Limewire music.

okay i downloaded limewire and downloaded a bunch of songs that all show up on my itunes playlist but when i plug my ipod up to the computer it won't load the limewire songs on there..so what am i supposed to do cause i have tried everything.

dont do that (never works)
take the songs and burn them to a disc and import that disc to itunes (a waste of time and a hassel) but doing what u suggest wont work unless u have the limewire window open
(limewire will not update ur ipod)

Remedial question: How do you transfer music from Limewire to iPods?

I have an iPod (2nd gen) and I also have Limewire, where ALL of my music is stored, becuase I'm a horrible person and I download music. My problem is I cannot figure out how to transfer the music from my lime wire to my iPod, I would just burn all of te music onto cds but that would take FOREVER because there's well over 800 songs. Also not all of the songs that I do have come up when i want to burn no matter how many times I scan my system. Please if you know how to transfer from lime wire to Ipod tell me!

Some say that they can successfully use the "Add File To Library" option in iTunes under "File" in regards to importing Limewire music to iTunes. I don't use Limewire so I can't confirm this. All you can do is try. If that doesn't work then you are going to have to burn your music and then import it into iTunes from the CD.

Importing music from limewire

I have a friend who has a mac and his limewire music automatically imports to his itunes when he downloads new songs. I have a computer with Windows XP and I can't figure out how to get my music to automatically import to my itunes from limewire. Can anyone help me?

Limewire in iTunes?

I use limewire on my computer(a file transfer program) and it has suddenly appeared in my itunes side menu thing. I have been running both programs (limewire and itunes) for almost 6months now and have never had this happen until now. Thing is it's my brothers limewire music that shows up in it, not mine. How do I get rid of it?

This happened to me as well. I know I set no sharing when I got the computer of the box but wondered if one or all of the updates/new releases comes defaulted with sharing on.

Limewire With IPod Nano

Is a Limewire connection?

Hello again,
I am new to this ipod business, and a novice at the computer. A deadly combination I know. However I have Limewire music service. Is there any way to export songs directly from Limewire into my Ipod? At the present time I make a CD and then download the CD into the ipod, there must be a better way.

ITunes keeps turning on on its own??

Why does the latest iTunes keeps turning on on its own?? I'm not plugging in any devices or anything else. I close it and after a few minutes it pops up again. (Already re-installed, problem still there on two separate PC's)

You should know that P2P clients, like LimeWire or Acquisition, will open iTunes right after they finish downloading a song. They do that to import the song to your iTunes Library, and add it to the playlist LimeWire music or Acquisition or whatever the name of the program.
So, if you leave a P2P program downloading music, it will open iTunes immediately after it fully downloads an audio track.

ITunes says 1227 tracks, IPHONE and Touch say 1212 tracks

I see this in ITUNES 7.7X and now 8.0. ITunes reports 1227 tracks/songs @ 4.98 Gb BUT on both my IPOD Touch and my IHPONE 3G they say 1212 tracks/songs @ 4.83 Gb. I have looked under the Music folder in both the ITUNES and the Touch/IPhone and all tracks are checked for sync. Everything else syncs fine, Contacts, Pictures.
What happened to the 15 tracks/songs?
BTW I see this both on my PC and my new IMAC.

did you download any music from limewire. sometimes but not all the time limewire music will go in itunes library with no problem and will play with no problem but for some reason sometimes all limewire music does not get transferred to ipod

Mac Right Hand Speeker Problem

Hi im new here
i recently bought a new iMac os X and has been working fine until now
when i run music of a website lets say runescape the sound in the left speaker works perfect but the right one is screwed up and crackly, same when i run it threw limewire/frostwire but if i transfer the same music i have running threw limewire music player into Itues music player it works fine like a perfect speaker. i read that it was a virus for windows xp/vista? anyone got any ideas?

If its just that website or program thats causing you grief with the speaker, and downloaded music that plays through iTunes is fine, then the problem would be with the external program/website, not your speaker. If the sound is crackly through the speaker when any sound comes out of it, from any program or source then it might be a loose connection to the tweeter. You should take it to your local Apple store or give them a call to see if there is a quick fix.
This is where apple care is a dream.

ITunes keeps turning on

ITunes has started turning on randomly with no activity from me. I can leave the computer and come back and it will be on or when I am on line it will just turn on. It does not start playing anything it just turns on.

Virus in iTunes?

My computer was recently infected with viruses and spyware, but I managed to get rid of it with the new McAfee anti-virus software. However, when I opened iTunes today, I noticed for the first time that there was a category titled "Owner's Shared LimeWire Music." I have never used LimeWire, and I don't share my computer or iTunes with anybody. When I tried to delete the files, I got a window that said that the files weren't accessible from my computer, and a search of all my files came up blank.
Did someone get into my iTunes? How can I get rid of these files?

In iTunes go to Edit>Preferences>Sharing and uncheck the box "Look for shared libraries" the limewire link should disappear.

ITunes 601 Sharing

Just wondering if anyone that had problems sharing their iTunes library for versions 5.0 and after got it sorted?
I am running a WinXP PC and a WinXP laptop on a WAN and both have iTunes 6.0.1 installed. The PC has all the music stored on it and I want to share it with my laptop.
I have read through all the previous threads and tried all the suggestions such as radio, reinstall and ports but to no avail. I have myTunes Redux on the laptop and it can see the library so I have no idea where to go from here.

Just another point. When I have Limewire open at the same time as iTunes on the PC, the laptop can see the complete library under 'Alans Limewire Music'.

Downloading songs into itunes music folder from limewire

I currently have songs scattered all over my computer and hard driveome from various programs and methods I have used to get music over the years. Some of the music is already in itunes and some isnt. I want to consolodate everything into my itunes music folder to make it more convenient. In an effort to do this I have switched my limewire preferences to download directly into the itunes music folder. However, when I download a song it appears in itunes only in a folder called "Limewire Tunes" but it is not present in the recently added folder or the itunes library. Does anyone know how I could remedy this?

Of course you can always go into your preferences @
Edit>Preferences>Advanced
and put a check next to Keep itunes music organized and copy files to itunes music folder when adding to library.
This way you can just add your new music to your library and it will automatically put it in your itunes folder for you all nice and neat like then you can delete the other music files from your limetunes music folder to keep you from having duplicates on your computer. Its a nice way to consolidate all your music into one easy to backup location

Limewire was discontinued and shut down about a year ago and as a result of this, most of the music and files you find in the program are corrupt or virus-laden. Your computer may be affected, but your iPhone will not get a virus from a malicious music file because the mailicious code was not designed to be harmful to iOS, only to Windows.
