Line chart showing final value only?

Is there a way to have a line chart that shows the value against the final data point only?
eg something like this
----------------------74
instead of
1----13----28---42----74
Thanks

Thanks I appreciate your comments and agree I will have to put some effort in, I tend to try and work things out I need by messing around when I need a specific function or have a specific thing I want to do and focus on that without perhaps learning the underling basics.
I've been spoiled by Excel, there is a lot of stuff its significantly easier (for me anyway) to do without undergoing any learning curve at all, with wizards for functions (for example) and in many cases if you right click on something you can alter it right there, rather than having to go up to the inspector and work out which of umpteen functions the bit you want to alter is hidden in. If the inspector was a person, I would have strangled them to death by now
I'm not sure if this is my Mac or what, but if I go into numbers help and type anything in, I just get the spinning thing next to the magnifying glass, but it never comes back to me. It works OK if I follow links. For example I just typed 'charts' in help and hit enter, 5 minutes later I"m still waiting. Doesn't increase my confidence I'll have to look into that and see whats going on.
Thanks to everyone for your help, the guys will be impressed with the new chart !

  • IGS for BW 3.5- Chart showing as column only

    IGS for BW 3.5
    Hi All,
    We've been having problems with our WAD chart, it is showing up only as column chart even though we change the chart type to e.g line chart, bar chart..etc.
    I found note 653249 but it everything seems okay in our system. IGS test in RSRT is working. Checked as well the settings by running BW_IGS_ADMIN and everything seems okay.
    We upgraded our front-end and now using BW 3.5 Patch 2 ( this came with SAP GUI 7.10), but still not working.
    I am not a Basis person, but i need to know what caused this problem and how to fix it. We are using BW 3.5 and IGS version is 6403.0.8.2.
    Seems like we are using the IGS standalone installation since the configuration file path is in D:\Program Files\SAP\Internet Graphics Server\conf\igs.xml.
    I read somewhere that IGS standalone is not for BW 3.5? Is this right? Any ideas about this?
    Thanks!
    Jti

    Hi Kai,
    Thanks a lot for your quick reply.
    However, i would like to clarify on something. in note 653249, it says there that "The IGS must not contain a gfwchart.dll file." In our setting, the chart is using the mischart.dll ( see below).
    3291 CHART 6403.0.8.5 SAPMIS
    3292 CHART 6403.0.8.5 SAPMIS
    So i was thinking our setting is alright. So this should be gfwchart.dll? Please confirm. If so, do you know of any note/docs for this setting? I will need it so i can endorse it to Basis.
    We use graph reporting in Crystal for most of our reports, so we never had issue about this charts in WAD until now. Do we still need to run the chart migration although we didnt have any web templates with charts before?
    Your input is appreciated.
    Regards,
    Jti

  • Line chart - add 3rd value to each datapoint

    I have a chart with stock trades:
    http://www.psychobanker.com/main.php
    I'd like to add the name of the person who made the trade to each value so that when the user hovers with the mouse over the chart, he can see who made the trade. How can I achieve this? Adding another value to the arrayCollection has no effect. The chart always only displays the xvalue and yvalue.
    thanks

    Hi,
    Use dataTipFunction.
    Here is a an example .It has PieChart, but you can do the same thing with line chart.

  • Line Chart - number of values it can chart

    Is there a limit to the number of values the line chart is able to chart?  It appears when too many results are returned the chart truncates the last data points.  When I look at the data all values are present but the chart only charts the first ? values.

    Sam,
    How many values are you trying to plot on a chart.  There is not necesarily a limit but will be limited to the size of your chart and considering you can plot one point per pixel this will depend.  We recommend the option in the iChart of "Use Screen Resolution" as this will limit your data points to the size of the screen otherwise it can get very unsightly and confusing,  if you have a chart which is 640x480 and are bring back 2,000+ datapoints and plotting them this will be very confusing and most likely counter productive.

  • SSRS line chart showing premium change pct over time

  • How to adjust x axis of line chart for dynamic values from universe

    Dear All,
    I am new to SAP Dashboard. I got one requirment that, user will pass single value to universe using prompt in Dashboard. Based on that prompt value / input parameter, universe will deliver data to plot line chart in my canvas. But, on every request i will get different count from universe. Like for request A = 30 records, request B = 56 records, request C = 2 records and so on.
    Based on the count, i want to display line chart in my canvas which will auto fit the screen. (Auto adjustment of X axis e.g For A, last record on x axis should be 30, for B = 56 and for C =2). Please let me know, how can i achive this task?.
    Note : i know, how to plot simple line chat with fix count.

    This is based on the output you get for the selection, get in touch with the functional team and get an idea about maximum no of result set will appear on various selection options. Say example if the functional guy says around 100 then go ahead and map 100 cells for the series.
    Then as arijit said you can use the ignore blank cell option to eliminate the blank rows in the selection.
    Note: Eliminating blank cells will always work at the end of the rows, not in the middle of the rows.

  • Help: matrix report grid lines missing for null values only on server side

    Hi,
    I created a matrix report in pdf format. The output in great when run through report builder locally, it renders all necessary details. However, after the report being moved into AS server, the report does not show grid lines for null values.
    It looks to me this has something to do with configurations and hope someone know what needs to be done.
    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
    Jimmy

    Thanks for replying.
    DESFORMAT is PDF.
    There should be a fix as I had same issue with same Oracle version at my previous company. DBA fixed the issue on AS server.
    I found your post on 09/28/2010 with a link to patch set: Re: Null value fields disappear  in pdf output format
    We worked out with the work around without install the patch.

