Hi everyone...I am a new iPod user. I dowloaded the "Hotel California" video from Limewire and convert it for the iPod. When I play the video on my iPod, there is no sound. Can someone help me with this issue?

Things you download via Limewire are often low-quality and/or encoded in some strange, PC-only encoding. You might be able to see it using mplayer, but it will never work on an iPod.

Find the folder to which Limewire saves the downloads. From there you can then drag the tracks to the iTunes window.
Don't Steal! Please make sure that all content (music, movies, etc.) you obtain from P2P networks is legal, not pirated. Most content on P2P networks such as Limewire is there illegally.

How can i transfer songs from limewire onto itunes???

OK...so i have limewire and i dont know how to copy them into itunes i know that you like press shift and then drag it into itunes but i dont know the details of how to do it and i really nedd help. i beg of YOU

the way i do it, and im a perfectionist so this might not interest you. but i always want my music files organized. so i dont copy right into iTunes. I go to the original file location where iTunes has stored all the other music, and i create a new folder for the songs that i am putting into iTunes. Then after i put the music in that folder, i drag that folder into iTunes. This way, I always know where that music is if i ever want to transfer it to another computer.

not sure what you did, did right, or did not do...
start with looking at the location of files. in the advanced tab, does it show the path to your music files?
If so, then try FILE > ADD FOLDER TO LIBRARY

Help! LimeWire will not work on my Mac mini 10.4.11 now that i cleaned it out and had to get the new LimeWire. It keeps asking for Java 1.6 but I'm having no luck. :O( LimeWire was the reason I bought a Mac!

Very weird day in Firefoxland
First on a Powerbook G4 running 10.4.11 I respond to an invitation to upgrade to Firefox 4 (like a lot of others). Long story short, I wind up losing the browser altogether -- including all bookmarks. Why? Because neither the Firefox homepage (or CNET downloads) makes it clear that 4.0 is for OS 10.5 only! Amazing!
Then I try to register to post a reply in a thread that crits Firefox for not making this System Requirements info upfront clear. But the Register page I’m taken to (https://support.mozilla.com/bs/users/register) is in SERBO-CROATIAN!!
Then I try to log into Chat a couple of times and when it’s not CLOSED its a long line waiting and THEN it closes.
WOW!! Are the wheels off the wagon here or what!?!

Java 1.6 won't install on 10.5.6 and can't download limewire

I am having a problem downloading limewire on this macbook which i bought second hand. When i try to download limewire it tells me that i need Java 1.6, which i have downloaded and when i try to extract it it gives me an error message that says that it needs 64 bit? Does anyone know how I can do this. It seems a little ridiculous to have the most current software and not be able to download limewire. I have a power book G4, an IMAC and another MACBOOK all with Leopard and i have had no problems.
My 16 year old is dying without her Limewire!

Download and install these in order:

If unable, then download and install the 10.5.6 COMBO update, repair permissions, restart, and try installing the Java updates.

Zipeg and limewire no longer functioning (both bounced back).

Zipeg and limewire are no longer functioning on my mac (limewire first, about 3 weeks ago). In fact, i've tried to re-downloaded both softwares but the applications will only bounce back and not functioning. Previously (2 months ago), i have a same problem with MacDJView. Any idea what's wrong with my mac?

Some programs will not run if they are located outside of the "/Applications" directory on the
boot volume. I have Zipeg, but I don't have the other programs you use, so I don't know
if they will run on your second partition. My Zipeg install is on my boot drive, I've never
tried to run it on my data partition. I, like you, do have programs located on a second partition,
and every now and then I try to install one there and it will refuse to run, if it does refuse to run,
I go ahead and install it on the boot volume, however the majority of apps don't care where they
are installed.
Did you just install these apps or have they been working and just decided to quit?

Limewire playlists showing up in home sharing

I have a weird problem. I have limewire playlists showing up in my Itunes 9 shared area. No one in the household has ever installed limewire on the pcs, and nothing shady is done on any of them. If I open the playlists they are full of music none of us would ever listen to, and I'm able to play music from it.
I'm in a rural area and the nearest house is 1/2 a mile away. I disabled wireless on the router anyway, and the playlists still remain afterwards (and remain playable). Unchecking the "Look for shared playlists" in itunes makes the playlists go away but the problem still remains... is someone somehow leeching off my internet connection or is itunes just doing something funny? I've googled "itunes limewire playlists" and it does seem to be happening to other people.

LimeWire doesn't connect on Mac OS X Leopard... What's the problem???

I've got constantly firewall icon on and one bar in the connection progress...... When I put my tracking arrow on it, it shows: "You are currently connecting to the network"..... I tried to restart Mac, but it doesn't help.... What I'm supposed to do??? Help me!!!
P.S. As a matter of fact all P2P programs don't work on my Mac...:/ Under the Tiger on the same network all P2P programs work smoothly...:/

Limewire has not updated their software for Leopard. Currently only runs on 10.4.X (Tiger) according to their website.

PROBLEM WITH LIMEWIRE FOLDER

My Limewire songs are showing up in the Source Directory, but are not transferring to the IPOD or ITUNES library. How to I transfer them to be able to play them on the IPOD?

OK. I downloaded limewire...and then i downloaded iTunes.The limewire comes with iTunes integration once you have both and when you do a folder comes up in ur itunes mainscreen about owners limewire tunes.Well i looked in the troubleshooting part and found out how to get that folder into my library so i could sort them into playlists because im not the only one that uses this computer(and you can't put them into playlists if they aren't in your library)so now once i did that and got my playlists sorted out, now when I download the new songs they go right back into my owners limewire tunes and not the library ... so it's like all that was for nothing.... PLZ HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

That's one of the weird things.. it recognizes it maybe 10% of the time. And usually, only after I do the two-button reset. Problem is.. since it won't charge above 2%, anytime I try to do a restore or anything like that using iTunes, my device shuts off and I lose whatever progress I'd made.
So, an update... after reading through a bunch of similar complaints (there are literally 1000's of them so there's NO WAY this isn't somehow ios7 related, thanks a lot APPLE ) I decided to try a restore in recovery mode. After 3 hours and several disconnections... I ended up having to just set it up as a new iPad, as the restore did nothing. Weirdly though... as I was doing the restore in recovery mode.. I noticed I'd gotten up to a 10% charge.. higher than it's been since September, so after setting it up as a new device, I turned it off and plugged it in using the wall charger. 2 hours later and I was up to 38%. Still not great, as my iPad, before ios7 could've fully charged twice in the amount of time it took for me to now get 28% more of a charge. And that's with a fully cleaned out device.. so that really ***** and I'm now more confused than ever.
But I'm gonna leave it overnight charging and see what I come up with tomorrow. Sadly, when I paid $600 for it in February, I never expected to have to play "wait and see" with it...

Does anyone know where I can find my music?!!! After upgrading my itunes with an automatic update I cant find my limewire libray that was in my itunes folder. I am a VERY GREEN Mac user. Basically I dont have a clue!

Is this software safe to install? I've heard so much about it and I run a very clean system. I just don't want to introduce any problems on this system. I think it runs using Java and I'm wondering if it uses Apple's built-in Java or does it install its own Java files?
Does anyone know much about this software? Maybe a bit of a dumb question but it never hurts to ask when in doubt.
