Hi EAM Experts,
My client currently is using SAP modules including SAP PM but now for better asset management they want to implement LAM.
Please do guide me how to implement the LAM. Please specify with the config settings and the business cycle so that it will be helpful for me in mapping
the business requirement.
Your help required asap. Screen shots will be highly thankful.
This requirement is with my mutiple clients who is into Road and Railway networks.

Remember that Arch Arm is a different distribution, but we try to bend the rules and provide limited support for them. This may or may not be unique to Arch Arm, so you might try asking on their forums as well.

DHCP Server - Different Range for Wired and Wireless Network

We have DHCP setup on Windows Server 2012r2 and the range given to us by the main HQ is 10.65.112.1-10.65.112.254 (there are several exclusions under this range)
Now since the range gets exhausted quickly, they provided another one 10.65.122.1-10.65.122.254.
What our branch would love to do is to dedicate the first range for Wired Computers and the other range for Wireless Devices (Phone,Tablets, Mobiles)
Right now we have 2 different scopes setup in DHCP, the second one is disabled. In our network we have 6 access points and also have a CISCO SG300-52 Managed Switch. It has an inbuilt DHCP Server and also has the function for DHCP Relay. But we are not actually using any of its functionality as of now.
So my question is how to have 2 separate ranges for wired and wireless network. People have mentioned vlans but I have no clue on how to get that done.
Is there a simpler way avoding V-LANS or if not, would love to get step by step procedure on how to go about this. Any help will be much appreciated

You will need some modifications though. Steps 1-6 is very relevant. On step 6, you need to pay particular close attention to the "default router". If the SX300 handles your intervlan routing then the default router needs to be the IP of your VLAN. If you have a different device to handle VLAN routing then the default router needs to be that IP address.

Need to know any information about implementing Oracle HR and basic benefits in Europe (France localization with rollup of others). I have HR, OAB implementation experinece in US. Want to understand the differences between US implementations and UK implementations. Any reference documents welcome.

How to have one centeral management console for DB and Application server?

I read in several places that ORACLE provide facilitis that help developers to have one centeral console to manage Application server / Database and what ever oracle products.
I want to know that, when i have Oracle 10g r2 and Application server 10.1.3.1 installed, how i can use that centeral management console?
is it some other application that i should install ?
or it is just some more configuration?

What you are looking for is called Grid Control.
You will need the Grid Control Agent installed on each server that has products from Oracle's technology stack installed (database, web server, app server, etc). You will also need install the Grid Control software and repository.

Where is the getString() implementation for RS and Object class question

Dear all,
I had these two questions ringing since a long time.
1)ResultSet is an interface.
In my jdbc code I have generally written rs.getString() and rs.getInt etc.. without giving a second thought as to where exactly is this getter implemented !
I have RTF API .. without too much help.
Could some one kindly explain Where is the implementation of the getString method ?
2) Could you please tell why the Wait() Notify() and NotifyAll methods have been implemented in the Object class ? What was the need to define em in the Object class ?

ITunes invoice management sofware for mac and iPhone

I'm looking for a management software for mac/iphone. I would like to save my iTunes invoices somehow. I can't print my iTunes invoices, I would like to organize them. I need some kind of app or something for management. Can anybody help me? I'm looking for my problem for a while...and I can't belive I'm the only one in this world who want to organize the iTunes Invoices.

What do you mean by "manage" them? Manage them how? The receipts are just email messages which can be saved out to a text file and from there they are just normal documents. You're going to need to be more explict as to what you wish to accomplish with this "management" before anyone will be able to offer much in the way of useful suggestions.

Can on one domain coexist managed servers for ADF11g and Forms&Reports 11g

Is it possible on one Weblogic Domain to exist both Managed server for ADF 11g and Managed servers for Forms 11g and Reports 11g?
How to install on one Weblogic server these two things? Is it possible and what is recommended in this case?

Yes, i think it is possible. In my case I have one Weblogic Server Domain with 3 Managed Server,one for deploy application and the others are the Forms & Reports 11g.
For that you have to install Fusion Middlware 11g.
For ADF 11g i think you have to install Oracle Fusion Application.

General HELP for RAID and HOME NETWORK... I'm a bit lost :(

First off, I'm sorry about the long post but I just wanted to ask everything at once since I don't know what effects what?
Over the past years I've had a MBP and have always added Western Digital Mybook drives whenever I needed storage. One of clicked and died this past year and I lost some data since I was "MANUALLY" backing up. Since then I've tried to read about RAID, NAS, and DROBO type devices.
I recently bought a Mac Pro 2008 edition because I needed more speed. I mainly edit wedding photos in Lightroom but also come from a heavy motion graphics background and do some After Effects projects from time to time.
Here's a list of my current setup and what I'm hoping to achieve but I'm in over my head of what to do???
1 Mac Pro (2008 edition) - I'm considering setting up 4 1TB harddrives inside that are mirrored. I was looking at the Caviar Black or Hitachi drives...
2. I have two Airport Extreme Base Stations for my home network. (One is plugged into my Mac Pro and the other is near my Vizio LCD and Xbox 360. I've been toying around with sharing iPhoto slideshows (which I really like the idea of) The problem is that it seems really slow for video and hiccups on the stills sometimes. It doesn't seem to make a difference if it's pulling it from the Mac Pro or from a USB drive attached directly to my Airport Extreme. How do I speed this up? Is it always going to be faster to stream from the Mac Pro over ethernet cable than a harddrive plugged in through USB?
3. A few RAID and NAS solutions I've been looking at are the following but I don't really understand what I get with an external device vs an internal? I also don't know which is BETTER? for easy reliable backup.

