Lightroom x64 V2 & 3 fail to print in Windows 7 x64

In Lightroom x64 v2.7 on Windows 7 x64 when printing, Lightroom hangs and seems to loop forever. Sometimes locking up the system requiring a power off reset.
Lightroom 2.7 x86 on Windows x64 prints without a problem.
Lightroom 3 x64 (Trial mode) prints, but does not actually print the image. It does print the stroked border/background and identity plate, but no image. Just a very nice white page with the identity plate. The Beta version printed perfectly.
Is there a fix for Windows 7 x64 and Lightroom x64?
Or is the blank image printing a restriction in the trial copy?
Carl

It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes this article] for information about troubleshooting extensions and themes and [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+plugins this one] for plugins.
If you need support for one of your add-ons, you'll have to contact its author.
If the problem does not disappear when all add-ons are disabled, please tell me, so we can work from there. Please have no fear of following my instructions to the line, as all can be easily undone.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro failed to print pdf file

I downloaded adobe acrobat pro and started the 30 trial version just a few minutes ago.
I could open files through adobe acrobat and convert word files to pdf, but when i tried converting a publisher file it could not go through. An error popped up which read "Adobe PDF printer failed to print pdf file".
The publisher file I am hoping to convert to pdf is a 21 page panorama article. It contains lots of images and a variety of font types.
I do not know other alternatives for solving this issue.
Your help will be very much appreciated.
    Thank you!

It seems to be that Adobe Acrobat virtual printer is not properly installed on your PC or you are not selecting Adobe PDF printer to print PDF document. Checkout the below screen shot to see proper printer.
After trying this if you have same problem you may trt some other virtual printer that easily convert or print any file as PDF, you may checkout here.

  • The desktop on which I had Lightroom and PhotoshopCC installed failed and I no longer have access to it. How do I deactivate the software on those machines so that I can reinstall it on my new Mac?

Question: The desktop on which I had Lightroom and PhotoshopCC installed failed and I no longer have access to it. How do I deactivate the software on those machines so that I can reinstall it on my new Mac?

Absolutely - but I had no idea there were two versions. When I got my new laptop I just went to the Adobe site to download and install LR5. It never asked if I had a license; it just directed me to install CC to start a trial which I thought I could license after downloading. Several sessions and many hours of looking through the forums and Google for an answer I never ran across anything that made this distinction. I still haven't found a path from www.adobe.com that would get me to the standalone download page (it's probably there, wasn't obvious to me) and looking at the download page it doesn't make any CC/standalone distinction.
There are many places I could have gotten a hint - for instance the license could be tagged "stand alone edition", the CC-version could recognize the stand-alone key and either accept it or produce a more meaningful error message, or the download site or the CC app could ask if I had previously purchased a key, etc.
It was my error to assume this was a deactivation problem, but it looked the same as a previous deactivation problem with Photoshop.
In any event, thank you for your help.

  • Officejet 8620, fail to print, windows 8.1 (upgraded from windows 8)

I have spent many hours trying to resolve an issue on a Dell Vostro laptop, that was upgraded from Windows 8 pro to Windows 8.1 pro and has the latest updates installed. When printing, the print is delivered to the print spooler, it is there momentarily, then disappears. Nothing is delivered to the printer, and no activity is observed at all on the printer. This is on 2 different 8620 printers. I am able to install and print to a laserjet M1217mfp from the laptop with no problems. A different machine that was loaded directly with windows 8.1 prints perfectly to the 8620 printers.
I have tried the following  with no success:
    1) Install from original HP 8620 installation CD
    2) HP Print and scan doctor - remove the print driver and download latest software . ( 3 times)
    3) Manually deleting all printers, Stop spooler service, delete print driver from Print Server Properties, uninstall all HP software, reboot and install from latest print driver OJ8620-198 downloaded from this link: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL51217/bi-124140-4/OJ8620_198.exe
    4) Same procedure as step 3, including stop spooler, rename C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\x64\3 to C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\x64\3.old. Reboot and install from latest driver as above.
    5) Run level 4 on HP Officejet Software and Driver Removal Utility from the link below and reinstall : http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=za&lc=en&softwareitem=mp-110134-1
    6) Same procedure as step 4, as well as removing printer registry keys in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows x64\Print Processors except "winprint" key. Delete all HP folders in C:\Program Files\HP. Reboot and reinstall latest driver.
    7) Follow the manual procedure described in Microsoft KB2987964 "Cannot print by using a Hewlett Packard XPS-based print driver after you install KB2769165" http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2987964 Version of hpbxpsrender.dll is 0.3.7600.16385 consistently through all of the steps listed.
    9) Create a new local administrator account on the laptop. Follow the procedure in Step 6.
The issue seems to be that the spooler discards the print immediately and it also seems to be related to the upgrade from windows 8 to Windows 8.1 but only for Officejet Printers. The only option I have not tried yet is to format and reload the machine with Windows 8.1 Pro, but this is a drastic step to resolve a problem that should be resolved by HP based on the many reports posted on the Internet by users experiencing this issue on OfficeJet printers.
What can be done to resolve this?

