Today whilst in Safari I had an annoying pop-up that took two attempts to get rid of. Shortly afterwards the wifi base unit went down and had to be rebooted. Moments after rejoining the internet I had a message appear telling me another computer was trying to access my network, and gave an IP address.
I Closed this message and it never reappeared
The wifi is at my place of employment, through a regular phone line, not a company one and is used by several other people.
I've never seen this message when the wifi has comeback online previously.
If I do a clean install, I'm running Lion, will I have to put on Snow Leopard first then Lion back over the top.

You can boot into Recovery HD (Hold ⌘R on Boot), Select: Disk Utility, Erase Macintosh HD, Quit Disk Utility, then select: Reinstall OS X Lion

How can I detect and remove keystroke logger software?

I suspect that my soon to be ex-husband has surreptitiously installed keystroke logger software (or other "spyware") onto my MacMini. Is there a way to detect it and remove it? Any recommendations for protection software? Or, is it better to wipe the machine clean and reinstall software and files? I cannot afford a new computer right now, so buying a new one is not an option.

If you know or suspect that a hostile intruder has either had physical access to it, or has been able to log in remotely, then there are some steps you should take to make sure that the computer is safe to use.
First, depending on the circumstances, computer tampering may be a crime, a civil wrong, or both. If there's any chance that the matter will be the subject of legal action, then you should do nothing at all without consulting a lawyer or the police. The computer would be the principal evidence in such a case, and you don't want to contaminate that evidence.
Running any kind of "anti-virus" software is pointless. If I broke into a system and wanted to leave a back door, I could do it in a way that would be undetectable by those means—and I don't pretend to any special skill as a hacker. You have to assume that any intruder can do the same. Commercial keylogging software—which has legitimate as well as illegitimate uses—won't be recognized as malware, because it's not malware.
The only way you can be sure that the computer is not compromised is to erase at least the startup volume and restore it to something like the status quo ante. The easiest approach is to recover the entire system from a backup that predates the attack. Obviously, that's only practical if you know when the attack took place, and it was recent, and you have such a backup. You will lose all changes to data, such as email, that were made after the time of the snapshot. Some of those changes can be restored from a later backup.
If you don't know when the attack happened, or if it was too long ago for a complete rollback to be feasible, then you should erase and install OS X. If you don't already have at least two complete, independent backups of all data, then you must make them first. One backup is not enough to be safe.
When you restart after the installation, you'll be prompted to go through the initial setup process for a new computer. That’s when you transfer the data from a backup in Setup Assistant.
Select only users in the Setup Assistant dialog—not Applications, Other files and folders, or Computer & Network Settings. Don't transfer the Guest account, if it was enabled.
Reinstall third-party software from original media or fresh downloads—not from a backup, which may be contaminated.
Unless you were the target of an improbably sophisticated attack, this procedure will leave you with a clean system. If you have reason to think that you were the target of a sophisticated attack, then you need expert help.
That being done, change all Internet passwords and check all financial accounts for unauthorized transactions. Do this after the system has been secured, not before.

I'd contact bank and turn off internet access to your account. I might even change banks. I know this would be a pain, but do not know what to do.
Read through all the stuff below to increase security, but forgoing internet access to your account is the only way to be sure.
I do not use Internet banking. Everyone is being hacked these days. I have remote access to one of my bank accounts, but cannot do much but look at my account. I have a discover card and Discover lets me take out $80 in cash for free when I am at the grocery store. I use a credit card for every payment that I can.
As someone said earlier, you could reload the software on your iPad.
You could try a different browser, like Chrome. In your situation, I'd recommend using another browser. ios is sandboxed so in theory, no other application should be able to access the data in Safari. That said, there is a lot of malware associated with web sites these days. Perhaps, Safari picked up some junk. Pick another web browser. Use it with only your bank and that's it.
Restore to factory settings by loading the latest version of ios that your machine will support:
   Do a full backup of your device. Twice is best -- cloud and computer.
While I recommend backing up, I do not recommend using the backup to reload things on your iPad. Do everything manually.

In itunes my iphone shows up as having nearly 8GB of "Other"...what is taking up all this space?
On the iphone itself under settings, general, usage it indicates 12.7GB used and only 840MB available. I have one app (Audible) that is taking up 1.6GB, photos&camera take up 636MB, Spotify takes up 495MB, everything else takes up less less than 100MB each and totalling less than 2.5GB.
So if Audible is taking up 1.6GB and Spotify is taking up 636MB and all other apps take up 2.5GB this combined totals around 5GB. I have a 16GB iphone 4s.
16GB minus 5GB (my calculated usage) equals 11GB remaining. Allow for some required space utilization (let's say 3GB) and that leaves 8GB remaining. Why does my phone indicate 840MB available? That seems to equate to the amount shown in itunes that indicates 8GB of "other".
What is this 8GB of "other" that is taking up so much storage space on my iphone?

