Limit Management
Hi,
In forex area, we config limit management for company wise, trader wise, business partner wise and portfolio wise.
At the time of deal creation system show following warning message and limit not update.
Limit management was not updated
Message no. K-788
Diagnosis
Default risk limit: An error occurred in the limit check. For this reason the system was unable to update the transaction in its current form in Management.
Procedure
Note the default risk limit information in the "Limit Utilization Details".
Please help.
Regards,
Vishal Patel
Dear Vishal,
This is a very generic message as you may see. You may check the following things before debugging and finding the reason.
1) The default risk rule in your deal is linked to at least one determination procedure.
2) There exists at least one limit type for this determination procedure.
3) For the set of characteristics for the limit type, there are values in the deal.
As an example, lets say, your limit type has limit product group as the only characteristic. Then check if limit product group is filled in the deal.
4) For this value of the characteristic, a limit has been created. If not, at least you have allowed the system to Generate Limit in the limit type.
5) You have executed KLNACHT at least once for all the determination procedures in your system.

Jitesh

Derivation of DARBEG and DAREND for Limit Management
Dear all,
we are using Limit Management for many years now, but the two fields DARBEG and DAREND in Table JBKLOBJ1 are not filled.
I assumed that these fields are filled automatically but this is wrong.
How should these fields be filled? Can anybody help me?
Best regards
MarcusYou can use these fields to limit the duration of validity of financial object.
The validity of a financial object is not used in any analytical question. So, it would be easy to just not fill it in. However, it is still recommend diligence in filling it in, preferably with a few days extra at the beginning and end of the actual validity of the financial object. Correctly specified validity can be used to achieve a significant performance boost in your system.
Example1: consider a report in the Analyzers that uses the specified selection criteria to select and process a set of financial objects with their underlying financial-instrument positions. If a validity entry is available for the financial object and the date in questionlies outside that validity, then even in the first selection step, before the selection is forwarded to the original data store in the Transaction Manager, the financial object can be filtered out of the selected set. On the other hand, if you neglect to maintain validity entries, the central access logic has to consult the underlying financial instrument positions instead. Then, all flows are selected and totaled up by the selector in the Transaction Manager, only then to determine that the total is zero and that the position is irrelevant. The result is the same for filled and unfilled validity. The second option, however, requires more time and capacity and thus puts load on the performance.

'Default Risk Limit' tab is not appearing in FTR_CREATE !!!
Hi
I encountered the problem related to Default Risk Limit is not appearing in T.Code: FTR_CREATE while creation of Financial Transaction.
I have done the following activities
1. Activation of Default Risk Limit Check
2. Define Limit Types
3. Activation of Financial Object Integration for Limit Management
4. Define Default Risk Rule
5. Derive Default Risk Control parameters for Money Market Transactions
6. Limit creation in T.Code TBL1) for Business Partner
7. Already created and settled Financial Transaction for the same Business Partner.
8. FTR_EDIT u2013 Edit Financial Transaction
9. FTR_CREATE u2013 Financial Transaction creation
When I try to create (FTR_CREATE) the Financial Transaction I couldnu2019t able to see the Default Risk Limit Tab. Please suggest if I miss any other configuration or else.
Thanks a lot for your valuable advise.Hi Chandra,
You have also raised this issue to SAP support. I am already working on this issue in that message. I hope you wouldn't require this thread here.

Query on SAP IS Banking - SAP Deposits Management/ SAP BCA in ECC 6.0
Dear all,
In SAP Deposits Management in the new platform, we have the node Financial Services both in Easy Access and IMG under which we have the major functionalities like Account and Product Management. However this is unavailable in ECC 6.0. Request you to clarify whether these functions are available in SAP ECC 6.0 under SAP Bank Customer Accounts.
Regards
SubhobrataDear Subhobrata,
to answer your immediate question on Deposits Management, please read my lines below.
Maybe consider posting similar questions only here in this Forum you rightly chose: Industry Solutions General.
Most industry consultants from the banking practice are contributing and posting there.
The straightforward answer to your question is
No, the nodes published for the "banking services from SAP" process platform (Deposits/Account Management, Analytical Banking) are not published again in ECC 6.0.
Installation procedures, components and licenses are completely different.
This is due to different architectural design, IT and banking business requirements.
The node Financial Services is one application platform (the most recent application release is 7.0 on NetWeaver 7.11) that comprises
+ transactional banking with the components for managing, posting to and servicing of current accounts, savings, deposits, loans, collaterals and hierarchies of accounts for purposes of cash & liquidity (cash pools/sweeps) and global limit management
+ analytical banking with the components for managing risk, ALM, analytical (bank-unit-internal) limit and BASELII requirements.
The single-purpose application component of Bank Customer Accounts on ECC does not handle this variety, yet focuses on current and yield account/demand deposits for special-purpose banks/financial institutions.

Best practice for limiting network management to few devices
Hello ,
I have set up a very basic security implementation that is no way realistic, but I just want to experiment and learn...
In my 1801 router that answers DHCP requests on separate wired and wireless vlans, I have bound static IP addresses to the MAC addresses of my laptop wireless and wired interfaces.
Then I set up an ACL to permit inbound traffic from these IPs only for the vty lines.
Obviously this is easily defeated by statically assigning these same IPs to any device on the network, so I was thinking about a better way to limit management of the router to a few devices.
What is the best practice in professional environments?
Thanks.Obviously this is easily defeated by statically assigning these same IPs to any device on the network, so I was thinking about a better way to limit management of the router to a few devices.

