Line on the left side of my screen

Hi, i have a 2.4ghz macbook white, it fell from me recently but before that i noticed an almost invisible line on the left side of my screen, it wasnt broken or anything, after it fell the line became more visible, it turned into green and sometimes two lines, but now it is a thick white line that can cover 1 letter...
i ran the hardware test and an error occurred 4SNS/1/40000000 TCOD-100.125

I had line(s) on my screen that would not go away and I only found one solution. Well, they would go away when I tried the Genius Bar (the only bar I hang out in these days). Anyhow, the lines were vertical 80%-90% of the time no matter what I was doing. Mostly one, sometimes 2, rarely 3. They even faded in and out when I was just sitting there! I took it to the apple store once and I couldn't show it to them. I took it home to see if it could get worse. Fearing it will eventually just fail as soona s my wrranty expires in teh end fo Feb, I took it in again. They are going to replace the logic board, but they have to order it then replace it; which takes a couple of weeks at least.
So, the only solution was to replace the board. Oh, and if you can't prove it to them because the iMac seems to know the "doctor's office", just take a photo of the screen problem and take it in. That will be evidence enough.

How do I pin the bookmark sidebar to the left side of my screen?

How do I pin the bookmark sidebar to the left side of my screen? My bookmark sidebar (vertical on the left side of the screen) is gone. When this would happen in the past I wold F10 and then select to view (or pin...can't remember the wording of the command) the sidebar. It was always visible with my bookmarks sorted. Now that sidebar is gone and I can't figure out how to add it back. HELP!

Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily if the Menu Bar is hidden.

I used Software Update and after installing the items and restarting my computer, I now have a white margin about 1" wide on the left side of my screen and can't get rid of it.

I updated by software by using Software Update. iWork, Java, Remote Desktop, iDVD, iWeb, Mac OSX and iTunes were updated. After restarting my computer I now have a white, 1" margin on the left side of my screen and a 1" black margin on the right side of my screen. I tried changing the Display and it didn't work.

Did you enable your Menu and Sidebar?

Ctrl+B to view Menu Bar

My bookmarks came up on the left side of my screen. How do I hide them?

I was just going throw my bookmarks, when all of a sudden they came up on the left side of my screen. How do I get them out of the way?

If it's a thin 1 pixel wide vertical line it's highly likely it could be caused by a defective LCD.
One quick basic way to check is to note the position of the line. Then go to System Preferences, Displays, and lower the resolution. If ther line moves it's on the video and the logic board or video card if fitted is likely to be defective. If the line stays in the same position it's likely to be an LCD fault. Either way to have it repaired you'll need to visit an Apple store or AASP.
The worst offender for this problem is the Late 2006 17" iMac. FOC replacement of the LCD used to be covered by a quality program, but it's now ended.

Little horizontal lines at the left side of the page, printed on the HP Laserjet 4 plus?

Folks, It seems that when I print to my HP laserjet 4 plus, I see some tiny horizontal lines on the left side of the printed page, spaced 4-5 inches apart, all at the very furthest left side of the page. Is this something that I can turn off? Are they some sort of binding marks? I am printing to this printer via jet direct card, over TCP/IP, from a Windows 7 64 bit PC. I love this printer, and recently changed out the exit assembly rollers, and now works like it was new. I also have a 500 sheet drawer and a duplexer installed on it, and I would like to figure out how to get rid of those little horizontal tick marks that show up on the left side of the page. Any help or assistance is GREATLY appreciated, Thanks so much in advance!

The left side of my screen keeps freezing

Recently the left side of my screen has been freezing. How can I fix it?

Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- A reset. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.
If you stil lhave the problem then it is likely a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Hello all, how are you doing?
Anyways to away from all the bullcrap, my MacBook is having issues with its screen and I really don't know what to do. I didn't use it for a few days when SimCity came in, and when I finally decided to use it, it had a bunch of lines in the screen that are quite annoying. For the most part I ignored the problem because at one point all I had to do was open and close it and the lines would go away, but now there not going away and as of yesterday my entire screen has been having problems. Like a few minutes ago the entire screen was going white so I closed it and it went away, but I just want to fix this now before my screen is completely broken. One thing that I did find out with my natural curosity or experminting to fix things was that if I bent the edge of the screen on the left side, the lines go away so hopefully that's telling somehow.
Any help will be appreciated and I'll post two pictures below.

The screen or the graphic card are damaged. In your case, you have to take your MacBook to an Apple Store or reseller to have the computer repaired, because it's not a software-related issue

The left side of my screen is blurred where i can not see anything.

You will have to restore the phone. Plug you're USB cable into the computer, but do not plug it in to your phone. Turn your phone off, while phone is off, hold down the home button. While holding down the home button, connect the other end of the cable into the phone. keep the home button held down. iTunes will then pop up and say it has detected an iphone in recovery mode, and needs to be restored. You can now restore it from iTunes.
FYI, you will lose all of your data.

My vertical column of bookmarks down the left side of my screen has disappeared and I need to find a way to get it back in the same place.

This is purely a lay-out issue. We used to be able to choose to permanently display our bookmarks vertically down the left side of the screen, and I want to continue to be able to do so.
