Limiting postings to specified accounts to interfaces

Just wanted to get some thoughts as to the best way to allow certain accounts to only be posted to by interfaces but not by actual manual journal entries in ECC?  I'm sure there are several ways to achieve this but I just wanted to get as many ideas on the table as possible.

Hi
thanks for your reply my requirement is for some customer there were some bad debts which were writeoff and now we got the payment for those writeoffs
i need to post that payment to provison account
Thanks

  • Error 'Specify account number' while posting a parked document through FBV0

    Hi,
I am getting an error 'Specify account number' while posting a parked document through transaction FBV0.
I am not able to figure it out as to what account number it is referring to. Since the document is parked I assume the GL account used has no problem. Please help.

    Hi,
Try to change the Account number and then save or post the data. I think Once We Parking the Document it wont allow to post the data without changing.
Try same scenario in the development its be useful

Is there any sollution for that......

That is bcoz the account number you are populating in table parameters is not matching with values in table while processing.  Use FM conversion_exit to prefix zeroes so that it matches the value in table.

  • XK01 Account group 0003 uses ext no assignment Specify account number

    Hi
When I am trying to create one time vendor in XK01 , after filling all fields (except vendor , when I click the enter I am getting the following error .
"Account group 0003 uses ext no assignment Specify account number "
Any idea where should I specify account number  and what is this account number  ? I mean is it GL account number ?
    Thanks
    SN

    Hi Satya,
if you donot want to assign the external number range to the vendors.....use T.code XKN1..remove the tickmark from checkbox "EXT" and save.
Try creating again. The problem occurs because you have selected external number ranges for vendors in XKN1.

There is definitely more amusing endeavours in this world, than trying to understand why an SQL Server install failed. The log files are verbose - but somehow the real information about what went wrong seems to be hiding. Never have proverb about not being
able to see the forest for all the trees felt more appropriate.
Nevertheless, this is where things go sour:

What account? I supposed you have already asked yourself that and just shaken your head.
But there is another error code 2203, NET HELPMSG 2203 says "The password parameter is invalid." And I note that the source is apparently on a share.
So where is my guess: the MSI installer - which runs as a service, somehow does not have permissions to read the installation from the share. Or is trying to log on to the share with your username/password? No, I don't know, I am just speculating widely.
But my advice would be to copy the installation directory from the share to a local disk.
Maybe that CryptAcquireContext is significant as well - I don't know.
Oh, wait, here is something just before the section above in the log:
    MSI (s) (F4:EC) [09:04:15:729]: Note: 1: 2205 2:  3: Environment
    MSI (s) (F4:EC) [09:04:15:729]: Note: 1: 2228 2:  3: Environment 4: SELECT `Name`,`Value` FROM `Environment`,`Component` WHERE `Component_`=`Component` AND (`Component`.`Action` = 1 OR `Component`.`Action` = 2)
    Action start 9:04:15: WriteEnvironmentStrings.
2205 is "The logon processor did not add the message alias." I see that in a successful log that I have, so that is probably benign. But 2228 seems to be
"There are too many names in the user accounts database."
Exactly what that means, I have no clue, but it could be a Windows problem.

  • Is screen sharing through Messages limited to third-party accounts in Yosemite like it is in Mavericks?

So I was told this by an Apple support member through the online chat, but everything else I've been reading seems contradictory. Every blog post I've read, and even Apple's own website makes it seems like you can screen share on Messages with any contact with an iMessage account (in Mavericks, it was limited to third-party accounts signed into Messages like Google, Jabber, AIM, etc...).
I was able to screen share through the iMessages account if the two computers were on the same network (both on wifi, or both tethered to the same phone), but not if they were on separate networks. Which seems almost next to useless. It'd be nice to just get a breakdown of what's possible with screen sharing through Messages.
    So far it seems like:
    1. Screen sharing is possible using a third-party account (as per in Mavericks).
    2. Screen sharing is possible using an iMessages account only within the same network (added in Yosemite). <- if this is really all that was "added", they really should make that clear, rather than making it seem like iMessage accounts have the same utility as third-party ones.
Just want someone to confirm this. Thanks!