    Hi @Electronza ,
Thank you for providing all the detailed steps you have already tried to resolve this issue. I would like to help you out today.
I have provided a document with some steps for the Print Jobs Disappear from the Print Queue and Do Not Print (Windows 8). Go to Step 4: Rename the HPBXPSRENDER.DLL file, since you have already tried the other steps.
Please take a look at this document from my co-worker, if the issue persists. The driver installed might be the Class Driver and not the HP Full Feature drivers. Missing or partial print issues on Windows 8 / 8.1.
Please provide in detail the results if you are still having issues.
    Have a great weekend!

  • HP Laserjet 6MP fails to print with parallel-to-USB converter cable

I have a LaserJet 6 MP parallel printer which I was using in 10.3.9 with a parallel-to-USB converter cable. The Printer Utility saw it natively as a USB device and it printed just fine most of the time, although it would occasionally fail to print, so I installed a different driver called usbtb 1.0.15, and after that it printed very reliably.
Now I've upgraded to 10.4.9, and the Printer Utility still detects the HP printer natively as a USB device, and I also installed the formerly-reliable usbtb driver again, but the printer now fails to print with either driver. It acts like it's going to, but then it quits.
When I choose Print, all the features of the printer are shown, and I can select which tray to take paper from etc., and the printer dialogue box says "Printing," the activity light on the printer flashes just as it always does when printing is in progress, but then, instead of printing, the activity light stops flashing and the print job disappears from the dialogue box.
Can anyone tell my why this printer is failing to print now, and how I might be able to get it working again?
    Thanks,
    Tom

Wait a minute! It's only certain Indesign documents that won't print.
    All TextEdit docs will print.
I created a few scribbles in Photoshop and they print.
But with InDesign, there is no predicting which documents will print or will not print. On some that will not print, if I remove all but one text box, then they will print. On other documents that do print, if I copy some text off of one that won't print and paste it in, then that one stops printing too.
On some that won't print, if I erase everything on the page and create a new text box and type a few words into it, the page will print. If I revert to the previously saved version, once again the page won't print.
What kind of craziness is this, anyway? It seems random. I can't figure it out.
Even on the documents that won't print, when I try to print them the printer's activity light blinks as though it is just about to print, but then the light goes out without printing.
Anybody got any ideas what this problem is and how to fix it?
All I know is that EVERYTHING printed before I upgraded from 10.3.9 to 10.4.9.

  • HP Color LaserJet 1515n fails to print

HP Color LaserJet 1515n fails to print
I had this printer just 13 months, and it has stopped working without giving any kind of error code.
I ran my black down to 1% using override - and then nothing. The printer accepts jobs and appears to do everything up to the point when it should start feeding paper through the printer transport.
I changed the black toner, but it made no difference.
To avoid complex print driver problems I have been using a simple txt file with 'hello world' for testing.
    Having reinstalled the drivers.
I have done a very extensive web search, I cannot find any appropriate help.
I took the side off the machine to reveal the electronics, and tested all the connections etc, but cannot find anything obviously wrong.
The transport mechanism seems ok, because the manual feed slot accepts paper and pulls it in, but then goes no further, ie to actually start printing.
The calibration process seems ok, and all the 4 color cartridges seem ok, and the spindles on them obviously turn having marked them to see if any were stuck.
As there is no error code in the log file, I cannot see what is wrong.
Does anybody have any idea what is wrong? Are there and tools that can be used to interrogate the printer further?

  • Why should Adobe Reader fail to print because of settings in the Edit/Preferences?

