Lingering processes after running adstpall

Hi.
After running the adstpall script, all services stop as planned. Yet the following remains, and there are around 55 of them:
applprod 6401 2898 0 May16 ? 00:00:01 /usr/jdk1.6.0_16/bin/java -Xmx512M -classpath .:/apps/prod/prod
These are mostly from the last few days, but other from over a month ago.
What are these? (I realise they are Java processes - but why do they remain?). Can they be killed manually?
Thank

Hi,
Please see (Note: 374174.1 - One-to-One Fulfillment Server Processes Remain in Memory after being Shutdown).
You can kill those processes manually, but I believe the solution in the document referenced above would be more appropriate.
Thanks,
Hussein

  • Process Chain running even after end date

    Hi,
We are scheduling month end PC to run every 2 hours and also we have given end date for today evening.but process chain runs even after end date for every 2 hours.so we have to manually remove it from scheduling.
Any method how can PC stop on its own after end date .
    Any help highly APPRECIATED
    Thanks
    Nilesh Pathak

There might be multiple release jobs for thie process chain.
So check the same. Right click on process chain --> Display scheduled jobs --> Here all the jobs logs of the chain will be available.. So check the same here...
As you have descheduled it now.. probably you may not be having it as the first release job might be moved to Schedule status as soon as the END date has reached and then second one might have gone when you have removed the chain from Schduling..
Anyway check the same.. and also check in SM37 whether any other user has triggered it manually today or not?

  • Adobe processes keep running after closing program!

    Hello,
I have this issue with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder and Audition but not with Photoshop, Dreamweaver etc.
Everytime I close one of those programs the respective process keeps running in the background.
I can't restart the program until I go to the task manager and kill the process (AfterFX.exe, Adobe Premiere Pro.exe, pproheadless.exe)
I already tried a clean uninstall with the cleaner tool and reinstall but the problem remains.
I encountered this problem few months ago after a longer break from Adobe.
    Never had any problems before.
I cloned my complete system with Acronis on a new SSD few months ago..
can't remember anything else with much impact which could have triggered this.
    System: Win7 x64
    Software: Adobe CC

I found the Solution (for me at least)
It seems to be a driver problem with graphic cards from nvidia's 600 series.
I have installed the oldest available driver for my GTX 680 and everything works fine now (some newer drivers might also work)
I'm gonna write a e-mail to the Nvidia support and tell them what happened, pls do the same if you found the solution due to this post and
upcoming drivers gonna work well for us again.
    best regards

  • PSI - Budget Field is not getting after running Process Update Summary Bal

    Hi,
I have a project with Budget being created through Financial Plan types. After Baselining the budget and performing Actual Transactions, i run Process 'PRC: Update Project Summary Amounts for a Single Project' and 'PRC: Update Project Summary Amounts'. System updates Project Status Inquiry - PSI with Actual Transactions but Budget field is getting updated and it keeps on showing as Zero Budget.
Whereas when i create project with Budget Entry Method and not through Financial Plan Types, PSI is correctly updated after running these processes. Is PSI budget field intended for Budget Entry from Application Based Forms Only or there is something else i need to do get the PSI Bidger field updated.
Thoughts on this would be highly appreciable.

    Hi Dina
Thanks for your reply, please confirm what i have to do in order to populate the data to PSI from Financial Plan.

    Hi All,
Have this issue with wdmaud driver after I close the application the process will appear to shutdown however if I try and start up a new instance of it it doesn't load.
When I check task manager I see the process still running...

I've run this by the folks from Cakewalk forums and had some suggestions to try but to no avail.
    http://forum.cakewalk.com/sonarstdexe-still-runs-after-I-close-and-exit-program-m2960813.aspx
There is nothing on this in google that I can find "wdmaud!CWAVRenderer::FreeResources+0x8f"
Just wondering if there is anything I can do to see if I can fix my system, others in the forum can't replicate this issue...
Would re-installing the audio driver help?  I don't want to do this unless I have to or if there are any other suggestions to try...
    Thanks in Advance
    Jim

    Hi,
There are no physical audio or midi devices attached.  I have HP ENVY 17 j005xt Notebook PC and has built-in audio HDT High Definition Audio CODEC sound card - and has the latest available drivers for this card already installed supplied by HP
    as OEM.

  • SP3 Almost completes installation but freezes at the Finishing stage showing "Running processes after install"

I have an HP Pavilion zd7000 laptop with Windows XP & SP2 update installed. Processor is Intel Pentium 4. My system is clean with no rubbish software running. I have several anti-malware & anti-spyware systems installed but they are dormant & not running during the attempted installation. SP3 almost completes installation but freezes at "Finishing" stage showing "Running processes after install". Anti-virus is of course switched off. The system then hangs fore-ever with hard disc activity showing intermittently but nothing else happening. Luckily, by holding down the laptop on/off switch I can always eventually restore to previous settings & recover full use but without SP3! This is annoying & frustrating. I have seen a lot of threads about this problem but no real answers. Can anyone help please?