  • Line chart with mutiple value formats

    Hi,
    I have a chart built with Crystal Reports 2008 with two column lines.  One of the lines represents Quantity and the other line represents Percentage.  I set two Y axis (Y1 for Quantity line and Y2 for Percentage) for the two lines.  My problem is that when I set one of the lines' value format as Percentage, value format of both lines become percentage.  I cannot set one of the line value formats as percentage and the other one as number.  Would you please advise how I can set one of the line's value format on the chart as numbers and the other one as percentage?
    Thanks,
    Al

    Hello Al,
    How exactly are you setting one of the lines' value format as Percentage?
    And what are you setting it to be a percentage of? or are you trying to dsiaply one series data labels with a percentage symbol?

  • Line Chart & "don't summarize"

    Post Author: HelenW
    CA Forum: Charts and Graphs
    I am trying to create a simple line chart showing the value of an integer variable plotted against the time of day (24 hours). My problem is that when I choose the field that I want to plot, the checkbox for "don't summarize" is disabled, and I have no choice but to summarize the data. I am using Crystal Reports XI Release 2. Any suggestions?
    Thx

    Hi Helen,Had the same problem. Interestingly, the solution is that the "Don't Summarize" field is only available for formula fields.If you don't want to summarize a field, create a new formula which returns the value of that field. That should do the trick.Source: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/radhelp/v6r0m1/index.jsp?topic=/com.businessobjects.integration.eclipse.doc.crdesigner/reportdesigner/crurfchartexpertdatatab.htm - Sri

  • Show Timestamp on Y axis in a SSRS line chart.

     I have a column with datatype as timestamp. And i want to show that column on Y axis in a line chart. two sample values from that column are 03/01/2014 11:30 PM and 03/02/2014 12:10 AM. In this case the data point for first value should be less compare
    to the second one, i.e. the series should consider the complete timestamp. Is there a way in SSRS to achieve it.
    If I only take the time value from timestamp on Y axis and plot the chart then the data point for 12:10 AM is less than the 11:30 PM, which is not true in this case.
    ApoorvaW

    Hi ApoorvaW,
    In Reporting Services, if we directly add the Timestamp field to Y Axis, it displays the count values in the line chart. When we modify the expression of the value to [Timestamp], it displays the date value in the Y Axis. Though it displays date type as
    the axis label, it represent the complete timestamp.
    So in my environment, the timestamp display very well in the line chart. If there are any misunderstanding, please elaborate the issue for further investigation.

  • Hiding measure values line chart

    Hie Guys,
    I have a line chart with measure object "X" and dimension "Month". Now, the measure values are going to be zero for all previous months. I do not want those zero values to be displayed in the line chart. Is there a way to do this in Webi? I tried to create a variable to substitute Measure object X.
    Variable = If (Measure Object =0) Then "" Else Measure Object. This did not work as the chart only takes measures and the variable is text. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks.

    Jeewan, Consider this as sample data.
    Now create three variables....
    Month 1 = [M1] Where ([M1]<>0)
    Month 2 = [M2] Where ([M2]<>0)
    Month 3 = [M3]  Where ([M3]<>0)
    Now your data will be
    Right Click on it. Turn into Line Chart. Finally your output is as you required.

  • Get rid of BarChart Legend and create a Horizontal Line on a specific value

    Hey,
    i'm working with BarCharts.
    1st Screen: I want to disable the Legend of my Barchart.

    Second Screen: I want to create a Line in my Barchart on a specific Value like 700 as seen on the screen.
    http://imgur.com/wMo6Tfv,DRiNA9C#1
    Is this Possible ? Also: For what object do i need to set the ID to change the bar's color. i've tried
    Chart barchart;
    barchart.setId("Chart");
    css:
    #barchart
    -fx-background-color: red;
    But it didn't work. Thanks!

    No, you're not missing anything; I had a temporary brain freeze. You can't add Nodes directly to an arbitrary region.
    So this makes it a bit harder. You need to add the line to the container in which your Chart is held, and of course that means you have to figure out the coordinates of the line relative to that container. To simplify it a bit, the axis has a scale property for converting from axis units to screen units, and also according to the css docs, the chart has a child with css class "chart-horizontal-zero-line". So one possible strategy is to grab that line and figure the change in coordinates needed from it. There's still work to do to figure the correct coordinates relative to the container, and if you want it to work with things moving around (such as when the user resizes the window), you need to do a bunch of binding.
    This seems to work:
    import java.util.Arrays;
    import java.util.List;
    import javafx.application.Application;
    import javafx.beans.binding.DoubleBinding;
    import javafx.beans.property.DoubleProperty;

  • Issues with Line Chart

    APEX 4
    Anychart 5
    If I create a new chart region, specify a 2D Line chart, and format my query everything seems to work well. If I add a new data series the chart becomes a 2D Column Chart. I simply want two lines graphed. Once the chart is displayed as a column chart, I cannot get it to display as a Line again unless I delete the object and reconstruct it. I have tried changing it to a 2D column, 2D bar, 3d bar, etc and then change it back to a 2D Line chart and it will only display as a column chart. Anybody else seen this behavior? Anybody got an explination?

    Hi Austin,
    The default setting of the "Series Type" value to correspond with the selected Chart Type, in your case a Line chart, has been resolved as part of a fix for bug 10205497. The fix will be available in our upcoming 4.0.2 patch release. Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention.