Character blinking/flickering/flashing on obiee 11g dashboard page
Hi all,
I have a dashboard with one page/tab where we have taken one text item with below html script. My business requirement is to make a particular word or a text to be blinking or flashing whatever. I have used below options to achieve
1. text-decoration:blink;
2. <blink>my text<\blink> ----this is not supported by IE & mozilla browsers.
but the above options did not work, is there any work around to achieve this. Any pointer would be appreciated.

Hello Experts,
Im trying to save my FX transaction when I encountered the below error.
Limit management was not updated
Message no. K-788
Then when I checked the limit utlization details, i encountered below errors:
Transaction is not valued for the determination procedure specified
Internal basic key figure table is empty
Transaction /sdctemp/, company code B728, object category T4 could not be valued
Can someone help provide inputs on how to fix above error?
Ive already checked my determination procedure and its seems to be configured properly.
Appreciate your advise.Hi,
some causes I could find in customer messages are:
- date is not maintained in the view KLARPOS (limit items for default risk),
- limit is not defined for business partner,
- translation ratios or exchange rates were missing for used currencies,
- (often) if your FX deal is a spot transaction, then only settlement risk will be created, then determination procedure and default risk rule should handle settlement risk,
- (often) there is a shift in spot days, so value date doesn't fit (usually there is a shift of 2 days from the contract date, see customizing),
- etc.
You can find some explanations and double-check customizing using the links below:

None of the derived determination procedures is of category 02
Hi
Small doubt in Limit Management.
I have done most of the configuration. In fact, I tested well in Development without any problem.
When I moved my transport requests and started testing in Quality system, I got problem 'None of the derived determination procedures is of category 02' problem.
If anybody come across this problem previously, can help me easily out
Thanks a lot in advance for your support.
Regards
Rag.Hi Manisha,
This error comes with the difference of the type of the risk default risk rule and determination procedure may handle.
With my previous experiences, I would like to think the following:
1) This is a spot, most probably forex, deal.
2) The default risk definition has settlement risk checked.
3) The determination procedures to which it has been linked are of type credit risk only.
If that is the case, then you need to link a determination procedure of type settlement risk to the default risk rule as well.

Shared photo stream uncontrollably eats space?
With shared photo streams, the consumer (or person shrared too) does not have the ability that I can find to ignore or delete certain photos. Nor can I find a way to set a timelimit for them to disappear/be removed from your iOS devices.
Since you can't just subscribe on one device (if you subscribe, and have photo stream on any device, all devices get the shared streams) how is one supposed to limit/manage the amount of space that shared streams consume?
Looking at my iOS devices, I have a huge amount of "Other" space being consumed when looking using iPhone Explorer, seems to be photo related. My guess is photo streams. Is this a correct assumption? or does photo stream do something intelligent like if they photo hasn't been accessed on X days, delete the local copy?
Is they only way to ask the publisher of the stream to clean up their stuff?
Seems a bit braindead if this is as it appears. Hope to see imporvements with space management in iOS7.

SD material price change should refresh Delivery order.
There was a price change for the material after creation of outbound delivery. a dynamic credit limit management is enabled which blocks the creation of delivery order if there is no sufficient credit available for party. Now after change in prices the delivery order should go to credit block while doing PGI. which is not happeining. At Billing creation the prices gets refreshed and party is billed with new rate. This is creating debit balance in customer account. Kindly suggest solution how to block the PGI in such cases?

Sanjay PetkarHi,
Please check the VOV8 credit group filed configuration. If it is 2 at delivery level. Then only it do credit check at delivery level...

Fetching AR open items and customer's credit limit to Collateral Management
Hi
Is there a badi that you can use to fetch receivables data (open invoices/items and credit limit) from FI-AR to Collateral Management System?
Answer: The badi Get Receivables has to be used
BAPI1010_6 u201ECreditAccountDetail
Other bapi of interest, :
BAPI_AR_ACC_GETOPENITEMS
BAPI_AR_ACC_GETCURRENTBALANCE
Edited by: EI18 on Sep 9, 2011 10:21 PMHi,
Open items check means it will consider all the open items when it is doing credit check. Here it adds all the open items amount and do the credit check..
Oldest open item means it will consider only the oldest open item and based on tht i will do credit check..Here i will check the oldest open item value and its date then do the credit check..
Coming to payment terms check, system is responding correctly.. because payment terms are immed due net. tht means still time is there in the same day. that is the reason it is not blocking the second document.
once move to 2nd day then it means first doc is not cleared tht is the reason it is blocking the 2 nd doc on 2nd doc..
Hope u have understand..

Sankar

MAX can't connect to CompactRIO on remote subnet using NAT
Hello. This is our problem: We have one CompactRIO (NI 9024) and our server PC on different subnets. Between them there is a firewall, which has FTP and 44516 ports open. The firewall performs NAT, so the server doesn't see the "real" IP of the cRIO.