What is Shmrate.exe is not running?
This can be read two different ways
One well if you look at it like this
    User>shmgrate>Operating system>drivers>computer. Result is denied!
If you have something like this
User > User Account Control >Operating system>drivers>computer. Result is denied again!
Note that an adminstrator is only a adminstrator and Computer Adminstrator can install Sp(s). Which I believe is tyour question. Which is my guess.
Which is the reason some people reccommend installing from the "Adminstrator" account Which generally is not a User account. Yes some people add and modify there account access by using Subinacl.exe and reset.cmd, which bumps the account from adminstrator to Computer Adminstrator. An alternative is to boot into safe mode. Pressing the *F8* key before the windows welcome screen starts up. And selecting safe mode. Which is why more people report success with using the .ISO install.
To add to your confusion. Windows Sp2 usually has windows installer 3.0, or windows installer 3.1
Table us types of accounts. I wish windows 200 documentation had made it completely into Xps documentation. They had an excellent table with tthe types of accounts
Limited user. Not able to run more then basic programs. Not able to ;install device drivers, not able to install progras, not able to install Sp(s)s
Power user Able to run more advanced programs. IE Defragger.
adminstrator. Mess with the operating system, back up things, able to install programs, add users. When Windows Xp is installed this is the type of user associated with adminstrator. NOT CA
Computer adminstrator. Able to Install of all things Sp(s).
Hopefully this helps you out. Of course there is the release notes, Xp solution center and of course things to do before installing Sp3.

  • OID resource goes to Disabled Status after running the post process event handler

    Hi,
We have an event handler on post update operation. The event handler using the user manager API to do some modification. We are using the "Lock()" function of User Manager API to lock the user based on attribute value. After running the event handler though the user gets locked as expected, it also disables the OID resource after that. We have other resources along with OID but they are not affected with event handler. Only the OID user is triggering the disable operation on locking the user on event handler. We have used the OID 11g Connector for implementation.
If you manually lock the user in user interface it's not going to disable status.
How we can stop to disable the OID User Account.
    Thanks

No.If you lock the user in Console it's not going disable status.
    Thanks

  • Macbook will not boot up after running Software Update (Couldn't fix it)

    Hi there,
I also have been experiencing some problems after running Software Update (Security update + Java) a couple of days ago. Similarly to Jandaf (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=9000023) I have only the gray start up screen + Apple logo + gear wheel constantly rotating. Based on the information provided in this forum I have tried some procedures which didn't solved my problem so far. Below I describe I have tried:
    1) I have booted using the installation DVD and run the disk utility. When performing the First Aid/Verify Disk I found some errors ('Invalid node structure'). But I couldn't fix the problem using disk repair (same problem 'Invalid node structure' 'Volume check failed'.
    2) I also tried to boot in single user mode (command + s) to run fsck -fy. It didn't work. I got the following message (last 4 lines):
    CSRHIDTTransitionDriver::probe: -s
CSRHIDTTransitionDriver::probe: booting in single user .. do not match
Extension "com.apple.driver.AppleUSBTCKeyboard" has no kernel dependency.
Extension "com.apple.driver.AppleUSBTCEventDriver" has no kernel dependency.
    3) When trying to boot in safe mode. I got a grey screen with the following message:
'You need to restart your computer. Hold down the power button for several seconds or press the Restart button".
    4) I also tried to 'Archieve & Instal'. Again no success. After reading the DVD the action is terminated because some errors (does not specify).
    5) I also tried the 'German Medicine' (http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=8728797#8728797) (i.e. Connect the 'problematic MacBook' to my old G4 via firewire and reinstall the 2009-001 update). Again no success. The G4 cannot mount the MacBook hardrive.
I don't know what to do any more.
    A) Can I resuscitate my old system? If yes how?
    B) If not, can I at least save the data I have in my old HD?
    C) Is it possible to format and reinstall the OS or is this this computer doomed?
Apologies for writing so many questions but I'm really freaking out!
    Thank you.
    B.

    Hi BDAqua,
I did as you said and got a firewire backup drive (Seagate - FreeAgent Desk 500GB). I tried to make a carbon copy of HD but it seems that the copy had some problems. Below I report both the CCC and console logs:

  • Workbook not refresh after running Planning Function (BI-IP)

    Hi! Folks,
I have a problem with the Bex Analyser which not refresh the data after running Planning Function.
Step 1: Run Planning Function (There are some changes in records)
Step 2: I have to Run Process Variables again and input the same selection in the pop-up variables
Step 3: The changed records will be shown...
Can I have some coding in the Layouts of Bex Analyzer to refresh the data after running Planning Function?
    Brgds,
    Supasake

    Hi,
I had a similar problem that the resuls of my planning function were not automatically shown. Only if I did "something else" like saving or running another function the results were displayed.
I think I solved it by upgrading my SAP GUI6.4 with patch 14. the results of planning functions should be automatically displayed.

  • All FF versions above 3.6.3 crash on startup. No window, just the process is running.

