Limit size of item uploaded

hi!
1. how can i limit the size of the item being uploaded?
2. can i set the folder size just like content area quota?
thx in advance.

The original poster has a valid point.  Facebooks terms of service changes makes it possible to upload images at resolutions (currently 2048 on longest side--if you print at 200dpi that's a 10in photo) that are well beyond "here are some cool web-sized snapshots" to share friends and family.  If I take a photo of a superbowl winning touchtown catch (however unlikely that might be), that photo has commercial value.  If that image ends up "in the wild" on Facebook/etc... at print resolution, there's little chance I'll get paid for it.  The current Aperture interface gives you no indication of how it treats images when publishing to Facebook.  And frankly, even if Facebook lets you set preferences that cap how large they display the images you upload, I'd might prefer not to send them high resolution versions by default.
A max height/width option in  Apertures Facebook preferences tab (maybe with the option to override the default per Facebook album) would be a valuable addition to Aperture.

  • Reducing MP4 File Size for online upload

I have a short HD video almost 1 GB in size (impossible to upload online). Is there an easy way to reduce the file size using IMovie or another program that I don't have to go out and buy?

I don't think you'll have too much success with this. Mpegs are already compressed files, so there's no real benefit to trying for further reduction. In some cases using compression software will make the resulting file larger than the original.
There are utilities that can be used to slice up a file into smaller parts that can then be reassembled. For example, Movie Cutter, SplitFuse, Split&Concat, MacAppStuff Pieces are a few. Look for them at VersionTracker or MacUpdate. Stuffit Deluxe is a commercial product that includes the ability to split and join multiple pieces of a file archive and has the benefit of being available on both Macs and PCs.
You can then split a large file into several smaller files to send via email or to upload to file server sites. Of course the recipient will need a compatible utility to join the pieces.

  • AP/AR Open Item upload

    Hi,
For AR/AP Open item upload am using the standard/Direct input - program 'RFBIBL00'.
I have a problem while trying to do the 'field mapping and conversion rules' step.Which field in SAP should be mapped to the Vendor number or Customer number in the legacy system data?
    Please advice.
    Regards,
    Sophia Xavier

    Hi
If you are asking about the field name of Vendor Number and Customer Number then it is LIFNR and KUNNR respectively. While uploading these 2 field names should be mapped.
Plz assign points if it is helpful to you.

  • ALBPM 6.0 : The maximum size for file uploads has been exceeded.

    Hi,
I use AquaLogic BPM Entreprise server to deploy my Process. When I try to publish a process on my server I get the following error:
    An unexpected error ocurred.
    The error's technical description is:
    "javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: null"
    Possible causes are:
The maximum size for file uploads has been exceeded.
If you are trying to publish an exported project you should publish it using the remote project option.
If you are trying to upload the participant's photo you should choose a smaller one.
An internal error has ocurred, please contact support attaching this page's source code.
    Has someone resolve it?
    Thank's.

    Hi,
Sure you've figured this out by now, but when you get the "Maximum size for file uploads" error during publish consider:
    1. if your export project file is over 10mb, use "Remote Project" (instead of "Exported Project") as the publication source. That way when you select the remote project, you will point to ".fpr" directory of the project you are trying to publish.
Most times your project is not on a network drive that the server has access to. If this is the case, upload the .exp file to the machine where the Process Administrator is running, then expand it in any directory (just unzip the file). Then, from the Process Administrator, use the option to publish a Remote Project by entering the path to the .fpr directory you just created when unzipping the project.
    2. Check to see if you have cataloged any jars and marked them as non-versionable. Most of the times the project size is big just because of the external jar files. So as a best practice, when you do a project export select the option "include only-versionable jars", that will get reduce the project size considerably (usually to Kb's). Of course you have to manually copy the Jar files to your Ext folder.

  • In DeskI, what's the maximum for "Limit size of long text objects"? 2000?

In Universe Designer, we have a setting which is "Limit size of long text objects", it can control how many characters can be displayed for long text objects.
The problem is that in DeskI, we can only display 2000 characters even we set 2500 or more in Universe Designer by "Limit size of long text objects". But if we use the same Universe & same Database, WebI can show 2500 or more characters for long text objects.
So does it mean in DeskI the maximum value for "Limit size of long text objects" is 2000?

