Limit on length of video?

i have downloaded several short 5 minute videos to my ipod and itunes but now i just tried downloading a movie running 1hr 18min. but it wont even let me open this in itunes. its not a dvd i downloaded this movie from the internet and already made it an MP4 so it would be playable. so is there a certain limit on how long the video can be or is this just a bad video or something because i think it would be able to open in itunes anyways.

Has anyone seen a performance difference when viewing a video when the iPod is plugged into a computer/charger versus on the battery alone? I've had some stuttering of the video and then losing audio when I've played movies on the battery alone. However, when the a movie was played with it running off a charger, there were no issues.

One other thing I found... It was still doing the spinning clock and locking up, but it took a while after boot for the problem to crop up.
I pulled the media card and found that there was a media sync folder under Blackberry\System that had some files in there that were pretty big. The artwork file was over 150MB and some other files were largish.
I deleted the entire media sync folder and now it seems to be behaving itself. No more spinning clock and it seems to be slowly returning to normal. (Besides all the messages it deleted during the whole process)
If anyone else runs into this I would say you should clean the folder off the media card along with disabling the sync. Seems the BB still reads that folder and processes it if present.

I made a sellection of video clips > pressed on "share" > on iDVD > after one hour of formating the message was under "project duration" : "Your project exceeds the maximum content duration. To burn your DVD, change the encoder setting in the Project Info window."
I have edited out some of the clips and waited anothe hour or so bu the same message appeared !
I want to know in advance how long can be the video clip sellection for the quality of video chosen ( the best before HD).
please help if ou can.

Short version:
Best Performance is for videos of up to 60 minutes
Best Quality is for videos of up to 120 minutes
Professional Quality is also for up to 120 minutes but even higher quality (and takes much longer)
That was for single-layer DVDs. Double these numbers for dual-layer DVDs.
Professional Quality: The Professional Quality option uses advanced technology to encode your video, resulting in the best quality of video possible on your burned DVD. You can select this option regardless of your project’s duration (up to 2 hours of video for a single-layer disc and 4 hours for a double-layer disc). Because Professional Quality encoding is time-consuming (requiring about twice as much time to encode a project as the High Quality option, for example) choose it only if you are not concerned about the time taken.
In both cases the maximum length includes titles, transitions and effects etc. Allow about 15 minutes for these.
You can use the amount of video in your project as a rough determination of which method to choose. If your project has an hour or less of video (for a single-layer disc), choose Best Performance. If it has between 1 and 2 hours of video (for a single-layer disc), choose High Quality. If you want the best possible encoding quality for projects that are up to 2 hours (for a single-layer disc), choose Professional Quality. This option takes about twice as long as the High Quality option, so select it only if time is not an issue for you.
Use the Capacity meter in the Project Info window (choose Project > Project Info) to determine how many minutes of video your project contains.
NOTE: With the Best Performance setting, you can turn background encoding off by choosing Advanced > “Encode in Background.” The checkmark is removed to show it’s no longer selected. Turning off background encoding can help performance if your system seems sluggish.
And whilst checking these settings in iDVD Preferences, make sure that the settings for NTSC/PAL and DV/DV Widescreen are also what you want.

How to limit the length of editable text in CL_GUI_TEXTEDIT ?

I have used an instance of CL_GUI_TEXTEDIT on a container. But I want to limit the length of text that can be entered in the text edit ? The method LIMIT_TEXT is protected so I can not call it in the abap source code.
Is there any other way to limit the length of text in Text Edit Control ?

Hi,
Protected methods are essentially for inherited classes only. To access a protected method, inherit a class from this class and then create and instance of the child class and then using the instance object, call the protected method.

Size limit for how much video can be included in an AIR file?

I'm making an AIR app to play a video locally. It is on a PC with no internet connection, so the video (fv4) is included with the air install file. Is there a size limit for how much video can be included in an AIR file? I seem to get the "...file is damaged..." error when I include a video over 200mb. I use Flash CS4 to create and AIR is v 1.53.

I'm authoring in CS4 on a MAC with the latest OS and 4GB ram. It plays fine on the Mac. On a WIN7 PC with all updates and 4GB ram I get the errors if the air file that contains a video file over 200mb. I heard that AIR 2 should solve the issue and that it is just a PC issue.. Maybe... I have not tried using ADT to package the file.

I'm using imovie 8.0.6. The timestamp is always off by length of video. Any ideas how to fix?

My job requires a correct timestamp. However the timestamp in imovie does not match that off my Sony DCR-SX45. For example: If I start filming at 10:00 and film for 5 minutes it should show up in imovie as a video clip that runs from 10:00 - 10:05. However, after it's imported imovie shows a start time of 10:05. This means it ends up indicating that the video runs from 10:05 - 10:10. Some of my videos can be almost an hour in length and this is a major issue. The timing is always off by whatever the length of video happens to be. Aside from manually fixing this for each and every video clip are there any ways to fix this? I have tried other cameras such as Canon and this creates a different issue regarding timestamp and seems to be related to time zones. Oddly enough the minutes are correct, but the hours are way off. Even though I am in the Atlantic time zone I have to set up the system as though I was in Portugal. My main concern, at this time, is trying to fix the issue with my Sony. Is there a setting that I can fix that will make the imported videos have a timestamp that actually starts at the moment that the camera began recording? Any help whould be greatly appreciated.

iMovie can not read from Dropbox.
Copy the file via web-browser action to your local hard-drive, use it in iM from there.

