Limit number of recipients send out external once

Hi all,
I have Exchange server 2013 CU7, I want to limit number of recipients when my users send email to external/internet.
For example:
If my users send email to more than 50 external recipients once, they will receive error "bla bla"
Limitation is not apply when my users send email to internal recipients"
or external sender send email to internal recipients
How can I do it ? (which send connector , receive connector , transport config , transport service , transport server)
Thank for your help.
Jack

Hi Jack,
Thank you for your question.
I agree with Bruce.
I am sorry that we could not meet your requirement that the limit of recipient is just for external/Internet.
When we configure those setting, it will be worked for all recipient(including internal or external). It was referred by the following link:
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb310760%28v=exchg.141%29.aspx
If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.
Best Regard,
Jim

  • HELP! My Office Mail Cannot Send Out Externally!

Hi all, recently I've upgrading/migrating to my new G5 in the office (whopee, finally!) I have transferred all my old data to Mail, settings everything etc, I can send and check email, I can log on to my office intranet and can actually surf the web, the only thing I cannot do is send email EXTERNALLY!!
Help! I have checked and even toggle some settings, e.g. in Mail account, under SMTP, use Authetication/Password etc but still no avail...
Anyone with such similar experience?? Thanks and cheers

Hi, just some updates, I have tried several methods, including the most drastic one by removing out all the Mail folders, data, plist preference files etc, and start Mail anew, creating my office email account from the ground up, and still, I cannot send out email externally - so "proving" my "old" mail data is ok, so I copied them back.
Could it be the SMTP that is causing all these problems?? Our office POP and SMTP settings are in "IP style" numbers addresses, e.g. xx.xxx.x.x
I am trying to get my IT dept to give me a new SMTP, if possible...
Here's another thing I found out when I launch Mail Connection Doctor:
It reported status Green, and Details-Connection and login to server succeeded.
But... Internet Connection Status, RED - Mail was unable to connect to the internet, click the "Assist me..." button for help diagnosing the problem.
When I continue with the diagnostic, it says "Your internet connection appears to be working correctly."
So I guess the office network/intranet has no problem connecting to the internet... but is this affecting Mail's ability to send out email externally??
    Cheers

  • How to limit number of time website appears to once in "most visited"?

Please help. I tried to adjust settings somewhere or tuther and have ended ended up with "Most Visited" list gathering my website visits at 19 to the dozen. Could you please advise how I could set "Most Visited" list so that each visited website will only get listed once?

See the solution to this question, but change the number of max results to the one you want:

  • Is there a limit to number of recipients for an email?

I need to send the same email to about 250 people.
Is there a limit to the number of recipients Mail can handle in the BCC field?
At the moment I can get all the address's from a spreadsheet as Comma separated text.
Will this pasted into the BCC field work?
    Lion 10.7.2     Mail 5.1
    Thanks in advance

You will need to check with your ISP; they may have limitations - mine does in order to cut down on spamming.
Once you find out if/what that limit is, you can simply type and email once, copy the content, enter the addresses, and send out 5 - 10 - or whatever number of emails successively until you've sent it to all 250 people.
I would create a group or at least have all the names/addresses in the Addressbook; that way, you can start typing the first name and Mail will automatically add the email address for that name. And yes, it is good to use BCC for that - send it to yourself and BCC everyone else.

  • Connect two external monitors to mini DP(using a mini DP to VGA adapter) and the VGA out at once

I am trying to  connect two external monitors to mini DP(using a mini DP to VGA adapter) and the VGA out at once. Windows recognize both monitors as well. But it dowsn't let me use all three monitors at once(see the below image). In the dropdown, it lists all three monitors. Problem is there are two active displays I can select.

The GPU(s) in your T400 (and most other laptop brands) will support two different displays concurrently.  If you want to support more than two different displays concurrently, you will need another GPU external to the T400.
Generally, if you want to use two external displays on a T400 you will nee dto use a docking station.
I have read messages on various fora on this topic and know that there are a number of ways of doing this, but as I have never had a need to do this myself I can't tell you how to go about it.