I still do have the problem - as posted elsewhere - that I cannot install 3.6.4 or any other version after that. FF will never start - not even in safe mode - only the process is running and needs to be stopped via the task manager.
The bug responsible is already listed here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=574215
So far no one seems to have any idea what is causing these crashes.
Does anybody have an idea or the same problem?
    Many thanks.

  • Ipad screen is white. Restored it on iTunes. Press home and on switch goes black then back to white with no logo at all. Can't get past the white screen. This happened after running app updates. 16GB OS 7.1.1

The ipad screen is white. Holding buttons didn't work so I restored it on iTunes. When I press home and on switch, the screen is white,  goes black then back to white with no logo at all. Can't get past the white screen. This happened after running app updates. Is there any fix besides going to Apple store? In iTunes on computer can see what is on there. 16GB OS 7.1.1

    FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
    1. Turn off iPad
    2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
    3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
    4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
    5. Release Home button.
    ON COMPUTER
    6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
    7. Select "Restore iPad"...
    Note:
    1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
    2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
    3. Repeat the process if necessary.

  • Execute a DML process after user selects a column link in a report

    APEX 3.2 / RDBMS 10GR2
I have written a non IRR report that displays several rows of data. The first column of each row has a defined column link uniquely identifying the row. When a user selects one of the rows via the column link, a "hi fidelity" report is generated for that displayed row using a (RTF) report layout created in the shared components section of APEX.
This is working well but I also need to execute a DML process after the user selects a row but prior to displaying the hi fidelity report using the selected column link value of the displayed row.
As a URL is used to call hi fidelity report via the column link, it does not appear that the process section of the APEX page component is available to execute the DML prior to displaying the report.
Any ideas on where to define the DML process?
    Thanks in advance.
    Barry D

    Hi Barry,
Not knowing exactly what your URL calls, this is what I do for PL/SQL procedures that create HTML output:
Create a blank page with no template and call the procedure inside a PL/SQL region with no template.
Alternatively, if your URL opens in a new window:
run some javascript for your link and pass a unique request through.
The javascript needs to find the ApEx form, update it's target attribute and submit it with the unique request, then set the target back to blank.
The form will submit into a new window.
You can then have a process and branch allocated to this unique request to do what you want.
    Hope this helps
    Regards
    Michael

  • Process not running

I'm stumped. I have a really odd situation. Any help is appreciated...I've deleted the page, reloaded the app, deleted all the processes and recreated them...all to no avail.
I have about 20 after submit processes. Everything seems to look OK. However, a couple of the processes don't seem to be executing and others are executing but not listed in the debug on the page.
    Example of debug:
0.03: ...Process "Get PK for PHYSICAL_INTERFACE_ID Create/Create Another": PLSQL (AFTER_SUBMIT) declare function get_pk return varchar2 is begin for c1 in (select PHYSICAL_INTERFACE_ID_SEQ.nextval next_val from dual) loop return c1.next_val; end loop; end; begin :P780_PHYSICAL_INTERFACE_I
0.03: ...Session State: Saved Item "P780_PHYSICAL_INTERFACE_ID" New Value="32"
0.04: ...Do not run process "Get PK for PHYSICAL_INTERFACE_ID Create/Done", process point=AFTER_SUBMIT, condition type=, when button pressed=CREATE
0.04: ...Process "Get PK for VIRTUAL_INTERFACE_ID Create/Create Another": PLSQL (AFTER_SUBMIT) declare function get_pk2 return varchar2 is begin for c1 in (select VIRTUAL_INTERFACE_ID_SEQ.nextval next_val from dual) loop return c1.next_val; end loop; end; begin :P780_VIRTUAL_INTERFACE_ID
0.05: ...Session State: Saved Item "P780_PKG_RETURN_VALUE2" New Value="ERROR: Problem Creating Virtual Interface Table"
0.05: ...Do not run process "Call stored procedure - Virtual Interface Create/Done", process point=AFTER_SUBMIT, condition type=, when button pressed=CREATE
After running the process "Get PK for VIRTUAL_INTERFACE_ID Create/Create Another" I would expect to see a session state saved similar to the physical interface at time .03 The saved item "P780_PKG_RETURN_VALUE2" actually occurs in a process at a later sequence (which is actually much later--it seems to have skipped a couple processes).
Has anyone else see this type of problem? The last thing I can do is recreate the whole page (ouch!).
    Thanks,
    -Carmine

Good afternoon. I am running Apex 3.1 and Oracle 10.2.0.4 on RHEL 4.
The stranger part is that I have another box running a slightly older version of the Apex application--and that one works. The differences were not in this area/on these pages. Strange.
I tried remove and rewrite all the processes, deleting the page and copying it from another load of the application, etc. Since it was a development box, I'm reloading everything.
I can try to get something up on apex.oracle.com. But it was so odd as Apex saw the processes. I even opened SQL developer to look at the processes and it looked good. Yet somehow it seemed to skip a process (not even show that it wasn't to run due to conditions), and the session state from the PK not showing but another process.
I've never seen anything like it. In my investigation, I will note that something went wrong (invalid) with ctxsys.driload. I forgot the exact error. I'm not very familiar with this package.
    Thanks,
    -Carmine