Limit string-length in Reporting Data Source

we want to report some attributes to the BI. For this we use the standard reporting activity in the BPM. After we done a lot of configuration on the CE and the BI we achieved to connect the two systems. All attributes are passed correctly to the BI and now we have a problem with the string-length we pass to the BI. The string-length they get from the CE is 512 but the BI can only handle strings with a 60-length. Is it possible to limit the length of a string in the BPM or the CE?

I have created reporting data source in my BPM where my parameter defined is of type "STRING'.
This data source is accessed by BW system for reporting purpose where they get an error as below -
"STRING/XTRING types used Not supported by currently selected access method UDCGEN; cannot use this method"
Looks like BW does not support string type, how can we make this datatype compatible?
Please share if you have any idea.

Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Account (in the Contacts section), set this to iCloud.

Maximum length of video

I have an iPhone 5, and was wondering how long of uninterupted video the device will record. I know it is based on the free space available, but some "non-traditional" video recording devices (like my DSLR) will record only up to 10 minutes, before shutting off automatically, and I didn't know if the iPhone 5 opperates that way.
I've tried researching in the communities, and tried finding the info on the technical page, but I haven't found the info yet.

I think the issue is more with the ISP. It's not as much about length as it is file size. Of course the longer the video, the larger the file size. Comcast for example has a 10 MB limit for attachments. If you have other email accounts on your iPhone such as gmail or mobileme, you could try sending your video from those accounts on the iPhone. I think gmail has a 20 MB limit, not sure about MobileMe.

Actually I have this requirement for MAC OS 10.5. With the code you provided, I got the output as "6289375". When I changed the URL to point to my file (file:///Users/VPKVL/Desktop/MyRecord/tempAudio.wav), I am getting the below mentioned Exception:

Yes, you have to create new simple type for this purposes. And you have to define <b>Maximum length</b> property for this type.

On my form i do not have so much space therefore i want to show only "Mo" (first to characters).

Objects (Tab) -> Field (tab) -> there is a check box 'Limit Length' . check that box and enter 2 in the box 'Max Chars:'.

Why Does My Mp3 Audio Behind Video Clip Cut To Length Of Video Clip?

Ok. So I am trying to put together a music video using iMovie 11, and am having the hardest time getting started. I put my selected video clip up on the dashboard to get ready to cut as well as edit the footage. When i put the Mp3(Song) on the dashboard it automatically cuts to the length of the amount of video footage that is on the dashboard at that time. I have tried to lengthen the duration of the mp3 using the settings feature given on the audio clip, but it automatically jumps back to the duration of the amount of video clip. Ultimately I am trying to lengthen my duration, and have my mp3 the full length of the song to stay for the whole project, which gives me room and a real chance to work with my clips. I figure that it is something very conspicuous that I am missing. I'm sure it is just a minor issue, and would love if somebody could help assist me with this problem. Please, and thank you your time is much appreciated.

It sounds like you’re trying to add an audio track to your iMovie project but you’re running into an issue adjusting the length of the track. If you haven't already, try making audio waveforms visible in the Project browser as shown in the article linked below.
iMovie '11: Set the beginning and end of a sound or music clip
Using audio waveforms:
With audio waveforms visible in the Project browser, you can modify aspects of all the sound elements in your project in the same window. This feature is especially useful if you have many changes to make to your project’s audio.
These instructions apply to modifying the startpoints and endpoints of audio you’ve added to your project, or audio you’ve detached from video. These instructions don’t apply to modifying the audio recorded with, and still attached to, your video, or to modifying background music you’ve added.
With your project open, click the Audio Waveform button below the Project browser.
Waveforms for each of the sound elements in your project appear in green, blue, or purple bands below the video clips. Blue waveforms represent the sound that was recorded with your video. Green waveforms represent sounds and music you’ve added to your project. Purple waveforms represent voiceovers or audio that was detached from a video clip. Names appear in the top-left corner of each green or purple waveform to make it easy to identify them.
Select the sound clip you want to trim by clicking its name at the top of its waveform; the clip becomes outlined in yellow.
Move your pointer over either end of the clip so that it turns into a resize pointer (if the clip has a jagged edge, it means the clip is split onto two lines), and then do one or both of the following:
To set where the sound clip starts playing, drag its left edge to the right or left.
To set where the sound clip stops playing, drag its right edge to the right or left.

Display movie length in Videos?

Is it possible to do this? it works for music videos and TV shows, but for some reason Movies doesnt display the length.

Which screen is the Main Entry Screen?
It doesn't display on the listings or in the movie details:

I know about being able to see the time within the movie (when playing it) but is that the only place it's visible?
