Limitations in lightroom trial version

Perhaps a dumb question, but I just downloaded the LR trial version. I do not see the "File Renaming" menu in the Import module.  I'm watching a tutorial (from Adobe) that is talking about this, but I don't see it.  Is it disabled in the trial version?

The trial version is the same as the purchased version.  Only difference is that the Trial expires in 30 days.  The rename feature during import is only available for "Copy" or "Copy as DNG".  It is not available for "Move" or "Add".

  • Two questions about possible limitations in the Trial version

    1) I'm unable to format Date and Time using the Inspector/Table/Format option - is this because I'm using the Trial Version?
The thing I'm trying to do is lose the day of the week in the default, so instead of "Sunday, August 26, 2007" it would read "August 26, 2007".
Can I do this in the full registered version?
    2) I'm unable to change the top margin of a document in the trial version. I've gone into File/Page Setup/Paper Size/Manage custom sizes and changed the margins to no avail. It prints out exactly as it did before I made the changes. Is this also a limitation of the trial version that works fine in the full version?

    Hi Walt:
    Thanks for the quick reply.
Re: the date format, I know I can change it manually by control-click, but I was trying to change the default, so that it always gives me "Month Date, Year", instead of "Day of week, Month Date, Year". My problem with the "Automatically Update on Open" option is that yes, it will give me what I want when I CREATE a new document, but anytime I open an old document to read it, it will change the date from the date it was created to the date it was re-opened.
Is there ANY way I can insert date and get the format I want each time without having to manually change it?
As for the top margin, thanks. I see that the only way to change a document's margins is by going into the Inspector and changing them under "Document Margins". I was changing them under File/Page Setup, and drilling down to Printer Margins. Since that didn't seem to change anything ... what are Printer Margins and what does changing them actually do (since I couldn't tell any difference when I changed them)?

  • Can I install presets on the Lightroom trial version?

Can I install and use presets on the Lightroom trial version?

Yes. The trial version is the full version of Lightroom, and it is fully functional for the 30 day trial period.

  • Lightroom trial version, windows

cannot install lightroom trial version on windows vista laptop,  the exe program does not run.

Lightroom does require 64-bit support.  Your processor does support this but you will want to see if your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit.  If it is 32-bit then you will need to install a 64-bit version in order to utilize Adobe Lightroom.
You can find the system requirements for Photoshop Lightroom at http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-lightroom/tech-specs.html.

  • Lightroom Trial Version Not Importing TIFFs

This morning I installed the 30 day trial version of Lightroom. If I import a folder of mixed RAW and TIFF files, I see ONLY the raw files in Lightroom. If I go back into the import dialog and select the TIFF again and try to import, a message is displayed that the CR2 file has already been imported into the library. If I drag a TIFF into the library, the RAW file comes in instead.
However, if I export a RAW file from Lightroom as a TIFF and then try to re-import it, the import is successful and I can see it. I do not recall this occurring in the LR beta. Any suggestions?
I'm running Windows XP Pro with all service packs installed. AMD 3800 dual core PC with 2 gb RAM. The images are from a Canon 5D, and were cropped, edited, and saved as LWZ compressed TIFFs using ACR in the CS3 beta. The TIFFs open fine in CS2 or CS3. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

Yes, they are the same name.
My workflow is to import the RAW files to Bridge, rename the RAW files(for example "wdn_070219_0001", etc.), add metadata and ratings. Then, as I make TIFFs, I leave them in the same folder until I'm ready to store the whole project into DNGs, TIFF edits of the original files, etc. I'm likely able to import the older TIFF's because I've converted the RAW files to DNGs and archived those off to a separate folder. What you are saying is, as I save off edits or conversions to TIF, create a separate folder right off the bat.
If that is the behavior, its too bad that it is different from Bridge in that respect. You'd think that if Bridge can differentiate the saide car files from the RAW image, LR would too.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll work with the product with that in mind, for the time being at least.

  • Please help me remove Lightroom trial version.

I wanted to try adobe's Lightroom and downloaded and installed the trial version. I have decided not to purchase at this time and attempted to uninstall the product. I beleive it is crashing my computer as it is the only new program i have installed in literally years. This is the error message I am receiving.  Can someone please help me? Thank you.

