    I can't personally as I never really liked nor used the picture frame feature in iPad.  Just search in the App Store and read customer reviews and you'll likely find something you'll like.

  • Arch logo not appearing when booting

    Hi guys I know this is probably for most of you not a problem but I like the logos and want them to have at boot up
    So here is my situation:
    I have a Samsung N150 netbook with an Intel Atom N450 Core, a GMA3150 Accelerator and a display that supports a resolution up to 1024x600 (although it is possible under windows to put it on 1024x768 too but its not made for that and doesnt look good)
    I am using grub and I have read that you need to use the frambuffer to be able to see the logos (with the parameter vga=...). However this doesnt make the logos appear, here is the vga setting that I put in the kernel line: vga=789
    He also supports only a maximum solution of 800x600 when booting with grub (is there a way to make it with 1024x600?), after udev starts he sets the display resolution to 1024x600. still the logos are not there
    The netbook that I had before this one (acer aspire one) did show the logos and it had a very similar hardware (atom core, gma3xxx accelerator) so I think it should be possible with this one too..
    any idea what I can do?

    Yes, it's the same logo. No, it's unlikely to be coming back.

  • Lines appear when zoomed in

    These lines appear around the cursor when I use CTRL+scroll-up to zoom in. Is this a known issue with snow leopard or should I see a Apple genius?

    This "smudging" problem was something I experienced when running 10.5, however 10.6 has fixed it for me. Are you fully up to date in software update? Going to Apple > About this Macintosh > More info > Graphics/Displays, what is your chipset model?

  • Black line appearing when using Magic Bullet

    I have installed the latest Magic Bullet suite and it all works fine within Premiere, except when I apply a Look. In the Looks Builder the image looks fine. However, when I go back to Premiere a black line appears on the left hand side of the image. In the Effects Control if I click on 'Motion' or the effect itself, 'Looks', then the black line disappears, but it then reappears when I click off or try and render the image. It is unclear whether the error is in Premiere or with Magic Bullet. I am working with HDV widescreen footage. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Make sure that the properties for LooksBuilder.exe are set to run in Windows XP (Service Pack 2) compatibility mode. It may help. If not, provide a lot more details and start with the 16 questions at the end of the included Wiki link:

  • OJ Pro8000 thin black line appear when using photo paper but not regular paper

    When using both my OJPro 8000 and my wife's OJPro8500, thin black lines appear every 7/8" on the paper when using photo paper.  This does not happen if I print on regular bond paper.

    Anything?  It's only happening in Photoshop, other apps print fine.

  • Macbook Pro, random white lines appear when browsing Facebook

    Recently when browsing Facebook, random white horizontal lines appear across the screen when scrolling up and down.
    They will mostly go away when I move my mouse cursor across the screen.
    I saw another post about this a few minutes ago (dated May 8) but now it no longer appears.
    Anybody have any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

    Is there any way I can find out if its the cord withhout taking the screen apart?

  • Extraneous line appears when using Zig Zag effect

    This is the procedure that I'm using:
    1. Create 3 horizontal lines with only a stroke color, no fill. Each line is a different stroke color.
    2. Using the Blend tool, blend the three lines to get a nice linear gradient.
    3. Make an Art Brush from the 3-line blend.
    4. Create a path, for example, just a straight line, and apply the new brush.
    5. Choose Effects > Distort > Zig Zag with Smooth turned on. If the zig zag is shallow and diagonal line appears in the path that does not belong, ruining the effect. The extraneous line will print, so it's not just something that appears on the screen.
    Is there any way to avoid this? If the bumps in the wave are steeper, the diagonal line doesn't appear.

    Hello Jay,
    <br />
    <br />What I did is to use really small circles (3 Circles: Red, Yellow, and Blue) Blend them together with specified steps of 100 (Option+Blend Tool+Click). The amount of steps depends of the distance between each circle.
    <br />
    <br />Then I created the "Art Brush" and apply it to a straight line.
    <br />
    <br />After that, I rotated a copy of the line 45° and a third line another 45° (this will make 90° with 3 lines).
    <br />
    <br />Selected the Vertical and Horizontal lines, then select the "Zig Zag" effect and set the values that you want. The diagonal line I reset the size of the "Zig Zag" effect to very low value.
    <br />
    <br />After that I use "Convert Anchor Point Tool" (Shift+C) to smooth the curve of the blending. To have better results I suggest to use more than 3 lines to make a 90° turn (Just keep in mind that the middle lines should have a "Zig Zag" effect size of low value.
    <br />

    <br />
    <br />But another solution is to first make the Mask of the shape that you want, create a Rectangle with the gradient that you want and use the "Envelope Distorted" ("Envelope Distorted"+ "Make With Warp" + Style "Arc"). Please make sure that you already selected "Distort Linear Gradients" under "Envelope Options"
    <br />And then make the mask.

  • FX5900XT - Lines & Dots when booting up!

