Lightroom shutting down when I try to import.

When I open lightroom it loads just fine and I can edit pictures ect.. But when I try to import my photos it won't import them. It just stops working and I get the error message that says "this program is not responding" I have tried importing my photos a couple different ways, with no luck so far.
I am using windows xp.
Can anyone help me please???

Thankyou, I actually ended up getting it fixed last night. After a massive search I thought that maybe my user Account on my computer was the problem. I opened a new user account and everything started to work fine. Thanks!

- Did it ever work properly?

IMovie09 Shuts Down When I Try to Import

I've been trying to upload some videos from my Canon FS100 camcorder using iMovie09 but every time I click "Import" and select this camcorder, it completely shuts down and I get an error saying that iMovie shut down unexpectedly.
This hasn't happened before and I've had the camcorder for a year (and my Mac for a year and a half).
What could be the problem?

I have a Canon HF 20 records to flash memory. I cannot import a clip more than about 3.5 minutes. To get a clip that size in usually takes 3-4 tries with iMovie 09 locking up and I must Force Quit it. Eventually a clip this size will import. Under 2 minutes usually goes the first try and over 3.5 minutes I have yet to be successful. Very disappointing because Apple claims iMovie 09 is compatible. I was having the same problem with my old OS and iMovie 08. Apple recommended upgrading so $169 later I have Snow Leopard and iMovie 09 and the same problem. I have sent a note to Apple and wish this would be fixed ASAP. As a side note, my son can download video from my camera to his Toshiba laptop running Vista with no problems. The only reason I have my Mac is for video. Makes you wonder doesn't it.

Lightroom shuts down when I try to change media type

LR 4.3, OS 10 Lion, Epson R3000. I go into print settings to set the media type and other settings and I can't make any changes. The attached screenshot shows what I see, which is not the same as usual for this dialogue box. A few times I clicked on the media type and LR shut down. I haven't had this problem before.

from what I read on the discussion boards there seems to be little or nothing to do that may not mess up the computer (Like jerky videos if Quicktime fix is tried) except wait for Apple to do a proper fix with updates at this point. I am not willing to try the fixes explained so far. The reviews of them are spotty on them working if at all. My I Tunes works on everything but the videos and that is better than nothing which did happen at first. So I will keep watching for any other fixes that might be promising or an Apple Update.

You need to adjust your security stuff/ permissions and possibly use compatibility modes. It means that your licensing service is being blocked/ shut down.

That is very interesting in that my iPhone was exhibiting similar behavior with the "blue screen of death" with Pages a few months ago. An update for Pages came out and when I installed the update, the problem disappeared.
Is Pages completely updated on your iPad? Do you use iCloud with Pages? If you use iCloud, try turning it off. settings>Pages>Use iCloud>Off. You will not lose your documents since they will still be in iCloud even if you turn that off on your iPad.

How can I stop my CS4 from shutting down when I try to save or even open a file in it?
I have tried resetting the preferences file. This worked once but so far has not worked again(I found this solution just by googling). It is obviously a common problems but I cannot find a solution that works or an explanation as to why it happens.
Please could someone at least explain what causes it? And preferably how to fix it?
It cost a lot of money and I don' yet understand why I should lose the right to have a functional programme. I'm not interested in having any new features etc. It takes me ages to work out how to do easy thing each time a new programme comes out!

Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps.

Basics for problems syncing:
-restart computer
-make sure device is not out if power
-try a different usb port...BTW....I contaminated a usb port by someone spilling drink on the usb port end of my ipod cord...bad...
-run apple's web-based device assistant

ITunes shuts down when I try to purchase songs

When I click "buy album" it connects to the store, and then iTunes shuts down. It also shuts down when I try to "check for purchases." I am running the newest version of iTunes. It also did this with my previous version.
Real Player also shuts down, when I download videos.
I have re-installed both iTunes and real player around 5 times. So that will not help.
