Lightroom Web Page Password

Is there a way to make it so you have to enter a password to enter a slideshow(web page or flash page) that you make with lightroom?

Not with any of the Web Galleries supplied with Lightroom, which are quite basic. However, it might be something supported by the more advanced third party galleries. For example, http://www.lightroomgalleries.com/index.php or http://lightroom-blog.com/2008/05/gallery-resources.html

I've thousands of photos all in seperate windows folders under a directory Pictures.
These photos are all loaded into lightroom and catalogued with keywords.
Question:
Does anyone know of a way to batch build the lightroom web pages, one page for each set of photos under a keyword (or at the least directory).

they do change, i just dont know how to do it, it seems to be random when it happens, i have tried closing down safari in different ways and tapping differnt parts of the web page, but i cant seem to get them to change every time.

HELP: SimplePass that apart from open web pages, can also run applications

Good, to buy my laptop HP Pavilion m6, I came a version of SimplePass in which could add web pages, passwords and also run applications (such as games), but then I gave for updates thinking that a next version would contain improvements; but the version that was installed no longer gave the option of running applications.
Since then and I tried to find the version I had in the beginning, but without results.
If you know SimplePass versions running programs, or if you know a better version leave the download links, please put them in the answers.

Embeding lightroom web site into dreamweaver?

I've created a website in dreamweaver and currently have links to different lightroom web pages. www.owendawsonphotography.com. An annoying problem with this method is having to back click through lighroom to get to your home page. Being new to the web design program is there a way to embed the sites into dreamweaver so that you have the ability to set up a home button on each of the LR sites? I'm guessing not, but just thought I'd ask. Thanks, Owen

You could use the Contact field to point back to your home page, and have a contact point there rather than all over the LR galleries. Also, if you use the Identity plate I believe you could put in a link to your home page. There's also LR galleries at http://theturninggate.net and other sites, and likely other solutions that hopefully others will offer.

If you don't mind using a library, then download and use the Apache HttpClient library. It takes care of all these details for you.

Embed Lightroom gallery in web page

Hello all,
Here for help with embedding a Lightroom created gallery into
a web page in Dreamweaver. My test page is at
http://www.grayareaphotography.com/Copy%20of%20Home%20Page.htm
(dont mind the mess this is just a testing page) scroll to the
bottom and you'll see the LR gallery embedded. At the top are links
to all my other LR galleries, they open in separate pages (perhaps
the way LR would perfer it to be done).
On to the question. I found discussion on how to do this at
http://www.bluefire.tv/blog/flashgalleries/using_flashvars.html
using flashvars, and I have been able to get the shell of the LR
gallery to load, but I can find the code, or mistake or oversight,
that will load the actual pictures. I've emailed BlueFire, no reply
yet. So thought I would ask here too.
All my LR galleries, their folders and files reside under my
root, grayareaphotography/galleryName.xxx.
Here is my code for embedding LR galleries thus far. Anyone
done this? anyone know or see something I am missing?

Multiple web pages in Lightroom 3

Basically am i missing something really obvious here?
I want to put togeather using the Lightroom web facility a small image based website with the maximum of five pages - is this possible? I see that it's easy enough with two (one page of the image slideshow and one page of the "about these photos") but as to adding more pages and then editing them? I want to preferably sub divide the images into groups og about 6 -10 images per page and maybe add a bit of text but this aspect isn't important. Any help would be greatly appreciated if only to put me out of my misery?

Try emptying the cache...
From your Safari menu bar top of your screen click Safari > Empty Cache
If that doesn't help, open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar top of your screen click Go > Go to Folder
Type this exactly as you see it here:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go
Move the Cache.db file to the trash.
Quit then relaunch Safari to test.

Passing username and password to Forms Application from a web page

Hi,
I have a web application where the user needs to login and browse some web pages.One of the links on this page
calls a forms application. How do I pass the userid and password from the web application to the forms application
so that the user doesnot need to login once again.

I have one problem with that. The password of the user
should not show up in the URL or the user should not be
allowed to view the password by clicking on
"View Source" on the browser.
How can I call the forms application in such a way so that the user password doesnot show up?

