Line off for 31 days, no help from BT, what to do ...

My company's phone line has been off for for 31 days. We now have been able to have calls divered to our credit card terminal's line, but that's obviously intefering with our ability to process cards. Now we can't make or receive calls when cards are being processed and can't process cards when we are making or receiving calls.
Phone orders aren't as important for us as they would be for many other businesses but we are still a couple of thousand down compared to last August, and this certainly has helped.
I've phoned BT Repairs so many times, waiting up to thirty minutes to get through to someone, and each time been promised my phone line would be fixed that day, only for nothing at all to happen.
I'm sure if we were a new customer we could have had a new line connected in a flash but BT clearly places far less value on their long time customers. I presume you think because we've remained with you for over 20 years I'm willing to put up with anything and will never leave.
What is there that I can do to actually get my phone number back online? Who can I contact?

I am looking for information about who you go to when you've exhausted all options with BT Business (or indeed any part of BT) and need to escalate it to the very top which presumably would be the same people residential customers in my situation would have to contact.
I doubt I will get much help on the BT business forum which from the look of it seems to attract only a handful of posters a month, most of them in similar situations to me who get no response from other users let alone any BT employees.
If it helps you can imagine that I’m a residential customer who’s had no phone for a month, phoned BT Faults every couple of days and after 30 minutes of queuing each time been promised my phone would be back on later that day and every day nothing at all happens. Then imagine that nobody at customer service will return calls or do a thing for me and I look no closer to getting my phone back on today than I did a month ago. Who do I now contact?

    If you purchased all of the songs through itunes store, please follow these steps:
    1. Open up Itunes and Click on Itunes Store
    2. Once you're in the Itunes Store look to right side of the screen and you should see the word "purchased". Click purchased and you'll be sent to a purchase screen.
    3. Click on "All Songs" and then it will show all the songs you've downloaded. From there you just hit the button that looks like a cloud with an arrow on it, and it will download all the songs all over again.
    If you didn't purchase them through Itunes, then you'll have to download software that will strip the songs from your iPod onto your computer. And here is a guide about how to transfer iPod music to iTunes. Hope it helps.

  • My track pad is not working. The computer has been off for 10 days and I changed the batteries

    Can someone help me with my iMac track pad?  My computer has been off for 10 days and when I turned it on the curser will not move.  The green light on the track pad would come on then off so i replaced the batteries in the track pad but it still does not work.  Not sure if the grandchildren were on it over the holidays could something be locked on the keyboard?

    1. Make sure that battery is in normal condition.
    2. Shut down the computer.
        Clean the trackpad with moist not wet microfiber cloth.
        System Preferences > Point & Click
        Try turning off three finger dragging and then turning it on after  testing.
    3. Is there any Bluetooth device nearby with failing batteries? If so, replace the batteries.
      4. Reset PRAM:   http://support.apple.com/kb/PH14222
    5. Reset SMC.     http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
        Choose the method for:
        "Resetting SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own".
    6. Close all windows and quit all applications.
        Click the Spotlight -the magnifying glass icon- in the menu bar. Enter Disk utility in the box.
        Select Disk Utility. When the Disk utility window opens up,
        select  Macintosh HD, then First Aid.
        Click Repair Disk  Permission
        Ignore the  time remaining estimate.
        Last 1 minute may take longer.

    Hello, I need help with the Lion as the beaset seems to be wild!    I have been having little bugs since I installed Lion and most have been solvable by help from people like you and your on-line posts.    My Lion has been indexing, first time, for the last day and a half!     Can you PLEASE HELP  me solve this problem as I am having trouble doind any other operation and cannot stop the indexing!   I was thinbking about going back to Snow Leopard as I did not have any problems with that OS but I do like many of Lion's features.       Any help would be apprecited!

    Do you use a Time Capsule? If so, connect to it with an Ethernet cable and reboot. Enter Time Machine and then exit. It should finish rebuiling the index in a couple of hours. If the problem persists, erase your Time Capsule.

    Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
    You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
    You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app (or video app) on your iOS device.
    If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

    We are using windows 7 64-bit. Here is a screen shot of the error that we are getting. It is just this computer.
    I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Adobe several times and it will work for the day and then get the error the next day.
    I have the power options to never turn off hard disk and never sleep. Any help would be great.

  • Calendar Shows Appointment for Every Day please help

    First off, I'm a Microsoft .NET programmer and I LOVE my IPhone, my IPod and my Shuffle!
    My IPhone Calendar shows the little "dot" for every day, even when I don't have appointments.
    Can someone please help me get the dots off so I can look at my calendar and tell when I have events scheduled?

    When I click on the day it says "No Events".
    I have people's birthday's that occur every year if that's what you mean by reoccurring, but who doesn't have that in their calendar?
    I can take the date back to 1997 to way before I started entering appointments and it still shows the "dots".
    The things I've read explain the "dots" mean I have an appointment on that day.
    I appreciate the help so far. Solving this would be a great improvement for my calendar!

  • Phone turns off for no reason! Help!

    I've got a Nokia 6300 phone. For some reason, all of a sudden, its been turning its self off for no reason. When i switch my phone on, it starts up like normal, but then a letter 'G' in a box appears in the top left hand corner of the screen, along with a yellow envelope which rotates and turns into a paperclip. Then the screen turns white and the phone turns itself off. This seems to happen everytime i turn my phone on now, i have restored the factory setting, but this has not solved the problem. Can anybody help??? cheers.

    Thanks to everyone who has had input into this problem for me. I now have my phone working again. What did I do...?
    1st I got two of my smarter younger brothers to help and they proceeded to try a variety of things including:-
    a) swapping batteries from their phone with mine, which didn't work
    b)swapping SIM cards with mine, which also didn't work but did allow us to have a longer play around with my phone as it didn't turn off when a different SIM was in the phone
    What worked? We decided to "Restore factory settings" on my phone. My phone doesn't remove Contacts, Calendar entries and one other personal item which I can't recall when you use this function but we still saved my contacts to one of my brothers SIMs and also moved a number of photos, recordings, and video over to my memory card.
    Once this was done I put my SIM back in then restored the factory settings. There was just enough time to get to this function, just note that if you do this function you may need to have your "Security Code" handy.
    I don't think that there is any conspiracy with the phone companies (I'm with Virgin Mobile), but what I think happened was that my Brother in Law sent me a Xmas message that had some inbuilt functionality (packet data??) that my phone needed to download to view it. I think this was the cause because when my brother's SIM was in my phone I received a msg on my phone that read "Unable to receive msg from..." and I select "OK" which I think rejected it.
    Hope this help someone out in the future? Hope that I haven't been to vague. Let me know if you would like any more info.

  • Calendar display issues for "All Day Events" coming from Exchange Server

    My problem is with the display of All Day events. I'm running a 3gs, Outlook 2007 on winxp, connected to a Exchange 2007 server. When an all day event is put in for multiple days the phone calendar displays it as starting at midnight going to midnight, and sometimes wont display the event on the list view on the phone. I can correct the display by editing it on the phone and making it all day there, but then the category I assigned the event in outlook goes away in outlook. All day single day events work just fine. Any suggestions?

    Sort of same issue:
    All day events scheduled from Entourage display incorrectly on iPhone/iPad as non-all-day events (which block out entire day/multiple days)
    All day events scheduled from iPhone/iPad show up correctly in Entourage as all-day events, but incorrectly with an *extra day* added.

    Hi, I used webos doctor 2 days ago and when I restarted and try to activate touchpad with my old account, It said " we were unable to sign you in, please try again in few minutes or contact hp for help resolving this problem" I tried many times already, always gave me the same message...
    well, when I tried another account I just created,it worked (and I performed the full erase under the account and tried to log in with old old account, still not working) .. but I have purchased a lot apps in my old account and don't want to spend the money again.
