Lines on web

hi,
I have create a report and i run that on web.
so the format of the report is not proper.
main problem with lines which we have drawn with text
just like this ------------ or ========== this type of two
lines are there.

Why can't I open my courses in my on-line school web site now when I have always been able to before?

windows recently updated and I updated my antivirus and since then when I go into my on line school web site I cannot open any of my courses.

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.

Blank lines in Web Dynpro ABAP

Hi experts,
how do I insert a blan line between two elements in a web dynpro abap??
I mean I want to separate both lines and for that I'd like to insert one or more blank lines.

Depending on the layout of the container you have your elements in, there are various methods.
The easiest (in my experience) is to use the GridLayout and then each element has paddingTop property. This specifies the padding (blank space) to be inserted above the element.
Experiment with how much space you want - I find 20px to be a good amount of space in those cases where I want to clearly separate two blocks of information.

BT On line billing - web page

It it just me ,
I find the BT web page incredibly frustrating, and have felt this w ay for a long time, when trying to pay your bill on line. There is a whole list of posed questions about bills but just not a simple "pay your bill now " button.
This can be done I eventually found by going back to e mails and logging through the e mail but then you have to know your account number ( which they kindly ! point out is on top of the bill - which you don't receive because you decided to go for on-line billing !!! to save paper. ) To find your account number you have to log on to BT web page - which you then think - Ahh click on" bills and payments " button - it's bound to let me pay there now I have logged in to my account. Well I couldn't. Then tried to view my bill - just same posed questions list - I just want to see my bill details.
The web page is supposedly redesigned and a pop up asks what do think of the new look - as bad as ever for me - incredibly frustrating web page.

Problem - over lie of data series in Line chart (Web Application Designer)

Dear Experts,
I have created a chart with below requiments from my user by using web application designer.
1) Key Figure 1 (Chart type -> column )
2) Key Figure 2 (Chart type -> column )
3) Key Figure 3 (Chart type -> Line; color assigned -> BLACK;    Visibility: Visible)
4) Key Figure 4 (Chart type -> Line; color assigned -> YELLOW; Visibility: Visible/Hidden)
5) Key Figure 5 (Chart type -> Line; color assigned -> RED;         Visibility: Visible/Hidden)
The line chart of Key Figure 3 must always appear in Front then others Key Figures.
Then following by, Key Figure 4. Last is Key Figure 5.
As I know the order of display line chart is infflucing by the order of Key Figure in structure by descending, likes below
1) Key Figure 3 (Rank of front -> 3rd; Chart type -> Line; color assigned -> BLACK;    Visibility: Visible)
2) Key Figure 4 (Rank of front -> 2nd; Chart type -> Line; color assigned -> YELLOW; Visibility: Visible/Hidden)
3) Key Figure 5 (Rank of front -> 1st; Chart type -> Line; color assigned -> RED;         Visibility: Visible/Hidden)
So, I have conflict on fulfilling these 2 request on assigning the color and control their visibility and lines over lie.
Please advice me if you have any suggestion on controlling the lines order.

I think I should further elaborate the problems. Thanks for your highlight.
I have a lines chart with five key figures. So my chart will have five lines.
Some lines from chart will overlap if the data are same.
When overlapping of lines happens, I want to control the order of which series should be appear first.
Likes below example,
1) Key Figure 1 (Chart type -> column )
2) Key Figure 2 (Chart type -> column )
3) Key Figure 3 (Chart type -> Line; color assigned -> BLACK; Visibility: Visible)
4) Key Figure 4 (Chart type -> Line; color assigned -> YELLOW; Visibility: Visible/Hidden)
5) Key Figure 5 (Chart type -> Line; color assigned -> RED; Visibility: Visible/Hidden)
           KF1 KF2 KF3 KF4 KF5
CW 1    30     30    80    80    50
CW 2    40     50    90    60    90
CW 3    70     50    90    90    90
CW 4    80     70    70    90    70
As you can see, there is overlap in these value.
CW 1 KF3, KF4 -->80
CW 2 KF3, KF5 --> 90
CW 3 KF3, KF4, KF5 --> 90
The order which i want the series should appear first when overlapping.
- KF3 must appear on top.
- Then, follow by KF5
- Last is KF4.
So now, i have no idea to control the overlap orders except adjusting the sequence of keyfigure from query.
Feel free to give me any input!

Is it possible to hide part of the line in webI line chart

I had webI line chart which is showing for 2 months data, and is it possible to hide the line for only first 10 days in the line chart and continue the line after 11 th day till the end?

@rajesh: I didn't understand why should we use Relativedate() function?can you please explain little bit more. Becuase the report has customer exit written such a way that if I run the report today it will show up previous 60 days
For example:
today is 04/06/2011
so in the report date column has values and shows up like
02/06/2011
02/07/2011
02/08/2011
04/05/2011.
So now I should hide/avoid/shouldn't show First 10 days. In example above 02/06/2011, 02/07/2011,02/08/2011.....like wise 10 days so till 02/16/2011 shouldn't be shown in the report. The beginning of the report should start from 02/17/2011 till 04/05/2011..

