Lightroom, OS Mountain Lion and Epson 7880 large print problems

I have used Lightroom to beautifully print many 20x16, 24x20 and 24x36 prints on my Epson 7880.
I have been trying unsucessfully to print a 24x74 panoramic print.
What happens is I geet a 24 x 20 inch blank piece of paper come out of the printer, a huge waste of expensive paper!!
I have set yp a custom paper size and the image looks like it fits the dimensions perfectly from the LR print module. All looks perfect.
I am using OS Mountain Lion and LR4. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Problems printing with Mountain Lion and Epson WorkForce 645.

Ever since I installed Mountain Lion I've been having problems printing on my Epson WorkForce 645. My initial problems started while trying to print from Google Chrome. The printer would always jam once I tried to print from the browser. I would have to open another browser (like Safari) and print from there. After driver updates from Apple, my printing problems got worse. I'm now not able to print from Microsoft Excel or QuickBooks anymore.

Imac Mountain lion and Epson WP 4530 no utilities in download

I have just purchased the Epson WP 4530 multifunction printer.
I put in the disk but Apple warned not to run the disk if unsure of the version on the disk.
It then automatically took me to downloads at the Epson site and had detected Mountain Lion.
I downloaded the Drivers and Utilities Combo Pack 90.7MB Epson 14363.dmg
The utilities did not set up on my Imac
Under System Preferences the Printer Icon says Print & Scan
When I click onto it, there are only two tabs- Print and Scan- no Utilities, general or drivers
When I look at applications there is an Epson Software application and when I hover the mouse over it Download Navigator App and Epson Low Ink Reminder App comes up only.
I did the update from the Imac Software update for the printer and installed that but that did not change anything.
The scanner does not work wirelessly direct unless I use Image Capture, then it works
The printer works but i have to change the setting on the product printer to 6x4 rear tray if I want to print a photo.
I do not have any controls on the computer to do this.
The fax works from the printer
Should I insert the Epson Setup disk and run the chance of an older version to obtain utilities or should i reinstall the Epson 14363.dmg again ( I have it saved in my downloads) or should I download it again and reinstall??
I feel that the utilities should give me more options on being able to control the printer from my Imac

Since I loaded mountain lion my screen names have gone and I cant get my emails via my normal aol site. Any magic solutions?!!

The iMessages application in Mountain Lion supports adding AIM accounts from preferences > Accounts.

OS Lion and Samsung ML-1660 printer problem

Since downloading OS Lion my ML-1660 laser printer won't print unless I switch it off then switch it back on. It then prints OK. If I want to print another document I have to sw. off and on again. This problem doesn't happen on my Epson RX520 3 in 1 printer.
I've downloaded the latest Samsung driver software but this makes no difference. Can anyone advise how I can rectify this, please?

Illustrator cs4 and Epson Stylus R2880 printing problems

I am having printing problems. I am trying to print from my cs4 to my epson stylus photo printer r2880 and am having problem with my picture getting cut off on the left side when I print. The print screen looks perfect but when I go to print, it always cuts off the left edge and the bottom. I tried playing with the x and y's but have no idea what I am doing. Does anyone have this combination of cs4 with the R2880 printer and can help me solve my problem?

I have tried playing around with that but I am not sure what I am doing. Here's what it is set at.
On my drop down print screen, i have the size set as US Letter (Sheet Feeder Borderless (retain size).
When I check the 'fit to page' button it actually puts a bigger white boarder around it. The fit to page number says (96.4706%). Shouldn't it say 100%? If I leave it as do not scale I still have a small border around it.
I am not sure about the xy settings. When I have it to 'fit to page' it is:
Top left corner (0,0) Top right corner (0,0)
Bottom left corner (0, .1632) Bottom right corner (0, .1632)
If I have do not scale button clicked:
Top left corner (0,0) Top right corner (0,0)
Bottom left corner (0, -.225) Bottom right corner is (-.3, -.225)
Do these settings look correct? If not, what should my setting say and how can I set it without the setting changing back everytime I open this window.

Updated to mountain lion and lost printer drivers

I updated my iMac software to Mountain Lion and lost all my printer drivers. I thought that it was going to update those also.