4. I've been reading mixed reviews about the Drobo but don't quite understand if it's a better solution then setting up a mirror INSIDE my Mac Pro. Since I have the MBP that I will use rarely since I got my desktop I was considering using that instead of Apple TV or a Mac Mini but it's too slow? Maybe I set it up wrong?

For backup, video work, photography and expanding the Mac Pro storage capability the FirmTek SeriTek/5PM would be my choice. The bundle that you pointed to will work if 130MB/sec. is fastest enogh for your needs. The card is only $70 in the bundle which makes it a nice deal.

If you want 200MB/sec, performance I would go with the Sonnet Tempo E4P or the HighPoint RR 2314 if you desire RAID 5 redundancy.

Trying to use NAS via the network will be 3-7x slower than the SeriTek/5PM. The SeriTek/5PM is a much better choice for backup, video and photography. NAS is good for low energy, always on, low use server needs. However, you can simply turn Mac OS X file sharing on and the Mac Pro will provide performance faster than any NAS.
Drobo - Why do people even consider this option?
The performance is USB speed even with a FW800 connection.
Users have reported losing data with firmware updates.
And the unit is one of the most expensive, slow performing options available. I cannot image ever wanting a Drobo
Backup Software:
I like SuperDuper. I also like using the "Restore" tab in Disk Utility to clone one disk to another. The key to good backup is to keep it simple and regular.
MyBook - NOT
If your storage needs exceed more than a single FireWire backup disk you really need to go with eSATA. The SeriTek/5PM and the Mac Pro combination provides virtually unlimited storage capabilities as the tray system allows new hard disk sets to be easily loaded or dismounted.

We have multiple sites connectd through VPN (Hub and spoke network). Following is the site information
Head Office (DC) ----- contoso.com ------ 192.168.100.2
Site1 (ADC) ----- site1.contoso.com ------192.168.101.2
Site2(RODC)----contoso.com ------192.168.102.2
Site3(ADC)-----contoso.com ------- 192.168.103.2
site4(ADC)-----site4.contoso.com-----192.168.104.2
site5(ADC)-----contoso.com -------192.168.105.2
i am trying to ping DC (contoso.com) from site4 & site site1 sometimes it's getting reply from site5 and site3 not from HO.
How can i configure all request go to HO (192.168.100.2).
for any other information please ask me.

do you ping the domain name or the DC name? If domain name, what you see is normal, a DC will be chosen via DNS round robin and NOT a DC in that site.

Library management software for Mac and iPhone

This is not a support question, but I thought someone here might have an idea for me. Googling around hasn't helped much with a question I have. I have a lot of books, and would like to have software to manage them that runs on both my Mac and my iPhone, and syncs well between the two. Has anyone had good luck with anything along those lines?

I found a couple by searching the iTunes library for "Library management", but nothing that does exactly what you want. You may want to look into a general database app such as HanDBase, which is not specifically for books, but has a lot of available pre-defined databases, can do barcode scanning, and has a desktop version that it can sync with. I've been using it going back to my Palm Pilot days.

Fbl1n and fbl5n display at time line item wise name for vendor and customer

Could you tell me how can I include Customer or Vendor names for each line items in transaction FBL5N and FBL1N, please? Customer Accounts are displayed well, but in several cases we also need the name of the certain Customer or Vendor account names. This would be important for consolidation of customer accounts of the same customers.
It is possible to include in these reports the u201EName1u201D, but they are empty in all cases. Could you tell me how it is possible to correct this problem, please?

See if you want to have the Vendor/ Customer name or number to be displayed when you execute it. I mean on the Vendor/Customer Line Item Display.
THEN follow the below steps........
After executing the FBL1N or FBL5N Click CTRL+F8 or Change Layout. From the Pop screen select the Vendor from the Right side of the screen and then drag to the Left side of the screen, then click on Copy as.
Then Save the Layout or CTRL F12, save the layout with the new name that you want.
When you want this Layout as the default each and every time then u have to do 1 more step....
After executing the same layout go the
MENU> Settings>Layout-->Administration...
there you select the layout that u have created and then set that layout as the Default settings Check mark on DS.
So that each and every time when u execute it the same layout will be displayed with the fields that u have selected....
