Limited user not working

After upgrading to 7.5, the limited user account has to set up itunes everytime you open it and will not keep itunes as the default player. Works fine as administrator. Tried repairing.

Since Publishing is enabled, the pages are stored in the Pages library and CSS etc is stored in the Style library.  Make sure that users have access to those locations.  If they don't then having limited access won't allow viewing the default
page and navigation.  I suspect in 2010 you were using sites where the default page was stored directly in the site root folder rather than in a library.  Changes in 2013 moved away from that design.  So limited access normally won't allow display
of the root site unless you also give users access to the page and any additional required material.

  • SAP* user not working in new client

    Hi,
    I created a new client from SCC4. And now I am trying to login with SAP* user and pass password but it is not allowing. Note provided in SAP Config Guide is not working.
    I installed SAP Solution Manager 7.0 SP12 and then created a client.
    Please let me know how to solve this issue.
    Points will be awarded.
    Regards.

    Hi!
    I agree that the issue is probably due to the parameters for the automatic user SAP* - not sure about the Masterpassword though - the newly created client is only an entry in a table at this stage, so I don't think the system will know any password but the hardcoded one...
    Something you should be very careful about is the Java-Stack, which is part of SolMan7 and which runs SMD. The Java stack can only interface with one client properly, so I am not sure what's the idea behind the newly created client.

  • Accessing Synchronizer Web Admin as a User not working

    Hello,
    We use DS Mobility 1.2.2.
    Users cannot configure personnal settings from https://ds:8120/
    They can successfully log, but the "Manage My Connectors" section is empty.
    These users all synchronize their smartphones with GW.
    Thanks for any help.

    The tree looks like somethings as :
    t=mytree
    o=myOrg1
    o=myOrg2
    ou=myou1,o=myOrg1
    ou=myou2,o=myOrg2
    I add users only per groups.
    These groups are in cn=myDSGroup1,ou=groups,ou=myou2,o=myOrg2
    Users that are in the same o that the groups can access Connectors Settings. For example, cn=myuser,ou=users,ou=dep,ou=myou2,o=myOrg2 is working.
    But cn=mybaduser,ou=users,ou=dep,ou=myou1,o=myOrg1 is not working.
    There is no others difference between users.

  • Sender Agreement - Assigned Users not work

    Hi Experts,
    I have a scenario SOAP - XI and I want to establish authorization to certain users. I am trying to assign user to the Sender Agreement but it does not work.
    I am using in the URL the next prefix /sap/xi/engine?type=entry, but if I use the prefix /XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet, it works fine.
    Is it possible to assign users to Sender Agreement using the prefix /sap/xi/engine?type=entry?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    There are two ways of sending a message to XI using SOAP Adapter. The first one is to the adapter engine via ./XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet. The second one is to the integration engine via propose URL. The first one will use the sender agreement because it is considered a java call but the second one will not (same with PlainHTTPAdapter).
    Hope this helps,
    Mark

  • Guest user not working at all (Mavericks Ver.10.9.4)

    I am currently using a 2011 MacBook Pro running OS X Mavericks Version 10.9.4.
    I'm having an annoying problem regarding the guest user, I just can't seem to get it to work. I got to User and Groups in the System Preferences, check the box "Allow guests to log in to this computer" and it doesn't work. I've tried turning it off, restarting my computer, then turning it back on and yet the guest account still doesn't show up in the login page or in the faster user switching menu. It's crazy how there's barely any information on how to fix this. I've searched google and the only results are how to enable guest user or how to get rid of it, nothing pops up on that the guest user is not working so I've come to the Mac community to see if I can get any help here. I have updated everything in my software update by the way.

  • URGENT PLEASE HELP - Source determination in Limits Carts not working

    Dear all,
    We have implemented SRM 4 on Server 5.0 and ECC 5 backend.
    We have in our environment service masters that have been catalogued and linked to Contracts. When one raises a cart and selects one on these catalogue service items, a backend PO correctly creates and references the contract as specified in the catalog.
    The problem we have discovered that if we raise a Limits order and specify the material group stipulated in the contract for a service, source determination fails to "pick up" this contract line. We are forced to enter a supplier all the time!
    Also if we raise a text service line and select from "internal Goods/Services" a Service Master record and add it tothe cart, surce determination also does not pick up the R3 contract/line that matched this service. This means that when POs are created in the backend, they are not referencing any contract (no call-off)
    Why is this happening? How come catalogue items linked to a service masters and contracts work and correctly and a Limits order do not?
    Please help, we need to resolve this issue today.
    Thanks,
    Grace.

    Hi Grace,
    The contracts that are created in SRM can only be refered as Source of supplies while creating shopping carts if your are working in Extended Classic scenario.
    In case you want to refer the back end contracts, Info. records for creating shopping carts you have to implement classic scenario.
    The standard SRM does not provide the functionality you needed where as if you want to use back end contracts for a particular product category you can implement "Controlled Extended Classic Scenario BADI " which makes the classic scenario active for that product category, there by a back end contract can be referred for that product category when ever a shopping cart is made.
    Hope this makes you clear. Clarifications are welcome.
    Award points for suitable replies.
    Rgds,
    Teja

  • Save for all users not working

    I created a query in the rich client and selected "save for all users", but still cannot open it on another server.  Has anyone else experienced this?  I am on version 12.3.1 build 684.

