I want to know if the Zen Micro Photo will allow line-in recording from an exterior source .

I'm afraid not. The Zen Micro Photo player does not have a Line In jack unlike player like the Zen Neeon.

Hello,did anyone have any issues recording through line in on Zen V?Go to extras ->line in recoding press on rec. begins to record fine, shows the levels going up and down and on the screen. click on rec again says sayving. When i go to tarnsfer files nothing appears to be saved in my recordings folder. Also is there anyway to change a default 28 Kbs rec quality to a higher one?Any help is greatly appreciated.

You have the line in going into the correct jack, the 3/32 mini jack and not the /8 headphone jack right? Some people have mistakingly plugged the line in into the headphone jack thinking that is how they recorded.

Quality of line-in recording for zen nano p

how good is the line-in rec for ZenNP? is there any background disturbance? most of my songs are on tapes. so if i encode them, will it sound the same as playing it in my walkman?

Creative zen micro line-in recordi

I read a review of the zen micro at CNET.com, and their short video clip tells me that the zen micro has line-in recording. However, nowhere does it state/mention that feature in the zen micro homepage, nor is it mentioned in any other site. I would just like to confirm that the zen micro doesn't have line-in recording...

Yep, the CNET.COM video review did mention about a line-in recording function. But maybe because that video was recorded way before the Zen Micro was actually launched, therefore there was a mix up in information. And so no, Creative Zen Micro does not have a line-in recording function. However, the Zen Neeon and Zen Nano Plus does have line-in recording if you're interested =)

Zen V plus line in recording with 10 minute tra

I just purchased a zen v plus specifically for recording certain programs using the line in recorder. The programs are generally /2 to 3 hours long. The problem I have is that the line in recorder breaks up the recording into 0 minute tracks. Is there a way to program or adjust the setting,so that it's not broken up into tracks?

When you record a track, the recorded track is automatically named LINE followed by the date and time of the recording ( LINE YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS ). For example, if you recorded a track on March 5, 2004 at 2:57 pm, the track is named >LINE 2004-03-5 4:57:00 . You can just extract the recorded track from the player and rename it when you have it connected to your computer.

Zen V:Turning off SYNC in line-in record

Is there a way to disable the SYNC feature so that the line-in recording doesn't depend on the source level? I just want to run external microphone, via a mixer, into the Zen V line-in and not have the thing create a new track everytime the level drops into and out of the noise.

I think you need all your iCloud contacts to be on, on all devices.
On the iPad, in Contacts, if you tap "Groups" red bookmark in the top left corner, it will bring you to a screen with a sync icon in the bottom left corner. Try tapping that. On the same screen make sure your contacts/address books are checked.

Creative Zen V Plus Line In Record

Hi all
I am looking at getting a number of these for my workplace to use primarily as a line in/external mic recording device.
We have trialled a number of HD based recorders in the past; iRi'ver, Cowon but we have found the line in recording standard to be poor.
I was wondering if anyone has one of these and could tell me what the recording standards are like, especially regarding the volume levels of the line in recording?
The iRi'ver and Cowons both have line in recording but the volume level is so low it is pretty useless.

I use my Zen Nano Plus primarily for line in recording directly from sound systems. Line-in recordings are saved as MP3s and you can pick the encoding bitrate, either 96, 28 or 60. The recordings with the built-in microphone are saved as WAV files. I've found that for line-in recordings it's best to put in some headphones and check that the recording level (via volume control) is satisfactory. I've never used any other line-in recorders so I can't provide any comparison. Anyway, I typically use the free version of Wavepad to do an auto gain adjustment on the recordings. Petition to add line-in recording to new Creative Zen mod

Hello all.
I've always loved the line-in feature of the now discontinued Creative Nomad Jukebox 3, which allowed me to record in high quality uncompressed WAV at 44 or 48 Khz from any analogue or even digital (optical) source, so I was disappointed when it was removed from the newer Zen models (only the new MuVo includes line in recording, but only in MP3 format, since it's a small storage flash based unit).
I'd like to tell Creative that there is really an interest for quality hard dri've based recorders everywhere, so they should add again the line-in jack to new Zen models (and if possible it would be nice to have a microphone jack too for external mics, like in minidiscs, but that's not all that neccessary).
Let's see how many people are interested in this...

i've just seen on the cnet review site that the zen micro has line-in-recording and i've owned one for month but didnt know this!!
more importantly, if this is true, how comes i havent come accross it in the menues?
is it possible and how?

Zen V Plus Line-In Record

I'm recording various shows on TV and Satellite radio by line-in audio recording. Can anyone tell me if the V Plus can charge and record line-in at the same time? If not, how long can it line-in record before the player shuts down? I have the Nano Plus and it's just too much of a drain with the AAA battery -- only recording about /2 hours before it shuts itself off.

it does not charge and record at the same time..
im not sure about the in-line recording battery life though..

Zen V Plus hang during line in recording

I was doing line in recording. Then it hang there. The display did not change no matter which button I press. I can't even turn it off. I hold the power button for minute, the little thing just wouldn't go off. When?it runs out of battery, I connect it to my PC, it charges and returns to the same display no matter what. What can I do? Please help.

Im looking to buy a Zen V for li've music tapingand am wondering if the line in records in Stereo.
Also- are the recording levels displayed on the screen?

I will have to wrestle it away from my daughter to check.
As I recall there is a level indicator for the voice recording (with built in mic), but I didn't think it showed that when doing line in recording.
But haven't done recording on it for awhile, when I was helping my daughter do it we always monitored the audio through the headphones while recording.
Will try to check tommorrow.

What can you tell me about this feature?
Was it in the old firmwares?
I know the situation with Creative Zen Vision:M ? radio recording feature presented in the old firmwares but it was deleted in the new one.

Export Excel Data only causes blank line between 2 lines of records

I wrote a complete winform application using CR2008.
For information :
C# Framework 3.5
Windows XP SP2 or Windows Server 2003 SP1
CR2008 SP1
Application allow to preview report. In the preview window (CR activx) there is a "letter icon" to export report in several format.

-PDF
-DOC
-XSL
-XSL Data only
When I export with "Excel Data only" format, I always have a blank line between 2 lines of records in Excel.
Is there a way to supress them from VS2008 ?

Product Request: Line-In Recording for Micro (or a USB Doo-D

I think the Micro would really benefit from that level of functionality.
There are two ways it might work, but I don't know the technical sides...
: the headphone jack is not just a source or dread; it's also Remote-Ready. This may point to additional input uses for the hardware, if there is the firmware to exploit it.
2: a line-in accessory could certainly be attached through the mini-USB jack. Again, the firmware would have to support it, but I would certainly pay for a doo-dad that let me record lectures and whatnot with an external microphone, not to mention the whole "record from a CD player" aspect, great for my numerous partially-scratched disks that my computer refuses to read...
Plus, a USB doo-dad would trans-product - they could be used with all the other players that use the mini-USB jack to transfer data. Anyway, a feature like that is too good to only feature in the N200.
