  • Logitech Driving Force GT,How limit 900º steering wheel angle to 200º?

    Hi,
I've read that iRacing is going to be ported to linux soon and I've said to myself "Hey man! The time has come, I already can almost say... goooooood bye win!" So, I must be ready when that time comes.
I've got a Logitech Driving Force GT wheel. It's well detected by the kernel at boot time and I can check that it's well detected with jstest-gtk (its whole 900 degrees and pedals are well detected). It's not a problem if you're going to drive a street car, in fact it's what must be since the 900º is a feature of this wheel. But when you need to drive an F1 you must limit the steering wheel angle to 200 or 270 degrees. In windows works perfectly with the logitech profiler, it's the easiest thing ever, but in linux I have no idea how to do it.
When I drive an F1 car I must turn my wheel one turn and a half to reach the side limit, while the wheel of the car in the game just turns about 3/4 of a turn. We both (me with my wheel and the wheel at the videogame) reach the side end of the range at the same time, but the wheel in the videogame just turns 3/4 of a turn while I must turn one whole turn and a half.
I've tried with LTWheelConf ($ sudo ltwheelconf --wheel DFGT --range 200), G25manage, usb-tool... but anything succeed. I've read something about that since kernel 3.2 the FFB and wheels control is built into the kernel modules so these tools are not working anymore or something like that. But, if that's true, how do we do those things that these program did now?
About Force Feed Back, it just works in Live for Speed (although not as good as in windows) while in rFactor, GTR 2, GTR Evolution, TORCS, VDrift and Speed Dreams does not work at all. But I think this needs other topic.
How can I limit the steering angle to my desired degrees?

May I continue this thread in the kernel & hardware forum because I've realize that the wheel isn't detected with the 900 grades and full range pedals at boot time, I have to run  ltwheelconf --wheel DFGT --nativemode. So it is more a device configuration than a software use of it.

  • Oracle 8.1.7 driver limit causes problems with CMP

The information below is from Oracle's site and has been noted by a few
people on various message groups. We had upgraded to 8.1.7 but hadn't put
the latest classes12.zip (June 2001) in our classpath. When we do, we get
the following error from the driver/generated code. We believe this is
because we are hitting the limit cited below. I don't know why the Oracle
driver has this limit, but since WL generates this code for the EB, I don't
see an easy way for us to avoid it.
Anyone have any comments on this? Is my interpretation of the stacktrace
correct? If we go back to the old classes12.zip (June 2000) then we don't
have this problem. But in addition to wanting to run the matching zip file
with the version of the DB, we also want to use some of the functionality in
the 8.1.7 zip. Does BEA have a workaround for CMP?

Using Streams to Avoid Limits on setBytes() and setString()
There is a limit on the maximum size of the array which can be bound using
the PreparedStatement class setBytes() method, and on the size of the string
which can be bound using the setString() method.
Above the limits, which depend on the version of the server you use, you
should use setBinaryStream() or setCharacterStream() instead.
When connecting to an Oracle8 database, the limit for setBytes() is 2000
bytes (the maximum size of a RAW in Oracle8) and the limit for setString()
is 4000 bytes (the maximum size of a VARCHAR2 in Oracle8).
When connecting to an Oracle7 database, the limit for setBytes() is 255
bytes (the maximum size of a RAW in Oracle7) and the limit for setString()
is 2000 bytes (the maximum size of a VARCHAR2 in Oracle7).
The 8.1.6 Oracle JDBC drivers may not raise an error if you exceed the limit
when using setBytes() or setString(), but you may receive the following
    error:
ORA-17070: Data size bigger than max size for this type
Future versions of the Oracle drivers will raise an error if the length
    exceeds these limits.

I added some debug output to verify that this problem is definitely caused
by the WL generated code/Oracle driver. To do this, I used
the -keepgenerated code on ejbc. Then I modified the generated code to
print the length of the byte array before calling setBytes. I compiled the
class and put an updated version in my bean jar.
When I run our test suite, I see hundreds of calls to setBytes with sizes
such as 315, 368, 1988, 2020. And then occasionally there are sizes of
41932 or 19409. These larger sizes are always followed by the ORA-01483
    exceptions.
This appears to be certain confirmation that the problem is caused by the
8.1.7 driver's enforcement of the 4k limit on the methods that the
WL-generated code is using to map our Java byte[] to our Long Raw/BLOB field
in Oracle. Any suggestions for workarounds?Actually, it indicates the driver's being caught by the limitation that
Oracle itself imposes with setBytes(). This is a known issue I believe, and
you should ask support for a patch to ejbc that generates calls to setBinaryStream()
    rather than setBytes().

