Limitations when pasting into the replace field when search and replacing?

I seem to be unable to paste ALL of the code from my pasteboard when searching and replacing, is there a way to increase the characters?

Replacing 500 lines of code is not possible with Find and Replace. The underlying functionality relies on JavaScript. Cramming 500 lines of code into a JavaScript replace command is likely to give Dreamweaver the screaming heebie-jeebies.
What I suggest you do is to use the Find and Replace dialog box to find what you want to delete, and replace it with something immediately recognizable, such as:
PASTE HERE
You can insert new lines in the Replace field by holding down the Shift key and pressing Enter/Return.
Then locate the placeholder, and paste in your 500 lines of code.

Adobe PDF Printer crashes when pasting in the filename field
Greetings, first off there is no similar problem with any freeware pdf printers so I want to rule out my system config as being the culprit. This only happens in Adobe PDF.
How to reproduce the problem? Have something in your clipboard and try to paste it into the filename field when printing the file as a pdf - you should have now crashed whatever you were trying to print and the program behind it.
Please make a fix for this, it is ridiculous that I have to install a second, freeware, pdf printer because thousand dollar software is not working properly. And I have lost tons of receipts and work this way.I'm having a similar issue, on windows 7, 32 bit desktop system, using Windows Live Mail, with Acrobat X standard:
Any time I try to "print to pdf" an email, just attempting to enter a file name for the pdf (no cut-and-paste), the dialogue box freezes, I can enter several characters, then the keyboard just freezes, the dialogue box becomes unresponsive. WLM ends up crashing. My work around is to not attempt to specify a name, just go with what Acrobat supplies, typically some thing like 00008.pdf. Then edit the name, and/or location, within Windows Explorer.
I've tried repairing the install, believe that actually worked, a few months back. Tried again today when the problem cropped up again, but repairing the install didn't help.
This has been ongoing for me for some months now. Not situation normal. Don't want to be snippy, but seems like tech support response is VERY slack... -

If you are talking about the serial number, as far as I know serial numbers are entirely numeric so there is no need to enter letters. Maybe you are using the incorrect code.

Did you remove your personal data when uninstalling and have created a new default profile folder?
It is possible that you previously had an extension that set focus to the location bar.

Why when I copy a cell and paste into another it pastes into the middle of three cells? I was very fond of using numbers as it was straightforward and much better than Excel. But I made the mistake of installing Mavericks and Numbers 3.0. Now it is worse than Word at doing what it thinks it wants to do rather than what you want to do. I can no longer copy a cell and paste it into another. For some reason on pasting, instead of pasting into just one other cell it pastes into the middle of three cells - what the ****?

That's not how iMessage was designed to work. It works with your contacts. You start typing a phone number or email address and you'll se a list of hint from auto-complete. After you select a suggestion, start typing another address. If the addresses you want are not in your contacts, you'll need to enter each of them manually.

my pictures from my i phone 4s wont import from auto play. a message keeps coming up saying there is an error and a device is not working properly. also i have tried going into the internal storage to copy and paste them but that wont work either. the page either stops responding or the picture simply dont copy. does any1 have any idea why this is happening. it has never happened before and only seems to be happening since i started using i cloud storage instead of synching my phone with the lap top.
I have decided to dedicate this thread to the wonderful errors of Lion OSX. Each time I find a huge problem with Lion I will make note of it here.
Today I discovered a new treasure of doggie poop in Lion. No Save As......
I repeat. No Save As. In text editor I couldn't save the file with a new extension. I finally accomplished this oh so majorly difficult task (because we all know how difficult it should be to save a file with a new extension) by pressing duplicate and then saving a copy of the file with a new extension. Yet then I had to delete the first copy and send it to trash. And of course then I have to secure empty trash because if I have to do this the rest of my mac's life I will be taking up a quarter of percentage of space with duplicate files. So this is the real reason they got rid of Save As: so that it would garble up some extra GB on the ole hard disk.
So about 20 minutes of my time were wasted while doing my homework and studying for an exam because I had to look up "how to save a file with a new extension in mac Lion" and then wasted time sitting here and ranting on this forum until someone over at Apple wakes up from their OSX-coma.
are you freaking kidding me Apple? I mean REALLY?!!!! who the heck designed this?!!! I want to know. I want his or her name and I want to sit down with them and have a long chat. and then I'd probably splash cold water on their face to wake them up.

Yesterday Colloquy crashed on my iPad after an Arabic text string was pasted into the IRC channel that I was on. Another user using Linkinus under Mountain Lion on her Macbook Pro was also affected. As I understand it, this vulnerability has to do with applications that use Webkit. What is being done about it? Can we expect security updates for Mountain Lion and iOS 6 soon?

When I type an address into the url field the browser will not load the page...it just sits there as though waiting for me to press enter. Also it won't respond to the recently used addresses that show in the dropdown menu. It will also not respond when I try to use the search engine field (google). This started yesterday after Firefox automatically updated to version 3.5.9. I don't get an error message, just no response at all.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

if i factory reset my ipod touch(5th gen), can i reset it to the option 'set up as a new ipod', and then i can just go into the app store/itunes store and log into my apple ID so i can just restore my music and apps and not icloud with photos, contacts, ect. and then later i can add contacts that i need/want instead of them restoring them from icloud?
The reason i asked this question is because i have been wondering this a lot ever since i got an exchange on this ipod (and ive only had it for a few weeks now) because my last ipod had a lot of problems. so after i restored my ipod with my computer/itunes, i downloaded apps that i wanted, and then when i went to the storage to see how much storage was left, it said 0 bytes. i was freaking out because i didnt know how that could be, i mean, cause like, that is impossible when i just 'purchased' it, that the space was full but i looked and all my pictures were on this ipod and i already put them on my computer so i dont need them anymore thats why i wanna reset it now so there is nothing on it so i can have more space for stuff to do and download on it.
it is updated to iOS 8 but that happened when i purchased it, so i didnt have a choice to update it even though i didnt want to update to iOS 8...

-sierraHey Sierra, You can do just what you have stated. My question, what is your "other"? If it is over 1.5 GB you most likely have corrupt files. Doing a Restore to New, Factory restore should correct it. Just make sure you make a full backup of all information on your iPod to your computer before you restore, so you don't lose your stuff, contacts, videos, pictures, non-iTunes music, etc, use the cable and connect with your computer. Then, via cable, connect to your computer, run the Restore to new, don't use your backup. Treat this iPod as if it was your first one ever. When restore is done, set up and add what info you wish to install on this iPod. The music apps etc you purchased should be on your computer, if not you should be able to retrieve purchased apps and music from iTunes. Any music, videos, apps not purchased from iTunes will be lost to you if you do not save them to your computer or the cloud first. When your done, make a current Backup and you should good to go.
