Line Saver and Rental Increase

Hi
I understand I can now pay my Line Rental as a single payment for a year in advance, however I also understand that the line rential will increase from 1 October, therefore if I have paid for the year prior to that date when will I pay the increase ?

Hi davedrizen LRS is exempt from the price increase, when you take it out again next year it will be at the current rate

  • Line saver and Monthly line bill

    Hi
Just had a bill for a months line rental and charges because no one at BT thought to notify me that last years line saver contract was about to expire. A little note on the last bill or a simple e-mail would have been enough, but nothing.
So now after renewing the line saver contract they are going to take the months rental as well as the line rental I have paid for in the renewed contract, I have been told they will credit my account next month. What a cheek, so BT get a cheap loan at my expense, what I want to know is how can I get that amount paid back into MY account where it belongs?

I have to say that my experience was exactly opposite to yours and exactly what it should have been. I was both reminded on my bill and sent a reminder email.
Here is an extract from the reminder email:
"Your Line Rental Saver is ending on 19-10-2011
Stick with line rental saver, and you'll carry on saving £46.80 a year. Just pay £120 for your annual line rental upfront - which is the equivalent of £10 a month.
You'll need to visit www.bt.com/rentalsaver after 19-10-2011 to renew."
    and from the bill:

  • BUG: "Save and compact" increases file size by 1KB each time?

    Flash CS4
I noticed that when I do "save and compact" on a .fla file, it causes the file size to increase by 1KB each time--even when no changes were made.  Can this be fixed?

Yup. It works perfectly in CS3. Now the problem you will have is that you don't have CS3 installed. Even if you will save your files as CS3 format, you cannot (as far as i know) "save and compact" it as CS3, it will prompt that it must be converted from older version CS3 to CS4 and you end up with the same problem. Perhaps there is a setting to force CS4 to save and compact in CS3 version but i doubt it. The only way i know to solve it is save the file as CS3 format (But you will lose some XMP file info metadata, i'm not sure if that is necessary though) then close CS4, and open CS3 then "save and compact" it there. This is definitely a bug where some information might have been duplicated in the file's info or history. If you are lucky an adobe employee might be able to give you a solution to this or just confirm this bug.

  • Line saver

Earlier this month I signed up for Line Saver and at the same time chnaged to anytime week end and evenings. However while the anytime chnage is now reflected in my on line details the line saver isn't. In fact my on line bill says I'm being charged monthly rentals! I have spoken to somebody re this and they said
1 The bill had been taken form my £113.88
2 The next bill will sort it all out!
3 Line saver isn't really visiable to the billing system as its been managed by "sales"
All this may be true and there may be no problems but I would be a lot happier if I my on line details actually said I was on line saver rather than still haveing a monthly charge!
Incidently the payments section ofmy account dose record the one off payment for the account but I didn't receive an email confirmimg line saver until I contacted support

    Hi PeterW,
    Welcome to the forum.
Quick question, when you ordered Line Rental Saver did you pay the £133.88 upfront with a debit/credit card? If you, you're definitely on the package.
Could it be that the order for Line Rental Saver was due to close after the bill was produced (which is why the bill is still showing the charges in advance)? If this is the case, any advanced charges already covered by the Line Rental Saver will be refunded automatically on your next bill.
    Thanks,
    Stephanie

  • Line Saver Rental - existing monthly discount and ...

My current BT rental deal is 'Renewable Unlimited Evening and Weekend Plus ', which gives me free evening and weekend calls at £16.60 less £4 discount = £12.60 per month annual renewing contract (started 10 Aug 09).
I also get a £1.25 per month discount for paperless billing, and I know I lose that once I go for Line Saver Rental.
But I understand that my existing monthly contract remains to be reverted to if I take the Line Saver Rental option.  So does that mean that, if I allow the Line Saver Rental to lapse after a year, that I go back to my £4 discount deal?
(or even better, does it mean that I would get 12 months' x £4 = £48 discount off my cost of Line Saver Rental?)
Also, by default, my calls are redirected by CPS to Primus at the exchange, but I can route them via BT instead by using a 1280 suffix. Would this still be the situation under a Line Saver Rental contract, and would I still be able to use predial suffices such as 18185?