    Hello everyone,
    I just recently purchased the FX5900 XT graphics card and it's driving me crazy.  When the machine boots up (before windows), vertical lines or dots will appear on the screen and the system will freeze or reboot when it reaches the windows logon screen (if even!).
    I noticed that if I unplug the power supply on the graphics card, the problem disappears even though the driver will warn me of insufficient power.
    I have tried using the MSI 56.63 driver and the nvidia reference 56.72 driver - though since the problem occurs before windows loads, I figure it's probably something else that's the culprit.  Also updated my motherboard to the latest driver as well.
    I used to have an athlon cpu with an abit motherboard, but upgraded them to the current setup when the graphics card didn't work.  I also upgraded the powersupply to 550W after reading the articles here about insufficient power.
    Now, I'm not sure if it's a defective video card, or maybe it's my RAM (since it's only 266), or just my setup that's causing the problem.  If anyone has any ideas, please let me know!
    Thanks in advance!
      Richard

    I am having same problem with my system verital lines and pixeled dots on bois post then nothing I have rma'd 4 ms 6758-040 and 2 ms 8948-040 (875P NEO FIS2R and Gforce FX 5700)  the previous video card had bios issue form the msi live update it was a msi Gforce4 TI 4800.  When it was rma'd they had stopped making the TI 4800 so the "comparable" replacement was a ti 4600(not a good card)  this is when i first started seeing lines and dots on bios post.  have updated the bois, replaced the power supply (which burned out for some unkown reason), replaced the ram and tried 4 mobo and 3 video cards.  the only thing left is the hard drives and the dvd play and burner.   So far I am lost on what to do next.  I wonder if MSI had a bad set of chipsets when they made these video cards and motherboards.   does anyone have any solutions to this problem other than maybe switching back to asus, amd and pny gforce?

  • Thin black line appears when applying transition to material

    Im editing in PremProCC and have a problem with the video transitions especially the wipe effect. When I apply the wipe to a cropped jpg and play it back a thin black line seems to appear around the edges of the jpg. I thought it might have something to do with rendering but the render bar reminds yellow when I apply the effect. It also in the exported version too. Any help I've never seen this before?

    Hope you can see the thin black line  its more noticeable when it's playing back. Its just after the Bes/sy letters on the left had screen.

  • Line appears when applying drop shadow on large scale

    Hello!
    Some weeks ago I had to make a large scale graphic (800mmx2000mm) for a roll-up banner. I wanted to apply a drop shadow to a rounded shape, and ugly lines came up. Since it was a bit urgent, I decided not to use it.
    But now I'm curious, so I quickly made an ellipse and added a shadow, so you know what I mean. This also happens when I save it as pdf or image.
    Perhaps someday I will have to use a drop shadow on large scale. So, does anybody knows how to fix this or what could I do in case I need to use this effect in these conditions? I use Illustrator CS6 in Mac with Mavericks.
    Thanks in advance.

    Mike Gondek wrote:
    I was able to create an ellipse to your dimension and got a good drop shadow. What happens if you manually make a drop shadow using appearance?
    FYI I tried making the same using drop shadow filter in CS5 and got this error.
    Incase your file was created in CS5 and opened in 6, I would recreate the drop shadow in CS6. I know they redid the gaussian blur in CS6, but not sure if that affected drop shadow.
    CS6 is better on raster effects at large sizes.
    My file was created and opened in CS6.
    My ellipse is around 175cmx50cm. I tried it manually like you said and got the same results:
    So, I guess I'm alone with such a problem. No idea what is wrong :/

  • Bootcamp not appearing when booting up 10.8.2

    Hi i'm new with bootcamp and decided to partition my hard drive with Windows(50gb) and Mac(400gb). I just logged and turned off for the last time. I rebooted again in bootcamp and held alt-option and it is not there anymore.
    When I try to boot up to windows it just says that the disk is not avaliable anymore. (System Prefs>Startup Disk>Bootcamp is still there and tried it.)
    Is it normal that bootcamp is a folder not a drive?
    i have read all the other posts about this and to delete the ntfs drives but i dont understand that. Bootcamp can be seen in Startup Disk but not avaliable in the boot up stage when holding option.
    I have also tried seeing what is wrong with the windows drive but i cant access it because it cant be modified.
    Please Help!
    Thanks

    Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
    It's normal that the Windows volume appears with a folder in Startup Disk. First, open Boot Camp Assistant, download the drivers and burn them into a USB drive or DVD. Then, go to System Preferences > Startup Disk, select Windows as your startup partition, reboot and install Boot Camp drivers in Windows. It will install all the drivers that your Mac needs, so it should work correctly

  • Light grey lines appearing when loading webpages.

    In the small time from when I click on a link and Firefox loads the page, there are these small grey lines that appear. (http://prntscr.com/56zhsd) When I bought my computer, there were none. But within a week they started to appear and they just kept on adding ever since.
    I've updated to the newest version of Firefox and I've run it in Safe Mode, no solution.

    Thank you '''so''' much.
    I was beginning to worry that it was a hardware problem as many of my computers that I have owned previously have had the same issue but on every program.
