Limit ranges on Web Dynpro Business Graphics

I am implementing a "speedometer" graphic in Web Dynpro (using the Business Graphic control). Does anyone know how to set it so that it would always show the same max and min values regardless of the data passed in. (i.e. if my data is 20, 30, and 40, the total range displayed might be from 10 to 50. What if I want it to always show 0 to 100?)

Never mind. Found the answer.
In the Chart Designer, go to Axis, set the Minimum and Maximum values and de-select "Minimum Automatic" and "Maximum Automatic."

Business Graphics with Web Dynpro?

Hello @ all,
I have got a question about displaying dashboards and other charts on mobile devices using SAP Technology.
1) Does someone know, when it will become possible to display BusinessGraphics in Mobile Devices like BlackBerry, Pocket PC a.s.o buildt with Web Dynpro?
2) Which Technology can I use instead of Web Dynpro? Does it make sense to use HTMLB or should we use non SAP Products like "JFree Chart" for J2EE applications specially buildt for Mobile Devices?

You can use Business Graphics with Web Dynpro with version NWDS 2.0(we are in was 6.40)and could be displayed on mobile devices.We use Symbol devices.I am not sure abt Blackberry.Is that your question? OR Are you looking for some alternate solution to WebDynpro.Is that because you have some limitations in running your WD applications in mobile devices?Just trying to understand......

Modification of ABAP Web DynPro iViews delivered via Business Packages

Hello Everyone,
If this has been answered before, I apologize.
Is there any 'supported' way ( or 'unsupported' ) to modify the out of the box ABAP WebDynPro iViews which are delivered via some of the new Business Packages for ECC 6.0?
For example, I want to hide some fields on the 'Create Order' iView delivered in the Business Package for Internal Sale Representative..

These Business Packages are just iView definitions that point to normal Web Dynpro ABAP components/applications that reside on the backend ABAP system. They can be enhnaced like any other WDA application.

Calling session bean's business method through web dynpro component

Hi All,
Can anybody tell me how to call a session bean's methods through a web dynpro WITHOUT java-model or web service model ??
I have following scenario:-
1. Stateless Session bean having two business methods
2. Web Dynpro component
3.Now i want to call business methods without using any model. I have got following piece of code but I dont know how to go about it.
4.Where do i have to set JNDI name for session bean? which interface will be looked for?
5. Do I have to declare public part for EJB DC? If yes, how?

If I comment out the part that is using session bean's business method, DC is building fine.
And if I uncomment, then compiler is unabl eto resolve business method(s).
And i would like to mention that my EJB + J2EE App DC is building properly, but it havent yet deployed properly as I am waiting for data-source-alias name prefix to be configured by ERP team. So will this be a reason why Web Dynpro DC is not able to resolve business methods ??
Because Web Dynpro DC is able to resolved all interfaces of Session bean and entity bean. But when it comes to business method, its not able to resolve.
Any more ideas why it is not happening?
Pls help.
Now i went through some forum posts regarding this and found that we also need to add EJB DC to Java Build Path for WebDynproDC>Properties>Java Build Path.
I did this and now it is able to resolve business methods and DTOs as well. So to summarize I did following:-
1. Added EJB DC (complete DC) as a Used DC to Web Dynpro DC with Buid-n-Deploy-n-Run time dependency
2. Added Sharing reference of J2EE application DC to Web Dynpro DC -->Properties
This reference I constructed as follows:-
<vendorname>/<name of j2ee application as appearing under display name tag in application.xml (replacing '/' with '~')>
So my Sharing Reference becomes:- <vendorname>/reqpstapscreqpstapja_reqid
3. Added EJB DC to Java Build Path in Web Dynpro DC's properties
4. Then I added following piece of code to get object of SessionBean class
InitialContext context = new InitialContext();

The build fails saying it is not able find the package for DTOs. But when I see the Component Controller's code it is not showing any red or yellow marks.

ESS BP is a portal content (runs only on portal runtime) which can only be deployed and run on SAP J2EE server (So it is java based).

From EHP2 for ECC 6.0, you have an option choose ABAP WebDynpro for Travel related services. However, the portal content (iViews) is still on SAP J2EE server.

Graphics rendering problem in web dynpro

Hi all,
I have a problem using BusinessGraphics in my web dynpro application. I got the "Graphics Rendering Problem". Reading some foruns, Ive read in some thread that I have to have 5 files under my igs/conf folder of SAP installation, but I have only 2 (gwfchart.tpl and xmlchart.tpl).
One proposed solution is to apply one patch to my igs server.
My question is....
- How do I dowload the patches ? From where ? I couldnt find a download link.

I think you should check this first before you upgrade your IGS installation. Note <a href="http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/931900">931900</a> shows you how to find out the IGS patchlevel. Then you see if your IGS is running (correct) and maybe an upgrade is needed also.

Create a Simple Type (Local Dictonary -> DataTypes -> SimpleTypes). Enter either Length constraints / value constraints in the simple type. Bind this simple type to the context attribute. Whenever you are performing an action framework generated error message will be displayed based on the constraints you designed in simple type.

CRM2007 How to add a Web Dynpro ABAP application to a CRM business role

I am investigating CRM2007 UI framework and I cannot seem to find a way to add a custom made Web Dynpro ABAP Application (created in CRM 4.0) to a business role, or how to add a custom transaction created in classic ABAP (transaction created via se93, progam created via se38). Whatever I do, I only see BSP components. I am using transaction BSP_WD_CMPWB.
Next to this it seems you can add/integrate Visual Composer applications to (there is an entry in spro called "integration of the visual composer in BI"). However, I presume we first have to meet the requirements for the portal integration in SAP CRM 2007 as described in spro. If somebody knows how this works, that would be great!

Hello Angelique,
It should be possible to call web dynpro applications from the L-shape menu of CRM UI (check transaction CRMC_UI_NBLINKS). As for the old GUI transactions, you can embedd them also via transaction launcher using CRMC_UI_NBLINKS (search for "transaction launcher" in this forum, there is plenty of information on it).

ESS Business Package based on Web Dynpro

Hi experts,
I'd like to know which user interface has the Business Package for ESS based on Web Dynpro. The latest one.
How do I see the SAP Backend content in my Portal? Like Web Dynpro applications?
In other BP's for ESS in Portal you see the Backend transaction and its not so nice. Is this different with this version?
If this new BP is based in Web Dynpro, the communication with the backend system should be via Bapi, shouldn't it?
Any information, link or document is welcome.
