Line on ipad 3 screen from front camera

Ive been looking on the forum but not found anything yet.
I have a line on my screen but only when i use the front camera for pics, skype and facetime. Back cam is good.
It will show on the pic if you take a pic so thinking the lens is busted a bit.
I bought it from comet who are now bust so wondering if There is a fix i can do, other than turn on and off, or if i have to visit an apple store as only bought 3 months ago.

Except I didn't buy it from an Apple store and the place I got it from has a "no questions asked" 14 day return policy. Here's a picture that I took. It's a bit harder to see with the screen glare but you can definitely see it.

Colored and white lines across iPad screen

Ok so I got home from work and I pulled my iPad out of my laptop bag and I noticed that when I turn it on there are like these colored lines and also this big white bar across the screen. Why are those things there?

My son bought the original ipad in November 2010, it is now only a few weeks out of warranty. He turned it on tonight and as other people have mentioned on this forum the ipad now has coloured lines across the screen. I called customer services and I must say i am extrememly disappointed with the response I got. They offered me a replacement for £260..... no other explanation other than it may be a hardware problem. After paying £600 for the original ipad only just over a year ago I would expect better from Apple. Myself, my husband and my three children all have iphones and other apple products but I must say if this is the support you get then I would consider other options in the future. Very disappointing....... If anyone else other than a customer service agent who reads from a script can help then please get in touch. Thanks

Replaced digitizer and lcd screen now front camera freezes in virtual shutter mode

recently replaced digitizer/lcd screen now the front facing camera does not work ,freezes on virtual shutter screen and cannot swap from front to rear camera (rear camera works on facetime )

Either the front camera is damaged or the connection of the camera to the logic board is messed up. Take it apart and try to find/fix the problem

How can I control an iPad screen from a Mac

I have a friend who needs help using her iPad. She lives 1500 miles away. Is there any way I can control her iPad remotely from my iMac?

"Control" would be ideal, so I could take complete control of her iPad and then show her how to do things as if I was sitting there. Think "Remote Access".
But "Share" would be almost as good. At least then I could see her screen and be on the phone explaining what to do and watching her cursor movements.
The way we try to do it now is she holds up her iPad during an iChat (video) session, but the screen is too hard to see to be of any use, and helping her this way is virtually impossible.

Protecting cracked ipad screen from further damage with protector

Howdy.... I have an ipad 2. The screen recently developed a spider web-type crack. I honestly have no idea how it happened. I did not drop it. I've been on a number of plane trips recently and noticed it after checking into a hotel. It was in my cabin luggage. Possibly someone dumped something on it in the overhead bin, or it got tossed around??
Anyway, it does still seem to function completely fine. Towards the edge of the screen on one side there is about 1 mm of depression/displacement of the sides of the fracture. Otherwise the cracks are non-displaced. I have no problem using it.
I am in a country with no apple stores. I could submit to an authorized repair place and wait for it to be repaired. However, I am anticipating ipad 3 coming out soon and I am wondering about the option of simply not fixing the screen at all.
I bought an ipad screen protector and put it on the screen under the theory that this might inhibit cracks from propagating further. Anyone have any insight or ideas about this? What happens when you use a cracked ipad screen over time? Does it inevitably get worse?
I am wondering if I can just use it as-is with the screen protector until ipad 3 comes out. The cracks are actually hard to notice during actual use, with the screen on.

The glass is laminated structure, the top layer is oleophobic plastic very thin, then there is the sensor and finally the glass. Same for ipad and iphone. See below.
If it works, keep going. Since you plan to buy a new one anyway. A case of 'its broken, but no need to fix it' !

White vertical line on ipad screen

There seems to be a problem with my iPad screen.. white vertical line bar appears across the screen. It just decide to happen one day for no apparent reason (never drop it.. been well taken care of.. still looks new). As I recall.. i just did my sync with iTunes and update IOS as required. The weird thing is this problem happen soon after my iPad free warranty period expires.. hmmm i have performed sync and update before (when it was under warranty) and no problem at all after that. The screen problem happen after i performed the update IOS to 5.01 recently for the 1st time after warranty period expires.
The thing I don't understand is.. I went to the Apple Authorized Service Center at my nearest location..to get my iPad check and repaired (understand that if warranty expired, I need to pay for service & repair - no problem). The Apple service guy told me that it's hardware problem.. but Apple's support policy does not do any repair for iPad hardware problem - only replace with new unit for free (if under warranty period). If warranty period expires already.. the Apple service guy told me my options are 1) pay for a replacement unit (probably a refurbished ipad) for a price slightly below the retail price of a new iPad or 2) buy a new iPad !!
Is this the true Apple support policy ??

If you feel you can't use it the way it is, I would go for the refurbished one. I have heard that they very good. The cost for Apple to repair your iPad would not be worth it. But seeing its out of warranty there may be other options.

Sounds like a had display. If it's under warrantee, take it to an Apple store. If it's not, go with a third party service.

Take picture from Find My Iphone via front camera

Find My iPhone is an awesome app but it's missing an important function, that is take picture from front camera. When we active this function Find My iPhone will auto take picture from front camera in an interval (Ex: 15 or 30 minutes) and send picture to predefined email when iPhone connected to wifi or cellular data (although lockscreen or after unlock). Why not? Waiting for coming...

Find My Phone is a lockng and location function, not a control function other than remote erasing via iCloud. What you are suggesting would require the iPhone be turned on and would then drain the battery faster making the time frame to find the device much shorter. Hello mlmarsh2, To access the front camera, will the camera is on and showing the live view, swipe up from the bottom and you will see a taskbar with the option to "Change camera". I see from another post you created you were having difficultly with some apps uninstalling.To restore Windows back to factory, turn off the tablet completely. Press and hold the Start button and Volume Down button simultaneously for a few seconds.A screen will come on showing some options.Choose F11 for the System Recovery option and follow the prompts. Hope that helps. PS: If this is the first time you have used a tablet, you might prefer the traditional desktop like Windows 7 had. You can install Classic Shell Setup on the Stream Tablet for the old desktop and it will work just as good as it does on a tower or laptop.