    Hi Jason,
Check that the object in the universe is set to data type "long text".
Also check that the object itself is not limiting the length of the string, as well as that the entire string is actually in the database... the data type here could also be the issue.
    Hope this helps

  • Limit size (in byte) of SELECT-OPTIONS in WHERE clauses

    hi,
as far as I know there is a limit size (in byte) for SELECT-OPTIONS used in WHERE clauses. Is it true? What is the limit? If the SELECT-OPTIONS is based on lifnr (character type, 10 long) is the following calculation valid?
    sign - 1 byte
    option - 2 bytes
    low - 10 bytes
    high - 10 bytes
23 bytes all together for one line, is this valid?

  • PIM Item upload - Item Organization assignment access privilege issue

After doing my analysis and scanning through Oracle Support website, I am posting this question here.
Scenario: Item 100 was created in org X by user A using PIM Item Upload. Now, a user B is trying to create the same item in org Y and getting the error INV_IOI_ITEM_ORGASSIGN_PRIV. If the same user A tries to create the item in org Y, it works fine without any issue.
I have checked that the ICC definition (Development Manager -> Setup -> Setup Workbench) has all users added under the People tab.
I am sure I am missing a basic step here that will allow a user B to create an item 100 created by a user A in org X in a different org B. Please advise.
    Edited by: 881114 on Nov 8, 2012 6:56 AM

    Sir,
For this program the two value sets used are
    INV_ITEMASSIGN_HIER_ORIGIN (this is C1 for u)
INV_ITEMASSIGN_HIER_WITH_SRC (this is not showing the expected value) this is dependent value sent and is checking that INV_ORGHIERARCHY_PVT is contained in the previous value set.
Can you please confirm that the responsibility from which you are running the request has the C2 organization access?
    Thanks

  • Max file size for Portal Upload

    Hi,
Our portal is EP6 SP2 Patch 5. Our users try to upload 200 MB document and it is failing. Any one of you know what is the limiatation of the size.??
Any help would be a great help.
    Ravi

I don't know what the limit is but for files that size it is probably better to try and use webdav.  Go into details of the folder you want to upload to, then propeties and one of the properties is access links.  One of those is a webdav link.  Copy that.  Then in Windows explorer, choose map network drive -> web folder and put that url in.  You will have to logon using portal uid / password but then the portal folder will appear in my network places so you can jsut copy it in that way.  I've copied loads of files in that way.

  • Limit on setting items when branching?

I am trying to carry values over to the next page when branching by using the 'set these items' and 'with these values' fields in the Branch Action section. Once I insert over 15 items, I get the following error:
ora-06502: pl/sql: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small.
Is there a limit on the number of values that can be carried over through the branch?

    Greetings colleagues!
My message is not an answer to the above-referenced topic/subject. I want to bring in some more substance and see how our friends at Oracle Support--or other colleagues, can address them.
But first let me thank Oracle support for the answer to my recent posting! Regrettably, that didn't much address my question fully. Maybe, I wasn't just more clear.
I agree--please bear with me-with you that there might be limitations and there. Not only on this item, but to many other. These are all inherent to a new technology. I will try T list some, and suggest improvement whenever possible. Let's call these "improvement opportunities" instead of limitations/bugs.
(1). My previous question. We are dealing with a relational database, and our requirements, I dare suspect, might be more than O HTML DB CAN, actually deliver? Suppose, again, I have 4 tables. PRODUCTS, VENDORS, PRESENTATIONS, PRESENTERS. Why these last 2 tables? Before any technology enters our corporate IS environment, it must be approved. It goes through a strict technology acquisition process. Vendors that are selected, say for the bid, must do presentations. At the end, the Technology Committee will make a decision (after doing a Technical Proof of Concept (TPOC).
Now, we want to be able to list presenters and presentations for each product (whenever available). There are more than 1 presentation for a given product and there also situations where you have more than 1 presenters for a presentation.
Can you generate this using a tabular form? I double. I tried, using the Wizard. You can only select 1 table when building this tabular form. However, you can get the SQL script using the SQL Command processor.
(2). The dilemma: We want reports for presenters and presentations o be displayed on separate pages. Here is where it gets more tricky, maybe because I just stated with O HTML DB 2 months ago.
My SUGGESTION to Oracle Developers: Can you make it possible to decide, when creating a region, to display it on a different page other than the one on which you generate the, say the report script? I think that depending on redirection creates confusion, and makes the tool less user-friendly. When you allow a developer to decide, at time of region creation to display the report on this page, or another page, you really create user-friendliness and increase application maintainability.
(3). Buttons: Why has Oracle re-invented the wheel here? Is it possible, in the next release, to make it possible to have graphic insertion icons within a region (just like most tools we are used to do? This would save us a significant amount of time. Having to upload graphics 1 at a time, then include these in the app is time consuming (especially if one has many graphics).
(4). How Tos: I do sincerely commend you guys on a fantastic job. However, we all (developers and Oracle Support team/Developers) must admit that the tool is still immature and there are many improvement opportunities. May I ask why is it that I crete a region now, code an SQL script. Everything works now. I backup the application. The next day, however, when I access the same app, what worked yesterday fails to work now! This has happened many times and it is pretty frustrating.
The best books are those that provide good examples, but also show the result of each code (for instance). Many people learn faster when they look at a code, then see the result. Reading text like a history book, in the development context is taste-assassination.
Do other experience this instability? If so, could you please share with me what you do? I suspect an application level "bug.
Again, I know the product is new and really commend Oracle's team for a fantastic job.
Tanks so very much in anticipation!
    Erick

