FM10, Dashed Line Pattern

In the Graphics Toolbar of FM10, when I select "Set Dashed Line Pattern", as soon as I select the dashed line, the window closes down, before I get a chance to click "Select" at the bottom of this window. I am thus unable to select the style of dashed line I want to use. Is this a bug in FM10, or am I making a mistake in the way I try to do this action? When I try to click "Selected Dashed Line Pattern" next to it, nothing opens up.

It sounds to me like a misunderstanding of that little pop-up box. It serves two purposes:
Select the dash style using the Set button, which opens the style selection dialog
Select whether the current graphic object will use a solid line or a dashed line using the upper two buttons
The assumed workflow might be this:
Click Select and select the dash style you plan to use most of the time.
Select any graphic object and click either the Dashed Line or Solid Line buttons.
If you want to change the dash style of an already dashed object, select the object and then use the Select button to open the dash settings window and select a new style.

How to create diagonal variable line pattern in CS6?

Hi guys
I'm on the brink of insanity with creating my diagonal line pattern. I've tried everything I can think of but the pattern is an absolute mess! I want to create a diagonal line pattern but I want the lines not to be uniform. Basically I've made a group of 3 lines and then one separate line on its own, then to repeat this as the picture below. I've used the distribute function so the distances between the lines is identical everywhere. I've then rotated the whole thing exactly 45 degrees and aligned the lines to fit the bounding box in the "make pattern" mode as shown. Yet the resulting pattern is just a mess of overlap ugliness. All I want is for the pattern to literally look as it does in the image on the left, can someone please tell me how to sucessfully do this in CS6?? Would be eternally grateful!!

Create the pattern at 90° angles then use Object > Transform > Rotate and tick the "Transform Patterns" option and enter the angle you are after....
Trying to get angled lines to match in a pattern can take considerable effort. Where as with this method you can create the pattern and rotate it in a matter of minutes. Let Illustrator work for you rather than against you. And, you can rotate to any angle so the pattern will function in multiple ways.

Artifact Lines in Line Pattern Swatch

Hi,
I am trying to use a basic line pattern swatch as a fill. It all looks fine in Illustrator but when I go and try to save it under "save to web and devices" the fill pattern shows extra lines in the pattern. These lines are darker and run in a different direction. There are not many of them but they definately ruin the pattern fill. This doesn't happen with all the line patterns, usually just the one I want to use (LOL).
Are these "artifacts" caused by the swatch itself? Is there anyway to get rid of them?

I used select * from user_source where text like '%update tablename%set columnname%' but this only seem to work if update tablename set columnname is in the same line .

Well, no wonder it does not work. USER_SOURCE stores one line of text per row, so column text by definition can not contain multi-line strings . One solution could be analytic function LEAD:

Setting Line Pattern for Lines

Hi All,
How to set line pattern for Lines? I am trying to use Line Pattern to draw some thing like "======" ( with out gap though I used equal symbol to draw I don't have other way to show an example). I have tried setting line pattern it is not working any one help is much appreciate.

Hi,
Actually you can draw two lines and keep the distance as sme as you are trying to show by equal sign. Just remove tick from Snap To Grid option from View>Snap To Grid then you can adjust using the arrow keys.

Line-pattern in movies imported

After importing movies taken with Sony HX9V in HD, a line-based pattern starts to exist in the imported movies. I might not have access of the original files from the HX9V. Is this solvable? See this link for a visual: http://i.imm.io/BFW7.png

How to create a tileable line pattern?

How can I create a tileable line pattern like the one on the image? (Illustrator CS5)
Is there a more practical way than drawing and duplicating lines? When I do that, and fill a shape with the pattern, I see gaps between tiles. Do you remember the same pattern on Microsoft Word? I want to create that, on Illustrator. Which method should I follow?

Draw a horizontal line and apply a stroke. Duplicate that line exact vertically, apply no fill, no stroke.
Drag both of them into the swatches panel. This is the pattern. Apply to a shape and then rotate only the pattern in your shape.

Ti4200 VTD8x Yellow Line Pattern.