  • Sending E-mail to large number of recipients

    Hi,
Note 598718 describes number of messages that is possible to send pr second if paralell prosessing is used:
"For all SAP technology Releases 6.xx, one of the next Support Packages will deliver a basic change of the SAPconect send job which will provide scalability of the throughput by using several parallel send jobs and/or application servers. This will allow a throughput of approximately 15 messages per second (about 1,000,000 messages per day)."
Does anybody know if this still is the limit (15 pr. second) in CRM 7.0 and if there is a way to improve this number?
    Regards,
    Ronny

I thought about using BCC, but it seems a little messy although it would do the job.
Messy how?  That's exactly what it's for.  In fact, there's no other way to hide addresses from other recipients of the message.  The only other way to do it would be to script automated sending of one message per address, and that would get quite messy!
What is the maximum number of recipients that Mail can handle?
There's no limit enforced by Mail, AFAIK.  The limits come from the SMTP server you're using.
One of the issues I had when using Outlook on Windows for this by copying and pasting from a text document, was that if there was an invalid/non-existent address in the list, it would just return an error and I was never quite sure if the whole thing didn't send, or if it was just to the dodgy address(es).
In Mail, you'll just get a bounce message for any addresses that don't exist.  The one exception to that is addresses on the same server that you're sending from...  often, the server will simply reject the attempt to send to an address that it knows doesn't exist.  I'm not sure what kind of message the server returns in that case, though, and suspect it depends on the server.  It's been a while since I've seen such a problem.

How can I send an email to a large number of recipients that I hold addresses for in a document without a) adding them to my contacts, and b) so that they can't all see each others addresses?

  • Limit to number of HTTPService calls made at once?

    Hello,
I have 5 Cairngorm Events that I am dispatching at the same time(one right after the other  - all of which call a separate HTTP Service. This works fine when I run the application locally however when I deploy my project to a Glassfish server, it only works intermittently, with the app hanging when it doesn't work.
My temporary work around to this is to chain some of the events together so less call are going out at once, but I don't really like this as a viable solution because it slows down performance.
Is there a maximum number of HTTPService requests that Flex can make at once before it hangs?

Actually, that document referes to "Personal File Sharing" - 10 is the limit imposed by Apple for AFP, which is Apple's proprietary protocol.
"Windows Sharing" or SMB is open source, and I don't think there is a limit imposed by the license.
The "tested and theoretical maximums (limits)", for SMB on 10.3 Server puts the limit at 1000 connected users (tested and theoretical - with the caveat that the numbers will be limited based on available resources). Between them, the users would be limited by the "number of open files" (theoretically up to 12288, but tested to 1000). But I don't know for sure what if any differences exist between the SMB versions installed by default in OS X Client vs. Server or if anything has changed with the version installed in 10.4.

  • Unable to send to external email recipients - Multi Tenant Exchange 2013 - MultiRole servers in DAG

Greetings all, I hope someone can help.
I have created a Exchange 2013 multi-tenant organization, with two servers, both multi-role - CAS and Mailbox roles.
Internal mail flow is fine (external email addresses can send to the domain).
External firewall port forwards ports 443 and 25 to the Internal DAG IP address.
There are two multi-role Exchange servers that are members of the DAG.
I am able to connect to OWA and ECP via https://externalIP/OWA and https://alias.domain.com/OWA
No SSL certificates have been purchased or installed yet.
Exchange URLs have not been changed since default configuration at install.
OWA and ECP works both internal and external.
External DNS works with SPF and PTR records correctly configured
Exchange RCA - Send test only fails with one Spam Listing (this Blacklist provider now flags all domains and you cannot ask to be removed)
Send Connectors are the default ones created during install. Receive connector is standard configuration with  - * -
When sending email to an external address, I receive a failure notice
    ServerName.test.corp.int gave this error:
    Unable to relay
Your message wasn't delivered due to a permission or security issue. It may have been rejected by a moderator, the address may only accept email from certain senders, or another restriction may be preventing delivery.
    More Info -
    ServerName.test.corp.int
Remote Server returned '550 5.7.1 Unable to relay'
I have been troubleshooting this for many hours with no progress.
I have created new Send Connectors for the server that is advising that it is unable to relay, but they have all failed.
I have tried setting the Internal IP address for Exhange Server 1 (Exchange Server 2 reports failure), with most combinations of Security (Anonymous, Exchange Users, etc).
I have also tried with the IP range 192.168.11.0/24 to allow the whole the subnet, I still receive the unable to relay failure notice.
I have tried this guide - hxxps://glazenbakje.wordpress.com/2012/12/30/exchange-2013-how-to-configure-an-internal-relay-connector/ - with different combinations, still no resolution.
I am at a loss as to why I can't send out with the default configuration. I would assume that email would flow out without any changes, but this does not happen.
Can someone please assist before I lose my sanity.
    Thanks in advance,
    Terry