Other is usually around 1 GB...
A ' Large Other ' usually indicates Corrupt Data...
First Try a Restore from Backup...
But... if the Large Other Persists, that is an Indicator of Corrupt Data in the Backup...
Then a Restore as New is the way to go...

Th advantages of BAPI
1. Simple to use (its just an FM)
2. Not cumbersome like bdc
where we have to record each and every screen
sequence.
3. SAP guarantees the consistency
of bapi in future releases.
One of the big plusses for BAPIs is that the interface and function are not supposed to change. This is a big plus when you do upgrades or hot packs because the transaction can change (format, required inputs etc) which means you then need to update the call transaction.
Some of the BAPIs are better documented and easier to use than others.
You usually need to perform the BAPI that actually does the COMMIT after you call your BAPI.
The Program coding for calling a BAPI is usually cleaner than setting up the screen flow etc for the Call Transaction.
You don't need to worry about special data circumstances interrupting the normal data flow of the screens and causing errors because of that.
BAPIs probably have better performance since they don't do the screen flow processing.
In general if the BAPI exists for the transaction you want to perform and you can figure out how to use it the BAPI is probably the best way to go.
This is just from my experience working with both BAPI and Call Transaction. I have had some very good successes with BAPIs, but very occasionally found that I could not get the BAPI to perform the update I needed.

BAPI stands for Business API(Application Program Interface).
A BAPI is remotely enabled function module
ie it can be invoked from remote programs like standalone JAVA programs, web interface etc..
You can make your function module remotely enabled in attributes of Function module but
A BAPI are standard SAP function modules provided by SAP for remote access.
Also they are part of Businees Objest Repository(BOR).
BAPI are RFC enabled function modules. the difference between RFc and BAPI are business objects.

In this case u only specify the business object and its method from external system

Java Connector(JCO) can call not only BAPI's but also the function modules which are remotely enabled..
BAPI's as i said earlier are remotely enabled function modules..
Hence, JCO can call also BAPI's(n not only BAPI's as u mentioned).

How do you download a web page to a folder on the desktop without having all of the other rubish with it

When looking on Web Sites associated with Ancestry information how can i save the information i find to a folder on my desktop without having 3/4 files with other information that i do not want / need. The information i want is shown in a second file which is great but when i delete the 3/4 files i do not want it removes the file that i do want also. I use Windows 7.

What is the method you are using to download the webpage? Are your right clicking on the webpage and choosing "Save as.." or using an alternative method? The 3 or 4 files you are getting are likely the style-sheets associated with the website, without them the website would be nearly impossible to read.

HT201412 All sounds are mute tho mute is not on. Keystroke sounds and other phone sounds but they ring tones and notifications are still working period I have tried turning the phone off and on please help

All the keystrokes sounds in different sounds that go with the phone have stopped working do you know how to make them go again? The ring tones and notifications down this still work but not that keystrokes are other in phone sounds. Is there something I can do other than turn the phone off and on to restore them?

Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as NEW.
If the basic troubleshooting steps don't work, then you'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation and probable replacement.

I would like to set my preferences so that documents always print double-sided without having to click anything other than "print".

I'm trying to set my preferences so that all documents print double-sided automatically without my having to remember to click the "Print on both sides of paper" button. I print literally thousands of PDF files! Duplexed. How do I set this as a preference? PS: I work on a MAC OS X and I have Adobe Acrobat X 10.1.12.

I'm not trying to set the printer preferences, I'm trying to set the
Adobe Acrobat Printer defaults. If I don't click on "Print on both
sides of paper" in the Acrobat Print box, then that overrides my printer
default and prints the document single sided. In the "good old days" I
just chose "Duplex" under "Advanced" and then Acrobat would
automatically duplex all my print jobs until I chose otherwise. Now,
duplex is not an option under Advanced.... I was hoping it had just
been moved elsewhere.

I can't get into my mail without being asked for my password and its stored in keychain and not having trouble on any other device except my macbook

I have been having trouble signing on for several days to my email accounts. Everytime it asks for my password and the keychain box pops up. I retype it and it returns. I even went under mail preferences and changed it and it will not let me on. I have an iPad and an iPhone and can access it that way (so I know the password is correct) but not on macbook. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried starting up in Safe Mode?

