Line on Left SIde and Boxes around Headings in Disco Plus
Anyone have any insight into the issue:
When printing ANY table or Crosstab report from Plus, there is almost always a random line that prints on the left side margin. Also the headings/titles have light gray 'boxes' around them. I have tried ALL of the printing features/settings that are in Plus. I have been through the documentation for 10g (10.1.2.1) Disco Plus and have not found any information that could resolve my issue.
Has anyone experienced this when printing their Disco Plus reports for the following version. This is a major issue for some of out Finance reports as presentation quality is most important aspect of the reporting tool.

Screen appears fine apart from this line.take it to your local apple store and have them take a look at it. You probably want to make an appointment first.

when I have a pdf file open, I used to be able to click on "Bookmarks" tab on left side and allow me to click on each individual page and delete if I needed to. Now when I click on the Bookmarks tab, that section is empty. How can I get it to show each page again?

I think you may be confusing bookmarks with thumbnails. If you click the Page Thumbnails icon (the one above the Bookmarks icon), then you can delete a page by clicking its thumbnail, and clicking the Delete Pages icon (the trashcan icon). Just make sure that you're viewing the PDF file in Acrobat (rather than Acrobat Reader), as you can't delete pages from Reader.

iphoto causes half my screen to be reversed (screen split with the right side half now on the left side and the left hand side on the right.) and screen gets multiple blurry copies. Also the computer freezes. Any suggestions about a fix? Can I delete iphoto and reinstall? If so, will I lose my photos?

Lightroom 5.6 When I try to publish the photos from Lightroom to SmugMug I get an error Canceling task at the top left side and the photos are not published. I have published photos before just last week so not sure whats going on. Any help would be great.

Trashing the preference file may help, as I've outlined in the topic I've linked to. Otherwise, follow the steps regarding removing 3rd party QuickTime components. Also, see the final post by the OP (EEye87) regarding how his problem was resolved (a combination of trashing the preference file and the 3ivx component).

Hi,
could you please try to find any blank oject like rectangle/textbox, specially at the lower end of the page. Use Edit -> "Select All" to select everything on the page, it will be easier to locate it.

Ipad 4 warm on left side and smelling like melting plastic
I have an Ipad 4 with os 6.1.3 and after about a year it just suddenly started getting warm on the left side and smelling a bit like melting electronics. It happens on low screen brightness setting and even while I'm just browsing normal websites. I do have a cover on it, but it never used to get warm even with the cover. I know it can get warm sometimes because of the CPU but I also KNOW its not supposed to smell. What could be causing this? Do I have to take it in?

EEEgads, I have used ITUNES for my Ipod Shuffle for years and now it is a nightmare with 11.0, I can't find my Ipod when I connect to Itunes, it is a new Win 7 PC. It used to show up on left side and I would slide podcasts right over to it for years, I have installed 3x with removing old install. I also can hear a constant throbbing sound in spkrs. when Itunes turned on, pls advise.

You need to "authorize" the Mac.
Launch iTunes on the Mac then from the iTunes menu bar top of your screen click Store > Authorize This Computer.
Now, using the same Apple ID as you used to purchased iTunes media originally, you should be able to sync all your content.

IMovie iDVD cuts off left side and bottom of pics/vids of TV screen
For as long as i have had iMovie, I have always had this problem where the left side and bottom of the pictures and videos are cut off and cannot be seen on the TV screen. If there is anyone out there who knows something about this, has an answer, or even a suggestion, it would be greatly appreciated if I heard back from you. a bit of "cropping" is normal - it's called overscan - but you say that the it occurs only at the bottom and left side .... are you sure it doesn't affect the whole picture? If I'm wrong post back with some more details about your footage and workflow.
Also: does this only ocurr on DVD or also if you play from iMovie through to camera?
The TV Safe Area:
Anything within the outer 5% of your frame is going to disappear when viewed on a TV ( e.g. Rolling Credits). Inside this 5% is known as the Action Safe area and is produced by a TV behaviour called overscan. Anything within the outer 10% of your image area is not displayed as clearly as the part of the image within that border. The "sharp" 80% of your TV monitor is known as the TV Safe area.
NOTE: "TV Safe" only applies to video shown on a TV set. On a computer monitor, this can be pretty much ignored

Why does macbook pro heats up around the left side and CD spines wildly?
I am experience heat from under the body of the computer on the left side. And also when the CD is in the drive, it runs really fast and loud. Does anyone have any reasoning for these concerns of mine? Mainly I am concerned about the over heating of the computer near the left side.

I set my MBP up by transferring everything from my iMac (also an Intel Core Duo model). One piece of shareware, Net Monitor, didn't like something (partly, perhaps, the fact that it detected a single license key shared by two computers on the same network) and though it told me about this (duplicate license key) and allowed me to go on using it in demo mode, it ended up soaking up CPU. I didn't notice this right away, but I had the MacBook on my lap (and was wearing shorts) and after a while, the bottom got very hot. Then I noticed the CPU was pegged. Using the Apple "Activity Monitor" I was able to see which process was the culprit and kill it.
Anyway, a single run-away process like this can use up a lot of CPU and hence a lot of battery power. Use the Activity Monitor to check for such a process. There's a nice feature in Activity monitor, a floating CPU utilization bar. I keep it showing down in the lower right corner so I can notice if something like this happens again.

I have a brand new HP Officejet Pro 8620 printer. In photo printing it prints three lines accoss the paper. These lines start black in left side of the paper and disapper in the center and appear a white in the right side of the paper. What could be wrong?

I bought Lion from App Store recently and installed it successfully on my MBP. After few days when I left my machine running Lion from morning till evening I see a thin green line on the left side of the screen. I tried searching the web and tried few options like restarting the machine, resetting NVRAM and doing Apple hardware test (By pressing D while the machine boots). The Apple hardware test did not detect any problem. The green line still exists.

I took it to apple service center. They did some checks and found out that the display has gone bad and they replced it with new one.
Did you try connecting other display (may be Apple Display or Dell monitor) using an adapter? In my case the Apple service center people tried doing it and the display was appearing just fine without any green line. So the fault was in my MBP display. -
Pink line down left side of screen?
I recently popped an Arch CD into my newly (sort of) built computer and the install went great. I rebooted, and I was presented with a thin pink line down the left side of my screen. What is this thing (sorry for bad quality pictures. I used a phone camera)?

A few months back, I installed Arch on the same machine with no issues. I also installed Gentoo earlier today and configured X on this PC, and there was no pink line. NOTE: This also appears when I boot the latest live cd.

I have something similar here on my AppleTV, the whole screen will go pink and then be reset to black during the boot sequence, pretty bizarre, happens with all nVidia GPU drivers (nv, nvidia, nouveau). Not entirely the same thing, but it's pink too...
Yeah what I probably will do is downgrade the kernel to an earlier version, most likely 2.6.32, because that has been known to work for me
