Likely hood of update being released over the weekend...
Listen, I know V2 will arrive when it arrives, and surely it has been discussed on here enough. But I am curious, has or would an update ever be released during the weekend?? Or most likely during the normal business week? Just curious.
Why do you think it will delay?
There is a vast difference between sliding a deliverable one or two weeks, and sliding one out past a month. A slide past this second 'two week' delays demonstrates a real break down in communications and expectations and sends a signal that all is not well in Apple land.
I am a software developer by profession. Stuff happens and moving out a deliverable date 2, 3, even 4 weeks does happen. However, there is no excuse for being weeks off in an estimate when the group is close to a deliverable. Either the team is not being well managed and either can't, or won't, tell upper management that the remaining problems are more serious than anticipated, or the Apple folk are pulling our chain, leading us on with promises of 'soon' 'soon', hoping the usual Apple fanboy attitude kicks in, blinders and all.
So no, the Apple company has promised the update 'within two weeks'. Unless the scenario I just mentioned is in play, I'm expecting the update this next week.

How to hide cut/copy/paste/Replace… menu on the UIWebView when it is being displayed over the keyboard.
Detail: I am having a HTML from, having text box, displayed using UIWebView. If user types in text box it shows the keyboard. Now If user tap and hold on text box it shows a popup menu. Now while keyboard and pop up are being displayed user scrolls the view. At this time it shows pop up over the keyboard which I need to hide.
I tried setMenuVisible of UIMenuController when popup rect and keyboard rect intersects each other on viewDidScroll but it didn't help me.
Any clues will help a lot.

MY BROADBAND HAS BEEN REDUCED DRAMATICALLY IN MY HOME NETWORK USING MY AIRPORT EXTREME BASE STATION.
THIS HAPPENED SO UNEXPECTEDLY OVER THE WEEKEND. I CALL MY ISP AND THEY SIMPLY TOLD ME TO ELIMINATE THE AIRPORT

I WONDER WHETHER I WOULD HAVE TO RESET MY AIRPORT EXTREME TO FACTORY SETTINGS TO RECONFIGURE IT.Hmm. Your ISP is incorrect in telling you that removing any of your routers on the local area network will have anything to do with the bandwidth performance that they provide you at the Internet modem. On the other hand, changing/removing networking equipment on your local network DOES affect bandwidth performance on that local network.
Most likely what the ISP is asking you to do is verify that you are getting their promised download/upload bandwidth at the modem. It appears that you did that and verified that you are getting the stated bandwidth.
So, we should take a look at why, when adding the AirPort Extreme, you are getting less.
First off, which AirPort Extreme model do you have? What is the make & model of the broadband modem that your ISP is providing you?
It is always a good idea to perform a complete power recycle of your networking equipment when introducing new hardware. Please check out the following AirPort User Tip for details.

when i try to update my ipad 2 software from ios 5.0.1 to 5.1 , when i open settings--->general--->software update it is showing me :''Unable to check for update'' I tried to reboot my ipad 2 times, i tried to change the DNS , i tried to remove wifi network and to reput the password, but it doesn't work!!!
Plz can anyone help me?It might just be that the servers are very busy due to everybody else also trying to download the update for their iPad, iPhone and/or iPod Touch - try at a less busy time (e.g. early or late), or leave it for a day or two (though it may also be busy over the weekend).

Facetime will not use the cellular network (if using AT&T) for the iphone 4, 4S or 5 unless you have signed up for ATT's new data share plan. They stated this several weeks ago when there was talk about Iphone5/IOS 6 and Facetime. Your carrier is the one that decides if Facetime will work over the cellular network or not. You might want to contact them. Your other option is to continue using it via wi-fi.

I just bought a mac mini over the weekend. I saved items from my old G4 to an external hard drive. I go to plug in the external hard drive and the new computer is not recognizing it. Help.
Here is the information I have. The external hard drive is a 120GB Acomdata. It has both USB and Firewire. When I go to plug in to the mac mini through USB, it is not being recognized. When I switch to Firewire on the old computer I can see it, however when I go to USB it is not being recognized (even on the old computer).

-Boot Mini with drive disconnected.
-Do not connect drive but turn it on
-wait a few seconds for drive to spin up
-plug cable into the Mini then into drive.
This is an old drive and may have some timing
issues.

just bought 3 ipads for the family over the weekend at the flea market. they were all in closed sealed boxes. 2 ipads synced just fine and are working great. the 3rd however is being an issue. it says that it is already linked to an email. does that mean it is stolen? all material and serial nu,bers match up everywhere. was wondering if this could be fixed by me, apple store, or should i be a good samaritian and turn it over to the police with the receipt and where and who i bought it from?
Or it could simply have been sold by someone that didn't know enough to wipe it.
You could check with the police, see if they have it listed as stolen.
If you can get into the settings of that ipad you can 'erase all content and settings' and start fresh. -

I downloaded OS X Mavericks over the weekend and it has made my Macbook very slow. Browsing has become slow. Mail hardly moves. It takes ages to show contents of inbox, yes including previously downloaded emails too. Thus the overall experience is very disappointing. IS THERE A WAY TO GO BACK TO THE PREVIOUS OS X that I had? OS X Mavericks should be renamed as OS X HAVOCKWRECKS.
I am just a Apple user guy.

I have Wi Fi at home, over the weekend it stopped working on our Ipad and Iphone, yet it still works on Blackberry and laptop and desktop, have tried forget this network, have tried reset network settings but looks like nothing works, The Ipad and phone show the "mushroom" bars as if connected, yet it doesn't display the family wi fi network as normal,.....help
I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 6 tonight and initially had the same problem. I could send a text via iMessage only through cellular network; not my wifi. After fooling around with the settings for an hour or so, I THINK I solved the problem...
According to an article I read online, iOS 6 unifies your phone number and Apple ID. Therefore, if someone sends an iMessage to your phone number, you could hypothetically receive it via an iPad or Mac. In my case, I didn't have my cell number listed on my Apple ID account. Therefore, when I connected to my wifi, iMessage tried to access my number via my Apple ID. Since I didn't have my number listed, iMessage subsequently didn't work.
I logged into my Apple ID, added my mobile number. I also rest my network settings under 'settings,' 'general,' 'reset,' and 'reset network settings.' Then, I restarted my phone. Under my message settings, I selected 'send and receive' and made sure BOTH my phone number AND email address were selected. Everything SEEMS to be working fine now...

Over the weekend I added appointments to my iPad, then went to sync those changes to my iCal on my Mac and iPod. The calendars on my Mac and iPod were wiped clean. All the appointments I have on my iPad are there but I am unable to sync with the Mac or the iPod. Help,
Since there was no response I upgraded to Outlook 2010. All sync problems have been resolved now... but I have to learn a new version of Office.
