Line cord error on BT6500
During the massive storm last night we were hit and since then my BT6500 single has shown the 'line cord error' message. No incoming or outgoing calls available.
I've done the online line check and BT say that there's no fault, so is it definitely the phone that's dead?
Really can't afford the £129 call out fee if it is likely to be the phone.
(Also, if I do have to replace it, can I just get another base unit or do I have to get a whole new set up?)
Thanks
Try a different phone to see if it works, you can get a cheap corded phone for under £10.
Have you tried all of the tests on this page?

If you have a single phone and base, then you will have to buy the same, but you can register the original phone to the new base, and that will give you two phones.

Broadband perfect but phone shows line cord error
Have bt6500 for 3 months has worked great, now showing line cord error, we cannot phone out, only crackling on line. BT say line is ok, have tried unplugging phone and also the hub but no joy so far. people phoning us, say the phone rings out, but dosen't go to answer phone. Help and advice please as BT are only interested in charging you.
Solved!
Go to Solution.I had a similar problem 10 weeks ago. I have been with BT from their GPO origins. The engineer found that the wiring was wrongly installed, the first junction box into the house was the original GPO .Bakelite junction box with both the master socket and the extension socket wired from that by the GPO. Owing .to this wiring arrangement the engineer claimed that it was NOT possible to test the wiring from the master as recommended in B T 's various help websites and in the front pages of the BT phone book. He identified that there was an earthing fault to extension box, to which the BT supplied router was connected. We disconnected the router from the electric socket and phone junction box and let it "rest" for about 2 minutes. Reconnected it and let it reboot and the phone returned to normal. Off he went and six weeks later I got my statement with £130 added for his visit.
My advice is check your wiring inside your house ensure that the master socket is the first connection on the wiring into it, if it is and B T say your line is clear, then from my experience I would ensure that the router was disconnected from the phone socket and the electrical supply and left for at least 5 minutes, then reconnect it, if the fault is still apparent then try another phone ideally an older bog standard type, without all the latest gizmos. If the fault is still there you have no choice but to call an engineer. Before the engineer arrives I would, unplug the router and physically remove to another place so that It cannot be associated with the fault. If you have an older type of phone I would just have that connected and disconnect the newer phone arrangement and physically remove it also so it cannot be associated with the fault. When the engineer clears the line reconnect in the router and phone before he leaves and ensure that they are working.
Hopefully you will not be charged £130 but you will only know that when your next bill arrives. -
Line Cord Error when connect to Sky+ Box with BT65...
Bought a new Panasonic TV and had to re sort cables took photos and replaced exactly as before. Did connect the new TV to splitter that works fine.
BT 6500 shows Line Cord error as soon as Sky box connected on own, with micro filter, with splitter. No errors prior to today so wonder if doing something daft.
We have 3x 6500s in house is it REN related? But as worked previously a bit odd.
Extension socket behind TV to micro filter - to spliter as before. Plug in cable to SKY plus box and get a line chord error showing on handset. Disconect and fault goes but noticed this fault reported on many forums BT, Virgin ....ANY advice welcome.make sure you have connected the cable to Sky box into correct port.... the sky box has 2... an ethernet port for a cat5 cable ( rj45 bigger port ) and an rj11 port for the phone cord.... the problem is this will fit in both!! but if connected to the ethernet port it will put a loop on line and cause fault on phone line...

LV crashes when I try to save a VI - "fpsane.cpp line 269 error"
Dear LV users:
“Fpsane.cpp, line 269 error”
I have this error when I modify the VI and try to save it. Often I run it once and save it without problem. When I modify it again and try to save it, the error appears and LV crashes.
First I made a 6.0.2 upgrade and later I followed the “solving troubles” procedure at NI home page, like empty the TEMP directory and so on.
Later I sent my VI to NI support and I received the confirmation that they were able to reproduce the error, but not able to isolate it. Also they wrote that “Maybe can be a problem with the charts” and “it could be a bug in LV 6.0.2 which is fixed in LV 6.1”.
They saved my VI as a 6
.1 version and there were no problems (any error).
The problem is:
“ LV 6.1 is the next release (newest version) of LV and it will be released this year (the date is not fixed). That's not an update like LV 6.0.2 but a new version of LV. It must be purchased”
So I have a trouble here. I have some VIs that contains some parts in common. Now they are crashing too. I’m not confident anymore to make tests and modifications, since LV will crash again. What I’m doing after run my VI is exiting LV and open the VI again. Only after I can realize (and save) the modifications. This way is really a pain in a neck....
Please, can someone tell me a good way to isolate this problem or to solve it? I really don’t want to wait LV 6.1 nether to buy it to solve this “bug”....
Thank you in advance
Rodolfo
OS: Nt4 sp 6
LV 6.0.2Dear LV users
Sorry for not have included the VI.
"test time save format.vi" is a learning program that contains some ideas to be used in another one. The error (fpsane.cpp) that appears here also was detected in LV 6. On the first time after grouping/edit some controls.
This error occurs when you modify the VI and try to save it. Often you run it once and save it without problem. When you modify it again and try to save it, the error appears. This is the same problem that happened with 2 other VI, even with one LV original example (after grouping).
The same error happened in another computer (also running NT4). All libraries were rebuilt during the installation of LV 6.02 and the TEMP directory is empty.
I hope that this vi will help us.
Thanks ag

Damaged line cord on Thinkpad 600X AC Adapter
Greetings.
I have an old Thinkpad 600X, which I adore. Got it secondhand -- the first owner used it all day long, I use it all day long, have carried it in my backpack on numerous trips, in a bag on the floor of a Greyhound bus across the country. The sucker just keeps on chugging. Well done, IBM!
The insulation on the line cord (running from AC Adapter to laptop) has become torn. The metallic-looking threads inside (the ground?) that surround the white fiber have become frayed near where the cord plugs into the laptop. I can get power only by pinching the cord together to establish the connection. Better than nothing, but I really need both hands to type.
Looks like the line cord will unplug from the AC Adapter itself, but using moderate pressure to try to pull the cord out has failed to unplug it, and conversations with half a dozen Lenovo support people haven't confirmed that the line cord will unplug from the Adapter.
I'm hoping that some Lenovo person who was around in the old IBM days, or anyone else who's had this problem, can tell me if the cord can be separated from the Adapter. Any chance of being able to get a new line cord somewhere without having to buy the Adapter along with it?
The part number on the AC Adapter is FRU P/N 02K6557. No part number on the line cord.
Thanks for any suggestions.I'm sure it's possible, but there's someone in the Marketplace at TPF who has the adapters for sale for $20.

Hi All
I am working on an requirment where the business needs to block the line item of old purchase order . when they are trying to block they are getting error message due to invalid line item master data at the time of blocking . Since the number of PO's are large it is not possible to process each po and determine the error .
I would like to know if there is any standard report which would let know the line item error of an PO ? If not what would be the best solution to capture those error ?
Regards
AuroHi,
Try with Delivery completed indicator in Delivery tab of old POs, if the intention is to stop procuring the materials in old POS.
Else go for mass maintenance but be very careful and cautious here

Item does not match schdule line ( program error ) message no . V1427
*Item does not match schdule line ( program error ) message no . V1427 .* This is the message I am getting when I am trying to display a quotation through VA23 . From here system exits the transaction .
As per my observation , when I compared VBAP and VBEP tables, there are 2 items in VBEP table with schedule lines but the same items are not present in VBAP table. User says he tried to delete these items because there is no quanity , Inspite of that these items appear in VBEP table .
The document is a reservation document where in schedule line category does TOR and availability check.
I checked various related notes - 442831 , 401463 , 389687 etc . These are quite old notes and I am in release ECC 5.0 .
What is the best way as this doc has nearly 30 items and nearly all of them have quanity confirmed .
Please provide your valuble inputs ...
Regards
Raghav..Nitin,
Below are the steps to check
Transaction SE18
Definition name: BADI_SD_SALES
Menu: Implementation -> Overview
double-click on implementation: IM_CORE_CHECK
Now you will get an overview on the methods.
check whether implementation IM_CORE_CHECK is active or not.
If not Press the change button and activate
looking at the your system pack level this should be active. If it is active then the inconsistency must be modified directly at database level through Z report.

Item does not match schedule line (program error) in sap
Dear Expert.
Greetings!
We are currently facing with this error (V1 427 item does not match schedule line (program error) in sap), when we open the sales order(VA02/03).
The error is occurring due inconsistency on the database tables, some Item is in table VBEP, but it is missing from table VBAP. This is what is causing the error message.
I checked various related notes - 442831 , 401463 , 389687 etc . These are quite old notes and I am in release ECC 6.0 .
Report SD_CONSISTENT_CHECK_EXT and SD_CONSISTENT_CHECK are already available.
Bapi BAPI_SD_SALES is also active.
Please let me know if anybody has any idea on the same.
regards
PraveenHi,

T420 line cord international compatibility with 220v
I recently purchased a T420 and the line cord to the AC power adapter has two white tags; one saying 3A 125V for US and the other saying 3A 127V for Saudi Arabia. On the end of the cord which you plug into the AC adapter it is written in raised letters VAC7S 3A 125V-. The AC adapter it self is rated for 110-240V. My concern is the line cord as I figure there is a reason for noting the 125V and 127V usage.
I called Lenovo tech support who sent me to post-sales support who sent me back to tech support who sent me back to post-sales support who sent me to pre-sales support. No one could assure me that the line cord was compatible with 220V. One person advised me to carry an adapter, another told me to purchase a 220 to 120 power converter, another told me he thought the line cord would work but could not guarantee that it would function correctly (my thinking is it might melt down and cause a short or fire) and another person suggested I visit the Lenovo website and purchase a line cord and AC adapter for international use.
Has anyone purchased a Thinkpad T420 in the US with a North American Country pack power supply (no other choice given at the time of purchase) with the 125V tag attached and then used that equipment in a country with 220 voltage? Any problems?KMF wrote:

The reason for the notice is to specifically advise you that the AC cord is safety compliance rated for those voltages. If you need to use the power adapter for the higher AC voltages that the adapter is safety compliance rated for, and you are concerned about regulatory compliance issues, or other possible OH&S risks, you need to use an AC cord which is safety compliance rated for the AC main voltages concerned.
The AC power cords used for ThinkPad power adapters are standard types and cords safety compliance rated to suit local voltages are readily available, usually at quite modest cost, from electronics (and similar) stores in most countries.
If regulatory compliance issues or other possible safety risks are not significant issues for you, then in practice the 125V cords do appear to work OK with up to 240V AC mains power....... but you need to understand that you are running them outside of their safety compliance rating and no one should ever officially recommend that you do that.
My personal solution is toI carry 240V AC rated power cords with my Thinkpads and use adapters at the power outlet end of the cord to access the local mains voltage from the outlet..... that way I can be confident that there will be no latent safety issues with possible insulation failure in any location that I may need to use my ThinkPads.
Cheers,
Bill
I don't work for Lenovo -
I use Imacros. I got this error NS_ERROR_UNEXPECTED: Component returned failure code: 0x8000ffff (NS_ERROR_UNEXPECTED) [nsIPrefBranch.getCharPref], line 3 (Error code: -1001). I think it is because of this version of mozilla firefox 28.0. I read I should downgrade the version to 27, but I have read it is not safety. Will the problem will be resolve? if not I think I should take the risk...
hello abmporras, please report the issue to the developer's of the addon through the support channels listed at https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/imacros-for-firefox/. they should be able to address the issue better.

What can I do for a reoccuring Line 33 error?
I keep getting a Line 33 error when I try to close one of my pop-up sub-menus. I've programmed a "Settings" window to pop up and close when I choose the "Continue" option on its menu. And it pops up ok, but then everytime I try to close it, it calls up a line 33 error and closes all of LabVIEW. I'm attaching the Failure_log.txt from this program. What can I do?

Failure_log.txt 1 KBdsoakley,
There is a published KnowledgeBase for this error in using LabVIEW 6.1. You can get to it here.
You may also want to post what file had the error instead of having to look inside the failure log and give a better description of what you VI does and what it calls. I would also include what version of LabVIEW you are using. It is best to give more information than what you think is needed so that this forum can be the most helpful.

Has anybody experienced this issue?
We have opened a Service Request with Oracle but so far there is no resolution. This issue occurs intermittently. It is NOT consistent. We have advised the user base with the following workarounds to over this bug:
1. The system administrator shall clear the cache using Functional Administrator responsonsibility
OR
2. Advise the application user to sign-off from Oracle Applications and allow 5 minutes before they sign-in again.
Any help or advise in the matter is appreciated.
Thank you.
{color}Check these things