If you cannot install the same thing over the top of what is there, then try installing the LR 5.3 update from: http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates

What are the limitations of the trial version of PE8?
I'm wondering if I can burn a project for now or if there's a limit placed on the trial version of PE7. I do intend on buying unless it seems a bit klunky when doing choppy projects.

Any projects burnt will contain an Adobe Watermark.
The download version does not include all the templates of the bought version (although you can download them separately).
There is no Photoshop.com integration (although unless you are in North Americas thats the norm).

Apple products r suppose to b great, since I've had my new big screen MAC my bought products & accounts w $$ in it has been just disappearing or Apps purchased r reverting back to trial apps. How do I get this fixed. I'm not paying for my apps again.

The Mac App Store doesn't offer or even allow "trial" versions. What probably happened is that you had a trial version directly from the software developer and when purchasing and downloading the app from the Mac App Store the limitation in the trial version wasn't removed. You usually have to uninstall the trial version, using whatever uninstall procedure the developer prescribes, and then download the full version from the Mac App Store.
As to redownloading, uninstall the app as per the developer's instructions, then go to the Purchases area of the App Store app. You can redownload anything you've purchased there.

  • SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 Trial Version, what's inside

    Hi all,
    I have two main questions.
    First:
What are the limitations of the trial version against the commercial version?
    Specifically It is written:
SAP NetWeaver Application Server, Java EE 5 Edition
    SAP Composition Tools
SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio (with Java EE support), based on Eclipse Callisto
    MaxDB 7.6 database
    Web Dynpro
Which are the composition tools? and
Is the Service registry and repository for service management missing?
    Second:
What manuals, tutorials or documents are good for beginners?
    Thanks in advance
    Best regards
    v s

    Hi,
to start with, the links provided by Abhijith represent a nice overview of the documentation delivered with <b>the older version (SAP NetWeaver 7.0)</b>, and are of no help regarding the SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1.
    To your questions, v s:
    1) >>> What are the limitations of the trial version against the commercial version?
The main differences are that the trial has limited license (30-day, which can be extended to 90-days). It's only a developer installation (i.e. compared to productive install options in the commercial one)
    2) >>> Which are the composition tools?
    This should comprise:
    - the Composite Application Framework (CAF) - a framework for model-driven development of business logic and persistence of composite applications. More information <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/49/80b066798a4ba2a1e26ce93997e839/frameset.htm">here</a>.
    - the Visual Composer - a tool for visual modeling of user interfaces used by composite applications. More information <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/45/04134e8a5741dee10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm">here</a>.
    - the Guided Procedures, which a framework for orchestration of services into user-centric, collaborative processes. More information <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/fb/5e6f4169e25858e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm">here</a>.
    3) >>> Is the Service registry and repository for service management missing?
The Services Registry <b>is part of the trial version</b>. The Enterprise Services Repository is not part of it, neither in the commercial release of SAP NW CE 7.1, SP01.
However, if you're interested in consuming enterprise services defined in the Enterprise Services Repository, you might want to check the <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/explore-es">ES Workplace</a> area on SDN. It provides access to enterprise services definitions in hosted backend systems, which you can use in your composite applications in SAP NW CE 7.1.
    4) >>> What manuals, tutorials or documents are good for beginners?
A good number of getting started tutorials and sample code is available if you browse the Welcome page of your developer studio. You can open it by selecting Help -> Welcome from the main menu of the developer studio.
In the Tutorials tag page, you can find getting started tutorials for different technologies included in the composition environment. In the Samples tab page, you can click on the links to import the sample apps code right to your Developer Studio workspace and play around with them.
In addition, if you'd like to get an overview of what a composite application is, I'd recommend reading <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/45/beddad24a252f5e10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm">the following section</a> in the Developer's Guide.
Last, but not least, the <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/46/0b5d04cb774f08e10000000a114a6b/frameset.htm">following page</a> in the documentation gives a good overview of the overall documentation delivered with the product.
    Hope that helps!