    Hi,
Screen Sharing only works with an AIM Account (AOL) or a Jabber ID  when the person at the other end is also using the same sort of Account and a Mac with iChat or Messages.
The Bonjour Account which is used for LAN based Mac to Mac Chats can also Screen Share.
The Yahoo account (if you have one) is Text only. It does not even do File Sharing.  It does not do Video Chat, Audio Only ones or Screen Sharing.
The iMessages account does not do Video chats (or Audio Only)
What it does do is invoke the FaceTime App.
    FaceTime does not Screen Share.
Links to the info you have read would be useful.
    The Messages Help info.
Text (if the pic does not show)
    Share your screen
You and a friend with Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard or later can share a screen, making it easy to collaborate on a project.
When you share a screen, you and your friend can do anything on the shared desktop, such as opening folders, creating documents, and copying files by dragging them from one desktop to another. Messages automatically starts an audio chat.
You can share screens using AIM, Jabber, Google Talk, and Bonjour. You can’t share screens using Yahoo! or iMessage.
Important: When you share your screen, your friend has the same access to your computer that you have. Share your screen only with people you trust, and be careful if you receive a request to share your screen from someone who isn’t in your buddy list. If the request comes from someone using Bonjour, remember that the name shown for the person in Bonjour does not necessarily match the person’s real name.
See the Line above the one where the word "important" is in bold text.
OS X 10.5 is the one with iChat 4.x.x with it.
    To be clear:-
iChat 1 was an AIM client but also had the Bonjour account under it's previous name of Rendezvous
    iChat 3 added Jabber capabilities
iChat 6 added Yahoo ones. (extremely limited)
Messages brings the Name change and the focus on the iMessages account with the associated window changes.
This means Messages can join 5 "services"
Opening Messages asks you for an Apple ID to register with iMessages.
It also has the Bonjour account present but not turned On.
You can add anything you used in iChat
Some Apple Issued ID are valid AIM Screen Names
GoogleTalk and Facebook Chat IDs works as Jabber IDs
    Apple IDs
These can be considered in some ways to be separated into different functions or layers.
The first difference is between external emails and Apple Issued ones that end in @mac.com, @me.com and @icloud.com  (Some people are using a small number of pre Email linked Apple IDs - about 15 years or older accounts.)
The Apple Issued ones can be used as AIM Screen Names.
You can also distinguish between iCloud Linked ones and plain Apple IDs
As Apple changed from MobileMe to iCloud they used  and linked @me.com IDs to iCloud as people registered for iCloud.
Later they issued iCloud ending emails  (you may have both)
This leaves you with "All iCloud IDs are Apple IDs, but not all Apple IDs are iCloud ID ones".
The short answer is if an Account in Messages can Video within the app (not invoke another app) then it can Screen Share.

I am a new Creative Cloud Subscriber.  I tried to install Acrobat XI Pro and received an error during the installation.  I contacted support, and they had me uninstall the partial installation of Acrobat XI, and then reboot the machine.
After the reboot I attempted to install Acrobat 11 from a full version that I downloaded from the Adobe website, based on the information provided to me by support.
That did not work and while the software was trying to uninstall Acrobat X I received an Error 1316, and it quit.
Now when I try to remove Acrobat 10, I get the Error 1316 The specified account already exists.
What do I need to do to uninstall Acrobat 10 and Install Acrobat 11.
    EJ

You will need to repair AA X before you can uninstall it. AA XI typically breaks part of prior versions in that removal of AA XI, removes those parts of XI the overwrote parts of X and thus X is broken.

  • How do I Uninstall Adobe PSE9?  All I get is an error message, "Error 1316.  The specified account already exists".  Then the Unistaller rolls back and the program just sits there, partially uninstalled and unusable.

I have upgraded to PSE13 and want to unistall PSE9.  When I try to do this all I get is an error message, "Error 1316.  The specified account already exists".  Then the uninstaller rolls back and I am left with a partially uninstalled version that is unusable.  I tried to reinstall the software from the original PSE9 disk but all it tries to do is uninstall the version already on my computer, and this then does the same thing as noted above. How do I completely uninstall PSE9?

  • "the specified account already exists"

I am having issues with iTunes.  OS is Windows 7, 64-bit.  The Apple Software Update errors out when trying to update it to the current version.
So I tried uninstalling it from the Control Panel.  I get an error "The specified account already exists," which then halts the uninstall process.  I get the same error if I try to just install the current version of iTunes.
So I can't uninstall, and I can't install, and the current install looks to be somehow corrupted.
Anyone out there have any ideas?

Try this alternate link to that fixit: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/en-us
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • Block Postings to specific account/profit center combinations

How do I set rules or controls to prohibit manual postings to specific account/profit center combinations?  I want to emphasize that I am not not just interested in blocking postings to an account, it has to be the unique combination of account and profit center which is prohibited.
    Thank you,

    Hi,
    Use OB28...
Set the prerequisite as BKPF-Tcode : FB01...( any transaction used for manual posting)
and BSEG-BUKRS <> the company code
    Then in the Check button
BSEG-PRCTR = prctr ( first create a set id using GS01 with this name there give all the profit center which you want to block.
Third is as usual give the message type as Error.
    Thats it...
    Hope this helps

IE    TT 200 has not been entered in Specify Account Assignment Types but the Retirement transactions complete as expected.
So my question is whether it is necessary to enter all required TTs in the Specify Account Assignment Types?
If it is "correct" to enter them, how are the account assignments types used.
Would a rule of thumb be:
Balance Sheet accounts = APC Values Posting
    Depreciation accounts = Depreciation Run.

    Hi,
May I know if you are referring to OKO6 config? We have no included any of those unwanted cost elements for settlement, but during settlement we are getting error saying that allocation structure not complete - so we need to find a way for system to totally exclude posting from those accounts for settlement (instead of showing error)
