hi Crystal
I believe there have been a good number of similar instances affecting CC users. It’s worth checking your purchase history to ensure you are properly subscribed. Go to Adobe.com and near the top right of the page log-in to My Adobe, unless you are already logged-in; in which case it will say welcome next to your name.
Click on My Orders and this should show your latest invoicing. You can expand each section by clicking the small disclosure triangle icon to the left of each date.
Then click on My Products and Services. Under the products section, which sometimes takes a few seconds to refresh, you should find Lightroom and if you expand the details it should contain an automatically generated serial number.
The only suggestion I have is to Launch Lightroom again and if you see the trial screen click on licence this product and enter the serial number.
It should not really be necessary with a CC app but let us know if that works.

  • Receive error 21 when trying to install lightroom cc 2015 using creative cloud

On trying to install Lightroom CC 2015 using Creative Cloud I receive error 21.  Any ideas what to do??

I have the exact same issue. I had a trial of Lightroom 5 installed, and whenever I then tried to install Lightroom CC (2015) it would fail at 42% with an error 21. Logging out and back in of CC desktop got it to install successfully and then Lightroom 5 was marked as "Start Trail" again.
Now though, whenever I try to start Lightroom CC (2015) it shows the start splash screen and then closes straight away and doesn't start. The "Continue Trial/Purchase License" screen then appears, and closing that out does nothing.
I've tried logging out and back in to CC desktop, and restarting, but neither option fixes the issue. I even tried logging out, restarting then logging back in again. Still no joy.
As a side note: Lightroom 5 in CC desktop doesn't show an uninstall option - it says "Uninstall Unavailable". Both Photoshop CC and Lightroom CC do allow for an uninstall option though.
    I'm on Mac OSX 10.10.3

Although Lightroom is included as part of Creative Cloud, images in your catalog still need to be stored locally on the computers hard drive and not online.
