• Upgrading to Cloud in order to use Lightroom on my iPad????

I'm a Lightroom 5 user, the non-Cloud version.  I'm interested in using Lightroom Mobile on my iPad.  Do I have to use the Cloud subscription version of Lightroom on my Mac in order to use Lightroom on my iPad or can I stick to my old (non-Cloud version) of Lightroom 5?  If yes, are there any advantages of using the Cloud version of Lightroom on my Mac instead of the standalone (non-subscription) version I already have?

• Lightroom on the iPad

Is there any way to get Lightroom on thhe iPad witohut having to sign up for it via Creative Cloud?
I do not need, or use Photoshop (I sold my copy after realising it had not been used in almost a year!), and I do not need to pay for storage for synchronising files as I have 14gb available for free via Dropbox.
I literally only use Lightroom to process my pics, and having it on the iPad would have been handy when away from home for more than a day or two.
I had not expected to get the app for the usual 0.69p or even £4.99 - but a monlthy subscription just totally undoes any chance of getting this app for my iPad.
Amazing that I can buy Lightroom for the Desktop as a standalone product - but not for the iPad.

so what you are saying it has been designed to leverage additonal income (to use the American phrase) from the outset.
CC is not the only cloud option out there - and to design to only work with Adobe Creative Cloud coould even be considered a breach of EU competition rules!
But thank you for explaining it to me.

• What happens to Raw files when importing Raw+JPG from camera to Lightroom Mobile on iPad? Only JPGs are showing up.

Hey I am Brian, and I was wondering how Lightroom mobile works again as in when importing photos directly into iPad using the camera connection kit.? This is for IPad 2.  I . Like when importing raw files. now I just did a photo shoot. and I just uploaded them into lightroom 5 on desktop. the raw files are being pushed as smart priviews acroos ipad and iphone. its kinda cool seeing cr2 file showing up on lightroom mobile. when its coming from lightroom 5. but what about coming from camera to ipad.?
I thought you can import a Raw plus jpeg into ipad and it shows up as a jpeg plus raw file. well its not doing that. shows up as just jpeg.
cant wait for next update  of lighroom mobile.

With this version of LR Mobile we not support the direct RAW import.

• Am I able to put programs like Adobe Photoshop Lightroom onto an iPad?

I am looking to upgrade my computer to an iPad and I want it to have Adobe Lightroom 4 on it. I would also like to put other things like Diablo on it. Is that a possibility?

Windows and Mac OS X programs cannot run on iOS (ipad). Many applications have corresponding apps in the spp store, but not all, and some have more limited functionality.iOS apps do tend to be less expensive than their Windows/OS X counterparts.
If you work extensively with Lightroom, you may not be satified with an iPad, but for the sake of research, look into iPhoto, Adobe Photoshop Touch, as well as the plethera of image and photo mangement/manipulation tools available (there are dozens).

• Can I use Lightroom on my iPad in creative cloud?

I am new to this so I hope I'm not asking a dumb question...if I get cc with Lightroom can I
Edit photos on my iPad or only on my PC or laptop?

Only on your PC or laptop.
Lightroom is still a desktop application which requires either Mac OS X or Windows operating systems.

Lightroom Mobile is under development by Adobe but little of that has been revealed since a sneak peek last year

• Import Imovie trailer from ipad mini to Imovie 11 mac

Hello, I have an ipad mini that I created a trailer with the iMovie app.
Now I should import it on my Imac to reopen it with iMovie 11 and export it in quick time. the problem is that the trailer created with ipad not make me open with imovie 11 on mac, instead of a new project created from scratch I can open it and allow me to edit it.
There is a solution for the trailer?
thanks

There doesn't appear to be a way to export an iMovie trailer from my iPad to my iMac. All of my software is up to date. Is there a way or if not why not? Tom

Hi there Tomers75,
You may find the information about sharing to other devices in the User Guid below helpful.

• How to use Lightroom Mobile on iPad

Tried everything. Tried to find Adobe Lightroom Mobile app in the Apple store. Couldn't find it. So downloaded to PC. Obviously, that doesn't help with the iPad. I have Creative Cloud membership. I just want to be able to view the slideshow that I made on my PC in LR on my iPad.  It should not be so difficult!
I can't even find a "community" to enter this question in! Oh this sucks. Why is it so damned difficult? Am I that DUMB?

LR Mobile is an adjunct to LR Desktop, not a standalone product, and does not have the power or storage to handle raw files.  LR Mobile synchronizes things from and to the Desktop version of LR through the Adobe cloud and the Desktop version is where the master catalog and original images reside.

• Lightroom and an iPad viewer app

Hello,
I was looking at the iPad as a photography aid tool, for tethered shooting. Basically, I usually shoot tethered with a notebook. But there are situations, where it's just not doable to have the clients at the notebook. I'd rather use a WiFi Tether on my Canon camera ( wireless transmitter ) to the notebook... and use the notebook as a server for image viewing and rating by clients, who could be sitting further away from shooting location. Or, as it sometimes happens in interior design shoots, leave the notebook sitting in a room, while moving around with the camera. And the iPad would come with me, much easier and simpler to carry around than even a light notebook.
Or even capable of solo tethering via WiFi a camera in JPEG+RAW mode ( I'm pretty sure viewing RAW files on the iPad would be asking for a bit too much ) for viewing, rating, and reviewing at 100% for focus, lighting and so on. Again, much more portable for location work than any notebook I can think of.
I noticed Phase One released such an App, Capture Pilot, to be used alongside Capture One.
Is there word of any such app by Adobe to be used teamed up with Lightroom or solo ? :|

Okay then, I was mistaken. I thought you asked the users in this user forum for a solution to a problem. But you wanted to talk directly with Adobe about a request that you have. I did not mean to bother you, I apologize. Maybe there's a forum for requests...

• Using lightroom mobile for ipad

My subsctiption ends in five days. I would like to export these finished pictures into my ipad so it does not stay with lightroom. However I do not see an option to save these pictures in "camera roll" or anywhere external from the program itself. Does anybody have an idea how to export these images?
