Line break up during email writing
How can I do line break up during email writing.I couldn't find any enter option.with touch I can do only once.but I need two or three line space.
There is no word processing type formatting in the mail app. The only formatting in the mail app is for bold, italics and underlined text.
if you want additional spaces between lines, you just have to keep tapping the return key.

Thundirbird v31.2.0 freezes during email writing
After last update (v31.2.0) sometime, during email writing the whole PC freezes for 30-40 seconds. After feezing thundirbird and other softwares works fine .... till I have to write another email.

- Workstation DELL Precision 5600
- OS: Windows 7 professional
- Thundirbird in normal or safe mode (nothing changes)

We are on 11.5.9 and WF version is 2.6.0If you have not got a resolution for this issue still, this was a bug in Workflow code and fixed in OWF.H I believe. Please search for Oracle Workflow one-off patches if an one-off was released for 11.5.9.

Line Break in Java for writing to a file
Hi
I am writing some data from excel sheet to a text file. I am using POI for reading the data from excel sheets.
Whenever i encounter a value in the cell i want to add it to the text file.. this works fine
But when its a new row(in excel sheet), i want it to be printed on a new line in the text file.
Does anyone have a suggestion how can i move the cursor to the next line?
Also i am taking the excel file from user and have to convert it to a tab limited file after some checking.
As anyone done this before & would like to share some experience or have some suggestions?

Can anyone tell me how i can write int values to the file?
My excel sheet has String, numeric, String, String, String data
From POI HSSF i get the string values as String, and i am casting the numeric values to int (since POI hssf returns double)
When addind data to the file, the string values are taken fine.. but not the numeric values.. a '?' is put instead of the int value (which is 4 -6 digit long)
DO i have to change to char buffer or something?

Urgent !!! Line breaks using Oracle email option
Dear All,
I need an urgent help. My query is some what confusing so please do let me know if you need any clarification.
What I want to do is that I am using the Oracle email option. when I perform a backup the server sends an email to all the concerned authorities. It is fine till this stage. Infact that message that I am sending in the email is a TWO row query in the database. To display this message on SQL prompt is ok as it will appear in TWO lines. But in the email these two rows appear to have concated.
What i want to achieve is that each row should appear in separate line in the email as well. just like using the HTML tag <BR>, the next line is displayed in the next line. Is there any SQL command which I can use to solve my problem.
I would appreciate an urgent response as I am already short of time.

Khurram.I used to declare a varchar variable for end of line like this:
EOL VARCHAR2(10) := CHR(13) || CHR(10);
Then I have concatenated this variable any time when I needed like this.
'First line'||EOL||'Second line'
Take care, email RFC specifies that a new line is composed from a carriage return a new line "\r\n", so you must use both CHR(13) and CHR(10), Oracle equivalent for \r and \n.

I've used ADDT to create a feedback form, pulling through data from a databse.
It generates the code :

A sentence in rich text (change in Options, Delivery format) appears as a single sentence in browser. But when I check the page source I see that sentence has been broken in to multiple lines. Why is this done? Isn't this a bug?
When viewed in a browser or application that supports rich text this does not create any problem since the line breaks are not taken into account . But I am trying to extract the text from this html and display in a nonHTML application like notepad.
Is this done on purpose?

There is no such thing as rich text email, unless it in internal corporate stuff like MS Exchange, Lotus notes etc. EMail on the internet is HTML or Plain Text.
I have no options > delivery format in my settings. Is this something to do with Outlook perhaps?
Then there is your image. All those MSO objects. They stand for Microsoft Office Objects and indicate the source of the HTML as being Outlook or at least Microsoft Office. All in all I think your asking about Microsoft actions on a Mozilla forum. -
Nokia N8 email line break problem
So, I've only found one other post on here about this problem, with no solution.
The problem being that when you reply to an email in a hotmail inbox on the N8. Any line breaks (created by pressing return) are ignored and the whole email is sent as one line. The only way to insert a line break seems to be to use the html tag < br/ > which is very inconvenient. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong.
Any advice from anyone would be much appreciated.
dpLet's bring this issue again to Nokia's attention. This is very annoying issue, I guess it's a bug. They have to tackle it. It's associated with their client, because if you reject Nokia terms of use, this problem disappears!

But under the standard IMAP/SMTP setting almost 1/3 of all messages were showing no content.
Though I don't recall exactly - I think most of them were sent while I was on 3G, and it otherwise works fine on WiFi. -
Address Book bug: email and im addresses print line break
Address Book prints a line break before each long email or instant messenger address.
When printing a list to PDF with e-mail addresses too long for one line, the address is preceded by a line break. See image:

However, with testing, I see what you mean. The only setting that seemed to avoid this, is to use Pocket AB format, which then uses a smaller font for the email address, and appears to avoid this.