Even more info - Further troubleshooting -
I found my one of my Exchange servers had an extra NIC. I have since added a second NIC to the other server, so now both Exchange servers have dual NICs. I removed the DAG cleanly and recreated the DAG from scratch, using this link -
    hxxp://careexchange.in/how-to-create-a-database-availability-group-in-exchange-2013/
The issue still exists, even with a newly created DAG. I also found that the Tenant Address Books were not 'applied'. I applied them but still no resolution
I think the issue is related to multi-tenant configuration even though the error says that it can't relay. The unable to relay message can appear when sending from a domain that the Organization does not support. Like trying to email as [email protected]
when you domain name is apple.com - But through extensive research I still can't resolve the issue.

Ok. You don't have to select your number. Just check your email under your "grey" number and then at the bottom of this page you will see the option "Start new conversations from". Select your number.

I'll add that this can happen when snapshotting is used as a backup method. You can set max endpoints to 32 and still see the issue. Please ensure that you're backing up using the supported PowerShell commands: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh202170.aspx
and not just a snapshot of the VM. If raising max endpoints does not resolve the issue, try backing up with the management shell commands within a recurring scheduled task or try http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/office/Backup-script-for-Lync-2013-aacbb9b9
. Then disable the snapshot ting for your front ends, bounce them one at a time, and ensure the data exports you've made are backed up as flat files.

  • Timed out while sending ... message may be send more than once

    Hi,
I regular have complaints from some clients receiving my emails 10 -15 times in their mailbox.
When checking the maillog I always see : timed out while sending ... message may be send more than once. See below
Problem can happen at any time, even when there is just 1 person connected to the server, so I rule out overload.
95% of mails send arrive without problem.
When looking the dns mx info of these clients I am having problem with, all have multiple (round-robin ?) mx-hosts (eg mx.mailprotect.be).
Is someone else having these problems ?

It means that Cyrus IMAP is not responding or ready to deliver mail (at least temporarily). Most likely reason is that there are too many connections/users.

  • UTL_MAIL.SEND max. number of recipients

    hello,
i would like to know if there is a maximum number of recipients (seperated by comma) I can send an email using the UTL_MAIL.SEND procedure.
I just found the limitation "Maximum total number of recipients that must be buffered is 100 recipients" but I don't know exactly that means.
    thanks for your help

Yes, it does. No, you cannot see it unless you unwrap the UTL_MAIL package. Not a worthwhile exercise as the code is some of the worse PL/SQL code I have had the misfortune to see. There is nothing much to learn from it. And if you need serious SMTP and MIME functionality, you will need to look elsewhere than UTL_MAIL for that.
However - your question relates to SMTP server functionality. How many times can the RCPT TO call be made in succession? That you need to ask your SMTP mail server (via a test, or the mail admin).

  • How do I send out a certain number of pulses

I am using the E-Series DAQ board, and in my programing I have three stages, I need to send out a certain number of pulse depending on the stage selected. For example if stage one is selected 30 pulses will be sent out and thats it. The pulses will be used to move a stepper motor. The stepper motor is a linear stepper so the pulses will be used to move the shaft 1 inch or 3 inches, depending on the stage selected.

It sounds like you want to generate a "Finite Pulse Train". Depending on which programming language you intend to implement this with (LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, Measurement Studio for Visual Basic or C++), we probably already have an example written. From our website at www.ni.com simply search for Finite Pulse Train. You will want to only use examples that have been written for the DAQ-STC chip, which our E-Series DAQ devices leverage.
The finite pulse train examples will show you how to output a finite pulse, of say 30 pulses, as well as configure the frequency and duty cycle.
