why doesn't my macbook support ny camera Sony DSC-WX300 as it used to? I can't download any of my pictures or videos

Were you importing them into Aperture or IPHOTO - or were you using Sony Software?
I have A Kodak Easy Share - when I purchased a new mac - did not install the Kodak software - just switched to using IPHOTO to do the import.
-- Reason I stopped using the software - it was easier to export all of the photos I chose to keep out of Iphoto onto desktop for Photoshop editing and filing.

  • Why doesn't my version of Photoshop or Lightroom support my camera?

For a complete overview on camera support in Photoshop and Lightroom, read Jeff Tranberry's article Why doesn't my version of Photoshop or Lightroom support my camera?

Hmph... It does not work for me, when I click Update in CS6, it says all applications are up to date! That then shows Camera Raw being 7.3...
I then launched LR 4.3 and was greeted with the update to 4.4, which worked perfectly fine.
I returned to CS6 and checked again, to no avail...
So my LR is now stating 4.4 and Camera Raw 7.4, however CS6 is still showing Camera Raw 7.3!
    Any ideas, or help?
I own perpetual license and am working on OSX 10.8.3, for all it matter.

You have to remove all cables before connecting to your computer with micro usb. Power is only connected when using a 3rd gen device and done after the initial connection.

  • When will Lightroom support my camera - Fujifilm X100T?

I recently purchased a Fujifilm advanced compact X100T.  That camera was offered starting in November 2014, but is not currently recognized when I teach it to my MacBook Pro (using OS-X Yosemite v10.10.2) and launch Lightroom (Version 5.7).  Can you tell me when the X100T is likely to be supported?

It isn't answered though. You're using a version of Lr that should support the camera, but - you say - doesn't.
So can you use it with Lr 5.7 or not? Other people using the forum might benefit from this thread too, remember.
Or when you wrote "teach" did you mean "tether"? Because Lr doesn't tether to Fuji cameras.

Hi makhan10, Perhaps something is blocking the download from finishing, such as an Antivirus, or Firewall program. Let's try the following steps in this order:  Uninstall the software. Uninstalling the Printer Software. (Only if the software was partially installed, or installed previously, otherwise, carry on with the rest of these steps.)Clean boot the computer. How to perform a clean boot in Windows.Disable any Antivirus programs. Disable Antivirus software.Disable any firewall programs. Windows Firewall from start to finish.Create a new user account. Managing User Accounts and Logins (Windows 8).Reinstall using the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows. Hope this helps!  “Please click the Thumbs up icon below to thank me for responding.”

  • Camera wizard does not recognise any devices with a camera attached when trying to transfer photos from iPhone 5s.

iTunes recognises my iPhone 5s attached, but does not come up with the scanner/camera wizard giving me the option to upload pictures. I've tried going to control panel on the computer to try and open it that way, but it does not acknowledge that any devices with a camera are attached. It gives me the option to manually add one, but then it gets too technical for me. Anyone any ideas? Help will be greatly appreciated. - Thanks
(P.S. - I'm using Windows XP if that makes a difference).

On the front of this laptop is a switch for wireless - this switch is set to On, Windows XP Pro cannot find any wireless device - Windows Device Manager does not show any wireless adater. Can you advice please - do I need to install Driver - Does this laptop support a wireless conection?
    Many Thanks

    Hi
Usually if you have a wireless switch your notebook should have a wireless LAN card too. In your case I would try installing the driver. Then the WLAn card should be displayed in device manager properly:
    http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads > Download Drivers
If this doesnt work you can try a BIOS update.
Are you running factory settings or have you installed your own Windows version?

  • IPAD/mini Ipad needs iTunes version 10.7 or later.  Ipads are not shown under devices in iTunes.

I recently purchased two mini IPADs.  When I connect either of them to my Mac, the first message displays says "no camera was found", then I receive a message stating "The Ipad cannot be used because it requires an iTunes version 10.7 or later"  Neither device is recognize or found in iTunes under devices when connecting to my MacBook.  Both Ipads have latest IOS 6.  According to "software update" on my Macbook, all Macbook software is up to date too.
When I first purchased both Ipads, I was able to connect them to my macbook and both the mini ipad's were found under devices within iTunes.  Not sure what changed.
Does anyone know how to update the mini ipad's iTunes software without connecting it to your computer?
Within the mini ipad, I went to the "general" table, "software update" and it says "your software is up to date".  Would IOS 6.0.1 include itunes 10.7?
    Thank you.

I appreciate your answer and your willingness to help me.  My MacBook OS X Verson 10.5.8.  iTunes is Version 10.0.  I tried downloading the new Itunes software, but it says iTunes software needs Mac OS 10.6.8.
I tried downloading OS software 10.6.8, but it says I need to download 10.6 first.
I assume I need to purchase this software (no more free updates?) in order to connect my mini ipad to my MacBook?  Do you think this could resolve my issue?  I believe my MacBook was purchased in Jan 2009.
Again, it's weird b/c just two weeks ago, I was able to connect both mini Ipads to my Mac.  I assume an automatic software update occurred somewhere.
    TY!

  • CD/DVD Drive Not shown in Device Manager or Bios

I have a Satellite A215 series laptop and have found that my CD/DVD drive is missing from my computer and device manager.  It will not read discs, but powers up, seems to run, tray opens/closes, amber light flashes, etc.  It also powers up and spins during boot, but will not read the recovery disc.  It appears to also be missing in the Bios.  I have replaced the drive with another and have the same problem.  I have also tested my original drive in another laptop and it works.  I have tried removing upper and lower filters in the registry with no success.  Restore also did nothing.  I found this problem after recently adding a new Canon printer and software.  The drive worked flawlessly at that time.  Can anyone please shed light on this problem?  Any help is greatly appreciated!

please provide your full model number.  it is printed on the bottom of computer.
you should restore to out-of-box state.  you can order the disks from toshiba if you did not create them when your computer was working.  This installs the OS as well as the necessary toshiba drivers.

  • Smartphone not shown under devices

I'm trying to hook up my Samsung Galaxy SIII with my Mac.  When I do that nothing shows up under devices.  And the Samsung says nothing about storage or being connected in any way to the Mac.  Do I need a driver or somthing to make this work?   Thanks

I found something similar which I have pasted below.  I followed the instructions and when I clicked on the "USB" section in the Hardware column located on the left side of the window I was able to see an entry for my Samsung smartphone.  I've tried a number of USB ports all with the same result of not being able to see the smartphone under devices.  I pressed the command-R key to refresh the USB device tree and nothing happened.  I have tested the adapter on a Windows 7 PC and it is working properly.
In order to find out whether your iMac sees the Sandisk device, pull down the Apple menu and select 'About this Mac...' When the new window opens click on the 'More Info...' button, then click on the 'System Report...' button. A new window will open listing all of the attributes for your system. Click on the 'USB' section in the Hardware column located on the left side of the window. This will display the USB device tree which includes all of the USB devices connected internally and externally to your iMac. Do you see an entry for your Sandisk device? You can click on each device to obtain more detailed information if you aren't sure which device is which. If the Sandisk device isn't visible then try disconnecting and reconnecting the adapter to a different USB port, then press the command-R keys to refresh the USB device tree. If the device appears then you may have had a bad connection or a problem with the port. If it still doesn't appear then test the adapter on another computer to verify that it is working properly.