    AdobeReaderDocumentCouldNotPrint.txt
Glyn Price Tue 17 March 2015
Why should Adobe Reader fail to print because of settings
    in the Edit/Preference?
    Adobe Reader XI Version 11.0.10
    MS Window 7
    File > Print > Print
    I got the error message:
The document could not be printed
I googled this error message and used the following
solution that worked i.e. it then printed successfully.
    Edit >  Preferences
Category: Security(Enhancement)   'Enable Protected  Mode at Startup'
It was checked, changed it to unchecked.
Category: Documents    'View documents in PDF/Mode'
It was set to 'Only for PDF/A'
    Set it to 'Never'
Exited Adobe Reader and restart it. Then it printed.
I had a look on another computer system (Adobe Reader XI Version 11.0.10
and MS Window 7) and on this different computer I could print
without doing the above two changes.
I'm a bit puzzled. Why preferences on one system were not
    needed on a different system?

Here is an elaborate method of troubleshooting this problem. There may be a simpler method if anybody wants to suggest one.
There is a general technique that is helpful in this situation. I can't give you complete instructions here, and I haven't tested this with regard to bluetooth devices, but here's the gist of it.
Create a second log-on account for your music projects. Configure it so that when you log in to the new music account, the drivers needed for the Bluetooth devices don't load. You do this in System Preferences: Accounts.
When it's time to do music, log out of your usual account and onto the new one.
When you install drivers for any peripheral, you have the option of installing them "for all users" or only for the user account that is active during the installation.
This governs whether the drivers go in root/library or root/Users/your name/library.
If drivers are in root/library, they will load whenever the Mac is booted up and will run for all users.
But if drivers are loaded in root/Users/your name/library, they will only load if you log in as "your name". If you have a second account called root/Users/music account/, and you log in under that, the drivers in "your name" will not load. Get it?
To get this working right you need to be knowledgeable about moving or deleting files in the /library/ directory and subdirectories, and you need to be careful because you can unwittingly cause some damage if you are not careful.
There is also the root/System/library directory, and in general you should never mess around with anything in there or you might hose your system.
In summary, I would start by using the installer programs for your BlueTooth devices and DE-installing all drivers. Reboot. Log back in as your usual user account. Then RE-install each driver and see if the installer program gives you the OPTION to installl for all users or just for this user. Choose the latter. Then log on to your new Music account and see if the problems go away.

  • Some text in PDF fails to print -- document originally created with InDesign

Hello. Thanks in advance for your help.
I joined Creative Cloud a few days ago, and dowloaded several CS6 programs -- InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat XI Pro. My operating system is Windows 7.
I created a simple order form using InDesign, and it prints perfectly directly from the InDesign platform. After creating a PDF by selecting Adobe PDF as the printer, the resulting PDF looks perfect on screen when viewed in Acrobat XI Pro. However, when printing from Acrobat to a paper-and-ink printer, chunks of the text go missing. Two other people who were emailed the PDF of this document have experienced the same problem, with the same chunks of text failing to print.
Since it prints perfectly from InDesign, I am guessing the problem lies somewhere on the Acrobat side of the equation. Since the same problem has occured with several different printers, I am assuming it's not a problem with my particular printer.
I have already tried unchecking the "Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts" option in the Adobe PDF printing preferences, and that did not fix it. I didn't expect that was the problem, since the rest of the type prints perfectly.
I would like to attach two PDFs and/or the original InDesign document, but I cannot find an attachment option on the interface for this discussion page. I would be happy to email them to anyone who would like to take a look at them.
As usual, I am working on a deadline and would very much appreciate any help you can give me.
    Thank you!

    YES! A SOLUTION!
Thanks to an Adobe user who goes by "Test Screen Name" for this solution!
DO NOT print to PDF from InDesign to create a PDF. Instead, use the Export function.
I followed that advice, and it solved the problem. Hope this helps you, JuleeBruce!

My Acrobat 8 Pro is failing to print to a pdf from multiple software.  I get an error message that a repair fixes but only for a little while.  Pretty soon the trial version of 9 that I installed pops up telling me it has expired but it would take me to a way to buy a valid serial number and then 8 stops working again.  I’d be happy if the 8 I paid for worked right or I could get 9 for a small cost but I cannot afford $450 or $20/month.  I need a permanent solution that I should be already paid for with 8 pro.