We use WL 5.1, SP10. I've noticed that sp11 is now out, but it doesn'tseem
to have any fixes for this problem (it mentions Oracle 8.1.6, but not8.1.7,
which seems to be the release in which Oracle started enforcing thislimit).
We're kind of stuck at the moment, I'm surprised no one else hasencountered
this problem with WebLogic (I have seen postings elsewhere about it with
    other AppServers)

    Hi Joe,
From your CMP DD it's clear that you use WL 5.1. Which service pack
    do you use?
AFAIR this problem was fixed in WL 6.1, though I'm not sure about
5.1. Could you use ejbc with -keepgenerated option and look at
    SystemSessionDataPSWebLogic_CMP_RDBMS.java, particularly
how bind variable related to you LONG RAW? Is setBytes used? Or
    it's something like setBinaryStream?

    Hi Joe,
This limit defines limit written to oracle strings, raws, blobs and
    clobs
when setBytes is used. It has nothing to do with the exception
    you're

Could you show us your CMP deployment descriptor(s)?

  • Time limit Exceeded problem

    Hi ,
I have a file to idoc scenario .
I have a file which generates many idocs (size atmost 5 mb)
I am aware sap recommends to limit the message the file size to atmost 5mb.
Do they mean file size of the payload ...because size increases in xi also .
I just want to process such a file quickly .
For that I am employing queue priortization at both sender and reciever .
and would idoc packaging help at the receiver .
Besides I am getting 'time limit exceeded in sm58' although I am seeing my idocs in idx5.
Here are some of the things I have checked ..
    1) Parameters in SXMB_ADM - Integration Eningine configuration ---Specific configuration ...tried various tuning parameters ...but it didn't work..
    2) In partner profile in recieving CRM system made chagend the setting from trigger immediately ..to background Task ...
(I am not certain how far that is relevant .
If it is a problem with CRM system's ability to accept mass idocs (because a small number is acceptible ...under 1mb file size ) then seetings should in crm so that large number idocs get succesfully posted .
I have posted this issue several times ...Kindlyhelp
KIndly what parameters i should tweak in xi or that matter recieving crm system to take care of this problem.
    Kindly help

    HI,
    Large size of file processing
In general, an extra sizing for XI memory consumption is not required. The total memory of the SAP Web Application Server
should be sufficient except in the case of large messages (>1MB).
To determine the memory consumption for processing large messages, you can use the following rules of thumb:
Allocate 3 MB per process (for example, the number of parallel messages per second may be an indicator)
Allocate 4 kB per 1kB of message size in the asynchronous case or 9 kB per 1kB message size in the synchronous case
Example: asynchronous concurrent processing of 10 messages with a size of 1MB requires 70 MB of memory
    (3MB + 4 * 1MB) * 10 = 70 MB With mapping or content-based routing where an internal representation of the message payload
may be necessary, the memory requirements can be much higher (possibly exceeding 20 kBytes per 1kByte
message, depending on the type of mapping).
The size of the largest message thus depends mainly on the size of the available main memory. On a normal 32Bit operating system, there is an upper boundary of approximately 1.5 to 2 GByte per process, limiting the respective largest message size.

  • Customer credit limit updation problem

    Hi,
i created some customers, right now they don't have any credit limits, now by using fd32 Tcode i am trying to change the customer credit limit (creating new credit limit), but it is going to short-dump due to some time-out problem, can any one tell me for already existing users how to create credit limt.
    Thanks,
    Sreeram.

    Hi
You need to enable the "audit trail" for this particular field
    Go to System Admin: Security:AuditTrail:Install
    Enable Audit Installation for AR
Enabling the audit trail wil help you know the changes history.
As far as my knowledge is concerned, there is no approval hierarchy on customer credit limit application, all you can do is to assign the responsibility to the authorized person.