  • Can you limit e-mail items on iPhone with iOS 7?

Prior to iOS 7, there was a setting to limit the quantity of e-mail items that would upload to the phone (ie, 50 per account).  It seems with iOS 7, that setting is no longer an option, or at least I can't seem to find it.  Does anyone know if such a setting is still in iOS 7?  Thx in advance...

  • Mis match in attributes of item category B-limit and PO item details

    Hi
I could not able to create a Blanket PO with document type FO and item category B (limit).
Normally for a blanket PO, GR is not allowed and IR is mandatory. So, I could able to see these checkboxes for GR (not set and grayed) and IR (set and grayed) in the item details of the PO in delivery and invoice tabs. But I end with an error message that 'GR is not set is used is not allowed' (exactly i don't remember but some thing like that)
Before creating a blanket PO,  I found that in 'attributes of item categories', that for the item category B, GR is set and IR is not set (in customizing-OMH4). Of course, one cannot change the attributes of item categories.
I suppose due to this mis-match in the attributes of item categories and that in the PO, I'm getting an error message while creating a blanket PO and could not able to save.
Also I have checked all the system messages for the message displayed. No where(i.e. in any message class or category and for that message number) I found any such message defined with error in 'attributes of system messages' for purchasing, material master, inventory, invoice verification etc.
I suppose this error message is coming somewhere from the application program for the PO.
So, what can be the solution
    waiting for your reply.
    thank you

Thank you for your answer. I haven't mention this point in my thread but I have already tried this.
I have tried matching the GR and IR controls of account assignment category with PO GR, IR controls and also with item category B, GR, IR controls. Still i am getting the same error and could not able to save the PO
Also I have checked the field settings for PO for all categories like transaction relevant, item category relevant, etc in customizing.
Main problem is both GR and IR controls are being grayed in PO. Other wise I could able to change them as per my wish and could able to avoid the error even though the GR and IR controls in PO are correct as per the process requirement.
If possible, please check the GR and IR controls for item category B (in my system it showing that GR is set with binding and IR is not set with binding). But it should be reverse as per the process requirements and in limit PO it is showing correctly. i.e. with GR is not set with binding and IR is set with binding.
    thank you

  • Credit Management - Maximum time overdue limit for open item

    Dear all,
I've this scenario to configure for automatic credit control. A customer is billed on Jan 22nd '10 and now the account receiveable shows an open item. This customer is allowed 52 calendar days to make payment for this invoice, hence no credit block yet. As such, the customer can still make orders.
In my existing configuration, I've already enable "static" credit check on "open orders" and "open deliveries". The static check is to check against the customer's credit limit.
So, if I were to add in the earlier mentioned overdue open items check, is it sufficient to just maintain the field "Days oldestItem" with "52" within the automatic credit control screen?
    Thanks.
    Steven

    Hi
The sytstem will shows oldest open items depending on the payment terms from the invoice date.
Once it crosses the days of payment then it will show in oldest open items
if you want to extend some more days for that then you need to maintain the days in "Days oldestitem" the automatic credit control area
Prerequisites for credit management to work in Sales and Distribution:
1.Assign credit control area to company code
2.Maintain the credit limit in FD32 with details of risk category and the credit limit value
3.Do the settings in OVA8 -automatic credit control area with combination of Credit control area/Risk category /credit group.
4.Assign the credit groups to the sales and delivery document types.
5.Maintain the Subtotal 'A' in the pricing procedure against which value the sytem should check the credit limit.
If you have any further clarifications on above let me know
    Regards
