Line-in not working with Xfi extreme audio pci-e

Hi,
im trying to play my xbox360 on my computer, the video with my winfast dtv000T is ok, but whenI try to get the sound by connecting the xbox360 sound in one of the two mic/line-in I get nothing (tried in K!TV, Winfast PVR, DScaler). Im running XP SP3. I can use teamspeak with the mic but I dont know why when I try to use the line in for sound capture its not working at all (its working with my onboard soundcard, but I prefer my xfi). I connect my xbox to the blue female jack 3.5.
here are my settings:
Output:

I dont know what to do :/
anyone have an idea what is causing this ?
thx in advance

Under applications there is this version: [url="http://forums.creative.com/t5/forums/replypage/board-id/soundblaster/message-id/#">Creative Console Launcher 2.40.09?[/url]
My line-in worked as this is the entertainment mode that?you can turn on your Line-in under the mixer tab. Problem is, when I play my guitar there is quite a latency that is unbearable (.05) for a guitarist. I don't know if this should bother your application for it.

  • Line-in not working with microphone?

    Line-in not working with microphone.
I have Mac Mini Intel 1.83 GHz with 10.4.8
I have tried plugging 3 microphones into the line-input on the back, also on my wife's Mac Mini (same model, os), but I cannot get to record into the Mac.
I've been into System Prefs and set input to Line In and slid the Input Volume to high, but nothing.
I know the Microphones work because if I plug them into a Griffin USB/mini jack adaptor and do it that way by selecting iMic USB audio system from the Input in System Prefs all works fine.
But I need to use the mic with the Line-In.
Any ideas why this is not working?

The line input on the mini requires a 'line-level' signal, so the only microphones that work are ones that have an amplified output. Standard mics don't generate enough voltage to drive the mini's amplifiers.
That's the reason the mics work with the Griffin device (it has an amplifier) but not the mini directly.

  • Line-in not working with new driv

Has anyone else had issues with the line-in jack not working with new drivers? Is there a way to get it to work??Very frustrated. Is there a link to the beta drivers, they worked better for me then the new one.

  • Purchased XFI extreme audio PCIe for someone and it won't install on vista 32

The hardware isn't detected and thus cannot be installed. I had the same problem with my fatality titanium but at least there was a patch download for windows 7 so the card can be detected. No such patch exists for the extreme audio PCIe which means the card won't install under windows vista or windows 7.
Am I missing something or what? I have read other similar complaints about this particular XFI.

    EUREKA!
Reading the bowls of the post just below, It said to make sure shockwave was enabled. It wasn't!! I enabaled it and tried my web sites and things worked fine.
Thanks to those that post helpful answers

  • Line In Not working with skype mic anymore

    Sorry here is another question.
I was using a headset mic with skype. It was working just fine until I did an update now the line in is no longer working. I am a professional sound guy and I understand the difference between line in and mic in and I would buy that if it wasnt for the fact that it did work at one time. The input is switched to line in and the volume is up. Also the line in does work when I plug in my guitar and run it into garage band. Any ideas?
    Thanks all

Check the Audio Preferences in Skype to make sure they are set for what you want. Also make sure you are using the latest version of Skype, I believe it is 2.7.0.49.

  • 1.5 TB Seagate drive will not work with Airport Extreme.

I have a 1.5 TB external drive connected to airport extreme.  I cannot get this drive to be recognizedby the computers connected to the Airport Extreme.  The drive show up as "-1.4 TB - Seagate FreeAgent 0138"  under disks in Airport Utility can plug it in directly to my Mac Air and a PC and the drive will work. When I plug the drive in directly to a PC or Mac Air,  it is recognized and can be used.
I can plug in a 250 GB external drive into the Airport extreme and they will work.
Also,  the 1.5 TB works when plugged locally to a PC or Mac using USB.
Anyone know how to get it to work with the Airport Extreme?

Assuming that the drive has been formatted in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) or MS-DOS FAT32, you almost always need to use a powered hub with a drive attached to the USB port on the AirPort Extreme...even if the drive has its own power supply.....because the USB port is under powered and will not supply enough current to most hard drives.

  • 5.1 not working with xfi plati

hey there well i got the xfi platinum and my 5. isnt working? Its weird the rear speakers work fine but the front ones dont (center and woofer works)?got it working before but that took (hours) of restarting replugging things in configuring etc and it's kinda ridiculous because 2 5. systems same problems (cables have been swapped)?anyone else having this issue? i plug the rear speakers (black cable) to the port for the front and that works vice versa etc but still no 5. kinda sucks...
    any kind of input?

    Hi Killswitch,
Did you ever solve this problem? I'm having the exact same issue. Front Left and Front Right Speakers are not working.
It seems some problem with the card because I tried switching the cables and the speakers are working.
    Hope you can help!
    Thanks!

  • Line-height not working with flash and css

I'm using dynamic text in Flash with CSS, but line-height
doesn't seem to be working with. Is it supported? If not, what is a
work around to get my text to look they way I want?

I believe this is due to a corrupt file in your profile. You can confirm this if you create a new temporary Firefox profile ([http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing+profiles managing profiles]) and if the problem disappears.
To fix this problem (hopefully), do this:
    - access ''about:support'' in your location bar
    - click ''Open Containing Folder''
    - close Firefox
    - delete the file ''downloads.sqlite'' (send it to the recycle bin, if, for any reason, you want to get it back later)
    - start Firefox
Now the problem should be solved. I believe it's simply a matter of this file having become corrupt. For whatever reason. It's really unfortunate, but I hope this fixes the issue.