    Hi jkg1989tfk
    Thank you for your post.
Best thing I can recommend is to visit your local Nokia care point and let one of the engineers inspect the device. Please be aware any repairs made will be chargeable but you will be given a cost first before you decided whether you wish to repair it or not.
You can find your local care point on the following link:

  • Clamshell iBook Lime Airport Problems

I have posted some questions here and there on this board and gotten some great help. Thanks all!
My problem seems to boil down to my iBook motherboard! It has been working fine all these years (original owner), but when I put in an Airport Card (802.11b) it was not recognized. I made sure I had all the software and firmware updates from Apple; I checked and rechecked my physical installation including altering, then repairing spring clip; I checked the card out in another Mac (OK); I reset the Open Firmware.
    Nada
    Zip
    Ziltch
I get a message from the Airport Assistant that the proper hardware is not installed.
I am not using an Airport Base Station, but the other Mac found my Actiontec Router (Verizon FiOS).
My machine specs: iBook SE Key Lime 466 MHz 320RAM OS 10.2.8
If this is a problem with the motherboard, is there anything I can do? I have taken apart and repaired electronics before (not this Mac). If there might be a loose solder joint or a problem with the card plug, I'm sure I could handle it.
I don't want to open up my baby, so are there any other fixes out there?
If I do have to go in, I dont want to go at it blind- I'll need suggestions.
Thank you all again for getting me this far.

    Yahoo!
I am happy to tell you that I am posting this from my Airport enabled Clamshell!
I used the iFixIt link to disassemble my entire iBook down to the logic board. What a riot. There were no visible shorts or bad connections, and as I don't know how to test individual components, I just cleaned as I progressed. After reassembly, she fired up nice and recognized the Airport card. Must have been a loose or dirty connection between the card port and the logic board.
The entire process only took ~4 hours. It was not as difficult as the site warns you it is. Just lots of screws to keep track of, but they give you a printable organizer for that.
I want to thank Duane and Troy for their help. I would have given up long ago if not for their advice. It's good to know that people still help each other out. The modern technological equivalent to a "Barn Raising". Well, I offer what help I can to the next needy person.
    Pass it on.

  • MSI MS-6330, AMD Duron 900 problems.

    Hi all,
Let me just start by saying I bought my computer at a trade show and i regret it very much, Not only did the "New" 52x cd burner stop working but a few days ago i go to turn on my computer and it turns on but the monitor does not. Like its not getting a signal. Besides the video card (Geforce 2 MX) being possibly dead what else should I look into, the proc?
If it is the processor that's dead does anyone know if i can put a sightly fast AMD duron in its place? like the 1.3?
I know this this board is a gateway oem but theres really nothing I can do right now about buying a better one so any help towards fixing my current one would be great

As you are going to look inside, please give all possible PC specs includding P.Su. brand and how much AMPS. it gives to 3.3v. 5v. and 12v. Most possible is a very cheap P.Su. and this can lead you to big problems.

  • Who is having family sharing limit connection problems?

During my setup with IOS 8 I set up family sharing, with some difficulty but eventually got it going and was able to share with my spouse. Calendars, etc...as stated.  When I downloaded Yosemite OS yesterday to the Mac I noticed that in the management of sharing with my spouse's iphone and ipad mini that my name was associated with her email address. It was causing some slight confusion.
I tried to correct this error by deleting the family sharing account and setting it up again. It initially didn't work so I deleted same again and then found that there were limits on adding an account and sharing more than two times in a year. I contacted Apple (Australia) and was told there was nothing that could be done, except maybe trying another email account. I did this but realised eventually that the limits are to YOUR account and so now I cannot access the family sharing now for 339 days. The warnings were not explicit as the messages opened up under the pane I was working on and did not initially realise there were warnings. I have been told that there is no reset for this matter. Is there anything that Apple can do to assist? I know I made a couple of genuine mistakes but surely there is a way to reset. I am not sure of the logic behind the limits. Does anybody have any other information that could assist?

    JohnB_VZW
According to the map I should be getting
    Verizon 4G LTE .
I have to zoom out to level 6 before any Verizon 4G LTE Extended even shows on the map. Ergo the map is incorrect and misleading (fraudulent?) on the level of service available. The area near my address should be labeled as 3G / 1X not 4G.
Even 4G LTE Extended would be closer to the truth.

I have changed a few simulation custom settings to make your circuit run, basically lossening the restrictions on error calculation and iteration precision. Let me know if this fixed it for you. I'm using version 12.

  • Time Limit Exceeded while executing Proxy Program

    Hi all,
we are  frequently facing Time Limit Exceeded problem in R/3 system while exceuting proxy program for large payloads (appx 5-7 MB). Sometimes we are able to successfully restart the message and sometimes we have to delete these messages. How can we resolve this issue.
    Thanks,
    Mayank

    hi Joerg,
we are getting this error in inbound queue in R/3 system, also this is a async call, so no chance of any communication interruption b/w SAP systems. From PI system, message is succeccfully passed to R/3 system & Time Limit Exceeded is coming in R/3 system inboud queue (SMQ2). Is it poosible that timeout will happen within R/3 system.
    Thanks,
    Mayank

  • Is there a size limit with the upload method ?

