Line level approval for Vouchers ?

Hello,
Can someone tell me whether it is possible to have vouchers approved by Line. Meaning different approvers for different voucher lines?
If yes, where can I find how to do it?
I tried adding the Line Level in the Transaction registery for the process ID VoucherApproval and I could select 'Line' in in my approval process setup but I always get the message 'No approval required'...

Hi Mano,
if you use approval. It will be approved by steps. Next step will not be started until previous completely done. In your case 1st Item should wait until all other items processed.

Custom AWE Line Level Approval Issues

Has anyone had success creating custom AWE Line Level Approval? I’m having trouble trying to get the method for line approval to fire. I have header level working so I decided to dig deeper. I added the line keys to the Xref table, Updated the Registry, Configured the Events, and created a new Process Definition using line level (very simple “Always True”). I have seen OnProcessLaunch fire so my routing has begun. The graphics look good. But when my approver goes in and hits the Approve button, it saves and nothing happens to the approval. Tracing it shows that no methods are firing. How does the system know to fire the line level method vs the header level method? Any ideas are appreciated.

the same as the id of the field I was trying to update.
because you can't see the generated source it did not jump
out at me. then I backed some code out and my radio button lit up.
for a second I could not figure out for the life of me why
it would do that. then I remembered that in IE it will also use the

N level-Approval for contract workflow (WS14000148) in SRM

I want to activate N level-Approval for contract workflow (WS14000148) in SRM
When I am creating the contract in SRM I can see the approvers in the approval preview.
But when I release the contract and look at the approval privew there are no approvers
and the status of the contract is released.
We are on SRM Server 5.5 and SP 07.
Here what I did
1. I implemented the BADI 'BBP_WFL_APPROV_BADI' using the sample implementation and populated the approvers.
2. I activated events SAVED,CHANGEVERSIONSAVED for WS14000148 in OOCU transaction.
3. I see event linkages for WS14000148 for both events SAVED,CHANGEVERSIONSAVED in SWE2 transaction.
4. I assigned role SAP_EC_BBP_PURCHASER to for subworkflow N step for contract WS14000147.
( User who is creating contract has this role)
5. Consistency check for WS14000148 is green and WS14000147 is yellow in SWUD
6. Event simulation for BUS2000113 and events SAVED,CHANGEVERSIONSAVED shows WS14000148 successfully started.
I see dump in ST22 with errors TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED and SYSTEM_NO_SHM_MEMORY with WF-BATCH is this any thing to do with that?
If any one know what are the steps I am missing please let me know.

2 level approval for workflow

Hi all,
I am supposed to make an EP workflow for 2 level approval for absences or leaves. I am using a copy of workflow WS12300111. I am able to get the single level of approval, but not the second level. When the request goes to the second approver ( which is the supervisor of first approvar), it shows the leave requests of the first approvar and when I check the workplace of the employee who applied for the leave, his leave has the status 'approved'.
In other words, when the first supervisor or approvar approves the request, it gets approved and second approvar has no option to approve it again. Please suggest what to do?
In my tasks for approval, I am using the class - CL_PT_REQ_WF_ATTRIBS and the method APPROVE. Is that correct???
Is there any other standard workflow which I can refer to?

1. Yes, but would suggest to use new process controlled workflow.
2. No, Cost center is not a split criteria for PO creation. Of course you can overwrite it with ABAP.

Are you using application controlled workflow or process controlled workflow?
For process controlled workflow you can refer to the SRM 7.0 Workflow guide:

Page 16, Approval Processes in SAP SRM; you will understand possibilities of SRM 7.0 process controlled workflow and then decide which one you need.

This has few example classes/BADI implementation for agent determination which you can refer to.

AME Line Level Approval -- Oracle Quality

Hi All,
In Oracle Quality module I have create one parent plan and a child plan is associated with it. After multiple lines are entered in the child plan (Approver details is stored as one of the collection result in this plan) and later when the parent plan is saved, line level AME approval based on the approvers in the child plan should initiated. The final e-signature status should be at the header level, such that once all the lines have been approved i.e. parallely approved, the header record status should change to "APPROVED".
I had tried the header level approval approach, but in this case the approval flow for approvers could be done, but the only issue is that it was done serially.
Is there a way to achieve this in AME? Kindly help.

Apologies for the late response, have only just spotted the question.
You will need to register "line-item job-level chains of approval" under payables transaction type before you can select it from the picklist:
Setup\Action Types\"Use Existing Action Type" button, then select action type and continue.

Determining second level approver for travel expense claim workflow

In Travel Expense claim workflow,we are using two level Approval.The employee has to enter his data for expense claim through ESS..Then expense claim is submitted and sent via workflow to the Travel department. Travel Dept verifies the expenses against the bill and approves the claim by selecting the next level approver and attaching the scanned copies of the bill.
I made copy from the standard workflow WS20000040.
How can i select the next level appover in first level approval step???
Is there any FM or BAPI or BADI???

I have small tricky workaround to find out the second level of approver.The Standard Rule available can reused again by passing manager's Position.i.e
After first level completed , store manager position in container variable and pass it to the same task rule so the task is sent to the manager's approver .

Line level dock for ipod classic

In trying to figure out the best way to connect my ipod classic to my small Denon 30w stereo I've been experimenting. I have an old Apple branded dock I found in a drawer from 2004 when I bought my first Ipod, a 20g 2nd generation Ipod, the first one that came with the clickwheel. It has a line level output in the back, and it seems to work fine with the classic, as a matter of fact, with the Ipods volume and the stereos volume at the same levels it is at least 30-40% louder (and clearer) than using the typical headphone jack connection. But the line level plug on this dock is a little fidgety, bump it and one speaker goes out, you have to jiggle and/or twist the cable just so to recover, obvously it's a loosened connection inside the jack...so I go to Best Buy and get an offbrand dock that comes with a remote that was on clearance (it's a clone of Apples universal dock), it has a line level out as well, looks very much the same as the Apple dock. I assumed that a line level dock from any brand would be the same, since its sending a clean unamplified signal to the stereo (isn't it?), however the quality of the audio coming from this dock was about equal or even worse than the headphone jack, I really have to crank the volume on the stereo to get the same sound, and it just doesnt sound as good. I was surprised, I didnt think there was a lot going on in these docks, just routing the ipods signal to the stereo. Am I wrong here? Will springing $60 for Apples universal dock be the best option?

I connected my ipod classic to my maranz av receiver by apple dock. For best sound it is crucial to connect by dock input not audio out (earphones) ! For that i use apple component AV cable.