  • PC Internet Not Working with Airport Extreme

Hey guys, just got a new Airport Extreme to replace my old one. Me and my brother's MacBook's both work in terms of the internet, but my dad's PC's internet will not work. It is connected to the Airport, but has no internet access. Any ideas? Thanks.

Apple's support section (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306256) says "How to enable Cisco VPN connections
You should use Cisco's VPN client software to establish a Cisco VPN connection via an AirPort Extreme base station. Note: In the Cisco VPN client preferences, make sure the "NAT-T" option is enabled.
Note: Some corporate firewall configurations may cause issues with the Cisco VPN software.
Please contact AppleCare support if you are unable to contact a Cisco VPN server via Cisco VPN client software and an AirPort Extreme base station.
I'm experiencing the same thing. DellLatitude D610. Netgear rangemax wireless PC card (WPN511). I can connect to the internet but I try to vpn into work I get half way through the connection process and get an error which states" Secure VPN Connection terminated locally by the Client. Reason 412: The remote peer is no longer responding. I've spent 2 hours trying different settings. I really want to stick w/the apple product but will have to return it if I can't get it to work. I need cisco vpn via wintel for work.

  • Mac filter not working with Airport Extreme

I setup my new AEBS and for whatever reason when I setup the Mac filter it still will let the desired user in with the key. I have both the wireless N and the wireless G (guests) setup and it doesn't seem to work with the G for sure, unfortunately I don't have any other wireless N capable units so I don't know if it works with N. I would assume that it would block all other Mac addresses if I select "No Access." Please help, and no I do not have any extensions of it, it's just the Extreme as the single wireless access point in our house with WPA security. Thanks!

I had the same problem. On the MAC access panel in Airport Utility, click on the default user and then use the drop down menu below and click no access. Any of the added IDs you have added you can still put 24 hour access and only those users can connect to the network.
The default is set for all access, so unless you change this, no matter how many separate IDs you add, it will let anyone on if they have a password.
I didn't figure this out for years, but now it works the way I thought it was working all along...

  • Linksys gaming adapter not working with Airport Extreme

Hey guys, just installed Airport Extreme 802.11n for my new MBP notebook and I have 3 laptops Apple and PC that work great! BUT! I have an Xbox with Linksys gaming adapter and the gaming adapter is not picking up the airport at all! Before the Airport I had a Linksys wireless router and it has worked with the gaming adapter for the last 3 years flawlessly. Does anybody know why the gaming adapter is not finding it?

  • Line in not working with a Mic on Vista but working wth10.5

    Hi,
I use everyday my headphone with a microphone everyday with Skype without any problems on 10.5. I just pluged the mic in the Line in input and headhone in the Line out.
But under Vista 32 bits, the mic isn't working at all, I don't have a sound when I speak in the mic, and in the Audio panel of Vista, the line in Setup button is unavailable (but it is for the built-in mic).
If I invert the mic and headphone in the entries (I mean physicaly), and speak loudly in the headphone, I have a level...
    Honnestly, I don't understant.
For information, I still have the last beta drivers, I just saw that the 10.5 DVD have the last drivers (and it seems 64bit drivers, yeahh!)
Thank you in advance for your help!

I am searching for a answer myself and came across this link:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=161009&highlight=microphonelinein
Basically it sounds like we may have to use a USB Mic.. Not sure if you've come up with anything better. If you did, please post.

  • Airport card does not work with Airport Extreme when security is turned on

I have an iMac running OSX 10.4.11 with an Airport card installed (firmware version 9.52).
I recently replaced my Netgear wireless router with an Apple Extreme Base station and now I am not able to connect my iMac to the wireless network when WEP security is turned on - I get an error from the Airport Setup Assistant when I attempt to connect to the wireless network.
It works fine if the wireless security on the Extreme Base station is turned off.
Please help and thanks in advance.
    Motasim

First, I highly recommend that you switch to either WPA or WPA2 as WEP is no longer considered secure. If you must use WEP, I suggest that you try the following:
o Re-create the Network Name (SSID) on your AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBS)
o Try using 128-bit WEP, with a 26-Hex character key for the encryption type.

  • Pc will not work with Airport Extreme LAN connection

I have setup my Aiport Extreme Base Station and my Mac and phone work just fine with the setup. However, I connected a PC directly to one of the LAN ports on the back, and the PC doesn't see the network. Above the port the light is blinking green. Any thoughts?

Is the AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBS) the only router in your current network configuration? That is, it is connected directly by Ethernet to your Broadband Internet modem? ... or to another router between the AEBS and the modem?
When connected by Ethernet to the AEBS, can the PC "see" the Mac or vice-versa?

  • Microphone not working with XFi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro

    Lo all,
I bought a new PC last week: OS is Vista Ultimate 64 bit, headset is Sennheiser PC350, soundcard is as per subject line to this thread. The sound is working fine - awesome in fact. But when I went to configure Ventrilo I realised that my mic was not communicating. I tried a recording but it would appear that the mic is not currently being detected. I went into the Control Panel/Sound and can see that no mic is being detected. Assuming my headset is working fine how do I tackle this? Is this a detection issue? Is this a volume/mute?
    Any and all help,
    LK.

    Anyone able to help?
    LK.