    Hi,
I wrote an air application (with js and html) to upload files from local disc to a webserver, using a php script to uplad the file. When testing, every thing is ok wonly with files less than 8 mb, if I try to upload a 8mb file or more, there is no error message, but the file is not uploaded !!
Is there any file size restriction in air ?
    I configured my php.ini :
    upload_max_filesize = 100M
well but the strange thing is that phpmyadmin tells me that the maxsize for imported files is 8mb...

In fact there is no limit, the problem is with my php server, the size was limited by the php.ini post_max_size parameter !!!
Have a look on this :

  • Problem Executing Batch File

I wrote out a java class that I tried using cfobject to call. It didn't work. So I wrote a batch file to call the java class.  The batch file works, but NOt when I have coldfusion call it. Nothing happens, no error... nothing.  I thought it might be a permissions issue, but I tried changing permissions for coldfusion although I may have doneit wrong since I'm not too familiar with Vista.  Can anyone offer advice on what I can do.  Its a simple java class and I can't get it to run.  no errors in the log.  There isn't much for me to go on.  All I know is that the class and batch file work fine if Coldfusion doesn't call them.

To limit the problems with the class itself and cfobject, I've created a batch file to run the class.  The batch file runs the class fine, so long as I execute the batch via command line.  But coldfusion doesn't execute the batch with cfexecute.  the same exact problem with absolutely no error messages.
Unfortunately, cfexecute is not the easiest tag to debug. In my experience sometimes it confuses more than clarifies.  But trying it is not a bad idea from a troubleshooting point of view.
However,  if I create a java class in the same folder that doesn't write to the system and only returns variables, it works fine.  This indicates the class path is set correctly and that cfobject does work.
    Yes, I would agree.
It does sound like it might be a permissions issue. But I have little experience with Vista, so there may well be another cause.  Since it sounds like you are just testing a very simple java class, can you post the code for the class itself as well as the exact cfexecute code you are using? I could test it on another operating system. Just to see if there is some obvious problem.

From the 100's of pages I've read online with people with similar problems, this seems to be a permissions issue.  however, I've set Coldfusion to run as me, the administrator and only person who uses this computer.  It is no longer running as local system.
However, this didn't fix anything.  My only guess is that perhaps I've no set it to run as me correctly.  But I have no way of testing this.  Windows logs show no error messages either.  Is there any way to have coldfusion show me what user its trying to execute the batch as.
I believe the user account can be obtained from the java system properties.  Try:
    <cfset sys = createObject("java", "java.lang.System")>
    <cfoutput>
       <b>user.name</b> = #sys.getProperty("user.name", "not found")#<hr>
       <b>coldfusion.classPath</b> = #sys.getProperty("coldfusion.classPath")#<br>
    </cfoutput>

  • Zen Micro as a portable HardDisk: PROBLEM WITH BIG FI

    Hello,
i own a Zen Micro 5 GB, firmware is 2..02.
When i tried to put a DIVX-movie on it, to take it to another computer, the file (around 700MB) was put succesfully on the Zen Micro's harddisk, but when i tried to copy it to other computers FROM the Zen, it failed, giving an error about insufficient memory. (on the zen i suppose, because this error came on different, good computers). Also, smaller files (like mp3) give no problems with this.
IS THE ZEN MICRO ABLE NOT ONLY TO STORE LARGE FILES, BUT TO COPY THEM AS WELL, because using it as a portable harddisk was one of my main reasons for choosing this product.
Or is my product faulty? Or firmware?
Thank you for reactions, (others who experience this?), suggestions or solutions!
    Greetings!

  • CDG-03009 while generating a Menu

We get the error CDG-03009 while generating our application menu.
We appear to have reached a limit of unique arguments on our menu generation. Generation Preference MNUUPS is set to N, as suggested by Oracle to allow more than 254 , But we appear to have reach the new limit (900 there abouts).
Has anyone else had this problem and/or know a solution to allow further modules with Parameters to be added to the menu.

    Hi David,
Have you seen note 125508.1 on metalink?
It gives further details on how to generate more than 254 parameters: (extract)
To use more than 254 parameters, define substitution strings by using the
sequence Designer is using and then adding your own sequence as, for example:
    A0..A9 and AA..AZ,
    B0..B9 and BA..BZ,
    Z0..Z9 and ZA..ZZ
This results in defining up to 26*(10+26)-6 = 930 parameters instead of
    (24*10)-6=224.
However, it appears that the maximum is 930. Might you be at that limit?