    Hi RatAtAt,
Thanks for posting. When you sing up for the line rental saver option whatever offer you have on your calling package will continue for the duration of the contract. You can find information on the 1280 service here . Hope that helps.

  • Line Saver Rental and Paper-free billing discount

The Line rental saver conditions state that that, if you sign up, the discount for paper-free billing will stop.
Can you tell me if the paper-free billing discount will be reinstated if I revert to monthly line rental when the line saver contract period ends ?
    Thanks

    Hi Mw9,
Welcome to the forum and thanks for posting. If you re-sign for the Line Rental Saver option after the initial 12 months you'll be saving even more. If you want to discuss specific details of your account drop me an email to [email protected] and I'll be happy to help.

  • Line saver rental costs & complicated bill

I paid £141 in advance for Line Saver Rental in Oct 2013.  This is still being advertised on the BT site at that rate for 12 months.  My latest bill is overly complicated with charges being amended back to Oct last year.  However from what I can make out from this bill is that the Line Rental saver charges have changed.  Why? If the 12 month rate is still the same as when I paid in October  surely there should be no adjustment.  Is it not fixed for 12 months anyway?
This months bill, because of the changes to the BT tariffs has no end of credits and recharges itemised. How on earth is anyone supposed to know if it is correct - far too complicated.

The recent bill I received would confuse most people -  However all three line entries for my line rental are for £0.00 which is correct overall as I have paid it in advance for the year. However it does appear that they haven't bothered to explain on the bill why all the lines are there (presumably due to standard monthly  line rental increase that occured on 4th Jan).  The other charges on my bill are properly explained .... ie they refund the advance charges from 4th Jan to your bill date that you paid on your last bill and bill you for the period from 4th Jan to your bill date at the new charge rate that applied from 4th Jan pro-rata.

  • Line Saver Rental v. Paper Free Billing

    Hi
I'm trying to weigh up the benefits / pitfalls of going for the 'Line Saver Rental' deal and paying £120 up front which would result in a monthly equivalent of £10.
However, I currently have 'Paper Free' billing which gives me a discount of £3.75 / month.
I note that if I opt for 'LSR' it will result in the removal of the 'PF' discount.  That would mean an effective monthly line rental of £13.90 less £3.75 = £10.15.
I appreciate that the line rental is being increased from £13.90 to £14.60 from 3/12/11, but based on current prices, is it really worth paying £120 up front for a yearly saving of £1.80??
Assuming that the 'PF' discount is not increased on 3/12, the saving would still only amount to some £10.20 over the year (new monthly rental of £14.60)!
    Thoughts anyone?

    Go to Solution.

I opted to sat with the PF biling discount as I think it is better valie and because that £120 can earn some interest for me rather than being passed to BT - and who knows how long the annual offer will last?
However I feel duty bound to point out at the monthly PF discount is £1.25 and only comes to £3.75 on the quarterly bill.
So after December the 3rd the discounted monhly price is actually £13.35
So it is saving of £3.35 a month or £40 a year.

  • Thanks to users for line saver rental info

    Hi
I found the Forum comments by chance on the advance line saver rental.  I had read BT's conditions and didn't think I was eligible as a Weekend inclusive call package user and no any point in upgrading to Evenings & Weekends at additional £2.99/month.  However, thanks to other users comments I successfully applied for the advance line rental.
BT need to add in their notes that those on Weekend call packages are also eligible to apply!

  • Line Rental Increase/Cancellation

I'm currently on a bundle with BT paying £21 a month for Infinity 2 Broadband & Anytime calls. On top of that I pay the standard £14.60 a month line rental.
Just received notification that the line rental is going up and I know that gives me the right to cancel which I would like to do.
However, the £21 Broadband & Calls bundle is staying the same. So can I cancel the whole lot or is it only the line rental I can cancel?