"Printer drivers" implies more than one? Which ones?
ML has built in support for many printers. If yours are (is) on the list, you merely have to reinstall the printer. Go to Apple Menu / System Preferences / Print & Scan - then click on the + sign to add a printer.

If your printers are not on the list, the drivers will have to be found on the manufacturers' web sites.

Upgraded to Mountain Lion and CS3, I am no longer able to access the correct dialog box for fine printing with Epson Stylus Photo 1400.

I have recently upgraded my Mac OS to Mountain Lion, and am using Photoshop CS3 together with Lightroom 5. To my absolute horror, in either Adobe program I am no longer able to access the dialog box which allows me to choose paper type, size, and print quality when attempting to print on my Epson Stylus Photo 1400. An excruciating hour on the phone with largely unintelligible folks at Epson seemed to prove the problem lies with Adobe instead of Epson. I'd greatly appreciate whatever advice might be forthcoming from the Community.

"I found a way around this problem. GO to HD/Library/Printers/Epson/InkjetPrinter/ICCProfiles and you will find a file labeled Pro38.profiles. This is a package file. Control click on it and reveal contents. Then you can copy all the profiles and paste them into your Colorsync folder either in the HD/Library folder or your own Home folder/Library. Then the profiles will show up in Photoshop and Lightroom."
Key, is to Control click on the printer to "Open contents". Then open Resource folder. Copy everything in it and then paste it into the "Colorsync" folder in your Library. (Remember, to get to Library you have to hold the command key down for it to appear in "Go" Menu for Finder.
Then I reinstalled printer driver from Apple, then rebooted computer, then plugged in printer. And VOILA-- I can now select Epson Premium Photo Paper Luster!

Apple discontinued support for PowerPC apps with Lion, I think, so you're out of luck there. No patch coming, unfortunately. Best to upgrade whatever old applications you have or, since it seems like you're using some relatively old software, scout around for replacements that give you the functionality you need.
Go to Apple menu > System Preferences > Print & Scan and select your scanner from the list--if it's not there you'll need to add it (start with the little plus icon). Once you have it in the list you can click on the Open Scanner button and a pretty barebones scanner driver will load for you. But Image Capture (as mentioned previously), found in your Applications folder, will probably do the job as adequately, or better, than your old scanner software.

Mail app and Snow Leopard, Mountain Lion and Mavericks

I have, and use, 3 different Macs, an older MacMini running Snow Leopard, an older MacBook Pro running Mountain Lion and a new MacBook Pro running Mavericks. My personal email account, setup using the Mail.app, works fine on Snow Leopard and Mountain Lion. On the MBP running Mavericks, I setup the Mail.app using the same settings as on Snow Leopard and Mountain Lion. It doesn't work. Nothing but timeouts.
I've read a lot about the problems with Mavericks and IMAP and updated Mavericks apps, including Mail. Still no go. I'm not so much asking for help as registering that the IMAP problems aren't fixed.
But if anyone has some ideas, I'm listening.

I'd check to see if the latest version of the plug-ins are Snow Leopard compatible or not, unless you have a really large number of plug-ins to deal with, where you could just see what's broke and what's not, post upgrade. But beware of retaining the old ones. For example, 10.6 Mail broke the GPG-Mail plug-in that works under 10.5.x. Search the Snow Leopard Mail forum using the search phrase "GPG Mail" OR GPGMail OR "GPG-Mail" or other mail plug-in names of interest to you.

Dual boot drive - Mountain Lion and Snow Leopard - Correct order to load software /apps?

I want to create a dual boot drive for Mountain Lion and Snow Leopard as some of my hardware (is not supported in Mountain Lion).
I am happy how to do this, I just want to know if there is a correct way to install software and apps.
My plan was to do a clean install of both using two partitions, the larger going to ML and smaller one for SL. I was going to install SL from the DVD and then after updating from 10.6. to 10.6.8 and download ML from the app store and install on the larger partition.
Do I install all the software I use like Final Cut, Aperture, iLife (for Garageband) etc on the ML or SL partition or on both. Also, is there a better way / practise of the order software updates / apps and boxed software should be installed when doing a clean machine install.

So, if I have software I need to use on both ML and SL - for example Final Cut as I have a Canopus AVDC box which is not supported in ML but only SL, do I need to install the same software in both OS?
I usually open apps using spotlight and didn't know if it would software / apps would open if already installed on the other partition?
