Lines screen iPhone 5

Hey, I have iPhone 5 (white) and I see a lines in my screen..
A Little lines in the status bar and in the arrows and more ....
This is version bug or screen bug?

Try resetting the phone:
Hold the home and power buttons at the same time until the Apple boot logo appears. No data will be lost.
If that does not fix it, then make an appointment at an Apple Store - you likely have a hardware issue with the phone.

I had this same problem with what's app. There is a new update for the app on the app store which is compatible with ios8. Update the app, or delete it and re-add it. I found a lot of apps weren't compliant with ios8, but after updating everything worked fine.

Tech support told me that the Engineers read and address these forums and I should post here for a response. I just made the jump from CS2 to CS5 where I found Photoshop no longer offers settings for line screen and screen angles for spot color printing. This is a critical feature for me and most others in my industry. Photoshop is the go to program for color separations for garment manufacturers and this is a crippling omission for us. Are there any plans to patch CS5 or to bring this critical feature back in future versions? I have been told by customer & tech support that my only option, while already owning CS2 & CS5, is that I will have to buy CS4 from a third party and go backward. While this may work temporarily, it imposes additional cost, and does not address the long term issue of the removal of these controls. Garment manufacturing is a relatively small, but constant industry among your customer base and Photoshop & Illustrator are our right and left hands.(Oddly enough - these controls are still available in Illustrator). There must be tens of thousands in the US alone. Can we expect this to be addressed?

As you can see from the discussion many many people are not happy about this function being removed.The whole of the apparel screenprint business.
Despite all this adobe has done nothing.
The problem with the above work around, ie use illustrator out put dcs files. Is that now for AI CS5 Adobe has removed the print to PDF function in the print dialogue box of AI...Meaning unless you know the correct printer (PPD) that is being used to output with then you will not be able to change screen angles and dot shape.....?? Or am I missing something ?
I send complex multi channel separations around the globe to hundreds of different printers for them to output.I do not know what machine they will output separations with but need to tell them what angles to use.This was simple before..But not now thanks to adobe.
Does anyone know of a work around for this ? Is there a generic Print PPD you can use so you can change angle dot shape in AI...
And NO I dont want to have to send a email or other documents with with my files stating LPI angles and dot shape.

Obtaining correct line screens

Hello all, hopefully someone understands this technical issue and could shed some light on the subject.
I work for a newspaper with an old web press. We have an HP LaserJet 5100 PS printer that I can easily set an 85 line screen (LPI) option and receive correct output. I need a replacement printer but I am having a lot of trouble finding one.
I tried a Xerox phaser 7500 dn but when I set the 85 line screen it comes out very fine (small dots - 85 lpi is quite coarse).
I tried an HP LaserJet 2055 that has ability for custom line screens but again when I say 85 lpi I am not getting the same output as the 5100. In fact this 2055 has a 60 lpi option, but the dots it produces are much smaller than the 85 (they should be bigger)
I don't clearly understand all there is to about LPI and DPI. Does the output resolution of the device affect the line screen? If so, how do I calculate a new LPI based on the output resolution? What do I need to look for in order to purchase correct hardware?
I was told both options above would do what I want but neither do. HP Tech support operators really don't understand what I'm talking about and keep telling me half their printers have custom line screen options but I doubt they will work (I purchased the 2055 after they told me it would). HP advised me to contact adobe as that is the software I'm printing from - though I'm sure its the device, not software with the issue.
We are slowly moving to outputting directly to film with our imagesetter but we still need to have a functioning PostScript printer for backup.

thanks for the info - that lines up with what I see when I'm outputting to the imagesetter - it only allows certain screenings at certain resolutions (the dropdown for screening lists the possible combinations) and rejects jobs that don't fit.
On the HPs, there are only 2 line screens listed in the dropdown (neither are 85) but when I manually specify this it works on the 5100 but no other.
I realize I need a postscript printer (and the driver along with it) but after getting two of them, I see it's just not that simple. I could look for a higher resolution device - would you know of any way I could confirm it will produce the intended output without purchasing it first?

The received emails should show in two locations:
1. In the All Inboxes tab of Mail.
2. The Inbox for each mail account,
If your emails are not showing in these locations try quitting the mail app and then reset your iPhone.
Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the app in question until it wiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal.
To reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Contact Apple support at the appropriate number from: http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57 and ask about possible screen replacement being offered in the UK for the iPhone 5...in the US that is only done on the iPhone 5, and not at all Apple stores at this time. Only certain ones are doing so.
If that is not an option, an out-of-warranty replacement for the iPhone 5 is $229 in the US, convert to Pounds Sterling.

Briefly put, I am not a fan of it, at all. If people want to know the scores of the football is a screen crawl during an NBA rerun going to be their choice? I believe this has come up before (during live Aviva Prem, for instance).
Stop rolling out the live score ticker and get rid of it forever, I say.