    Hi scrabble123
I have managed to cancel all of my package, on the basis of the line rental increase.  According to BT's own FAQ's on the main website you have to have a BT line for any of their broadband packages.  As the line rental is increasing and you cannot use your package without BT line then it equates that you cannot actually access what you are paying for!!!  You might well have to get it escalated to a manager and then complaints but I finally got the phone call after about a week saying I could leave without cancellation fees!  It also appears that not many of the people at BT customer service know about the 10 day notification period in which you are allowed to cancel, so you will have to tell them!!!

  • Line saver rental

Hi - I'm hoping some one can help - I have a combined bill for 2 phone lines - I have recently signed up to line saver rental - this was activated on 1 line - I contacted BT who advised that I could do the 2nd line online - but I cant seem to get anywhere as the combined billing tells me it is already active. thanks stadds

You can only get Line Rental Saver on one line. See the attached:

  • Line saver tariffs - take a second look at the fig...

Having done the maths on BT's "line saver upfront paying of rental", the deal is not quite what is portrayed, at least not for me.  ! currently pay a line rental of £13.29 pm, but get a paper-free discount of £1.25 pm, effectively reducing the line rental to £12.04 pm  ( or £144.48 per year).  If I change to "line-rental", the monthly fee works out at £9.99 pm (or £119.88 per year).  However, on changing to "line-rental saver", I would loose the paper free discount of £1.25 pm, resulting in an effective rate of £11.24 pm.  The bottom line saving being only 80p per month (or £09.60 per year, and not the advertised annual saving of £39.60 per year).  Hardly an incentive to pay upfront to BT !!  P.S. the figures are also pro-rata when the vat increases 20 % in Jan 2011.

Your logic and maths is flawed.
Without Line Saver Rental, the total monthly charge for line rental is £13.29 less the paperless billing discount of £1.25, making £12.04 as you correctly state.
With Line Rental Saver, the monthly charge is one twelfth of £119.88 which is £9.99, meaning that you are saving £2.05 per month or £24.60 per year.
Your logic is flawed in double accounting the paperless billing discount.
What is advertised is correct for new customers who cannot get the paperless billing discount as it has been generally removed for new customers.
Their saving is hence £24.60 plus twelve times £1.25 which equals £39.60 for new customers.

  • When can I opt in for line saver?

    Hi,
I recently ordered a phone and broadband package and when I was ordering I was told that I would have to wait until everything was set up before I could opt in for the line rental saver payment. The engineer came today and everything is set up and working fine, but when I went online to try and opt in for the line saver payment it is still saying that I don't have a BT line. How long will it be before I can opt in for the line saver package as I am keen to get it sorted out asap. Thanks for any help you can give me.

  • Line saver loss of paper free discount

Am happy to get a discount on my line rental by paying up front but cannot understand why I have to loose the paperfree billing discount. I will still be getting a bill for calls so are BT now going to post this out to me? Seems rather senseless

I too took up this line saver offer. And had selected paper free billing. Mainly because the posties round these parts can't read and put my mail in other peoples letterboxes. With similar addresses.
I suspect you will continue to be paper free.
I also suspect this (removal of unconnected discount) is a ruse by BT to reduce the actual  discount so they can continue to advertise a discount of Y when it is really X. X being less than Y of course.
By the way I noticed (eventually) that my last phone bill was not collected by direct debit and was told by BT this was because the upfront line saver payment exceeded my phone bill.
This caused me a problem trying to reconcile my bank balance with some financial software on my PC.
    Weird or what?
    Hope this is constructive.

    hi
    Syntax
    AT USER-COMMAND.
    Effect
This statement defines an event block whose event is triggered by the ABAP runtime environment if, during the display of a screen list, a function with a self-defined function code was chosen.
    Note
Self-defined function codes are all those that include character combinations, except for the following:
The function codes PICK and PF## ("##" stands for 01 to 24) do not cause the event AT USER-COMMAND, but the events AT LINE-SELECTION and AT PF##.
All function codes that start with the character "%" are interpreted as system functions and do not cause the event AT USER-COMMAND. The system functions for lists are listed in the following table 1.
The function codes in the following table 2, likewise, do not cause the event AT USER-COMMAND, but are handled by the list processor.