Separate email views with line break
Having used MS products for years and now committed to Macs, does anyone know if there is a way to get a line separator on email view:
- if viewing by date received, line would separate the days
- if viewing by sender, line would separate the emails by sender...etc

Unable to find line break between two lines in attachment file.
Dear all I will be very great full if someone help me out,
I am trying to send mail through SMTP server with an attachment of oracle report, but I am unable to find line break between two lines, when I down load the attachment from mail and open attach.txt file by double click on it. Next line starts right after previous line ends, it should starts with new line.
In order to send an attachment file, I am reading source file line by line and put MIME protocol’s attachment instance, contain of source file is being properly written into target file if I open that attachment on cmd prompt.
Following code may help you to understand the case.

This problem occurs in Logic Express version 7.
(I am using MacOS version 10.4.2 on an eMac)
I am currently compiling and editing a large score for a big band composition consisting of 22 parts:

I am creating the score in a separate file, and I am combining parts into 1 stave each by instrument like this:
Flute 1 & 2
Clarinet 1 & 2
Alto Sax 1 & 2
Tenor Sax 1 & 2
Baritone Sax
Trombone 1 - 4
Trumpet 1 - 4
Guitar
Keyboard (2 staves)
Bass
Percussion
Each instrument, with the exception of keyboard which has 2 staves, consists of one stave, making up systems of twelve staves each. By sizing down each score style to 2,
I have managed to fit 2 systems onto each page, therefore significantly reducing the amount of paper needed.
The problem comes when organising the layout of my score,
in particular, the line breaks. Using layout:global format, I have limited the maximum number of bars per line to 8, both in the page edit and normal score mode.
I am trying to divide up my score so that there are 8 bars per system. Using the white arrow tool, I am dragging bars up and down in order to achieve this.
However, when I get 30 odd bars in, I discover a system with 12 bars crammed into it - and even printing it off, it is clear that the system could benefit with less bars; the notation is squashed up together and not very easy to read.
THIS IS THE ACTUAL PROBLEM:
So I tried using the white arrow to move the last 4 bars down onto the next system, and a bug occurs where I end up with about 20 bars on the system, oddly distorted, the first few bars of which are squashed up together at the beginning of the line, and the last bar of which is stretched far off the right hand side of the page out of view. Then the next 20 or so bars are no where to be seen (probably far off the right hand side of the page) before the system below.
If you dont know what I am talking about, I could provide a screenshot if you request.
I have tried everything to get 8 bars on that particular system; dragging the stretched bar downwards, dragging squashed bars downward, moving bars down 1 by 1, moving bars onto the system above, moving bars away from the system below (to make room for the 4 bars that I want to move from above), adding more bars and dragging them down, but none of these methods have worked. I am either stuck with 12 bars crammed onto one system and 4 bars on the next or an oddly distorted version of the system which cannot possibly be read. Even when I settle with the unsatistactory former, I encounter further problems on subsequent systems below, some systems of which are already distorted.
All I want is to have 8 bars per system, it should not be too much to ask! The layout:global format:maximum-bars-per-line calculation seems to be redundant, even when I reset the default line breaks - it just does not automatically set 8 bars per line, which it should do. Is there not an option to determine bars individually by number onto their respective lines, without having to use the white arrow graphic layout tool?
The problem is extremely frustrating, and it is preventing me from completing, presenting and handing in a score for my university music composition.
I have no other score producing software, and starting it
from scratch on paper is going to take me weeks, because it consists of 830 12/8 bars in 22 parts, and I need to get it ready by next term!
Any help would be extremely helpful and much appreciated, especially a patch or a useful way round. It could be related to memory, or hard drive space, as I have experienced similar problems in the past, where my score has been stretched off the page during a time when I have had little disk space...and this is a very large piece of music which might stretch the score capabilities of Logic.
If so, has anyone got any suggestions?

here are some things to try:
1. try assigning a different score style. for the regions. duplicate and then adjust the default ones if necessary.
2. try creating a new instrument set. in fact delete them and make a new one (use the key command: create instrument set from selected)
3. it may be a formatting problem so check:
in global layout constant spacing (try 8 or 9) and proportional spacing (try 45 or so). then try factory defaults.
4. try copying and pasting the midi into a brand new region and looking at the score for that.
5. try fiddling with the layout tool drqagging bars up or down.
normally simply cutting the region of just one object is enough to force a redraw. maybe try it on all of the regions. what happens when you double click on a region? -
I had a tif file of a mountain climber which was placed in an Indesign file as a cover for a brochure. The indesign file went through a number of text edits during the course of August through November. Towards the last month of November a line gap appeared in the cover on the tif file. When I opened the tif file the gap appeared across the top quarter of the image. Why did this happen? Unfortunately I did not catch this and my client had to reprint the cover images at the press. My OS system is Maverick and I was using an older photoshop, CS5.
No the original image does not have the line break. See below.
I duplicated the image below for the current project and the line break occurred midway through the project. It seems that the image somehow got corrupted but I did not open it up in photoshop at all.

This is a simple problem.i don't know how to concat a line break while creating a text.
I am looping through the results of a query and want to form the text using the results.
For each row of the resultset,I want to create a new line in the text i create.
I was wondering how to put a new line in the text.
I thought I can concat '\n' ,but it does not work.
the code snippet in the procedure is :