Indian CA having 5 years experience other than core finance SAP helpful

I am a CA and MBA finance having more than 5 years experience, working with service industry in Audit and Accounts department. I am not into core finance area, but can grasp the concept within a couple of months since being a CA . Exposed to end user of Oracle 10g databse used as accounting package.
If I do SAP certification from Siemens after quiting my job then will it be helpful. My current CTC approx Rs. 8 Lacs per annum.
Whether Siemens can provide good placement with a reasonable hike in salary with this profile.

SAP Certification is not a bench mark for good job. It is only a stepping stone to expand yourself. There are many people successful without certification. Many people are unsuccessful with Certification. At the end of the day, everybody looks for money, but the passion drives you. You should learn SAP with passion. That passion brings you money. If you want to learn SAP just for the sake of getting some decent hike, better not to learn. I am not discouraging you, but learn SAP with passion, then other monetary benefits will follows you. If I am in your position, I do not bother what salary I am getting, but join because I am getting job to work on SAP. That's what you should consider. Once you get real experience, then you can dictate the terms with Employers.

I have Firefox 13.0 and I am dead in the water...It freezes on every keystroke and every other function after 20 minutes.

The above question was asked June 29, 2012 and I was directed to a page that defined my problem. But I, nor a joint call with Comcast Tech Support @$100.00 per hour could not decipher your work around. I need better defined instructions to work through this issue with 13.0 if I am expected to remain a Firefox user.
Interestingly enough, Comcast 6 years ago recommended Firefox and now they can't make sense of your "workaround" for a product that should be in beta test and not released to the public. I have spent several hundred dollars with Comcast over problems that were Firefox's. I am not happy...

I asked whether you are using an intranet in your business, with multiple connected computers, if so are you having problems with most of the computers ?
One thought I had was that as a business there would be a possibility you may be interested in Firefox ESR, but that would probably only be suitable if your business is large enough to have an IT department.
Another thought seeing that system information aside mentions XP 2005 is that Firefox 13 is only compatible with XP SP2 and above, so you should be all-right just, (but if you have older machines with XP not updated Firefox 13 will not work on them )
Did you try the to suggestions above, and also look at the article about Firefox hanging, did any of that help ?
If you had posted using Firefox instead of Chrome you would have been prompted to paste in the troubleshooting information from Firefox. '''IF''' you are still having problems that information may still be useful, and it will at least list some of the plugins that you may have installed. You can obtain it from Firefox and paste it into a reply using Chrome if that is easier for you. Presumably Chrome is working ok with no problems using the same machine and the same websites as were problematic on Firefox.
Use Firefox's menu Help -> Troubleshooting -> [Copy All to Clipboard] then paste it into a reply. When doing so you may wish to edit out the printer information it will make it shorter.

S6 Notification Sound problems (anyone else having them?), and other ?s

First off, I love my new S6 and remain very happy as I get to know the ins and outs. However, I have come up with a few problems and I'm hoping others may know the answers (I cannot find anything online).
1. The biggest problem is that the different notifications for my contacts are not working. The sounds are on the phone and are selected from the list of possible sounds. However, whenever anyone with a contact-specific ringtone or message notification contacts me, all I get is the default ring/sound. Any thoughts on how to fix this?
2. This phone uses the same green LED for everything. Is there a way to change this? My old galaxy (S3) used a blue LED for phone calls/messages/texts, a green LED for Facebook notifications/messages, etc.
3. Is there a setting to scroll through app screens (or the front screens) in a loop? It's a petty complaint for certain, but I do miss the convenience of getting from Amazon to Zedge with one page turn vs having to flip through the entire alphabet.
4. On Day 2 my lock screen decided to stay unlocked (meaning-it only required the default swipe). All of the settings indicated it was set for "pattern" but it didn't ever need the pattern. Restarting the phone put the pattern back in place, but only for a couple of times, then it went back to the default swipe. I tried this twice. I turned off the phone and left it off for 20 minutes, and haven't had a problem since, but I am adding it to this list of questions because a coworker is still experiencing this problem (powering off did not fix his problem).

I, too, am having difficult is with my Galaxy S6 contact specific message tone as well as vibration pattern. I have multiple LED colors for different items. I use the fingerprint for security and no issues there. Sure hope Verizon comes out with an answer soon. Don't like the Samsung message app, but may be forced to use it, so I can signify different vibrations/tones.