    I just did a Save As and checked the "Save for all users" box.  I think I have to check "Remove document security", but that's grayed out); Deski only had the one option and it worked fine.  There error I received is:
    The document has been secured on another cluster. You cannot open this document on the current cluster. To open it, log on the right cluster and save it as unsecured. I am a beginner here. I was trying to create a user named turner, password as tur. I had following code.
    SQL> connect scott/tiger;
    Connected.
    SQL> CREATE USER turner IDENTIFIED BY tur;
    CREATE USER turner IDENTIFIED BY tur
    *ERROR at line 1:ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
    SQL>
    System did not like it. It says scott has insufficient privileges. How can I look what privilege does scott have?
    How can I add create user privileges to scott. Any response in this regards highly apprciated.
    Thanks. -Bal

    SQL>connect system/manager
    SQL>grant dba to scott
    So, scott can work as dba.
    Sys and system are the default database administrator users.
    Both users are created automatically when database is created.
    and They are granted the DBA role.
    Sys is owner of the database data dictionary.
    and his(her) password is change_on_install.
    System is owner of additional internal tables and views used by Oracle tool.
    Both sys and system are regual users, which are stored in the data dictionary.

  • DBA user, 'other users' shows limited users, not all

    I have 2 workstations, both used regularly by 2 dbas with the appropriate privileges. SQL Developer release same, even copied entire install directory from working workstation to problem workstation to neutralize any differences.
    On one workstation, can access SQL Developer login as the dba user and under 'other users' ALL schema owners appear.
    On second workstation, access SQL developer with same dba login and under 'other users' only see schema owners defined by the installation (ie. system, xdb, etc), and not schema owners defined by the dba.
    I have found in the past that incorrect jdbc and java components have been issues with software that accesses Oracle and returns an incomplete set of information. I installed jre 1.6.0.13 on both and a -showversion in a command window on both show the same version. JDBC drivers I assume are taken from the SQLDeveloper directory. So I am not sure where to go next.
    Anyone encounter something similar.
    thanks in advance for the help!
    Laura

    The issue was actually resolved because of the jre upgrade. It just didn't affect my sqldeveloper results until the machine was rebooted. So when I went to try your suggestions, the correct schemas were already being displayed under other users. But I appreciate the tidbit of info. I am sure that will come in handy.

  • Limited Access not working as intended

    In SharePoint 2010 when Limited Access (fine grain permissions) is enabled you could assign permissions for a user on a list item or list etc. SharePoint would then grant Limited Access permissions for that same user on parent scopes. This allowed the user
    to have access to shared resources such as navigation and master pages allowing him to traverse to the target item or list without having access to any other content.
    I can't seem to replicate this in SharePoint 2013. I have the following features:
    SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure: Enabled (site collection feature)
    Limited-access user permission lockdown mode: Disabled (site collection feature)
    SharePoint Server Publishing: Enabled on all sites (Site feature)
    If I assign permission to a user for a list. The user can view that list via URL, but cannot view the parent webs/sites. Cannot view the navigation (site scope).
    If anyone has any idea as to why Limited Access isn't working as I hoped it would, I would be very appreciative of any help!
    Regards,
    Damien

    Since Publishing is enabled, the pages are stored in the Pages library and CSS etc is stored in the Style library.  Make sure that users have access to those locations.  If they don't then having limited access won't allow viewing the default
    page and navigation.  I suspect in 2010 you were using sites where the default page was stored directly in the site root folder rather than in a library.  Changes in 2013 moved away from that design.  So limited access normally won't allow display
    of the root site unless you also give users access to the page and any additional required material.

  • Reactivated user not working

    Hello,
    I've reactivated a user but it won't allow them to be logged in now, it just gives the error:
    404 - File or directory not found.
    The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
    Now this is IFD CRM on premises, it detects the user in active directory if I try and create a new user for example but I'm not sure why this is happening?  The user left the organisation and has now returned.  What could be causing this one?  Thanks.

    Hello,
    There is a workaround for this issue, open same user record and enter windows id for other user who doesn't have CRM access for temporary use and hit save button once saved then again enter the same user windows id and save the record and try to access CRM
    that should work.
    Hope this helps. If you get answer of your question, please mark the response as an answer and vote as helpful !!!

  • [SOLVED ]Automatic Xsession starting for two users not working

    Trying to have two Xsession running in the same time, started automatically after login on two consoles. When I start the second manually at tty8, it is running flawless. When trying to do the same with .xinitrc, it is completelly ignored and still talks bullshit about Xsession running for display 0.
    Make me feel there is some configuration file somewhere where it should not definitelly exist which takes controll everytime but when starting Xsession manually…

    Yep exactly, computer for lames, the second user is just for english-speaking, first one will be for native Czech. As soon as this will work, I will even set automatic logon with mingetty for both users.
    karol wrote:
    exec ck-launch-session dbus-launch startxfce4 -- :1 tty7
    For the second user change this to
    exec ck-launch-session dbus-launch startxfce4 -- :0 tty8
    :0 instead of :1 (or you can use :2 etc.)
    I think I've already tried, tried again now and still the same result.