I want firefox to remember my ID and password on certain web pages. There is no "Option" tab in the Help section (like on my PC) where I could go to Security and checkmark the Remember Password box.

I would like a window to appear when I log in on a web page to ask me if I want to save my password.
Also, why is there no "Option" tab on the Help menu in the Mac like it is on my PC?

After first closing the site's browser window, I cleared the cookies with no problem.
Next, I opened up the page that is causing my problem. The Microsoft Security window opened up as it should and it was blank.
The option of whether I was using a public or a private
computer was blinking on 'public' as it should and I changed that to 'private'.
The lines for 'Domain/Username' and 'Password" were blank, as they should be at this time.
I entered whatever I had to on these two lines, then clicked on "log In". At no time, however, did the Firefox toolbar at top of screen (picture file attached) appear and ask whether to remember that password. Yes, the page now opened - and we are back to Square One.
I am aware that when entering the URL in the address box, a dropdown box opens and contains quite a few URLs identical to the one I am entering just now, or at least connected to pages of the same site.
I am wondering whether that is what's messing me up? But how can I clear these entries of "websites visited in the past from Firefox's memory?

Problems in Front Page with Lightroom web export

I have no problem exporting my Lightroom web gallery into Front Page.
However, once in Front Page there is still some manipulating that needs to be done to get the gallery functional. Could you please help? If you have step by step instructions on what to do in Front Page with the files that are created by Lightroom it would be appreciated. I think it has something to do with indexing but I can't figure it out. AHHH. Thanks.

You can use Export to, say a JPEG file, and both copies will be produced, then proceed from there. sorta a workaround.

Best way is to upload your WebGallery into a subfolder of your web space and put a link to the index.html file onto your main page.

First thing to do is to ensure that mod_plsql works and can run your stored procs. Edit the dads.conf file (use dads.readme for instructions) and configure a DaD (Database access Descriptor) for you database.
Restart Apache to effect the config change. I simply (and incorrectly) use $ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/bin/apachectl - and it will tell you why it is not recommended and the correct command to run.

The stuff in square brackets are optional.
Create the following sample PL/SQL proc to call from the web browser:

As for the rest - you likely will need to use cookie authentication to "login" from a web page. Then you also need to determine just how you are going to use these session cookies on the database server side for security. How you're going to manage these cookies. Persist them in the database. Which also means managing session states for stateless clients via such a session cookie. Etc.
This is not trivial to design, code and implement.
Why not use Oracle Application Express instead?

Linking Lightroom Web Galaries to a Home Page

I'll try this message here and on the Dreamweaver forum. I am new to Dreamweaver and am a novice website builder, using the graphical interface. I would like to link a HomePage to several Lightroom Web Galleries. I have no problem linking from the HomePage to the Web Galleries, but have trouble getting from the Web Galleries back to the Home Page. I'm opening the Web Galleries in Dreamweaver, inserting a single cell table with a <td> tag, and linking text in the table back to the Website HomePage. When I first go to the Web Gallery, the linking text is visible and I can link back to the HomePage, but if I click to view one of the photos in the Web Gallery the linking text disappears. I can't find any other pages in the Lightroom Light Galleries so I'm assuming I need to add something to the link to keep it from being erased (disappearing). Thanks for any help.

There's a "Web or Mail Link" field where you can put something like ../ (which means "go up a directory". The Dreamweavers experts can give you a much better idea what to put in that field, I don't know if ../ if even correct. It might be ../../

Storing username and passwords in web pages on safari

Hi folks
I am using an iPad 1 and wish to change my previous decisions regarding saving usernames and passwords for web pages within the safari browser.
I guess I have hit the "do not save" or similar option at some stage and I now wish to recall the username and password in future.
Any help would be really appreciated

Make sure that Settings > Safari > AutoFill > Names And Passwords is set 'on'. To be able to store them for sites that you've previously said 'no' to you may also need to clear Safari's history and cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cache (and Clear History). And possibly clear cookies : Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies
