Line Cord Error when connect to Sky+ Box with BT65...

Bought a new Panasonic TV and had to re sort cables took photos and replaced exactly as before. Did connect the new TV to splitter that works fine.
BT 6500 shows Line Cord error as soon as Sky box connected on own, with micro filter, with splitter. No errors prior to today so wonder if doing something daft. 
We have 3x 6500s in house is it REN related? But as worked previously a bit odd. 
Extension socket behind TV to micro filter - to spliter as before. Plug in cable to SKY plus box and get a line chord error showing on handset. Disconect and fault goes but noticed this fault reported on many forums BT, Virgin ....ANY advice welcome. 

make sure you have connected the cable to Sky box into correct port.... the sky box has 2... an ethernet port for a cat5 cable ( rj45 bigger port ) and an rj11 port for the phone cord.... the problem is this will fit in both!! but if connected to the ethernet port it will put a loop on line and cause fault on phone line...

    note: The blog you followed is referring to SP03 (1st GA of SMP3)..You should not have any problem in connecting to Oracle DB being on any SP.

    Its all dependent on the application and whether its 32-bit or 64-bit.  For example, SSRS reporting services 2008 R2 is a 64-bit application, so load the 64-bit oracle client there for report execution.  Report builder is a 32-bit client application,
    assuming its running on a different machine, so load the 32-bit oracle client on any user computers using RB 3.0 and working with Oracle.  If the computers are one in the same, then do as the post above says, load both...

    The issue related with your host entries under /etc/hosts file .
    java.net.UnknownHostException: sapsleora: sapsleora
    The exception is really saying is that there is no known server with the name "local".As per me you're trying to connect to your local computer. Try with the hostname "localhost" instead, or perhaps 127.0.0.1/::1
    Your host file entries would be like as below:
    127.0.0.1   localhost.localdomain   localhost
    <IP-address of your server>   <hostname of your system>
    Save the host file & retry the SWPM.Hope this time you'll get the successful execution.

    The oracle error ORA-12154 is a "TNS:could not resolve service name" error. This is what I get when I type oerr ora 12154:

    I have a Server with RDGW, RDCB, RDWA. Then I have an other Server with RDSH installed. I published some Apps from the RDSH. When I logon now, I can see the WebApps on the Website.
    If I start a WebApp, I get the connection Information:

    Type: RemoteApp-Programm
    Path: Calc
    Name: Calculator
    Remote Computer: RDSH name (is unknown for the client, But the RDGW knows this server from DNS)

    Then I get an Error:

    All Certificates are trusted (I don't get any certificate error message).

  • Broadband perfect but phone shows line cord error

    Have bt6500 for 3 months has worked great, now showing line cord error, we cannot phone out, only crackling on line. BT say line is ok, have tried unplugging phone and also the hub but no joy so far. people phoning us, say the phone rings out, but dosen't go to answer phone. Help and advice please as BT are only interested in charging you.

    I had a similar problem 10 weeks ago. I have been with BT from their GPO origins.The engineer found that the wiring was wrongly installed, the first junction box into the house was the original GPO .Bakelite junction box with both the master socket and the extension socket wired from that by the GPO. Owing .to this wiring arrangement the engineer claimed that it was NOT possible to test the wiring from the master as recommended in B T 's various help websites and in the front pages of the BT phone book. He identified that there was an earthing fault to extension box, to which the BT supplied router was connected. We disconnected the router from the electric socket and phone junction box and let it "rest" for about 2 minutes. Reconnected it and let it reboot and the phone returned to normal. Off he went and six weeks later I got my statement with £130 added for his visit.
    My advice is check your wiring inside your house ensure that the master socket is the first connection on the wiring into it, if it is and B T say your line is clear, then from my experience I would ensure that the router was disconnected from the phone socket and the electrical supply and left for at least 5 minutes, then reconnect it, if the fault is still apparent then try another phone ideally an older bog standard type, without all the latest gizmos. If the fault is still there you have no choice but to call an engineer. Before the engineer arrives I would, unplug the router and physically remove to another place so that It cannot be associated with the fault. If you have an older type of phone I would just have that connected and disconnect the newer phone arrangement and physically remove it also so it cannot be associated with the fault. When the engineer clears the line reconnect in the router and phone before he leaves and ensure that they are working.
    Hopefully you will not be charged £130 but you will only know that when your next bill arrives.

    Yes i am hoping staff here will look into things, even if i can not get the speeds back what i previously had for near 6 months it would be nice to know why i can not and why the download has dropped by around 10Mb and why my upload is now inconsistant.
    Ironically the post concerned got edited because i actually posted the full rather silly reply the Indian call centre made babbling on about down rates rather than the uprate i queried with them.
    Bit of a shambles really no real way on BTs web site to contact anyone with regards to broadband issues.
    The form which you kindly suggested and i appreciated your help ended up in the hands of someone who either did not bother to read the query or just had such a poor grasp of English they did not understand the query.
    Pretty pathetic really when BT are the largest telco in the UK. I think ill be taking my broadband business elsewhere regardless at the end of my 18 month contract, while im sure staff here are wonderful and may even yet help me, i do not particularly want to go through the almost like pulling teeth pain of getting any future issue looked at.
    They are great at quickly fixing voice line problems and have a great test on their site. Broadband side of things and support for that though seems a shambles.

    1) Did you try shutting down apache with the sript?
    2) When killing the httpd processes did you also kill the associated java processes?

  • Mag Safe power cord sparks when connected or disconnected--whereupon the MacBook Pro 13'' dumps date and time, and all passwords, plus any/all unsaved information.

    I purchased my MacBook Pro 13" from the Apple Store in Tucson, AZ, in mid-January. Since then, every time the Mag-Safe cord is jostled, not even disconnected, sparks fly from the power terminal on the computer, the computer shuts down, and dumps its passwords, as well as the date and time.
    Any work in progress is also lost.
    I work overseas, and Apple's advice was to give them my credit card number, await shipment of a new power supply and cord, and then, when I return the old power supply and cord, i'd receive a credit. That won't work, as packages from the US to my location take weeks if they arrive at all. There is no Apple Store within a reasonable distance. Or, Apple suggests, when I'm home on leave in mid-June, I should bring the computer to the Apple Store for repair--I have only days in which to do that, but I suppose I'll need to try. My concern is that I'll need to return overseas without my computer and won't be able to retrieve it for months, until my next leave.
    This issue shows up elsewhere online. Is there a short in the power terminal in the computer, or on the Mag-Safe power cord, or within the computer itself? It's a known issue, thus I wonder why it hasn't been fixed.

  • Error when connecting to terminal

    Hello,
    I have a BB 8100, Desktop manager 4.6.
    Synchronization was working correctly 3-4 weeks ago.
    Today, when I tried to synchronize, I had this error message:
    0 x 80040fb3
    I tried to debug this with the procedure of modifying Last name, first name, etc.... with no success
    I tried several time to synchronize again but without success.
    Now, the situation is even worse!
    New message when I connect my BB to my computer. When I launch Desktop manager, I have the following error:
    "Error when connecting to terminal. Make sure that your terminal is correctly connected, then try again"
    I can not anymore try to synchronize!
    This is very strange, it never happened before.
    Nevertheless, Desktop Manager recognize my BB, as I can read on the buttom left part of the screen: Terminal connected (code Pin) recognized xxxxxx.

    Usually, when I connect this device, it will directly open the GPS sofware ( where I can download the new updating stuff). But since this Blackberry problem, I can not do it anymore. Impossible to connect the TOMTOM onto it. It is not recognize onto my computer.
    For information, I also do synchronization of my adress book between my phone and TOMTOM.

    Hi,
    I got "Image Server Login Error" when connecting with client to server from different LAN, server is up, and i can connect to it when i in the same LAN. Ports 20003, 20004, 20005 for MDM server discovering and repository port 2345 is accessible through router. Running SP2 5.5.24.06.
    Rem: it's not a port problem, when port 2345 is closed i got "WinSock error on connect"
    PS: When I used MDM SP1 i connected to him properly in the same case.

    If your repository is set to port 2345, then 4 subsequent ports should be openned also, i.e. 2346-2349.