I have to agree with this post.
It's very frustrating to see the scores of the Premiership running at the bottom of the screen for the entire duration of a NBA game.
Not everyone cares or want's to see every premier league score, especially those trying to watch the basketball, and it makes the screen smaller too.
I enjoy lot's about BT's coverage but this is not one of them, we aren't all premier league fanatics.

In previous versions I was able to set the line screen of the printed sep from the Print dialog box in PS5 it seems to have been moved?

That's unfortunate. As time goes on, it gets harder and harder to communicate with Graphic Arts personnel because knowledge that was commonplace a few years ago has disappeared from the community consciuousness as newer bells and whistles occupy everyone's attention. Every function is automatic, and no one remembers how to do anything but click the few available "presets" that are in the programs we use.
Unquestionably, setting screen angles and frequencies of halftone is not something that more than a handful of people ever are going to need to do or even know about. Even Postscript Level 1 imagesetters had limited ability to minimize moire by setting custom angles and line frequencies and since Level 2, the prorietary alogorithms (that over ride conflicting file information) in imagesetters, platesetters and printers have eliminated that problem to the extent that "it doesn't exist anymore."
But the ability of these machines to "override" any embedded screen information in the incoming file can be turned off when a special situation necessitates, to achieve some unique combination of parameters. Again, these situations are the exception, rather than the rule. Silk screen printing comes to mind, but there are others.
One would think that the premier, and most expensive image editing computer program on the planet, which has contained the ability to specify custom halftone angle and line information since it became capable of color separations, would continue to provide those few pros who work in imaging output departments, and who are actually responsible for all the images that make it to the printed page, the capability to output their files as needed. And not justify removal of an existing capability, "to simplify the new printing code." Even if the need happens only once in a Blue Moon.

Interlacing/ Scan Lines on iPhone 4S Screen + Yellow tint!

Hi everyone I bought my 64gb IPhone last week and noticed that I have faint interlacing lines on my screen. My serial starts with c39 and I am extremely dissatisfied. I had my iPhone 4 replaced last year and the replacement had this issue as well. I am so sick of Apples qc lately. You can really notice the issue when the display is showing a light grey bg and also the iMovie and Facebook icons. Please respond if you are experiencing this issue. I also have the yellow tinted screen. What is going on Apple?

I have the some issue with you.I found this interlacing issue with my last Iphone4 in july 2011,and then got 2 replaced iphones having the same problem.when I get my new iphone4S these days,I found the same issue,although its Not easy to observe,and MUCH BETTER then my last iphone4,but its defintely there,I can also notice it!

and then save it into your camera roll. if you open it your iphone display will flash/flick very bad . (or when you push the "delete"button)you will notice it easier when you set that image as wallpaper and lock screen.

Line of White blocks in screen (iPhone 5)

Since a few weeks my iPhone 5 is showing a line of White 'blocks' on the top edge of the screen (over status bar). The effect sometimes disappears after the phone has been in standby, only to re-appear after using an App.
I have tried:
- complete switch off/re-boot
- complete erase of the phone to factory settings
In the latter case, the effect returned after synchronizing with iTunes.
Any ideas on how to get rid of this? It seems logical to assume that a specific App might be the cause, but I have no idea which one. I suspected Emoji, but erasing it didn't solve the problem. iTunes does not show the app anymore, so I am assuming that it has been erased properly.

I had the same problem, especially when I was opening the calculator from the control centre. I had a lot of apps grouped based on category. I fixed the problem resetting the main screen, all the apps were ungrouped and since then I’m not having that white block on the screen.

Yellow line on the left hand side of my screen iphone 4 after 18 months why has this occured whats the soloution?

I have had my iphone 4 for 18 months on contract..I have had no problems at all up until the begining of this month. The first issue was that the home button, double click issue wasn't working too well. I read that their was a way to calibrate the button which I had done ( please note this does not include opening up the phone) and I noticed that it works much better. However lately I have noticed that I have a yellow tint, line vertical on the left hand side of the screen. It is very faint when I wake my phone but then gets darker and darker.
I have read that people have noticed this on buying their new iphones however mines has just appeared. my contract is up in 6 months so I'm not keen on spending extra on the phone is there anything else I can do?

Try the basics from the manual. Restart, reset, restore.

Transparent diagonal line on iPhone 6 screen after contact with water

I had recently dropped my phone in water on accident and now there's a transparent, diagonal line across the bottom right part of the screen. When the phone is off, I can't see the line but only when it's on. After a while, some of it starts to fade away but, it's never completely gone. You really need to take it to the Apple Store and have them take a look at it. We cannot diagnose the extent of water damage that may or may not have been done over the internet....

Blue line scanning iPhone screen

Hi! I have a strange problem with my iPhone 5. A transparent blue line of a half inch is scanning my screen from left to right. Not only it's weird but also it makes the running application crash! This problem occurred after iOS 7 and it did not go away with the update. Does anyone experience this problem ?