After multiple repair procedures with reboot in AA8 I was eventually able to restore the printing to pdf function from various software.  However I have again lost my Acrobat tab in Outlook 2007.  I need that back, but today an even bigger problem arose.  AA8 has stopped printing to fax.  It faxes a blank page.  The only fax printing option is “Microsoft Shared Fax Driver”.  My fax software is “Windows Fax and Scan” and it was working fine just a couple weeks ago.  My OS is Windows 7 Professional.
I have tried doing the updates you referred to but I get error messages like these:
“No qualifying products found to apply this update, or update has been already applied”
    or
“The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing , or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program.  Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch.”

    Dear Adobe Support:
The current version of Adobe Reader 9.1 for Macintosh fails to print to our Sharp AR-BC320 but your previous version 9.0 printed without any problem. I'd appreciate knowing how I can download a copy of the older 9.0 version so that I can install it after removing the 9.1 version.
This is a problem that we've encounter since Adobe Reader 7.1. The only versions of Adobe Reader that have worked reliably with the Sharp AR-BC320 were versions 7.0 (and below) plus version 9.0.
We're running the current version of the driver for this Sharp printer so any help that you can offer to resolve this problem would be appreciated!

  • Font substitution failing when printing PDF to Non Postcript Printer

I have a problem with PDFs that do not have fonts properly embedded.
    For example:
    http://www.wlv.ac.uk/PDF/uow-direct-app-home.pdf
If I open the above file, it views on screen ok (using the substitute Adobe Serif MM and Adobe Sans MM) and prints to my postscript printer ok. But... if I print it to the basic office laserjet (Epson c1900), it fails to print any of the type.
    Any ideas?

No worries - thought you were from Wolverhampton University - know some
    people there ;-)
You might want to ensure all your print drivers are up-to-date since
this can seriously affect output - especially with Acrobat 8 printing
issue. Don't forget to update to 8.1.2 through the 'Check for Updates'
    option under HELP.
Another idea might be to use the PRINT AS IMAGE option under the print
menu, this will spool an image file to the printing device which might
    also help ...

  • PS CS5 Fails to Print New Document

    Folks,
I recently installed CS5 on a new Windows 7 64-bit computer. I subsequenly downloaded/installed the latest driver from Epson for my R340 printer.
I opened a .jpg in PhotoShop and printed it with no difficulty, as did an existing .psd file created with CS2. Same with existing .tif files.
However, when I created a new document, it failed to print as follows:
The PRINT option is available in the FILE pull-down menu. However, clicking it or pressing CTRL+P has no effect. No print dialog box appears. No file appears in the printer queue, and the PRINT option in the pull-down menu becomes unavailable (grayed back). Even if I close the document and PhotoShop, then restart the program in open the (now previously-exiting0 file, it stil won't print.
I thought the problem might be caused by the fact that the R340 was not designated in Windows as the default printer. But making the R340 the default printer did nothing to alter the situation.
Anybody know what the magic word might be?
    Grrrr!
    Thanks

  • Macbook X 10.6.8. Epson SX218 failed to print every fifth line, but only in MS Office documents. I updated Office. Now that line is slightly blurred as though the printer had missed out a pass.

I am helping a disabled person with a printing problem involving a Macbook, an Epson SX218, and MS Office for Macs. The Macbook had been recently updated to OS X 10.6.8, and the printer driver reinstalled, by an Apple store. She complained the printer failed to print about every fifth line. It turned out there was no problem at all with printing web pages and emails, but only with Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). I updated
Office. Later all lines were printed, but imperfectly with a bit missing from bottom of every fifth line, as though the printer had missed out a pass, so I am not sure the Office update is what made the difference. I am not at all sure whether this problem arises from the Mac or the printer or Office.

It looks like that the installation process of one of the applications have caused some trouble. One of them may have changed or added kext files.
For that, the Window server crashed if you try to open a non Apple application like Firefox
Start the system in safe mode by holding the shift key on power on.
If save mode is reached, perform a permissions repair with the Disk Utility.
Don't bother about upcoming warnings like "could not repair file xy" as that occur cause you use the tool on a running system and opened files can not get touched by the tool.
After repair is done reboot system to normal and try to open Firefox.
If the problem persits, please report back here.
