Limit of CSR's or UCCE users per CUCM cluster?

Well my math and lack of documentation compete always, so trying to find max number of CSR's one can have, I understand it depends on ucce/ICM environment.
A cucm cluster with 8 subscribers fully loaded hw etc and moderate CSR skill sets and average number of queues:
Some others came up with around 2000 csrs max if we were to poppulate on whole cluster nothig but ucce users or csrs.
Is this limitation because of PG or CTIOS or what? if its due to PG can we have 2 PG's or total of 4 pg's (A and B sides) will this double CSR capacity to 4000?
As you may know capacity of cucm is 30K+ for users and devices.
Thoughts, facts or CCBU advice?
Thanks,
Baseer

If you using CTIOS as your desktop client you can run two PIMs on a CM PG for a max count of 4,000 agents. Unfortunately, if you are using CAD as your desktop client you are limit to a single PIM and I believe an agent count of 1,000 agents. CAD is very dense in relation to CTIOS. Also, if you plan on using a high number of mobile agents you need to count your agents with a heavier load. For CAD, 1 mobile agent translated to 1.7 agent load and CTIOS I believe is 1.3 agent load.
My understanding on the limitiations is with the code in the jtapi interface on the PG. While UCM CTI manager can process a higher agent count the jtapi interface on the PG cannot.
My two cents.

• Can the Portal Activity Report show unique users per page?

Hello all
I guess this is a rather simple question, but can someone tell me if the portal activity report can show a count of unique users per page per week for instance?
Or will it just show which users have visited the page in a list without aggregating them to a number? And if the users are aggregated to a number, is it only uniwue users that are counted for the given period?

• Credit limit of customer should be maintained as per division wise.

Hi All
Here requirement is that The credit limit of customer should be maintained as per division wise.
Means Here there are two divisons Foods and Personal care.
So One Customer will have different credit limit in each division*(Ex Foods it may be 100000 USD and Personal care it may be 20000 USD)
It is possible
Ahmed

Hi Ahmed,
You could consider the following process.
1.Create two different credit control area A and B.
2.XD02->maintain customer master data for sales area of the first division and assign credit control area A on
Billing documen tab
3.XD02->maintain customer master data for sales area of the second division and assign credit control area B on Billing documen tab
4. FD32->maintain different credit master data for the two credit control areas.

• Estimating number of users per instance

hi gurus,
This is a simple but critical question for me. How to estimate number of users per instance.
example if database size is 1.2 terrabytes then how many users can we have? and how can we know the num of users for a exixting instance?
Reddy

Hi Reddy,
Basically it is sizing question, and it depends on the hardware you have, the performance level you expect, and how well the system is tuned...
Transaction ST07 shows how many users are currently on the system.
Thank you,

• How to compute maximum user per AP

Hi Guys,
Im setting up my WLAN, im confused because i dont know how do i compute the maximum user per client per AP. Im using AP 1020 series. For example if i have 20 clients if 802.11b,c,a how's the bandwith is being affected when the number of user is increasing.
Thanks,
Jong

Hi Jong,
Here is a cisco doc that relates to this question;
Q. How many clients can associate to the AP?
A. The AP has the physical capacity to handle 2048 MAC addresses. However, because the AP is a shared medium and acts as a wireless hub, the performance of each user decreases as the number of users increases on an individual AP. Ideally, not more than 24 clients should associate with the AP because the throughput of the AP is reduced with each client that associates to the AP.
From this Q&A doc;

• How many workbooks have been visited by end users per day

Hi SDN's,
How many workbooks have been visited by end user per day.Is there any process to knew... Do we have any T-Codes to knew...
Thanks & Regardz,
Aluri

nope... unless you're in 7.0
the statistics before 7.0 only check queries... workaround would be to have a report on BW statistics filtering on the queries that are in your workbooks... that might give you an "idea", but if there people who run those queries outside of the workbook, it will "affect" your "statistics"

user02 can only see in LMS notifications from devicegroup02

Asking questions and answering by myself feels quite funny but I just wanted to let you guys know
about the answer I found.
The answer is quite easy : ) its a NO ... there is no way for alarms and notifications per user per device.
There is a defect/enhancement open against this:
CSCub59168 RBAC has to be created for Alarms and Faults

• Serve 500 users per minute?