Status Line in Web Forms

I am using the static implementation of forms. I have specified
a console window in the forms property. I cannot see the status
line in version 6.0 (forms are displayed in the same frame as
static HTML). When I used version 5.0 of forms which displayed
the Web form in a new frame I got the status line but it was
always set to "Warning: Applet Window".
I like 6.0 implementation of showing the form in the same frame
but the messages in the status line is very important to my
application. Any help?
I tries adding "USESDI=YES" parameter to the static HTML, did
not make any difference. The client side looks like doing MDI
implementation because I can move my form around within the
applet window.

I'm developing with Forms 5.0.
With Microsoft Explorer the Frame always show the message
"Warning: Applet Window", but with Netscape Communicator 4.5 IT
WORKS!!! It always show the correct message.

Supressing Lines in Web Report

Hello:
I need to be able to suppress lines in the web report if the key figures are zero. I'm able to do this in Bex, but when I run the same report in the Web, the lines with zeros still show up.
Can someone tell me how to suppress lines in a Web Report?

Hi ,
Using a view in the web report to suppress results row works fine but it is not that great of an option.
Imagine you have a user who would like the option to suppress results row for the whole report and also the option to see the report with the results row. Then you would have to create two view and buttons or drop down and allow the user to switch whenever he see fits between reports , one with results and the other without results.
Now problem with that is if user select report with results and drills down multiple times then the users decide that based on his initial drill down he wants to see the whole report in the second option without the result so he selects or cliks on the button to switch to the second view, the problem is that when he switches back he losses all drill down and has to start over not very practical.
There exists a command SET_SUPPRESSION (Thanks to Heike Guder ) but i can't seem to make it work this is would be a better option, it is hidden from the users and you can insert it with a URL BW sommand. But i need to know how to use this command and where to put it does anyone know how to use it?

How to Install IHAT10.1.3 for both command line and web

What stage during the instructions are you encountering problems. Can you provide the error details if any?
The 10.1.3 iHAT is only Web based using Flash at the client for displaying compopnents. Unlike the old iHAT, there is not thick client provided to invoke from the command line.

Hortizontal black and white lines across web browser screen that appears and disappears but blocks usually 3/4 of web page, did not have with last version heard it might be my graphics card?

Since downloading Firefox 4, I will periodically get black and white horizontal lines that cover about 2/3 of the browser screen. There doesn't seem to be any trend to the website or areas it happens at, and will sometimes happen multiple times while scrolling through a large news article. The lines stay fixed to a certain area. The only way to get them to go away is to refresh the screen or if the page is big enough scroll to an area not affected and then scroll back. I've heard from someone that it might be my graphics card. My computer's a hand-me-down but not terribly old so it could be that the card is just old or bad, any other ideas?

Try to disable hardware acceleration.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

How to set value for table lines in web dynpro ?

Hi experts,
I'm new in webdynpro. My requirement is to set value to the second line when user press expand on first line.
In method ONACTIONLOAD_CHILDREN , I use get_static_attributes_table to get the current table records and change return table value .
Then i user bind_table to pass table to the screen.
It works fine for first time i press expand and collaps, but when i expand it again it throw out a dump 'OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED'.
Could any one please help to solve that?

First time i debug it work fine but the next time it dump with same import values. And it even did not reach the logic i add when i expand it again.

Notifying users on-line in web app - Guidelines

Hello all !
I have got a web application which uses servlets and JSPs. Users interact with the application. Basically servlets implement the business logic (validation, connect to database, etc), and JSPs show the results. My web application does not use EJBs, but the web container supports them.
I'd like to add the following feature, and I wonder the best approach. Any hint or suggestion would be highly appreciated.
I'd like to be able to send messages to the users that they may read when they log on the web application for the first time, or while they are using the application, be notified of new unread messages. The nature of these messages would be messages like "Tomorrow the system will be unavailable from 13:00 to 15:00", or "We are experimenting some performance issues due to ...". The users won't be either able to send messages to each other, nor will they be able to answer the messages received. Read messages will be removed, say, in 48 hours. Messages have an expiry date, after which, read or not, will be automatically removed (deleted).
So the main points are:
(A) Show the user the new unread messages at log on time. The approach I can think of is by accessing the DB table and search for any unread messages.
(B) Notify logged on users of new unread messages as soon as they perform any action in the application. I don't know how this could be accomplished, but something tells me that EJBs may be involved. Am I in the right direction? I've been reading about them but I don't control much that technology, so any guidelines for the architecture needed in my scenario would also be highly appreciated. My concern is also about the impact that using EJBs could do in my current web application. (I'm not asking for code or any specific implementation, but for the best approach to follow).

Are there any ribbon or dropdown options missing for only these users? Things like "Edit Document" and "Edit in Microsoft Word"?
Do these users have the "Open Items" permission? ("View the source of documents with server-side file handlers") Without this permission, document types with server-side file handlers can be viewed in the browser but not downloaded. These include the Excel
viewer xlviewer.aspx, Office Web Apps and even accessing versions of files.

Web Chart - Dotted Lines

It seems that you are not able to change the thickness of dotted lines in web reports. Every time I try to change the thickness, it resets the line type to a solid line.
Has anyone else encountered this, and is there a solution?

OK - I have now upgraded to BW3.5, and we still can't change the thickness of a dotted or dashed line - as soon as you change the thickness of any line that is not solid, it reverts to being solid!!!
Is anyone else encountering the same problem? Is there a fix for this? so far I haven't found anything...
