Lightshop 4.3 update / Have 4.2 installed, installer does not seem to be an update...
Lightshop 4.3 update **I have 4.2 installed and downloaded the 4.3 version when notified there was an update. Now I have extracted the files and started the installer. However, it does not appear to recognize the original 4.2 install, listing this as an update, So, do I need to delete the 4.2 version first, or just install 4.3 in the same folder right over the 4.2 install? I don't want to break anything by overwriting the original install.
The choice is yours. The Lightroom 4.3 is the complete install so you can either remove the software or install with the current installation in place.

WLS 6.0 SP1 is installed -- but does not seem to
I have downloaded WLS 6.0 for RedHat Linux and I am running a RedHat
distro.
I have also downloaded WLS 6.0 SP1 for UNIX, since the linux binaries do
not include SP1. Installation went fine, I have the
uninstaller_servicepack with all of the evidence that SP1 did install.
Timestamps of certain files were also modified, again proof that SP1 is
installed.
I never really checked if all of the problems that I was having were
fixed. Now I did check.
SP1 does not SEEM to be installed based on the following:
1) Running java weblogic.version returns the following:
[weblogic@jsalvo-desktop mydomain]$ sh version.sh
WebLogic Server Build: 6.0 12/13/2000 22:49:45 #94427
WebLogic XML Module: 6.0 12/13/2000 23:02:44 #94427
No proof of any SP1 in there. And SP1 is supposed to 2001, right?
2) encodeURL() returns a session ID with slashes in it. This is a bug
that existed prior to SP1 and I was one of those who reported in the
servlet newsgroup. SP1 is supposed to fix this problem (see below and
posts by BEA employees in the servlet newsgroup that this will be fixed
in SP1), but I am still having the problem.

some problems with URL rewriting.
3) This one I really do not know how to describe, but the problem with
WLS 5.1 SP8 wherein you get the port 80 displayed on Netscape browsers'

installation of WLS 6.0 SP1.
Lastly, I am running Apache and have also updated the shared libraries /
modules ( mod_wl.so, etc. ) accordingly from WLS 6.0 SP1 into libexec/
of Apache. Of course restarting Apache via apachtl.
So, I am sort of stumped.

John SalvoIt turned out to be a corrupted SP1 download.
I just tried installing again ( using my original SP1 download ), it
said "Congratulations! <blahh...>". But the log file in
$BEA_HOME/logs/wlserver6.0/install_sp1.log did show that it failed.
So I tried installing again with the new SP1 download ( same size,
different checksum ), and everything worked okay.

if you want to take a peek at what files have been changed or replaced
by the service pack
* Timestamps of certain files ( .jar files, .so files in lib/linux/ )

* Filesizes of the above files also changed.
Is this why Michael Girdley mentioned that there will be a separate WLS
6.0 SP1 for RedHat Linux? But the SP1 for UNIX does contain Linux
binaries ( lib/linux/*.so ).

Premier shows as installed but does not seem to have installed
I selected "Install", the program downloaded, but it never installed. How can I find the file and run it to install?
Also, I checked the installer log and didn't see any fatal errors. Working my way up from the bottom of the log, based on what another thread suggests, this should be the last component to fail at install. I can't find anything in the knowledgebase to help me figure out how to fix the problem.

Just added some details.Alexb61756434 what version of Premiere Pro are you trying to install? Which operating system are you using? Finally is your operating system 32-bit or 64-bit?

Do I need a special bluetooth for I-phone 4? I am trying to connect it with my Samsung Bluetooth and it is not picking up the signal.

FYI, "Bluetooth" is a wireless connection technology, not a physical device, and is used to connect many devices. -
After installing "Maverick" update my Epson V300 scanner software does not work anymore. Epson does not seem to have a compatible driver (yet?).
It's not just scanners, my WACOM graphic tablet no longer works, am told by WACOM support that Maverick will not recognise it as it is too old!!! Worked perfectly with X 10.8 but not any longer - am well cheesed off as its going to cost me a few bob for a new WACOM!!! Thanks Apple

I attempted to update the software of my dated iphone 3G last evening. My phone was constatantly connected with iTunes during the process. The iOS version 4.2 downloaded and installed successfully on my phone...only to state at the end that "Your SIM does not seem to be supported. Please insert a supported SIM....". It gives me no option on the phone other than making an Emergency call. I can't even restart or reboot the phone, or access springboard, etc. The black screen displays a USB cable plugged in to the iTunes logo. Incidentlly, I have been using this SIM for many months on this phone. I also tried inserting other functional SIMs. None of this works. Can someone help please!! Thanks,
Maybe it was hacked before and now through the update it's locked back to the original carrier.

Try downloading the trial. It ought to detect that you have a 64-bit system.
You aren't using Vista, are you? PSE 13 requires at least win 7 and I think a few folks with vista have gotten a similar error message on trying to install it. -
When my downloading until 80%, appear Installation error, "Window installer does not permit updatating of managed advertised product. At least one feature of the product must be installed before applying the update."
What product and version number are you talking about. Is it a trial version, or is it the full or subscription version. If the latter, activate the product with your S/N or Adobe ID and then do the updates.

Help: Just finished shooting a wedding and Aperture crashes constantly during editing. All pic's in RAW and even after making sure I have the latest Aperture update, I have had to rebuild my library twice and "repair" does not seem to fix the issue. Help?

If you have ThunderBolt, I would go with such for an External Working Drive, spinning platter or SSD depending on your budget
This does not have to be huge just big enough to house your most current Jobs
Once the Current Job is put to rest I would move it to a larger multi bay hard drive unit, USB or FireWire nothing fancy, no RAID, set up as one single Disk
This would only be accessed when something is needed from a past Job so the connection does not have to be speedy
The Drobo would be relegated to Vaults and backups
You can set up a Vault on the Drobo to back up the External Working Library and then Reconnect it when you have moved the Library over to the other Enclosure
This has worked for me pretty smoothly for a long while, but I have found over the years that one can not assume all people work in the same manner! :-)