Hi,
Currently I'm looking for a solution to provide a high
performing Flash Video player. This should be a streaming video
solution to serve about 500 users per minute.
Can anybody tell me if this is possible with Flash Media
Interactive Server or Streaming Server?
Next to that, clustering... as far as I know now, the
Interactive Server is the product that can do this and it's called
origin/edge. Is this correct?
Hopefully you can help me
Thanks in advance!
E.!

If I were you, Flash Media Interactive Server is what I would
have gone for, the reason it is scalable(it supports clustering) to
meet or exceed the 500 users /minute requirement. FMSS doesn't
support clustering.
Edge/origin is the typical way to scale up FMS for Live as
well as VOD usage.
However, for live stream distribution, there is another great
feature of FMS i.e. multipoint publish; which lets one FMS to
distribute its live stream to many FMS. I believe, It's worth a
try.
I hope this helps.

Hi SDN's,
How many workbooks have been visited by end user per day.Is there any process to knew...
Thanks & Regardz,
Aluri

Hi Aluri,
Statistics are usually not available on workbooks. You can find out how many time a user calls up a particular query (which can be accessed by various workbooks). Because workbooks themseleves do not call up data from the infoproviders.
You can tell how many times a user has accessed a query by looking at the Statistical queries and objects. Try the following two there is a list of other queries in help that you can go through also:

• Upgrade UCCE 7.5, CUCM 7.1, CVP 7.0.2 to latest version

Hi,
We have UCCE 7.5, CUCM 7.1 and CVP 7.02 version and we want to upgrade to the 8.X or latest version but we have no ESW and UCCS contact.
How we can upgrade our all application to the latest version. what License or conatct need to purchase from Cisco.
Please help me in this regards.
Thanks & Regards,
Muzammel

We have UCCE 7.5, CUCM 7.1 and CVP 7.02 version and we want to upgrade to the 8.X or latest version but we have no ESW and UCCS contact.
How did this pass through A2Q? They would have checked the BOM to ensure UCSS was purchased for the software at the time of deployment.
If you only bought 1 year UCSS and let it expire, Cisco require that UCSS be purchased for the missing years. Then the customer is entitled to the upgrades.

• How to Programmatically Set the limit (max, min input) of a control inside a cluster?

I want to programmatically set the limit (max, min input) of a control inside a cluster. (see attached VI).
The max, min value will be read from a file. The input of the control must be within the range defined by the max and min value.
Can anyone tell me how to do it?
Thanks a lot for your kind help.
Xiaogang

Accessing the properties of a cluster (or array) is not a trivial operation until you have done it once. It's a two step (at least) process : first, ask for a reference (array of...) to the objects contained in the cluster, then tell LV what kind of object you are adressing.

• Impossible to create LDAP SYNC user on CUCM with Prime Collab Provisioning

Hello,
Previously, I use Prime Provisionning to create and provision services for static users, it works.
For the same Customer, CUCM and Unity user are now imported from LDAP.
I add the changes in Provisioning processors (LDAP Auth + Sync).
At this time, it's impossible to create new users on CUCM from Provisioning !
Here is my procedure :
- I do a LDAP sync on prime to detect my new AD user.
- I select it and provision services to push on CUCM
- Orders stuck in being provisioned state...
On the CUCM, the user doesn't appear at all.
Is something wrong in my method ?
Do I need to make a LDAP sync on the CUCM to import users, next user synchro on processor in Prime, then edit user ?
Thanks

Clement,
I suspect you have LDAP sync turned on in CUCM. If CUCM is set to sync and does not already have the userID in it's database it will reject a user add.
This is a recognized problem with having both products set to sync. There are some solutions:
Always sync CUCM before you sync Prime Collaboration Provisioning (PCP). This way the new user will already be in CUCM and then will accept a provisioning order from PCP. The frequency of LDAP sync on CUCM will determine how often PCP can push new users to CUCM.
If PCP tries to provision a user but it is rejected by CUCM, provisioning will attempt to send it for 24 hours. There is an assumption that CUCM will sync daily so at some point CUCM will get the userID and then when PCP tries to provision, it will be accepted.
Use the latest CUCM 10.5(x) with a patch that provides the Authenticate Only setting setting. You will have to check with TAC or CUCM Marketing/TMEs for more information. In this case, CUCM will authenticate admins and Jabber clients against AD, but will take users from PCP immediately. The CUCM eng/marketing team has recommended we move away from syncing CUCM when PCP is doing the syncing from AD. CUCM does not need to sync when PCP is present. This eliminates the race condition between which app synced first.