Well In every game I've played, there has been a yellow line pattern that spreads vertically across the screen. I've installed the latest drivers for the video card and Direct x9 but this hasn't resolved the problem. Is my video card busted?

Im thinkin it might have something to do with OpenGL. In Star Wars Jedi Outkast, there is an option to disable the OpenGL and when I do that, the yellow lines disappear. any suggestions?

Problem printing line pattern at diagonal

Hello there. I'm having a problem printing a pattern fill that is stripes, then rotated so it is diagonal. It looks fine in illustrator but when it prints it comes out choppy/pixelated. I've attached a scan of the print to show you what I mean.
Also, when printing small dashed lines they dont come out clean, some are missing or connected and it just looks strange....

The illustration printed fine as a pdf, but thats kind of a biotch though!

Our IPAD was dropped and now has a blue screen with little line pattern on the very left side (like a margin) - any chance for it's recovery?

Any solutions for this? Won't turn off - letting the battery die at this point to see if a restart will help. Any ways to save at this point? Thanks in advance for any tips or help!

Nevermind!!! We figured out how to fix it! Home button + OFF button for 30 seconds - restarted and we are down to 8 lives!!! YAY!

Printing in Acrobat X gives an extra unwanted line in the bottom margin

Printing in Acrobat Reader X gives an extra unwanted line in the bottom margin. This margin should normally be blank. The line pattern follows the pattern of the print inside the margins. How can I print without this extra line?. The problem does not occur with the same documents opened in Acrobat Reader 9.4.

I had the same problem when I created my pdf for my Realtor flyer using microsoft publisher. I was able to get rid of the unwated line by using a png file in the publisher before generating the pdf.

Vertical lines appear in every photo taken w my 3 yr old Power Shot A470.Can't get rid of them.Help?

in the midst of photo shoot yesterday, this vertical line pattern appeared in every photo and can't get rid of it. Triple checked all my settings, nothing's changed about how I take my photos.
Through the viewfinder when I prefocus I see the result of what my photo should look like after the shot, but after I take it, the shot is 50% lighter, with a horrible pattern of lines. Has my camera totally died? Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? I cannot take photos anymore with this all time favorite camera of mine

First try a complete reset if possible, I can't see it being the memory card but if you have a spare one try that.
One cause could be the sensor or the display itself, I've had faulty ribbon cables going to the display on TV sets causing similar problems.
I take it they are in the same place on every shot. What does a good photo show up like, i.e., one prior to this fault showing? This would point to the sensor or display, since the photo was taken previous to the fault it 'would' eliminate the sensor as this is only used when taking photos and not when 'viewing'.
Pity you couldn't post a sample as it *may* help.

Header grid lines

Hi,
Does anyone knows how to get rid of the horizontial lines whenever i set the first 5 row as my header. I guess it might be a default template. I never had this problem on Microsoft Excel until i make a switch to Numbers.
Hopefully there is a solution, if not i would have to switch back to Microsoft office user again.

To drop the internal grid lines in the Header Rows, go to the Cell Menu and Choose No Border, then click on the internal line pattern.
For some reason the vertical lines can be controlled in the Table Tab, while the horizontal lines can only be controlled in the Cell Tab.

How to make clipping mask with text and vector pattern?

Hey there guys, any help would be greatly appreciated. Im making a logo for a client and am having a nightmare of a time trying to properly use the clipping masks in illustrator CS5. I copied and pasted the logo I made behind itself with a different color just for a drop shadow-like effect. And now I'm trying to apply this diagonal line pattern I created over top the "shadow" I made to give it some texture.
Here's an example of what I'm going for, only imagine the line pattern on the text instead of banner

As I (mis)understand it, you can either keep the Type live (or outline it) and:
1) Create one copy of the pattern for each Type object (this will give you the opportunity of having different(ly coloured) patterns;
2) For each Type object, select the type object and one of the patterns and Object>Clipping Path>Make;
or you can:
1) Select both Type objects and Type>Create Outlines, then Object>Compound Path>Make;
2) Select the compound object and the pattern and Object>Clipping Path>Make.
